1101  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: June 18, 2023, 06:20:40 PM
A VPN is indeed fine but don't use a free VPN. I used Duelbits in the past a lot and accessed it sometimes with a VPN (I am not from a restricted country but need VPN's for other sites) and after a while it caused me issues and I can't participate anymore in any promotions. They never really explained which rules I broke (probably shared IP?) and even with doing a full KYC, I am still excluded from everything.
I don't know if I have an account with duelbits account yet, I will need to check my file but as far as I remember I have used free VPN with many bookmakers, in fact all online bookmakers I used so far. Until this date I never had a problem. I think the limitation only triggers when you are running for promotions. But when you are just doing normal deposits and gambling then I do not see there are any problem unless the gambling site has a term against VPN.

But in my mind, I don't think any of us (or I) will even suggest our kids, someone who is known, a close relative or friends who is not adult yet to join the forum.

You will be surprised the kids will find the forum by themselves. This is possible that they may use some bitcoin keywords in their search and they will be redirected here. They will sign up with unknown username and keep interacting with you here Grin
It's possible but thing is I am not introducing it to them as long as they are under age.

If I discover the account and see s/he is really into learning bitcoin and the technology then I will feel proud for them but if I see they are building the account just to earn from the signature campaign then I will be disappointed. I will like them (suggest and help) to learn a skill and educate them first before even thinking to earn some pocket money. When he will master a skill then he will never have an issue with money.

[1.] Can we see the bets you placed. Please make the time of the bets visible.

Which of the following is true?

[a.] You deposited $2k, Placed bets (2 bets) and remained 1777 USDT. You withdraw the remaining balance before the bet was settled.
[b.] You deposited $2k, placed bets (2 bets), bets settled (assuming you won). Your total balance is obviously now over $2k. You requested withdrawal of 1777 USDT and succeed. Later decided to withdraw the remaining but now you are here.
1104  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitDice deceived investors? on: June 17, 2023, 11:49:18 AM
I have been watching this thread for some time, curious to see the outcome as the case seems to be so large and yet unresolved and not talked about.

Nobody has abandoned the project.

And yet, mid 2023 shows an abandoned project with an expired ssl certificate.
Early 2020 and this is mid 2023, three years is a long time.

At the time of the post you quoted, the project was not abandoned. The reason I defended the project is that, as everyone who was present at the time, recall the site even released a new version, added games etc. Things that could have improved the site. What was not clear, however, was that they had no intention of making investors whole. I did not know this when I defended them.
I have no doubt about it. It's a logical explanation.

BoXXoB, is just a campaign manager and there are no way for a campaign manager to know what goes in the management. A management can keep their employees in dark or spread misinformation to them.

That's very hard to believe.
Don't you think you are over reacting now?
Is this going to be another thread where forum member x is going to accuse for something unpopular and a group of forum police is going to start asking whatever they have in mind to harass the accused member? You people are pathetic mole in the community.

But in my mind, I don't think any of us (or I) will even suggest our kids, someone who is known, a close relative or friends who is not adult yet to join the forum.
I don't suggest it for another reason: privacy.

We have gambling sub-board, there are no rules need to mention that one doesn't need to be 18+
Agreed. But kids could just skip those boards, just like they can skip many other gambling websites.

I haven't seen anything worse on Bitcointalk than what I've heard at schools Roll Eyes

I won't encourage it, but if my kids find their way to a Bitcoin forum online, I'd be proud Smiley
I'm pretty sure there are much more dangerous websites than Bitcointalk. I already teach my kids not to use their real name (in games), and they use email addresses without any personal information for registration. When they're a bit older, I'll add the dangers of the internet to the list. I can't wait until they're 18 to release them into the wild, they need to learn, and the best time to do so is while they're young.
In public schools and the free world of the internet, we have no boundary for anything. I have seen kids not even 12 years (both) old, if my guess is not so wrong, are kissing openly like we adult do with our spouse when making love, as they don't care what's around them. A young kid of a close relative started to live with his boyfriend, left his parents, cut off all connections with everyone in the family tree does not surprise me too. Other day in gambling discussion I heard about this sex competition. All of it do not feel right but there are no way to deny too. I don't know how much I will be able to protect my children from all these uncomfortable events we witnessed but I am trying to provide the best I can for her to grow up safely.

How is this still Meta related? I'm not sure Tongue "Offensive words" are difficult for kids, it's so easy for them to take it personal. But still, school is much worse than Bitcointalk.
None of it now meta related between you and me LOL. It's sounds like two father (If you have no dispute that you are the mother 🤣) is having discussion or what they do and don't want to see in their children to do with Bitcointalk until they become adult. We both need to shut up now LOL
1106  Other / Meta / Re: Offensive words on the forum on: June 17, 2023, 08:44:40 AM
The forum is for 18+.
Since when? I haven't seen this anywhere, and it wouldn't make sense for an anonymous forum.
The last part I agree LOL. There are no way to verify the age.

But in my mind, I don't think any of us (or I) will even suggest our kids, someone who is known, a close relative or friends who is not adult yet to join the forum.

We have gambling sub-board, there are no rules need to mention that one doesn't need to be 18+
We have reputation sub-board, people do not mind to use in-appropriate slang towards each others
Then we have some selective people including me who use in-appropriate words everywhere.

I don't think I will encourage my girl to read what I write, not at least she become 18 or at least adult enough to handle the world of adults.
1107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: June 17, 2023, 08:33:21 AM
Gambling have a simple rule. Gamble as long as you are having fun.

It's an entertainment. You pay to be entertained. But Things become difficult when a gambler no longer have the fun but starts chasing their losses. Houses are here for business. They are profiting when you are having fun, they are also profiting when you are chasing your losses. So, when people try to make gambling as their major income source they are just risking their own health, family members health, financial health. Very soon everything will be lost and they will find themselves homeless.
1108  Other / Meta / Re: Offensive words on the forum on: June 16, 2023, 02:27:55 PM
Every person is right in his own opinion so do not use offensive words on others who make a post but rather convince them to understanding why their opinion is wrong
Some members of this forum do this alot
The forum is for 18+. You need a legal guardian.
1109  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Recover wallet with just wallet.dat file on: June 16, 2023, 02:06:48 PM
Without seed you have only the watch only wallet. You can not spend the coin.
I think it is an encrypted Electrum file that its seed phrase and password are encrypted, so he needs the password to be able to spend on the wallet as the file contains the seed phrase and password, but encrypted.
I see from the image it's an Electrum wallet file so yes you are correct, it must be encrypted.

Wallet is mine I just dont remember password hahahaha
I got it. It's just there are many people who ask help and later we learn that the files were bought or received it some how illegal way.

Did you say that you can open the wallet without the password? With the Electrum file, as far as I know, you can not even open the file if it's password protected. I will suggest the same as hosseinimr93, your best shot is to brute-force the password.
1110  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: ledger firmware update on: June 16, 2023, 12:11:58 PM
It is odd that ledger company decided to dump all their old faithful customers in a crazy attempt to attract new customers...
I don't think it's going to attract new customers too. May be those people who don't have much idea of crypto but as soon as they will learn their private key is not safe with them and they implemented such BS subscriptions idea, the clients will start to leave.

Yes they will find some one-time customers but not a customer base that will keep buying the product. A business can only survive in the long run when they have a loyal customer group who keeps buying their product. In the next a year or two ledger will be out of business.

I don't think you and me will ever care to have a Ledger wallet even if it's given free.
1111  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 20USD LTC giving 40 USD ETH NFT on: June 16, 2023, 12:04:08 PM
[..snip...]
Whatever the NFT is, basically you want to sell it for 20 USD. That's it?
1112  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Recover wallet with just wallet.dat file on: June 16, 2023, 12:00:14 PM
So basically only thing I have is wallet.dat folder without seed or password
Without seed you have only the watch only wallet. You can not spend the coin. There are people online most likely scammers, they sell wallet files in exchange of bitcoin I don't know how lucrative the business is but may be it works to trick people and they make money from it or we would not see them to invest their time in it.

How did you get the file?
1113  Economy / Gambling / Re: This guy gave a whole prototype of "how live roulette scam us" on: June 16, 2023, 11:31:29 AM
The only thing that we can do is to avoid those shady game providers next time and we can also report them so that they will get fired out.
I see many scam accusations against many casinos on the scam accusation board. They always create it against the casino they played. The casino defend themselves saying the game provider suggested them the player was cheating or whatever the reason they were blocked or did a misconduct of the player. If the player is good enough to provide evidence to support his accusations then we red tag the casino. If he can not then we just ignore the accusation.

I wondered why don't we talk about the game providers? At least I never saw a case where a game provider was accused. It's like they have the magic key, whatever they say the casino accept it.

The online gaming is always shady to me. I never trusted a computer program that is created without any guarantee to make profit but I had some faith in those online roulette that are live. Watching this video just broke my heart.

1115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: June 15, 2023, 04:53:10 PM
Can I participate in the next pool anonymously?  Grin
You can but I think we all will decide to give you 30 points penalty if you take the lead of the table at anytime 😂
I may advocate for you and will try to convince everyone that it will be unfair only if you decide to share your selections with me before starting of every round. I will try to copy and paste your selections 😉

And me.. yea I just got lucky I guess.  Tongue
We will see in the next season. If you are anywhere near the top 10 then you will be in trouble 😁. An anti-bullbro campaign will be activated.

All jokes apart, you both especially it was a great watch to see KTChampions. I guess in one or more rounds I was just talking to myself that how this guy gets all those correct and exact scores. At some point I started to believe that he has some special skill of guessing results until in the last few rounds. In the last few rounds he was not phenomenal but just like the rest of us who struggled to get an exact score.

buwaytress, received the prize money brother. Thank you again and the sponsor Betnomi. My wife is happy and she already had a pair of shoes and a nice handbag LOL. I did not sell the BTC though but I had to give her equivalent cash 🤣
1116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Abnormal BTC transfer in and out of address in the same block, how is possible? on: June 13, 2023, 06:43:25 AM
This is how Bitcoin works: anyone with the private key can move funds. The only thing that's left now is find out how the private key was leaked, and make sure it never happens again in the future. Considering the funds involved are quite significant, they should only have been send to a cold wallet. Hot wallets are inherently risky.

I know, I was just wondering how it was possible to send a Tx that was spending unconfirmed deposits (i.e. with 0 confirmation).
I don't see a problem as long as the first transaction is not changed.

A to B, transaction unconfirmed but you can still send coin from B to C.
However if the transaction A to B is changed like canceled (double spend and fees increased too I guess) then the 2nd transaction which was from B to C will drop.

Risk is someone can easily scam someone else who know how to drop B to C.

They will send a transaction from A to B with lower fees, obviously it will take much longer time to confirm. Then they will do the 2nd transaction from B to C.

Consider it's a P2P exchange. The buyer (BTC buyer) send the other currency that you two agreed on. His received bitcoin transaction is still unconfirmed but if he send the other coin and you decide to change the first transaction which was A to B then the transaction B to C will disappear and your buyer will never receive the BTC unless you send him the BTC again.
1117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 13, 2023, 05:51:57 AM
Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?

I asked this because those who made some money through gambling near me always go back to gamble and they end up losing everything they once made through gambling.
You already have your answers from the people near you. A gambler will always go back to the place where they made some money. No matter if this is something life changing or just a pocket change. At the end the house wins.

I know people who buy lotteries for years and once or twice they won few thousands and they are happy with it. But if they sum the total they spent all the years, then the winning is just peanut.

I have been in the gambling industry long enough to get a number of wins which I think are quite big, but somehow all these wins have disappeared intangible.
That's what happen eventually. The day I gamble, I feel less productive. All focus are on the bet slips, the match I gamble. End of the day when I lose my deposit I find, I lost both cash and time. With the lost time I could work in a new project or an existing project to make it better.
1118  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the name of this bookie ? on: June 13, 2023, 05:41:40 AM
Guys , please help find this bookie who offers ITF pre-matchs with TOTALS ?

https://ibb.co/ccw4Rpw
I don't think it necessary anymore because the match was ended yesterday. However it's hard to tell. You have posted a bet slip and asking to find the website. It does not look to me the regular betting platform I gambled recently. Some of them are sportsbet.io, stake.com, MegaPari.com

Where did you find the image?

Next time you can try Stake.com, Duelbits.com, sportsbet.io. As far as I am familiar with them, they offer almost possible all type of markets. MegaPari.com have some pre-setup for accumulators, you can try them too.
1119  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Image link not working on bitcointalk on: June 13, 2023, 05:02:24 AM
can somebody please help,
Comment below or you email me = hrik27@gmail.com
No one is going to help you via email, it's a forum.

You are lucky that you don't have many posts to edit. I see only one post have some images link which are hosted on imgur. I will suggest to update the post. Download the images and re-upload all of it to imgbb or talkimg, update the image link of the post. The images will work again.
1120  Economy / Reputation / Re: The whole reputation system is pure garbage on: June 12, 2023, 08:57:42 PM
Big scam accusations, eh?  That's disingenuous, because as you probably know quite well, most DT members of the old era had pages of negative trust and the vast majority of it is retaliatory.  Example: click on my trust page and have a good looky-look.
I am sure he is suggesting Yogg.
VOD's reputation is because of OG and VOD can not stand along with each others.
Lauda, we all know how s/he was.
suchmoon, revised the tag to neutral, I think that's not his concern anymore.
Foxup Foxpup is having fun since then with his merit recycling troll club. I think it was for cryptohunter only.

He hasn't specify anyone else, I will not analyze them 🤣
