1101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: November 05, 2016, 05:23:36 AM
yeah agree with you all, because of our greedy so gambling make us addicted
fun reason on gambling is not true reason for gambling make us addicted
because gambling is risk activity, but sometimes risk activity is funny thing for some peoples

There is some reasons which make gambling so much addictive things the more we get greedy than we lost the control and thinking that kind gambling is very easy way to make money for our needs, so this kind of behavior is really risky and that is why we get addicted to this.

We think it's going to be easy to win every time. It's a false idea but we got it in our mind and cannot get rid of it very easy. It's very addictive too, of course.. But this false idea gets us greedy each time.
It is really not easy to win each time you play gambling, it is always depend of a game, if the game is more on strategy and you know how to play it then for sure you can earn money in a short time, but once that you just have to rely on your luck it will be hard for you to win the game.
We should choose a game that we can use our skills and that our strategy is very important, with that we can increase our winning percentage and we may end up winning in the long run. When you are using a strategy and you stick with it for sure you are not prone to being addicted in gambling.

Most gamblers that are prone to addiction are those gambling purely with their emotion and no specific strategy at all.

I agree. Addiction to gambling will not lead to a better standing financially. It will just burn everything you have. No strategy gambling would term for the worse most of the time. Tho, some of them win, most of them will lose.
I have never seen an addicted gambler in my entire life that is successful in the long run, most of them only have a good luck in the beginning but since they are addicted, they will still lose all their winnings in the end. This is gambling which is addictive so we should be very careful with our actions.
1102  Other / Off-topic / Re: bitcoin affects life a lot on: November 05, 2016, 05:20:13 AM
I am a newbie and I am looking forward to get to know more about  Bitcoin. Hope this would be fun, cant wait for the coming days exploring bitcoin.

Yeah, try gambling with bitcoins. It will be fun to see all your bitcoins gone you win some amazing amount! Good luck tho, you'll need it! Smiley

Don't suggest him things that can affect his life in a negative way with bitcoins, gambling is something that should just be used for having some fun, if it is used for getting big rewards or profits it would surely affect your life negatively.

I think he's being ironic, everyone know the risks of gambling and you also can gamble with any fiat currency, that's not a bitcoin thing, the most people that gamble with bitcoin already played with fiat. So that's not a bitcoin fame.

This guy gets me. I think if he is a professional gamble he should try it on bitcoins. But if not, he should avoid it and try something else like investing in bitcoin itself. Well good luck investing.
You can win in gambling but the journey won't be easy, you need to work hard in the beginning and you need to have the self control that is necessary for you win, and winning should not only be focus in the short term but more on the long run to be able to win.
1103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: November 05, 2016, 04:51:58 AM
Hey people,

Does anyone else takes trading as a gambling game? Smiley

I wouldnt consider trading bitcoins on an exchange the same thing as gambling. Gambling involves a certain FIXED percentage change of you winning.

While trading is never a fixed chance. in gambling you usually know the odds of you winning but that doesnt apply in trading.
Also trading includes a ton of skill and intuition of when to buy/sell, while gambling is pure luck (excluding poker).

Trading is for sure lottery for every person that make first steps (each of us once had to start). So we can say that for beginners it is gambling. Everything depends from experience and knowledge. This same is with gambling - old gamblers know, that no one will be rich from gambling Smiley
No one starts to be good as the professionals, we all start experimenting things to test our capability and even try to consider our luck if possible. Trading is only considered as a hard way of making money if we are not consistently making money on it and the journey alone is not that easy if you want to be successful, you have to understand that it is like a real life business that you need to work hard to succeed.
completely right if we want to be more successful we need to make more focus on what we are doing, the more you attached yourself the more
learning you might get and that can be an edge to earn more.
I want to be a good trader but I do not have the right amount of money to start seriously, I guess money is very important because when you have one you will really make it serious and will make you will end up profitable in trading, with lesser capital you will not treat it seriously.
1104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: November 05, 2016, 04:49:18 AM

Do the self control or limit the time of gambling is the most effective and safest in keeping our lives. For if we've not been able to control myself so addicted in gambling will be made into a bad person and chances are that life now and in the future will be very bad and it can cause them to become crazy because it was not able to do anything because it has a lot of debt or poor
If all gamblers know hot to manage their financial I think no one will become get addicted but they just playing gambling if they wanted and nothing more. If we all know that gambling is not a money making machine we will be just fine by playing with it without risk.
Some people will always become addicted to things that stimulate the mind, gambling, drugs, sex, eating a cheeseburger it all does it. It's just that some have an addictive personality and some don't.
I don't mind spending $25 a month (0.03btc) on gambling, win or loose once it gone or doubled i cash out but not everyone can do that.
Yeah because it depends on our status in life, maybe you can afford to lose what you gamble but for the others they do gamble their money that they cannot afford to lose, hence it will make them miserable in the long run if they continue to gamble.
1105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: November 05, 2016, 04:44:00 AM
It is almost impossible to win in the long run with gambling because the chance of losing is ways bigger and those loses are going to keep stacking.
If you want to win more then you should be good in poker, there you can make it happen that you win more times then lose.
I agree with this, because for me poker is more on strategy than luck, once you know how to play poker and you are good by playing it, for sure you will win as often as you can with it than to play gambling games with just a luck.
thats right the advantage is always in your side if you know how to play properly its not just poker but also
sports bets the more you know the game the more edge  we have and it will easy to predict what will be
the outcome of our bets.
I play poker but I do enjoy more in sports betting so I am more focus in sports. What I love about sports betting is I do not need to rely solely on my physical ability but more on the mental ability, I am good in analyzing so I like to cap games and most the time I won but in the long run I still end losing money due to poor money management.
1106  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: November 05, 2016, 04:40:14 AM
Yes the price matters of the bitcoin and I think that its pretty important to have the price so we can see what is happening with it due to the fact that people are buying and selling on it.
If we do not have a price there will be less more buyers..

A value of something is really important and that is what and why we are working for. So basically if bitcoin has no value do you think that you would waste your time spending a lot of effort to earn some good bitcoins? Of course not, but because of bitcoins good price we are able to work harder for it because we know that it is valuable.
The price is obviously very important to us here, we are more inspired when we see a good price and whatever we do we are all happy when the price of bitcoin is increasing because we feel that we are living in a progressive world which is the crypto world.
because we knew that when btc rises up the value will be much better from our local fiat the more increase the better
we got in our investment so its really matter to most of us here.
The value depends on dollars so when the currency of your country is not stronger compared to dollars you will earn big with your earnings here, that is the beauty of bitcoin as we are not venturing business in our local place, it's like a world market when many opportunities we can see here.
1107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: November 05, 2016, 04:35:33 AM
A lot of people here gamble to become rich, but some do it for fun.

The question is, if you wake up tomorrow with 50 million dollars, would you still gamble for fun, or would you forget about gambling and do other stuff? Personally I think I would still gamble. I do it now, and I know I realistically will never get rich off gambling, because I barely do it and I don't risk much money, just for fun sometimes, to test my luck.
So if I had a lot of money, I would do bigger gambles, but they would still enter in the "for fun" amount (for the new 50 million standard). For example, gambling 1K a month would be irrelevant, and winning with a 1K bet can give you big rewards if you are lucky. It would still be fun, in fact more fun, and it would be as non risky as it is now, in terms of going financially bankrupt.

I liked your answer. I also do the same

Wow if i woke up with 50M dollars.. I would not gamble it.  I would just simply go on a long vacation and educate myself how to grow it and multiply it.
If I have that amount - i will go to Law School... and invest in myself some more.
good thinking mate finding more ways to grow your money would be much more fun and it will somehow move you away from gambling especially if you find that way from your interest it will focus your mind in what you love and make you more successful.
The more the better because you will not be focus more in one industry, as you as you know what your skills for sure you can be successful in every venture you are planning to do. Just do not do investment like you are gambling as that is a long term business, you had to have a decent investment plan to succeed.
1108  Economy / Economics / Re: Have $20 worth of bitcoin, how to earn more with it? on: November 04, 2016, 02:06:49 PM
Just use that money in gambling but choose sports betting where you can cap the games. I believe tomorrow there's a lot of game for NBA, if you are a sports lover, it would be your advantage. Just do take the risk if you want to grow your little amount of money.
1109  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: November 04, 2016, 01:59:41 PM
I will sell my expertise like website developement...i will post in whatsapp group or pm the prospect 1 by 1. It usually end with a sale..at least 1.
Well that is a good way to earn some good amount of money if you are really desperate. This is what I am doing if I don't have enough money already.

What I am doing is I'm selling my service as a computer technician and offers it to the people who are in need in different platforms like social medias.

And sometimes my past clients are endorsing me to other clients too. So that would help me in the times I really need it.
good move. I agree. but if you were in desperate need for money I would advice to invest your money here in bitcoin. bitcoin makes sense it has a lot of value and profits that you can earn a big amount of money. all you need is patience. try to learn the trading.  Smiley
Desperation requires immediate attention and I do not think putting your money in bitcoin will solve your desperation, you might lose your investment here as there's no guarantee that when you invest you will make profit. The price may rise and fall and if yo do not have the right timing you will lose.
1110  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: November 04, 2016, 01:57:26 PM
I think that yesterday was a panic selling by some people because the china government has tried (or did) affected the bitcoin by tried to control it, but the price again went a little up.

I do not think that yesterday's events and fluctuations in the price of Bitcoin is just a panic. Surely there are some hidden reasons

The reason behing the panic is that there are rumors that the chinese government will implement some strict rules against bitcoin and they would start taxing them heavily in order to reduce the amount of money flowing out of the country and this news had a big impact in the price

It's just a rumor and I doubt it is true - at least not to the extent market participants expect. While it is plausible that China wants to prevent capital flight it remains to be seen if the government will be successful in curbing Bitcoin use. I don't think so.

For me the timing of the news release (right after a major price increase) is highly suspicious and is not without precedence. It smells like market manipulation. One should check the amount of traded shorting contracts...

Without question it's a huge evidence of incapacity of journalists, who spread "news" without verifying its truth - not even knowing its original source.

ya.ya.yo!
Thanks for you insights ya.ya.yo... I like your theory and that convince me not to panic.. I will just hold my bitcoins now, and maybe buy more if the price fall back will continue. For sure if that is a real manipulation, the price will be back up again.
1111  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: November 04, 2016, 01:53:08 PM
I believe that Fiat will still be a long time to live. While there are state and government, will be Fiat. Without it does not do
You are certainly right, fiat will always be here since it is very useful to us. what we need is money and fiat is money and even bitcoin relies on fiat. Bitcoin might be gone in the future but fiat will never be loss in the circulation.
1112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much does it cost to create a btc gambling site? on: November 04, 2016, 01:48:53 PM
Gambling site demand high level security and custom script something made from scratch with unique attractive looking graphics, the running of gambling a business would cost around 25BTC but it depend on bet amount what is maximum profit you offer, if anybody have good bankroll than it will be nice to run a gambling site.

i think 25 bitcoin is a big too low for starting a gambling site! of course it is obvious that people are not going to make huge bets the first days or even first month of your site's creation but that is not the main concern in the beginning.

the cost of a strong hosting which is fast and also paying some good coder to build the site and then spend money on security. you will be almost out and you can barely get anything for the most important part which is advertisement and promotion.

Yeah I agree with you mate..25btc is not much, you need to have a backup funds that is unlimited because at the first month since the launch of your site you will not earn much because you may have fewer players to visit your site. You also need to have a good connection for those people who has a wider network in gambling so that they can advertise / endorse your site and sometimes you will be needing a money for that. pretty much it's a hard and tough job for you.
The amount you need depends on what kind of gambling site that you need. I believe if you are just creating a gambling site, that would not be enough. You need to understand that the promotional stage requires already a decent amount of money to pay your advertisers and to tell you, gamblers are more attracted to gambling sites with big bankroll.
1113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling loses and wins on: November 04, 2016, 01:44:33 PM

I do not know the exact number of wins and defeats me in gambling, but the exact amount of my loss greater than victory. I often bet on sports betting and sometimes also on the dice. But I gambled in small quantities and with restrictions, so I always deposited some bitcoin for gambling usually around 0:06 BTC and that I use for some games. And if the result I would not bet again.
You do not know because you do not track your loses, typical gamblers do that, we do not care of our loses but what matters to us is our winnings, therefore we are so bias or unfair because what we remember is only the happy moment of our life in gambling.
1114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 04, 2016, 01:27:17 PM
LA Lakers Vs Golden State Warriors

I am going for Lakers +10.5 points. Warriors just won Thunder by a blowout but I am counting on them to make it difficult for themselves against weaker teams.
Last season, Warriors mostly lost their handicap against weaker teams but won against strong teams. I believe this trend will still continue and the game will be closer than we think.
It's hard to trust the Lakers under the newly found success so far of the warriors, we know what the warriors can do and they are very dangerous. It might end up a big win by the warriors like they did with the thunder.

I want to play the Lakers TT on this one. (Over 108) seems pretty cool playing at home in a fast pace game.
1115  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be international currency on: November 04, 2016, 07:07:26 AM
Bitcoin will become an international currency if all countries adopt the relevant laws. Bitcoin is to be adopted by the Government. If there is no support, it will not spread around the world
There's no law, and that makes bitcoin to be the best currency as we have freedom in using it. The fact that we can transact all over the world it already means that we are using a currency that has a feature of an international currency.
1116  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Paypal a scam? on: November 04, 2016, 06:50:14 AM
PayPal is not a scam, but without a doubt its policies are a pain, especially if you are a seller, since PayPal can freeze your funds and ask for verification over and over again for no reason at all.
Paypal is like a bank, they can freeze your account once you violated their policy and the policy of the state. They know if transactions are illegal or not and normally for illegal transactions that is not allow. The AMLA requires them to be strict if I were not mistaken as they have bank partners.
1117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have 5K€ to invest ! on: November 04, 2016, 06:44:55 AM
Better to invest your money in bitcoin. As currently price is increasing,
you may hold and sold your bitcoin, it will double or may triple your
investment. Also,
Put that in gambling site, there more profit in gambling sites since gamblers loses most of the time and you make money. Just be sure you will be strict to your game plan and hold it their until you decide to sell. You are getting the best benefits since you will earn from gambling sites while the price is increasing.
1118  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: November 04, 2016, 06:41:05 AM
It's hard to say which is more important, both are required. But if you ask me, I would say that having savings is more important, given the fact that having savings you can handle your expenses and even invest.

You got it, both of them are important and needed. Because you can't even invest if you don't have savings and what you are going to do with your profit if you are not going to save it or unless you will invest it again. But I'm a bit more focus with saving because I used to save daily and I just wanted to be always in safe haven.
Actually you can, but you have to borrow money from a lender or most likely in a bank and I say your investment venture is riskier as you need to pay the bank as well for the principal and interest and if you investment will not succeed, that would be a big problem I guess.
1119  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: November 04, 2016, 06:37:23 AM
The future of paper money will be the same as present there is nothing will be change. bitcoin is just alternative online and i think it is impossible that we can have a paper money for bitcoin maybe coins like casassius coins..
I disagree as time passes by more and more people are using electronic forms of exchange instead of paper money, paper money it’s bound to disappear maybe not today or tomorrow but eventually.
In well developed countries the usage of paper money may very well come to an end at some point, but that won't be the case for third world countries.

They at all times will depend on cash money as there is absolutely no way that they will all have access to internet via their mobile devices.

But then again, if I look at the current situation here where I live in Europe, I must say that people more and more rely on electronic payment solutions.

I think within 5 years that the far majority of the people here will ditch cash/paper money as there simply isn't any need for it anymore.
You are correct in your assessment in third world countries but even in those countries cellphones are everywhere so I’m pretty sure that usage of paper money has gone down in third world countries.
Not really, paper money will still be in demand in the third world countries as even people have the gadget that's useful to transact online but they do not have the interest to do it, they just use their internet for social media thing..

Paper money is safer and easy to use so they just stick with it.
1120  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: November 04, 2016, 05:50:45 AM
For me it is not the same gambling is for fun and entertainment.. but trading is business for me and it is like on forex.. you can predict your own and set your own margin to make a profit you dont need to bet or something like in gambling because gambling you will lose there and you can not recover anything.. unlike in trading that you can recover some partial of loses.
But what are the similarities you are finding with gambling and trading and I believe you might got many situations in those you got feel of doing your trading in gambling way like throwing blind balls to book unexpected huge profits. But, both gambling and trading has mystery to unveil only we touch them. But, we should never go trading in gambling approach.

It's not possible to know with sure how much profit we will make with trading. Nobody can knows with 100% sure if that coin will increase its price in the future, maybe the prices can go down and you lose your investiment on this coin. I think that is a unpredictable job, it's not very dangerous like gambling, but it's not so safe like buy BTCs and hold it.

Trading is an investment so there is really no assurance on how much you can earn with it. And it depends on the fluctuation of the coin in the market and that is why trading is unpredictable job, I think it must not even considered as job because that is just a sideline, but well there are a lot of people depending on bitcoin trading and treat it as their job.
Because if you learn deeper from btc trading for sure you can earn a lot fluctuation really play the big roll with this investment knowing when to place your entry and exit point will be an edge.
Everything requires a lot of time and effort to be able to learn the beauty of trading, once you master it, that's the time that you will start to make money and not just ordinary money since there is not limit in making money in trading.

This is  true,  learning   trading  would be really an  opportunity to make  profits  and good  money  with it as  long   you already gained  knowledge  with  it  but  its  not  an easy  thing to achieve   though   you would really need  experience  and    enough  knowledge in able to sustain. Remember the risk of  lossing money  is still there.
Everything is possible here, we can make money in trading as we are just relying on our skills and if we can make it right we can maximize our income here and we do not need to work anymore with the money at hand. As long as we can earn consistently we will be fine with the small profit.

I do agree with this, it is very tricky and unpredictable job to do because it requires a lot of patience and you must be open minded. You must have the skills to deal with it the rise and fall of the trend of trading monitoring as it requires time to watch over on your investment, which is not easy to manage with. Even though you are gaining good profit to it it doesn't mean you're confident enough to think that its permanent, there were times you experience downfall of profit. As  we all know things in every situation deals with risk at all time, all we need is a focus and again as I've said patience.

Just like me, what I just did yesterday was very unpredictable I am promising to myself that I won't sell my bitcoins but it just did happened because I am sort of panicked when I saw the price of bitcoin is falling. That is why trading is really a very unpredictable and hard job if you are just going to depend on it.
What you did is just right to be able to sell bitcoins when the price is falling as long as you are in profit, the price will rise again so if you are planning to buy, you can always do it when you see bitcoin's price is cheap again.
