1101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin the future of online gambling? on: November 06, 2016, 01:13:02 AM
We can observe another step of evolution of cryptocurrency gambling. Fully decentralized gambling services running as smart contracts on Ethereum's blockchain.
I am talking mainly about vDice project - if developers of vDice will play that right, we could have a real 'trustless' gambling service in our hand.
1102  Economy / Gambling / Re: SPORTSBET.IO - Place where you can bet with bitcoins on: November 06, 2016, 12:43:34 AM
Just wanted to let you guys know of a small display bug.
I made a bet and got this slip:

-snipped pic-

here I had made a parlay of both games over 0.5, but instead of Over 0.5, it shows me Over 1.2 and Over 1.35 which are actually the odds for those bets.
Is is only a graphical bug? Your payment in case you will win these bets is not bugged in any way?
I can't remember if I ever encountered anything like that when I set my parlays on sportsbet.io before.
1103  Economy / Gambling / Re: Boiled Brains - new game on: November 06, 2016, 12:34:21 AM
I am not able to find any players, and there's no info about what the game is about on the site, therefore I don't know if I like it or not.

Here's some advice: Record actual gameplay of how the game works and upload it to youtube, then attach it to the OP of this thread and on the website so people can know what this is about.
Well, there is detailed explanation of the game rules when you click word - "Help Me!" below login screen. You will be able to understand (or at least know what is this all about).
But I agree, presenting new game and forcing players to create account. before they could play it is not exactly good idea. Most of potential players just leave before registering.
1104  Economy / Gambling / Re: Who is the best Bankroll among this sites and why? on: November 06, 2016, 12:24:41 AM
Ha, why you site gets so high reward? Is there any magic there? Or the bets are much higher than other sites?
There is no magic behind it. But I wonder what causes this huge disproportion of profits gained from different casino investments?
I mean, 40% profit on BetKing vs. loss on MoneyPot? It would mean that MoneyPot based services are the most profitable casinos.
Maybe it is better to play there instead and forget about investing?
1105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Turn Gambling into a Profitable Activity on: November 05, 2016, 02:20:59 AM
To turn gambling into profitable, you must turn the house edge to your advantage. So one of the way is to invest in casino. In this way, when the players lose, you will have shared profits and the house edge will always make sure a lot of people are losing.
Which not always can be profitable. There is an experiment going on where someone invested in couple casino bankrolls - some of them instead of profit - generated losses instead.
There is no way to turn gambling into perfectly fine profitable activity - the only exception is matched betting. Other than than there are no shortcuts.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit Gambling. on: November 05, 2016, 02:10:27 AM
before he ask his family to help him, at least he have strong will to quit from gambling, without strong will, i guess he just come back to play gambling. i know every people can do if we have strong will to do something.
Do you think strong willed individual would be addicted to gambling in the first place?
It works like that: addict knows that he are addicted but he doesn't want to stop, because it is his obsession.
Actually  very little percentage of gamblers would seek any kind of professional help. They usually need to hit the bottom to understand.
1107  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do we cross the 1000 USD barrier? on: November 05, 2016, 02:04:32 AM
My guess will be that we will have some sort of stopping news covering some type of negativity about bitcoin every time bitcoin will reach higher price.
Just like that yesterday's news about China thinking about bitcoin capital control and limiting international bitcoin transfers on Chinese exchanges.
We might be stuck with price range of $650-$750 for a very long time.
1108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Controlling your temper in gambling on: November 05, 2016, 01:20:59 AM
Some people shouldn't gamble at all, simple truth not many gamblers will acknowledge.
If you have addictive personality or have trouble with managing your stress and anger in general, or specifically during your gambling session - it is better to not gamble at all.
1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gambling Investments on: November 05, 2016, 01:09:53 AM
Is it just me, or does the exclusion of some entries from the table invalidates the statistics? It might make sense to recalculate the income earned from the beginning without the excluded entries, but, on the flip side, retrospectively removing failed sites doesn't add to the credibility and reliability of the whole attempt at assessing the profitability of investing in dice sites.
As far as I understand it is not exactly real scientific experiment where you continue with it no matter how bad are the results.
The money are real here and it is rather logical to cease contracts that are not profitable anymore and will instead generate losses.
1110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in on a Hillary win bet on: November 05, 2016, 01:00:05 AM
Actually hillary and trump both are great successor for US presidential election, because both of them have enough power to make US to be better but if you ask me to bet on which one to win of course I dont know which one. But still my guess trump will win, still I will put my bet on higher odds but not all in for everything
And you said that Hillary can change America after we know even more disturbing news about her lies and how media are favoring her?
She lied about the mails, she received questions for Presidential Debate. She is being supported by corporations and big business and after election she would sell US to them. /politics

BTW: Where I can bet on Trump winning election on https://www.directbet.eu/Event.cshtml?EventID=27713489? There is not option for Trump to win.
1111  Economy / Gambling / Re: Decentralised Gambling Game vDice Announces Crowdsale on: November 05, 2016, 12:47:24 AM
After reading discussion of RHavar with vDice team I gotta say that this project looks very complicated. To the point I can't even grasp how exactly this works.
Also Twitchy is right, you probably need someone experienced with Provably Fair mechanisms - unless your smart contract is totally different that standard Provably Fair systems...
1112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Learn how to gamble on: November 04, 2016, 02:42:30 AM
Anyone know of any good books to read, or articles that talk about gambling and how odds work, how the over under works and where you can find information on that.  I have just started betting at a site and I am confused by the term parlay and over under and who the favorite is, how much you will win if you win the bet and all that stuff.

Thanks!
It depends what game you want to master. You want to test every casino games or have some specific games on mind?
By the terms you posted you are interested in sport betting. This site can be useful for you: http://www.ildado.com/sports_betting_glossary.html
It is a glossary containing probably every sport betting term worth knowing.

Edit: The only issue/negative is having to input personal details on signup
This. And also they have quite harsh ToS. I wound't complain under normal circumstances as I agree that some kind regulation is needed.
But I have seen some other gambling services enforcing KYC rules when they didn't like that customer got extremely lucky...
I am not sure anymore that is here KYC policy is here to help deflect abusers or to help casino when they decide not to pay.
1114  Economy / Speculation / Re: China putting capital controls on BTC! (lol) on: November 04, 2016, 02:06:20 AM
From zerohedge:
Quote
...According to Bloomberg sources, Chinese officials are considering policies including restricting domestic bitcoin exchanges from moving the cryptocurrency to platforms outside the nation and imposing quotas on the amount of bitcoins that can be sent abroad.

Wait, if they do that, wouldn't that affect Chinese miners as well? This would force miners to sell only, or mostly, on Chinese exchanges.
Of course anyone in China can send BTC wherever they want and govt can't stop it, but businesses (including miners) can't really afford to play cat & mouse with the law.

So what's the worst that could happen from new restrictions?
I understand that Chinese government can regulate official Exchanges and monitor their activity. But how can they check amount of bitcoin sent abroad by normal people?
I can't believe that when everything was going so good for bitcoin we encountered another stupid regulation problem.
1115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your favorite gambling / betting website on: November 04, 2016, 01:57:51 AM
Other than playing with your coins - either you have earned them or worked for them, have you ever bought coins to gamble ?
Not yet , I used to play gambling with my free money I got from free way (signature campaign , trading , etc) and setting my limit about how much I want to deposit to play gambling because I don't want to risk my money only for "games" and "fun" only .
First of all money earned by participating in signature campaign is not free money. After all you need to spend some time and write quality content to earn it.

I noticed that my taste in gambling changes with time. When I started gambling I was avid fan of Slot Machines (I liked CoinRoyale's Slots especially),
then I realized that House Edge of Slots are too high for my taste and switched to Dice. Now I think the best way to gamble is Black Jack and Sportbetting.

I am sad that I was apparently late to claim that bonus for new players. I wanted to check your service now, but I can't even see what the game looks like if I don't register.
It is a huge deterrent for me (probably for others too) as I am lazy and if I can't see something right away, I usually give up.
If you could implement some kind of test feature for people people where you can play using test tokens - that would be amazing.
1117  Economy / Gambling / Re: POTLUCKGAME.COM Multiplayer Bitcoin game LAUNCHED!! on: November 04, 2016, 12:37:24 AM
Someone from your chat said that you will start campaign tomorrow (it was yesterday):

so hopefully we should get some players!

Are we talking about signature campaign here? Because I can't find any announcement in the service section.

1119  Economy / Gambling / Re: [NEW] The Bitiplier - An original and unique Bitcoin game - Feedback welcome! on: November 02, 2016, 01:52:51 AM
Waiting time kind of a problem for games like these. You need to gather all 10 players as the game can't be finished otherwise.
It is a deterrent imo. Also there is matter of game being 100% transparent, it is as DarkStar said, potentially admin could access the game and place a bet on winning position.
1120  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitDice Casino Survey. Small reward for completion the form. on: November 02, 2016, 12:21:11 AM
Actually this survey was not that long as I was expecting. I certainly spent on it less than 5 minutes of my time.
I didn't input my username as I don't need any kind of reward for completing it. Good Luck with new version of BitDice.
