There's probably no particular reason as there's no active development for it
Besides that lots of alts are up significantly today including Dash, Monero, NEO and BitShares

What's the difference between nodes and stakers?
Nodes require 5000 coins to setup and get a percentage of the network fees whereas staking can be done with any amount of coins simply by keeping them in your wallet to earn Proof-of-Stake rewards

What cryptocurrencies will this support and what countries will the VISA debit card be available to transact in initially?
We are aiming to be cryptocurrency agnostic and support as many as possible. Currently we are supporting ETH, BTC, and any ERC token and will continue to add as we develop. As for the prepay visa debit cards we are launching in Canada first, but will be looking to expand immediately. Regards, Jean-Marc That's good to know. The promotional campaign is unique yet could have a referral program to reward those who sign up new members

I would agree the practical uses for it are yet to be conceived of besides simply securing assets
It will be interesting to see if banks in the future will start to accept Bitcoin alongside other currencies once it becomes more mainstream

Definitely a worthwhile initiative so it gets a thumbs up from me! The more educative material there is available for crypto currencies the better

With Bitcoin futures coming in December you'll probably see more and more media hype surrounding it and a subsequent increase in value

Has the team given any indication as yet of what happens to the 40% that remains locked?
Will it be sold in an ICO, burned to reduce the supply, used for a giveaway or...?

Bitcoin is easily your safest bet for a long term investment but altcoins can of course return higher profits if you choose carefully Simply buy Bitcoin when it dips down very low Your other major choice Ethereum is also good long term and it's at a reasonable price still
