At this point, I don't think there's any reason to go with a Neptune, Cointerra is days away from shipping a proven chip/product. Buying now is May delivery, at 2TH for $6k, compared to some design thoughts on paper.

you mean those same design thoughts that are still only on paper for cointerra???

Yes KNC delivered thoughts on paper to product lightning quick, but stuff can still happen to cause major delays.

It's also easy since KNC is sold out again, but batch 3? It'd have to be a $3k Neptune to make it even a consideration.

The noise sounds like the fan is rubbing up against one of the radiator blades...  Were there any leaks with the water cooling?

So far, 1/1 units appear to have significant damage upon arrival.   Is anyone keeping a tally?  Might not hurt to start one.

Also - You might want to consider giving them a call to discuss a warranty claim (i think they only warrant these devices for a couple weeks).  At the very least, they can start to resolve the issues and they may end up shipping you a replacement unit.  Sounds like they have very serious issues to resolve.

Replaced fans and what happened was that the plastic holding the fan in place snapped in shipping due to (and I am guessing) the weight of the fan and bouncing around in the box.  The fans work but they need to be mounted and no amount of glue is going to fix that, lol.

Gave them a call and went to voice mail, emailed and nothing.  Probably is a warranty thing but sure they are not going to deal with it.  I was lucky with BFL wanting to fix fans but they are the exception.  I wanted them to know so they can avoid this with other people who may not want to fix their gear like I did.  Easier to avoid trouble then to fight your way though it.

I think so, I am now guessing that my unit is acting up due to heat.  I have noticed it shutting down and then one I pulled the front cover to let more air in it seems to be doing better.  Oh well, might need more fans, :-(.

Water leaking no, this is a closed system which has me worried but it seems to be working.  I hope HashFast put the coolant in.

eh, you are no KNC.....

 Cool  That's true...

HashFast's chips are about 3 times more powerful when compared on a GH per sq.mm basis.

HashFast is shipping with top-shelf quality Sea Sonic PSUs, so our customers won't have to put up with exploding/self-immolating units like KNC's did.

In addition, HashFast lined up an exclusive with CIARA, which means HashFast machines will be assembled and shipped with utmost expediency (no random guys helping load some random van), in professional/durable packaging.

That means double-walled boxes, so HashFast customers' hardware won't arrive broken like so much of KNC's did.

Finally, (again unlike KNC) HashFast has been working closely with ckolivas for a long time to ensure cgminer works flawlessly with our innovative new GN Protocol, Global Work Queue, etc.

Hi everyone,

Thank you again for all of your support and patience.

The pool is operational, automatic payouts are working, and the backend is pretty happy overall.

I have, however, taken the web stats offline temporarily.  The constant traffic was slowing down the progress of the catching up significantly, so, I've blocked access to the stats for now.  This should help get them caught up much faster, hopefully within the next few hours.

Again, the pool is working, payouts are working, etc.

As soon as the stats are mostly caught up I will re-enable public access again.

Thanks!

Good thing we had Reyhs here to keep eligius in line, or else for sure all our BTC would have been scammed for sure.
</sarcasm>

Reyhs, how are things coming along, will you let us know if the stats are still down?

Money received.  Thanks WK.   Grin

BTW, if I point my miners back to Eligius, will the stats now work?

Reyhs actually discovered they weren't working, he promptly notified wizkid, I'm sure wizkid is working on it though

Actually, all payouts are done, in three transactions since it was too large for one.

Reyhs, the next post in this thread better be nothing but an apology.

Let's imagine for a moment that I was right and the admin just unplugged statistics and now trolls you ? I'm not trying to argue that only suggest understand that my version also has the right to life and everything is possible you are now giving it its power, and before that was presented in 1400 BTC.

Sorry my english is very bad.

Your hatred will sparkle with new bright colors and bring a fresh feel, if you draw on the ass of the beloved face of your enemy.

It's your logic and reasoning that we take issue with

1. I take offense to the "newbie".
2. Just responding in kind to this guy. More fun than debating allegations
3. Are you sure there are no aliens in the government? Normal people don't behave like they do :-)
4. Thanks for your efforts to get Eligius back on its feet!

Why are a bunch of newbie accounts suddenly appearing and posting nonsense in the Eligius thread?

Just curious.

Nonsense, curious... still don't pay and lack on stats !

Could someone get his IP so wiz could actually BLOCK his payment? I really am rooting for him now, I want him to be right for himself and himself alone.
1112  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1300Th] Eligius: ASIC, no registration, no fee CPPSRB BTC + 105% PPS NMC, 877 # on: January 19, 2014, 08:32:11 PM
Purgenum on the sweet ! Any game with purses strain, problems with the statistics and the more payments, am I right ? So ghash also stop working... nothing to tell, jumped to eclipse...

For users of your intelligence level, I recommend dogecoins.  Memes are probably closer to your native language.

Hey, you damn scammer! I've been mining your pool for the last few days, and you only paid what you said you would. What the hell is wrong with you? (lol)

Sarcasm aside, I actually like Eligius better, but anyone calling the guild a scam is selling something.

I don't selling anything, i just want to understand what's going on !

Then STFU and listen instead of flapping your gums
1113  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1300Th] Eligius: ASIC, no registration, no fee CPPSRB BTC + 105% PPS NMC, 877 # on: January 19, 2014, 05:39:32 PM
Wow, just caught up on the latest posts.

I'm very grateful for all of the support and to all those that are defending Eligius and myself against the few quite obvious forum trolls.

I fell asleep last night while waiting for CPPSRB to catch up.... and when I woke up it was!  This is why balances, payout queue, and 128/256 second stats are working on the stats page now, as well as pool-wide hash rate.  As a testament to people's faith in the pool, it looks like only about 10-15% of miners jumped ship between Friday and now.

I was trying to watch the CPPSRB log as it progressed to make sure nothing crazy happened, but fell asleep.  So, I just now manually went through the log to make sure CPPSRB tallied every block we found while the database was offline.  Looks like it did, so, the balances shown should be correct for everyone!  Yay!

Now, full stats are another issue.  The www server is not nearly as fast as the new database server.  It is still showing.... *checks* ... 36 hours behind real-time Sad  I'm going to try and figure out a way to speed this up.  It is running at about 2x real time, so it is catching up... but at that rate it will take another couple of days before hash rate graphs start to fill in, and I think that is too long.

As for payouts, since this is by far the largest manual payout done to date, I'm going to manually re-verify a lot of this data before jumping into sending out tons of coins.  I don't foresee any issues, but, you never know.  There was a lot of data crunched, so, it cant hurt to crunch it one more time for verification.

Since the backend is now actually working as expected........ I'm heading out for the afternoon while the re-verification runs.  I definitely need a break from this......... and my girlfriend will probably kill me if I spend another day sitting here. lol.

Assuming the re-check goes well, I will try to get the full payout queue caught up with a manual payout tonight and get these coins out to everyone.

NMC payouts are going to be delayed, unfortunately, as they currently rely on data from the stats database to work properly.

Thanks again to everyone for your support. Smiley

-wk

P.S. Reyhs ... Please sign a message with the address you've used to mine at Eligius and provide the message address and signature to me and I will manually pay your balance right now.  If you do not, the shut the f* up because I doubt you even mine here at all, let alone actually have any appreciable balance.  Tired of your nonsense.

Bla, bla, bla... so many letters and no money. I only want to warn newbies, because you still don't pay and don't know when you start pay. I jumped to another pool when i see problem on eligius and wait, wait, wait... 0.08 BTC is not huge and i will wait and wait and wait, only i want to do is warn another BTC users about "problems on best pool ever". I have right to have my opinion and i use it and still think you scam !

He just said he'd pay your right now you cock.
1114  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1300Th] Eligius: ASIC, no registration, no fee CPPSRB BTC + 105% PPS NMC, 877 # on: January 19, 2014, 04:42:44 PM
In my browser i see that - Estimated Position in Payout Queue 820.61279937 BTC are ahead in queue, putting this user's payout after a 32 block delay.

So statistics work for someone, not for me ? Now i see 3 versions - 1440, 820 and 52 BTC from my browser and peoples. But i don't see BTC in my wallet anyway, pool still don't pay and statistic work "bad" !

Listen son, you're not getting paid, ok?

You're convinced it's a scam so a couple of us have decided that what you really want and what you really need is to be scammed, that way you can be right!

I know it's tough hearing that you're going to actually get something right for probably the first time in your life, but after all your negative wannabe posts, we just couldn't turn you down. Consider it a kind gesture on our part, so what we decided to do, to prove to you that it was a scam was to donate all your mined coins to the pool. We felt that you'd really get a kick out of being right, so now you can be happy that everyone in the pool benefits at your expense. Think about that - the whole pool benefits. Awesome really, we win, you lose - but wait! - you're right! so you win too. See what I mean?

So whaddayasay? Sweet deal, eh?

The good news is that the kind folks of this pool know that you might not be interested in donating all your mined coins to the other pool users forever, so we've given you the option of choosing another pool or - get this - continuing to donate to the pool! Wow! I never knew this pool could be so great! And like you I'm pretty new to the pool, so I have to thank you for donating your earnings to the pool. You get to say it's a scam, we call it a donation, either way, you're a hero! What's it like to be right and totally loved and respected by the whole pool? I can't believe how you managed to do that, first I thought you were scammed, now I understand you donated your earnings to everyone else in the pool!

Awesome dude! Cheesy

You pool co-admin or ? If you admin i will wrote forum administration your words and pool never return in paying pool... And i win 3 BTC if you right  Grin

Yes, he is right, and no, you don't get 3BTC because you never sealed the bet by putting up your 1BTC. See, when you did not put up your 1BTC for the bet we knew we could contact HashFast and have him donate your coins to the pool so you could be right. So since you got scammed, and we got the coins, please report HashFast to the moderators as a scammer.

Ok, software, server or DDoS collision, thats sounds better ? I talk only my opinion about that situation, situation looks like scam, smell like scam, etc. IMHO.

A very humble opinion. Like bugs are humble. And mud is humble.

Exercise your humility and keep your opinion to yourself during this time. WK doesn't need to waste effort on humble minds opinions. This outage has been handled professionally and there is no one who has put any amount of effort into reading the history of this pool who would doubt the effort occurring right now to bring the stats back online.

Yes, that outage is professionally handled. IYKWIM.

Wz doesn't charge a pool fee, and I think for that and other reasons, he deserves quite a bit slack here.

If you don't like it, there are other pools out there. Lots of pools have had database problems and delayed payouts. This is nothing new.

Lets move along and let the man do his work without whining about it.

Ok, ok i just tell you my opinion. But payouts still not work. My BTC still not in my wallet.

So as before he fixed it and you'll get it, so your just complaining about the wait then? So unless someone here can change the law of physics and make it run faster to restore the information and kick off payments quicker - you'll just need to wait. We're all in the same boat, he's already said nothing will be lost, so just keep on mining and you'll get it shortly.

Seriously, the least he could do is upgrade the server. Oh wait. He did that for use already.
1117  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1300Th] Eligius: ASIC, no registration, no fee CPPSRB BTC + 105% PPS NMC, 877 # on: January 19, 2014, 12:28:50 AM
Bla... bla... bla... pool still not pay.

3 hours. You came up with that figure based on your extensive knowledge of...?

So somebody talk about infinite time to wait and 2 BTC but in infinite i never win, because of it 3 hour. Why want to take bet ?

Ahhh, [ DO NOT POST SESC LINKS ]there[/url] it is.

1118  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1300Th] Eligius: ASIC, no registration, no fee CPPSRB BTC + 105% PPS NMC, 877 # on: January 19, 2014, 12:18:10 AM
in HYIP i don't have any doubt about scam, but i know eligius is not HYIP, so 50/50...

I smell a bet!

I propose we each put in 1 BTC.

If you win (Eligius never comes back up and this is a scam), you get my 1 BTC.

If I win (Eligius comes back up and continues normal operation), I donate your 1 BTC to the pool.

If you accept, we'll both send 1 BTC to escrow.

Would it be unfair if I also wanted to wager for Eligius coming back? Cheesy

lol, Reyhs, who's sock puppet are you anyway?

Anyway, forum trolls aside, update on progress:

Data is importing into the new database server.  Its working well so far, pretty speedy.  Still a lot of data to move and organize.  As soon as the shares database has enough data to move forward I'm going to fire up CPPSRB to start some accounting on the data, since that will take a few hours at best and I should be able to finish the imports before it completes or gets close to the end of the data.

-wk

At now i see only two lost days and unknown time to start, day, week, month ? But somebody may still mining here, not me... Than if you so good as talk here - stop the pool and return when all is work because work on pool without statistics and payouts not right.

Because it's keeping track of everything just fine, and it would be a pain in my ass for him to shut the pool down, not to mention costly having to run on pools with fees. Are you going to take the 1BTC bet or are you just a troll?

If here is a scam i lose more than 1 BTC, but i don't want to lose anything, that mens NO. So you not troll, but pool not payout right now. I give him 3 hours, if pool didn't work properly they totally means scam because 48+ hours is taken for repair. But it's not bet.

3 hours. You came up with that figure based on your extensive knowledge of...?
1119  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1300Th] Eligius: ASIC, no registration, no fee CPPSRB BTC + 105% PPS NMC, 877 # on: January 19, 2014, 12:14:29 AM
I go to BTC from some HYIP project where i lost 33000$ last year. It's not trolling, just my opinion - eligius have 300 BTC on credit before database collision, now after 30+ blocks more than 1 000 000 dollars on credit... IMHO, it's scam already, you just give him more and more and more !
...
Seriously?  You're going to try and accuse the most open of all of the mining pools of being a scam? I literally lol'd.
...

I reckon it is wizz'es girlfriend that is being scammed, just another half hour dear, then I will see to you, honest  Grin

Now that made me lol

My escrow offer remains for 10 more mins, then I gotta go to sleep. I imagine this is a simple troll though  Cheesy

I'll triple up your offer, troll: put up your 1BTC that Eligius is a scam, I'll put up 2BTC that it's 100% legit.
