The radical feminism movement is a good thing. It points to men the women they should avoid sharing their bed with, the rest of their life.

That's actually really true Tongue I always make a mental note when I see some angry woman ranting or if I see a girl RL acting like they do to never ever date them, helps you identify some of the craziest ones.

Do not forget: Until cloning becomes legal, they do not reproduce. Also, lots of women in the radical feminism movement love abortion. If you think long run like in bitcoin-year, they are on a self destructing path of total annihilation.

I am sure the great amazon women existed in the past. Once the men realized to just avoid being kidnapped until those warrior hit the menopause age, it was game over for the great tribe.

When you have a battle plan against Mother Nature (or Daddy Nature), make sure you have all the scientific knowledge to not only create an amazing team but a whole military strategy to win your "war"

Homosexuals, hermaphrodites and anyone feeling to be "in between" the sexes are part of humanity as long as they was a recorded history, but only through radical technology their tribe will grow beyond the same statistical numbers.

In the mid time just enjoy their inspiring writing as they are ephemeral, as always.

What do you think should be done about assault weapons? Do you support them or not?

Today will be a great day for Colorado....

The Democrat statist Colorado House Majority Leader Dickey Lee Hullinghorst believes the 2nd amendment argument that guns can be used as a form of self-defense is ridiculous. According to Hullinghorst, it’s government that keeps you safe—not guns. Never mind all the evidence to reveal the horrific results of gun-control polices found in this warning from the UK and a list of massacres that followed the disarmament of the citizenry.

Democrat Hullinghorst also believes that there is no right to carry a gun, but rather the citizens have a right NOT TO CARRY. Hey—that’s not my logic—that’s the logic of a statist.

But wait, there’s more, Hullinghorst also feels gun-control—a.k.a. people-control—will keep the children safer. Uh, yeah… cause that works soooo well for Chicago citizens and their children (even the police aren’t safe in Chicago).

Today homeschooling crackpots, tomorrow bitcoiners homes can be invaded. This is exact reason why every person should have FAL rifle ready at hand at all times. Legal or illegal does not matter as long as you are the person controlling the trigger.

Armed persons against children are overkill.

Using that rifle will only escalate the issue even more

So you spend your life paying taxes, never late at your job. You helped people in need. Then because the very open minded people who love centralized Borg like mindset decided that you are a nut job believer. It is OK to kidnap your children?
Don't get me wrong. Cults are real and destructive. Give them a school test first before you break a family apart with guns.

Then they tell you not to do anything "to escalate the issue even more".

Snake eyes! thank you for playing the game of Life.

I understand your point, the whole situation went way to far and they took no concern regarding the children. I also agree with you that cults are real and destructive. But what do you think will happen if you draw your gun while the police comes barging in your house? It would only result in more pain and suffering.

I am not sure what I would do. The government are paying hostage negotiators for sensible situations. Instead of sending people with guns first, why not sending a shrink and then have the guns wait outside just in case. It is hard for me not to wear my tinfoil hat and wanting to believe this escalation is somewhat wanted? Was there any clear indications in the past the use of overwhelming force would be used to confiscate family members?

It is a sad situation.
11005  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The problem with atheism. on: September 08, 2013, 07:18:09 PM
Let me start by making it clear that I am an atheist.

The problem I have with the atheist agenda is that is stops at 'the non existence of God' - the same logic is not applied consistently to the whole of the human condition.

If I examine my life and use this same 'spaghetti monster' logic, I am drawn to the same conclusions about all my actions and activities - they are all as equally pointless and irrational as worshiping God.

If I rationally examine my sense of self I realize that it is just a genetic innovation - it encourages self preservation - genetic selfishness creates a genetically induced illusion of self worth.

My desire to survive is itself as delusional as a belief in God - pain and my fear of pain are a genetically induced survival mechanism I am in thrall to.

If I believe in God and survive then it is no different to not believing in God and surviving - nature will select for survival.

But my actual survival is meaningless whether I believe in God or otherwise.

This is the only conclusion that can be logically formed from a real examination of life.

Atheism is merely another tribal display - a peacock's tail trying to attract a mate through a verbal display of intelligence.

And yet you keep on living, posting threads about the meaning of.. Not true atheism, but life itself really.

Beautiful isn't it? Smiley

I believe in God (supreme energy, consciousness, etc, etc) because I can question its very existence and I love the fact that real atheists, like yourself exist.

Yeah, why murder an innocent green plant? Has it ever done anything to you? No one has ever died because of it.

The Mexican Cartels would disagree with you about this. But yes it is a natural plant... Until its THC level is artificially boosted by humans, and transformed into pure hashish.

GMO Weeds are next.

So I vote yes for the weed you find in the forest, untouched. And no for the weed with blood on it.

11009  Other / Politics & Society / Obama administration had restrictions on NSA reversed in 2011 on: September 08, 2013, 02:32:45 PM
More and more proofs Obama lied when hiding behind the "Bush did it! That was his monster! Let's have a national conversation about this" excuse. He owns and loves his Prism 110%

http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/obama-administration-had-restrictions-on-nsa-reversed-in-2011/2013/09/07/c26ef658-0fe5-11e3-85b6-d27422650fd5_story.html

The Obama administration secretly won permission from a surveillance court in 2011 to reverse restrictions on the National Security Agency’s use of intercepted phone calls and e-mails, permitting the agency to search deliberately for Americans’ communications in its massive databases, according to interviews with government officials and recently declassified material.

In addition, the court extended the length of time that the NSA is allowed to retain intercepted U.S. communications from five years to six years — and more under special circumstances, according to the documents, which include a recently released 2011 opinion by U.S. District Judge John D. Bates, then chief judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

What had not been previously acknowledged is that the court in 2008 imposed an explicit ban — at the government’s request — on those kinds of searches, that officials in 2011 got the court to lift the bar and that the search authority has been used.

Together the permission to search and to keep data longer expanded the NSA’s authority in significant ways without public debate or any specific authority from Congress. The administration’s assurances rely on legalistic definitions of the term “target” that can be at odds with ordinary English usage. The enlarged authority is part of a fundamental shift in the government’s approach to surveillance: collecting first, and protecting Americans’ privacy later.

“The government says, ‘We’re not targeting U.S. persons,’ ” said Gregory T. Nojeim, senior counsel at the Center for Democracy and Technology. “But then they never say, ‘We turn around and deliberately search for Americans’ records in what we took from the wire.’ That, to me, is not so different from targeting Americans at the outset.”

The court decision allowed the NSA “to query the vast majority” of its e-mail and phone call databases using the e-mail addresses and phone numbers of Americans and legal residents without a warrant, according to Bates’s opinion.

I have always been curious to what the average number of Bitcoins that people own is.

That is why there is a big push for gun regulation, registration, taxation and ultimately confiscation in the USA.

I am guessing it is forbidden for a German family to have their children grow up on a sailboat around the world then.

http://www.wnd.com/2013/08/police-storm-homeschool-class-take-children-by-force/

“The children were taken to unknown locations,” HSLDA said. “Officials ominously promised the parents that they would not be seeing their children anytime soon.”

The raid, which took place Thursday at 8 a.m. as the children were beginning their day’s classes, has been described by observers as “brutal and vicious.”

A team of 20 social workers, police and special agents stormed the family’s home. HSLDA reported a Judge Koenig, who is assigned to the Darmstadt family court, signed an order authorizing the immediate seizure of the children by force.

“Citing the parents’ failure to cooperate ‘with the authorities to send the children to school,’ the judge also authorized the use of force ‘against the children’ … reasoning that such force might be required because the children had ‘adopted the parents’ opinions’ regarding homeschooling and that ‘no cooperation could be expected’ from either the parents or the children,” HSLDA said.

Dirk Wunderlich told the homeschool group: “I looked through a side window and saw many people, police and special agents, all armed. They told me they wanted to come in to speak with me. I tried to ask questions, but within seconds, three police officers brought a battering ram and were about to break the door in, so I opened it.”

Join the battle over Germany’s homeschooling ban.

His narration continued: “The police shoved me into a chair and wouldn’t let me even make a phone call at first. It was chaotic as they told me they had an order to take the children. At my slightest movement the agents would grab me, as if I were a terrorist. You would never expect anything like this to happen in our calm, peaceful village. It was like a scene out of a science fiction movie. Our neighbors and children have been traumatized by this invasion.”

11018  Other / Politics & Society / New Snowden Leak Reports ‘Groundbreaking’ NSA Crypto-Cracking on: August 30, 2013, 01:08:11 AM
The latest published leak from NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden lays bare classified details of the U.S. government’s $52.6 billion intelligence budget, and makes the first reference in any of the Snowden documents to a “groundbreaking” U.S. encryption-breaking effort targeted squarely at internet traffic.

Snowden, currently living in Russia under a one-year grant of asylum, passed The Washington Post the 178-page intelligence community budget request for fiscal year 2013. Among the surprises reported by Post writers Barton Gellman and Greg Miller is that the CIA receives more money than the NSA: $14.7 billion for the CIA, versus $10.8 billion for the NSA. Until this morning it’s generally been believed that the geeky NSA, with its basements full of supercomputers, dwarfed its human-oriented counterparts.

The Post published only 43 pages from the document, consisting of charts, tables and a 5-page summary written by Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. The Post said it withheld the rest, and kept some information out of its reporting, in consultation with the Obama administration to protect U.S. intelligence sources and methods.

One of those methods, though, is hinted at in the Clapper summary — and it’s interesting. Clapper briefly notes some programs the intelligence agencies are closing or scaling back, as well as those they’re pouring additional funds into. Overhead imagery captured by spy satellites was slated for reduction, for example, while SIGINT, the electronic spying that’s been the focus of the Snowden leaks, got a fresh infusion.

“Also,” Clapper writes in a line marked “top secret,” “we are investing in groundbreaking cryptanalytic capabilities to defeat adversarial cryptography and exploit internet traffic.”

The Post’s article doesn’t detail the “groundbreaking cryptanalytic capabilities” Clapper mentions, and there’s no elaboration in the portion of the document published by the paper. But the document shows that 21 percent of the intelligence budget — around $11 billion — is dedicated to the Consolidated Cryptologic Program that staffs 35,000 employees in the NSA and the armed forces.

If the NSA created Bitcoin, why did the CIA need Gavin to brief them on what it was?

I don't believe the NSA created bitcoin because they do not care about currency. The CIA might have a need to create it, the way TOR was created by US Navy Research Lab. But then Treasury would be against and so would the federal bank. The thing is, as much as people (not us on bitcointalk) want to believe, government usually do not know what his left foot is doing that would make his right foot go the opposite way. Many Black box projects are so secret that referencing it or even think about them would send you in jail. Look at the reaction from Lavabit. Can't talk about it. So financing a bitcoin black box project would not cost that much compared to a Los Alamos project or keeping all those people fed at Area 51 for all those years.

This could simply be the "virus escaping the lab" type scenario.
