You agreed to $419 when you purchased the items, the price the day before, the day after or any other day is irrelevent to your agreement. Anyway, Bitmain offering coupons - which are a gift and not a requirement - are as good as cash. You can sell those coupons to others if you don't want to use them yourself.
Exactly the attitude that makes BTC appear supremely suspect as a medium of commerce.  The recipient clearly has no responsibility to provide equitable value!  It was Bitmain that recognized the correct market price was actually $369, I'm part of that market!   Further, the coupon can only be sold at a significant discount, so basically, when buying from Bitmain, it's a lottery on the price, and expect limited value for any compensation you can't make use of.  Guess I was wrong Dogie, you are purely a lackey of Bitmain!
1102  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 17, 2015, 11:28:33 PM
i had this same problem last week at my local gas station.. i filled up my car almost 45$ worth of gas, the next day i drove by the place and gas had went down nearly 10c..
also last month, i got a few dress shirts from my local suit store. the next week they went on buy one get 2 free..

of course when i went in , they wouldn't give me my money back..

so um.. its common practice for business to not refund when things go on sale.
The dumbest post I've read in ages.  I'm duly impressed!  The $369 is not a "sale" price, it's their latest adjusted standard price.
1103  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 17, 2015, 10:30:50 PM
emoticons professional

Especially when you're being bent over a barrel with pricing shenanigans, and ineffective responses to support tickets.
I don't care about emoticons, but I do care about jacking the price around and then refusing to refund the difference resulting from my BTC order being the day before the ensuing price drop.  If I accepted biting the bullet on paying the $419, then Bitmain has no business refusing to refund the difference at $369.  What good are two coupons that require another dual S5 purchase given:

1) My plans include no further S5 purchases (have four including the two just ordered).
2) I have no more BTC at this time (I'm a fixed income home miner, not a data center).
3) The coupons are only good for about half a month.

What kind of reputable business doesn't honor its own pricing?  Since when does a limited time/limited target coupon equal refund?  If the price difference were even held in account, it would be something, but these damn coupons are useless to me.  Bend over is right!
1104  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 14, 2015, 05:35:45 PM
Yes, your order is important to us!  Your order is in and it is valid.  Other questions.. we are sorry we were not able to come up with the answer you wanted to hear.

DDOS STATUS:  Currently Site is UP & Running
Order Confirmation: Manually Being Processed
Is this your reply to me?  If so, be clear, I'm not at all happy with your disposition of my order.  I consider this to be a clear abuse of your customers and a sad reflection on BTC as a medium of commerce.  In fact, in light of this, I'm not at all sure BTC qualifies as a medium of commerce! An issue of accountability on the part of the recipient?
1105  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 14, 2015, 05:03:15 PM
@Bitmain,

You have my complete sympathy regarding the stupid and ignorant DDOS attack -- my preference is the perpetrators be in a court dock for prosecution, hopefully there will be progress in that direction.  However, my concerns regarding my order persist!
1106  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 14, 2015, 04:46:46 PM
@TrevorS

You are not Ddosing us right?Huh?

Stalking is for the DDOS guy
Wouldn't dream of it -- such behavior is disgusting and despicable!

So basically instead of sending a refund of the difference they are sending you a coupon instead?

To use the coupon, you will have to make a future purchase and they make even more money... genius.

This company reminds me of Apple Inc.

Very savvy marketing they have...
They're clearly not dumb, but combined with my loss of my earlier coupon, I can't say I'm at all pleased with them!  I likewise question that BTC purchase is an advantage over VISA!  It's appearing to me that BTC accepting company's very particularly take advantage of consumers that are willing to pay BTC.  How can that be construed to be good for BTC's future?  Strikes me as a form of scam!
1108  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 14, 2015, 10:36:59 AM
I have bought 3x $419 on 10 march .
However, the price has been reduce to $369. Is there any Coupon for more purchase?
Hi, I also bought 3/10, yes, apply to Bitmain and most likely you'll receive coupons!
1109  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 14, 2015, 07:19:38 AM
They have S5 now at $369 for March 30 release. Shocked
Yeah, I just emailed their support people (Janet and Yoshi) for a BTC refund since they dropped the price the day following my BTC payment for two!
I'm told by Janet I'm awarded coupons (my previous $30 coupon was cancelled by Bitmain when I was unable to make wallet payment for an earlier S5 order -- my wallet locked!)  Is this a proper deal for a one day old Bitmain specified US$100 net change in price?  And what are the coupons good for, I'm done with ordering S5, I'd next look at the next generation!  Strikes me a bit presumptuous -- is this what Bitcoin brings?  Would this be acceptable for a non-BTC purchase?  Are we all fools (just asking)?

I earlier realized my UNB wallet wasn't online and so I activated it.  It synced from ~2 weeks to 7 hours and then stopped.  I presumed it would take time to close the remaining distance.  Several hours have now passed and it was still at 7 hours.  I just shut it down, restarted and it's now saying 11 hours.  Is this blockchain forked?  If not, what's up with the wallet?

Xian01, we have our reason to do this. A very important diff driver will not be able to do anything to diminish your mining output.  Wait for our short explanation about it.

@Bitmain
It is very hard to stay positive.  How long must we wait before we hear your explanation?
Sadly, I'm not seeing a positive.  I started with USB stick miners July 2014 and graduated to used Antminer S3s -- a clearly good piece of gear. My first step "beyond" was the S5 of which I have two (had to fiddle some, but then purchased quieter fans plus adapters for two more).  Would have bought another two earlier, but my BTC wallet locked on me (my fault).  But now, two months later, Bitmain provides no opportunity to purchase at even a semi-reasonable price.  As I said before, very disappointed!  Looking as though my existing S3 are my best bet!
1113  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 10, 2015, 05:44:15 AM
Very disappointed.  I bought two for ~$790 shipped and two months later I'm looking at significantly more for something received two months earlier.  My cost of power is painful, but the cost of two new S5s is more!  I'm seeing little reason to buy before availability of the S7(?), my S3s are holding the fort!  Thanks Bitmain, but appears you're joining the established supplier community and appear to despise your international customers!  Guess I just have to wait!

<snip>
The only difference:  stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3334#xnsub

All my S3-s and sp20-s working fine only the s5-s not. If I remove the #xnsub they are working but no extranonce support.

I did not think that S5 supported extranonce.

It works.

Just try it out.
I tried it with both my S5's immediately after I got them setup, I had to remove the #xnsub before they worked properly with Westhash.  What file system and cgminer are you running with which it works?

Difficulty dropped Sunday to approx 3x the pre-P&D level, a lot better than the prior month long 6.5x, but still pretty difficult.  Am curious as to the next change, how much and how long before it happens.

Damn, Coinwarz indicates fixed Difficulty suggesting no mining is taking place, suggesting no mining pools.  Looking as though this coin is dead due to lack of a dev.  A shame, so much for my new wallet install!  Sad

Only if you trust me ....

Thanks for uploading that!  I'm trying to install and the wallet appears to initialize ok, but can't find any connections.  I tried adding a Fireflycoin.conf file with the earlier specified:

addnode Fireflycoin.com (tried .net as well)

But neither works.  Is there any other node list I can use?

Thanks!

PS. Just tried these from earlier in the thread, but same problem -- "No Block Source".

The recent P&D resulted in the difficulty increasing by a factor of 6.5.  That's a big hit!

In other words, this coin is not mineable (already been waiting a few weeks, expecting much longer).  I'd like it to be, and I plan to mine when the Diff finally drops. but I'm not holding my breath as to when that happens (or how long it lasts).  The dev doesn't appear to concern himself with such issues, rather, he appears to promote mining regardless of Diff.  Guess that works fine if people are willing, but personally, I can't afford it.  My residential electricity isn't cheap Sad
