11001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with the situation of non-recognition? on: May 20, 2017, 10:05:36 AM
Well, yes in many countries bitcoin is legal but in that case it is authorised and recognised by the governments in my country, government has not yet recognised the bitcoin in terms of law (not given legal status) thus it is misconception in minds of most of the people (thanks to the media) that it is illegal to use it.

Your misconception is wrong. Mainstream media is still branding bitcoin as illegal (Ponzi, HYIP, etc). but it is not. I don't know which country you guys are from but you have to understand that bitcoin is global. No country or government can stop someone from using bitcoin. Again, media is not a source of information specially about bitcoin. Since you are already a member here, feel free to go around this forum and try to learn as much information as you can. Bitcoin is not illegal to used.
11002  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Impact of drinking alcohol. on: May 19, 2017, 03:16:53 PM
Every Year thousand of thousand people died of cancer and major portion are come from alcohol addiction.
So....

This is a ridiculous statement. Researchers have not yet been able to prove the link between alcohol and cancer beyond doubt. Also, you should remember that ethanol is not a carcinogen. Only when it metabolizes to acetaldehyde, the risk of cancer arises.

There are many people who abuse alcohol, but throughout life they do not have cancer. The research is not entirely accurate, many factors affect the occurrence of cancer.

I am not a big fan of alcoholic drinks. In my family itself, we have lost multiple individuals to alcohol-related illnesses such as liver cirrhosis. But posting wrong information about alcohol is something which I can't support.

I'm sorry for your lost. I don't have a family member who died due to alcohol related illnesses. But still I have stopped drinking alcohol for more than a year now. I totally quit because I don't like the effect anymore. And because my doctor had advised me for the reason that it cause some reaction on my stomach. I just drink like 1 or 2 bottles of beer if their is some celebration like birthday. I just drink just to socialized but I limit to 2 bottles only.

Cavs have no match, wow, game 2 cavs will win
What do you mean by Cavs have no match? They don't have no match against Boston or they don't have an upcoming match? Well if you are pointing out about their next game, it's on Saturday. It's a crowd favorite that Cavs will win and they are the ones that will face in the finals with Golden State Warriors.

It means that no team can match the Cleveland Cavaliers in the East. I thought no one will noticed that post as it's like a spam post for me.

No doubt that it is likely the rematch of Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors in the finals. But still, Im hoping that the current West match will surprise us if ever Kawhi Leonard will back. It's unusual if we see San Antonio Spurs being sweep in a series.

Agreed. It looks like we are going to see a rematch from last years final. I initially though that either of the 2 teams will reach the finals again this year, but I'm proven wrong. Leonard's injury was really the turning point of their series against the Golden State, and without him the chance of them being swept is goes to the roof. The timing of his injury disappoints a lot of San Antonio fans. I guess, we have all to look at Warriors-Cavaliers again.
11004  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-05-19] Bitcoin Price Rose to $1900 on: May 19, 2017, 12:43:13 PM
I observe this also. The recovery process of altcoins especially bitcoins are very fast compared to the time span of the dump. I'm wondering if someone is manipulating all the price of cryptocurrency. There are many speculation on the forum that the altcoins are just in bubble that's why I'm thinking now if I'm still gonna hold my assets or convert now while the price is still high.

Obviously, manipulation is the main aspect of altcoins. In most cases it's a group effort of a few entities that control the far majority of the circulating coins. Look at Ethereum and Ripple, they are the perfect example of how entities are just buying up their own coins, with the result of the price going up to current insane levels. What happens in the meanwhile is that they are slowly unloading their insanely expensive coins. In other words, those that are buying at current levels will get eaten alive. I was feeling sorry for those that were buying at current levels, but it's now turning into something funny, because seriously, what sheep buys 1ETH at $110? Lips sealed

Agreed. Alt-coins are just pump and dump coins. There are entities behind those price manipulation. You can also find a lot of pump and dump groups popping up here and there. They just pump a coin then if the profit is already present, they will just dump it as fast as they can. Another example is Bytecoin, which jump 250% then going down as fast as it rises. Bitcoin recover quick as well, but its now just a pump and dump coin. It is now fully trusted, market is mature not just to panic sell. It even has a backing of a country now that is going crazy about it
11005  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Facebook our most potent weapon, UK political parties say on: May 19, 2017, 12:05:12 PM
Facebook has a very high influence on what happens in this current world, look at how with the help fake news spreading through facebook, Trump was able to win the elections in the USA.Even terrorists are using facebook as a means of recruitment and spreading their ideologies.
The mistake many modern politicians is that they underestimate the importance of social networks. At the election of the President of the United States Trump proved it. I don't know how this is related to Trump, but after he ordered an investigation against Trump and his team dropped the price of the stock market, Zuckerberg lost $ 2 billion because of the falling shares of Facebook. This punishment?

Right. This is one of those times in history when regular people actually has a relevant say in what's happening in society. I think social media has the power to make up people's minds and make them believe in whatever news it caters. It can be of good use or for some, it can be manipulative. Though one thing is sure, it can hold power that can really shake up any government

Correct, social media is too powerful a tool not to used specially in election. I remember there was some politician here that don't want to used Facebook because he didn't know the potential power is possesses. Alas, he lost in the election and the next time he run again, he campaign in Facebook and was able to explain his platform in their pushing him to win this time. So I think politicians around the world will used it because it is a very effective tool specially in reaching your constituents.
11006  Economy / Speculation / Re: A new milestone 2000$ on: May 19, 2017, 11:30:26 AM
Everything is possible. Just for this month we experience huge price change, and we are very close to hitting 2000 very close on some exchanges is little less the 30$ that is very small amount and can be easily jump to over 2000$. Think that it will be just moment peak when hitting this margin and that price may be drop for 50$ down after that or we might see something that is really familiar word around here "To the moon".

$2000 is almost there. But I still believe that there will be some correction price that will last a few days. But then we will see the price rising slowly. As what I have said before, any prediction on bitcoin price is really possible now. There is no stopping now. Bitcoin really proves a lot of its distractor wrong. You will see threads here saying that bitcoin will die or bitcoin is dead now. But look how the price of bitcoin. No one has ever imagine beginning 2017 that we going to touch $2000 and now its within reach. I hope the price will be sustainable so that its truly going to the moon from now on.
11007  Economy / Economics / Re: Make money from money on: May 19, 2017, 10:53:49 AM
A good investor should be confident and have a positive mind.
Characteristics of a good investor is that they are risk taker, patient and disciplined.
Passion, commitment and flexibility of investor are the factors which makes them successful.

I agree with your points, these qualities, as you said passion, disciplined and flexibility, if anyone have than definitely he is a good and perfect businessman. We mustily have disciplined in our life than i believe we could easily manage our life and no problem in personal life and in business life.
It is a proof, we could earn money with our abilities, it is not necessary that we always earn money from money.

I think if we really want to make money from money, the best option is to have a business whether its online or offline. This would be the perfect strategy. I'm putting myself as an example. I have a offline business and the earning from signature campaign was being used to make more money in my offline business. I found this very effective because I'm having a continuous cash flow within my business that helps me a lot in terms of being financial stable as of now.
11008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take part in casinos' tournaments? on: May 19, 2017, 09:10:12 AM
The only tournament that I went so far is in a land based casino. Its a slot tournament actually. I was picked because that time I won a big jackpot in a slot so I was automatically enrolled in it. I totally forgot if their is a entry fee or not. But I take part of the tournament where in we played a certain slot machine and we are given like 30 minutes and the winner will be with the most amount of bankroll when the timer is up. Unfortunately, my bankroll is swept at around the 20 minute mark because I always used max bet 30 lines x 20. I got a few jackpots but I wasn't able to really put my bankroll to x3 or x4. I guess I wasn't lucky that day.
11009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does this community use bitcoin? on: May 19, 2017, 06:22:53 AM
What I mean by this is do people view bitcoin as:
1. as a money making asset (which is bought with the intention of creating future benefits/profits), moving back to fiat currency to take profit.
2. as a legitimate currency which people use to store wealth regardless of its price compared to fiat currencies?
I think it differs from person to person, personally I am saving bitcoin as long term investment even though there is no any clear law here in our country regarding use of bitcoin or storing them. But I have quite positive feeling that bitcoin price will grow significantly and even our government will recognize it as legal asset/currency in near future.

It really depend on the person. Like me, I buy bitcoin as a investment or store of value and keep it for long term. Because I believed also that the price will really go high in the future. At the same time, I'm earning bitcoin and used it as a additional cash flow on my offline business, sometime used to pay monthly bills as well. It is regulated in our country, so I don't see any issue with having bitcoin as investment. I also see community members using bitcoin in trading and gambling as well. So I say it really depend on the individual on how he/she is going to use bitcoin.
11010  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-05-19]Bytecoin: The Original Anonymous Cryptocurrency Jumps 250% in Comeba on: May 19, 2017, 05:46:17 AM
The author of the article just admitted that Bytecoin is just a pump and dump coin. Even though that he calls Bytecoin as the original anonymous cryptocurrency, and Monero just a fork from it, it doesn't have the support of the crypto community as evident by the trading volumes prior to the pump. And at the end of the article, he says that

"However, the market cap of Bytecoin is already starting to decline and after reaching it peak earlier today, it has fallen by over 100 percent."

I just LOL This statement really shows that indeed this coin is playground for pump and dump groups to play around. Unfortunately, nothing is special about this coin sorry to tell.
11011  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the Reason for increase of the Bitcoin? on: May 18, 2017, 06:45:35 PM
Bitfinex's USD issues and the Chinese market closures have distorted the functional ones badly. I think that's probably the major factor for the rise beyond $1200. It's possible that by the time those issues have been resolved the price will be new normal but I wouldn't bet on that.

I totally forgot about the Bitfinex withdrawal issue. Maybe is not been talked around since.

If the OP is asking the reason for the increase of price of bitcoin. The simple answer is more is demanding to have a bitcoin now but the supply of bitcoin is less. We have now a country, that is Japan, backing up the bitcoin ecosystem and they are now the no. 1 country in terms of trading bitcoin volume. And there are a lot of countries that are now interested in bitcoin as well. So currently, the demand is so high right now, but we can only supply a little. Pushing bitcoin price to new horizon.
11012  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Poloniex caused the market to crash on: May 18, 2017, 06:14:03 PM
Poloniex is attacked if not all days almost all days, soo i wouldnt be surprised is for sometime the website not avaible to trades, poloniex is a big exchange and with a huge volume daily, an ambicious target to take out as well to try to hack, but im pretty sure poloniex does have several measures to handle ddos attack as well a shield to protect against hackers.
They might have several measures to handle DDOS attacks but are they capable to handle the volume they are getting, that is the biggest question we have to ask, some the things i saw and the complaints i heard regarding the delay in withdrawals and the trade window getting stuck and in the mean time the price of the coin plummets is not the work of hackers, because if the site claims that the hackers did that then i would say that the site is compromised.I am staying away until everything is resolved and back to normal.

Well I don't think that the measures they have put in is enough to handle DDoS. I'm thinking the worst, they don't have any measures to handle it. that's why the moment they got attacked Poloniex crashes making bad speculation on them. I hope they have improved their security in handling such scenarios otherwise who ever is behind the DDoS will continue to harm their business that will make people moved to other trading platforms. Which make them lost revenues day by day.
11013  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin for all levels of society, without any difference on: May 18, 2017, 05:38:45 PM
Bitcoin is decentralized so that whoever you are from wherever you are rich or poor, you are free to use bitcoin for any purpose. Bitcoin is freely used for anyone. anywhere

What is your response with this opinion?

If you have access to internet, most likely anyone that has interest on it can used bitcoin. However, there are some countries specially in the African continent that don't have access to the basic need like food and water so I don't think that they can and will used bitcoin. But for developed or at least a developing third world countries, then definitely they can used bitcoin in any means possible. They can invest in it, or do trading, or earn bitcoin.

11014  Other / Meta / Re: Can a newbie quote or reply in any topics in the forum? on: May 18, 2017, 05:03:39 PM
I just want to know if i can reply or qoute in any of the discussion.

Of course you can quote or make a reply on any subject here in our forum. Just remember not to spam, but to add value on the discussion and not just post one liner. As you can see, there are lot of thread here and I'm sure you can contribute to whole discussion and share you ideas, comments or suggestion. That's why is it called a discussion, exchanging one ideas about a certain topic. But there is a limit for newbies, If I'm not mistaken, its like 6 minutes before you can make another comment. 11015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you positive or negativeO? on: May 18, 2017, 04:20:44 PM
I'm still on the positive side as far as I'm concerned. Few wins here and there. I still have some btc on one online dice game that I seldom touch. I just login and play some then go just let it sit there and come back tomorrow to play. When I used to play on a online based casino, I always separate how much money I can bring so that at the end I will know if I'm on the plus or negative side before going home.
11016  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-05-15]Wannacry Forced 20,000 PetroChina Gas Stations Offline, Is Bitcoin t on: May 18, 2017, 03:44:49 PM
That's the problem with the Chinese government. Bitcoin cannot be classify as a virus. Still they didn't know what bitcoin technology is even with the Chinese. I only speculate that they want to characterized bitcoin is more harming that beneficial to the general public. We all have to take protecting are online business seriously, because hackers are really looking for any exploit they can find specially on Windows OS to inflict harm or like we now see, extort money. But thanks to the hackers, people now are taking steps to upgrade all systems before they become the next victim of such an attack.
11017  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Princess is giving up her royal status ,for love. on: May 18, 2017, 03:10:26 PM
I think its high time that someone should his or her title because they want to marry someone who is not of royal bloodline. I really admire the princess for having the courage to do that.

It is not a big deal nowadays. Apart from a few nations such as Thailand, Bhutan and Swaziland, the ruling families don't have much power. In Japan also, the royal titles are for namesake only. Anyone can insult the emperor and get away with it (don't try doing the same in Thailand). The princess was fed up with the palace life, and she wanted change. I just hope that this relation will not end in divorce.

She just want to live a normal life that's all. It's not always happily ever after for a princess. They just have little or no influence to Japanese, they just carry a nominal title in their country. Yeah. I hope she find the perfect love and not end in divorce indeed. There are also similar love story like this in history, so this is nothing new. I don't know what the reaction of the royal family though. I guess they will not stop the princess from making her own decision, specially about love.
11018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The power of Bitcoin on: May 18, 2017, 02:18:11 PM
How bitcoin is powerfull???
Though the statement to me is clear enough,  but let me try to give this simple example, early this year around January 1BTC was sold around $880-$920, and now its $1822.37. No Altcoin has achieved that, so how can you not consider it being Powerful

You can't compare btc to any alt-coin.

As for bitcoin, yes we already saw its power in terms of its price surge. The price is more than the 1 ounce of gold now. Who would have imagine that? No one. But many of us who has believed and stayed with bitcoin through the years is reaping the rewards. The power of bitcoin has reached Africa, Asia, Europe and the US. Even a country is now backing up bitcoin and more will follow. They understand what effect bitcoin will have in the financial landscape and they want to maximize its full potential. And I believed that bitcoin price will really skyrocketed in the future. So the power of bitcoin has far reaching effect to the general public globally.
11019  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-05-17]Poloniex Goes Down, Users Lose Big on: May 18, 2017, 05:04:01 AM
A DDOS service is irritating, but not as devastating as a hacker attack. If Poloniex loses its funds like Mt Gox did, it could take down half of the crypto world with it. It has by far the largest volumes of crypto trades taking place.

DDoS attacks are mostly fired on an exchange to cause the market(s) to react by panic selling, as not accessible exchanges are a sensitive subject nowadays. Don't forget that big money is involved in the crypto market. If they rent/buy a DDoS attack for a certain amount of hours, the results for the people behind it may be more than rewarding. It's definitely worth a shot.

This is not a news Cheesy  Poloniex is already known for having this kind of problem whenever trading activities heats up.  Worst it goes up when trading is already over making users lose a huge amount of money.  I wonder if it is really the connection problem or an inside job to reap all the profit once coins are hyped.

I also noticed that Poloniex has been targeted lately by DDoS attacked. It's not bitcoin fault, we all know that, but at least Poloniex should have anticipated this kind of attacked since there is money, big amounts of money involved and they need to safeguard peoples asset.

Wondering also we is behind this attacked on them lately? Are there groups that want Poloniex to be taken down? Who will benefit such attacked on a trading platform and cause panic to investors or traders?
11020  Economy / Marketplace / Re: AI in your product on: May 17, 2017, 04:56:41 PM
I'm not certain if the photoshop "intelligent fill" (is that what its called?) feature, where it intelligently fills an area based on what surrounding areas look like, is AI based but yeah if it is its pretty awesome.

I studied about that, yeah. At the moment, I am more interested in the so-mentioned "intelligent features" over creating a new HW. If Photoshop's intelligent fill was mentioned, do you know any similar technology in the financial technologies field?

I'm also not sure if artificial intelligence has a place on financial sector. I think it has more negative impact on that industry if ever any AI has been implemented. There are a lot of gray areas in the financial world, that can improved the productivity of banks. Well, AI can help banks improve operational efficiency but they still needed humans to make strategic decisions that an AI can't make specially in delivering profitable growths for bank. So there's a big challenge is to rethink their operational model to take advantage of AI's capabilities.
