had to post it for others' convenience..

'There is a German saying which goes “Ich habe schon Pferde vor der Apotheke kotzen gesehen”, which translates roughly to “I have seen horses throw up in front of the pharmacy”. It is a weird saying expressing that even the most unexpected thing might happen, everything is possible even if things look very clear and determined (The saying is so weird because horses can’t throw up. Their anatomy does not allow it).'

Yeah it's kinda "Murphy's law" as well in a way lol

Hi,

you need to update the Blackcoin logo, you are using the old one.

plus the only official pool used by BC and ran by the Devs is this one :

thanks!

Can you set individual frequencies in BFGminer as well on windows?

I have ran CPUminer for a few hours and now BFGminer, and somehow hasrate seems to be better on the pool side with BFGminer

I don't want to put the Zadig drivers on here, real easy plug and play with both CPUminer and BFGminer.

Only I don't know if I should add extra settings in BFGminer, right now I'm using this type of command line ( xxx is just to hide usernames )

should there be a difficulty setting or I don't know, BFG has alot of options that I don't understand.

example :

bfgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://gld.hashfaster.com:3336 -u xxx.xxx -p x -d gridseed -S gridseed:all --set-device gridseed:clock=850

Guys, just want to let you know about scamming pool.
Do not trust to them. They haven't paid me at all!  Angry

http://blackcoinminer.com

I see 0 miners mining on that pool

Anyone using CGWatcher with bfg or cgminer on the gridseeds? if yes does it work good?

wow very nice work Volder!

If we needed an ISO compliant one, XBC would be my vote. XBL = Xbox Live to me.

BLK or XBC, I like them both. They're both easy to associate with BlackCoin.

I'm Liking XBC as well

Well I got a brand new GS and when I removed the heatsink I also got a bit of residue from the thermal pad left on them.

I guess it's just a matter how hard the little chinese kids tighten the screws  Tongue

Believe it or not but there was blood on my units :/
Well still is lol.

Also, after some testing here, it seems that these "mods" are somewhat bad. As far as I know, we get paid per share. I'm hashing away at ~530Kh/s (Running at 1213Mhz with 0 HW), but after 1 hour my machine that is hashing at 400Kh/s (900Mhz with 0 HW) is making just a few shares bellow the OC one (Like less than 5). I'm not even sure if I'm going to mod my other miners (I could be wrong). Anyone else who modded their units are running into this problem?

Thanks!

OMG it's not blood diamonds but blood miners lol

I can't tell you about your problem. I can say that without mod I can't go higher than 850. otherwise I get alot of red nonce.

What I did notice, is that on some pools I am able to push the Gridseed higher than others. Last time on one pool 825 worked and on an other 875

so I don't know about that but I did notice this happening on several pools.

1112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: The world's first LTC blade ASIC mining machine Gridseed G-Blade in Stock!!!!! on: April 09, 2014, 02:47:35 PM
its not a scam got a email from them to, also from diginforce. I asked for prices with minereu.com but I have yet to recieve an answer

They are way overpriced though.. It would be cheaper to just buy the old gridseed so thats what I dont get  here..

Second product allthough its the same chips I believe, but more expensive than the normal gridseed $/kh Huh

Bam,

it is way better to buy the old gridseeds for many reasons and not only the price.

If you buy the blade and you get defective chips you will have a whole board to change or even a whole unit!

while if you get 1 gridseed to fail you loose only a few of hashing power and thats only on of the things that could go wrong.

The only advantage is that it takes up less space/cables..

Hello! Excuse me, I don't know where to find out  - what type of usb cable end goes into the gridseed so that I know what to buy. thanks in advance

Hi

Use an 5 pin mini usb cable to standard usb 2.0

That's indeed quite funny.

And props for the article it's real nice.

I think I'll invest a bit in this coin as well, hopefully it will be worth something in some months Wink
1116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GridSeed 5-chip USB miner voltage mod on: April 09, 2014, 01:57:49 AM
Can someone point me to the page/thread that has the Gridseed 5 chip overclock frequency chart on it?
You know, the one that lists all the different frequencies from 450MHz up to 1400Mhz...
I can't seem to find it, easily..... ;(
Thanks

Is that the one you are looking for?

I've put a notepad in my CPUminer folder right away so that I could have quick access to it hehe
1117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GoldCoin™ (GLD) Thread - The Gold Standard of Digital Currency [OFFICIAL THREAD] on: April 09, 2014, 01:55:42 AM
Yes! that's the article I was talking about.

really impressive, this coin might be a very big surprise in the future with such a dev.

A pitty that it's quite silent here on Bitcointalk about this coin ( or maybe an opportunity to mine it easy for the moment :p )
1118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GridSeed 5-chip USB miner voltage mod on: April 09, 2014, 01:45:00 AM
I wonder, why do you not a higher frequency, I've just received mine and stock at 850 running fine getting about 350Kh out of it I haven't tried

higer freq yet?

Thanks for the update anyway Smiley

I'll post some results when I modded mine as well.

I'm using a PC PSU and better quality usb cable, the stock ones are really thin and short.

CPUminer works real easy, real noob proof, using the latest version with fine tuning the freq.

I'll maybe give BFGminer a try soon as it uses the same drivers.

I have unchecked the fifo buffer under windows8 and all seems fine for now.

This is a real nice coin, perfect name. DEV seems to be real talented as well, I saw him working on a new wallet system that would be awsome!

Anyone can let me know if what I am experiencing is normal

I connected my gridseed and using CGminer 3.7.2 with windows everything in CGminer looks like its working well ( no HW or rejects after 20 min) but the Gridseed fan seems like changing the speed of the fan from slow to fast every few seconds, it is not consistent.

the fan never stop rotating but you clearly hear the noise level go up and down.

is this normal or there is something wrong with my gridseed

Thanks in advance for your help

Never seen it happening before. What kind of Power supply you use?
