11121  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Virwox Level 3 Account on: December 25, 2015, 05:17:19 PM
how  can we know its not stolen ?

I'm not sure if this is a serious question or not however I will answer you .
Why I would stole a Virwox account ? Email and account information's never got changed so basically if I stole it , I would change them for sure , right ?  If you have a way that let me proof that the account is not stolen then please tell me and I will be more then glad to provide it .
11122  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where to invest my BTC on: December 25, 2015, 05:13:27 PM
Where can I invest BTC? Must be reliable...

Services that claim that they will give you interest when you deposit are simply a lie and a scam , so don't use them .
I personally consider Bitcoin as an investment it self however it's for long term , you can start buying , hold for few years and then finally rise when the price is UP .
You still can start your own Bitcoin project with your bitcoins and try to make profit from it (running a faucet for example or something) .
11123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many developers are working on bitcoin vs alt coins? on: December 25, 2015, 04:28:59 PM
I disagree with those who say that Bitcoin developers are more then "one" altcoin developers , this list is not updated for sure https://bitcoin.org/en/development since Gavin is there and we all know that he left , and those are people who contributed so it can be over the years and they are not actual developers , and as far as I know , there is only five people or something on the Core team ? If it's the case then Stellar for example have more then that .
11124  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Virwox Level 3 Account on: December 25, 2015, 04:24:22 PM
i bid $5

It's not an auction , If you are offering that price then I'm afraid I'm not going to accept , It's just too loow .

PM me your price. . .

I don't have a price , I'm looking for offers as I said above .

11126  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling btc looking for Paypal on: December 23, 2015, 08:15:07 AM
I have 63$ on my Paypal account , I'm not sure how much they will cut as fees when I send to you . Let me know what is your offer ?
11127  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - 2016 on: December 23, 2015, 08:03:54 AM
What do you think will happen? Bitcoin will rise or not? Smiley

I can tell you for sure that the price will rise few weeks before the halving and after the halving block reward as-well (which will be in july) however I can't say much about what's going to happen from January till June and I don't think anyone could tell you.

Do you think it will rise above $450 ? Now it seems to be stuck at $440 for a while.

If you are speaking after the halving then yes definitely It will be above that and It may even reach more then 1200$ according to some experts (you can see my topic on the Speculation section) .

11129  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoins did not arrive at easywallet.org on: December 23, 2015, 07:41:18 AM
I can't seem to understand why people use old and probably outdated wallets that no body use any more , If you had to use an online wallet you had to choose BlockTrail or Blockchain.info .
Try to contact them either here : jeremias.kangas@easywallet.org or post here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=75665.0 or contact the OP on that topic (since he was available few days ago) .
11130  Economy / Speculation / Expect Bitcoin Price to Reach US$1,200 or More Next Year on: December 23, 2015, 07:33:49 AM
See here : http://cointelegraph.com/news/115935/expect-bitcoin-price-to-reach-us1200-or-more-next-year-experts-say and tell me what do you think about what those "experts" said .

Erik Voorhees, CEO Shapeshift :

Quote
“$1,800. Mining supply cut in half, continued growth and use of the platform, financial institutions realizing BitcoinCT r:  2 is the BlockChain, and more people discovering they can save 20% at Starbucks with FoldApp.”

Bobby Lee, CEO BTCC:
Quote
“My estimate is around $2,000. The biggest driver behind price increases will be increased global awareness of Bitcoin. Today, the price of Bitcoin is $1 per capita. My price target for the next year is $5 per capita, which is around $2,000 per Bitcoin. For comparison, the price of Gold is at $1,000 per capita.”

Jeff Berwick, chief editor of The Dollar Vigilante:
Quote
“$1,799. Biggest drivers: bank, currency and economic collapse.”

Andreas Antonopoulos, Bitcoin expert, speaker, entrepreneur:

Quote
“I don't do price speculation. It's astrology for markets and I think it is irresponsible for media companies to do this.”

Vishal Gupta, CEO SearchTrade:

Quote
“Next year post halving I expect 5x price rise, so we could see Bitcoin between $1,500 to $2,000 range by the end of 2016. Mining Rewards halving had 8x impact on price last time around in 2012.”

11131  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum default transaction fee very high on: December 22, 2015, 04:39:14 PM
I personally don't understand how wallets really configure the fees to set them , but 0.0001 (0.04$) BTC should get your transaction confirmed without any issues .
11132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone used to think nothing could come along thats Bigger than the Internet on: December 22, 2015, 04:34:20 PM
and then came Bitcoin

I'm not sure how you can even compare both , it's like comparing Bitcoin to Facebook or something like that .
If we have to compare Bitcoin then we have to compare it with Payment methods or fiat for example and not with the internet , beside .. without an internet connection Bitcoin wouldn't even exist so .. I just don't get it .
11133  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Virwox Level 3 Account on: December 22, 2015, 04:27:53 PM
The account is always available , feel free to P.M me or if you want faster transaction you can give me your ICQ or Skype or whatever makes you comfortable .
11134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheapest price you bought your Bitcoin(s) on: December 22, 2015, 06:33:02 AM
Think back.. to what was the cheapest price you've bought your BTCitcoin(s) for compared to USD.

I never bought a full Bitcoin since most of them are earned from signature campaigns or giving services , however when I bought it was like 300$~ or something like that .
It's nothing compared to the early adopters but well ... I hope I'm not late for the train yet .
11135  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Anyone else getting ignored by Cryptsy? on: December 21, 2015, 01:45:26 PM
It's not just you , the whole world is getting this issue with them and you should be thankful , some people lost money because of them and the couple of billion threads on both scam accusation and service discussion sections can tell you the same thing .
So it's probably the last warning for people ... Withdraw while you can , we don't want Mtgox scenario to come back .
11136  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I need to create an Bitcoin online shop on: December 21, 2015, 01:30:36 PM
Well you can use Wordpress and implant this plugin on it I suppose : https://wordpress.org/plugins/bitcoin-payments-for-woocommerce/ or there is this (paid) but never used so I can't tell what's the different between both of them : http://codecanyon.net/item/bitcoin-for-woocommerce/9085826
11137  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Best advertising platform? on: December 21, 2015, 01:12:58 PM

I'm not even sure what's the difference between running Bitcoin Core itself and running Coinbase.com API or BlockTrail/Blockchain etc ... ?

The difference is they do it vs you do it.  They could have a website / API that returns anything.  Its not in their best interest to do so, but they could get hacked, a software bug etc.

If you stand up you're own infrastructure and report on your own daemon, then you only have to trust yourself, and the build of bitcoin core.

Very curious what do you mean by "trust them to report correct" ? can they report that I received X on the transaction while I received Y ?

They could do what ever they like.  How are you to know that query on address a will give a correct result?  If you believe they're reputable and their systems are working correctly, then fine.

Maybe think about it like this.  You need to report on the weather in your favourite city.  You could call an API like weather.com for the information.  Or you could setup your own monitoring system and report on that.

Make sense , and on the same time It's scary little bit and will make me think more then once before using an API of any website . Well .. thanks for your explanation mate , I hope I will successfully setup everything up .
11140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Accepting Bitcoin using ASP.NET ? on: December 21, 2015, 05:18:11 AM
Do you want to use the Bitcoin core or an api like the one from Coinbase.com?
When the last is the case then it is not a big deal to implement what you require. The api is documented very well.

I'm not even sure what's the difference between running Bitcoin Core itself and running Coinbase.com API or BlockTrail/Blockchain etc ... ?

I'm running a website on ASP.NET C# and it's connected to a MSSQL Database . What I want to do is when people send BTC to an address (I don't really care if the care is the same or keep generating new one each time) , so once they send BTC .. I want to execute a MSSQL Query into my database to give them some sort of points etc ... ? Who think he can help on this task pls

3 ways, in order of ease:

You will have to write a service, worker processor etc to poll the address looking for new transactions.

1.  Use Blockchain.info.  They have a nugget package and good enough for small transactions, but you're trusting them to report correct:
Code:

        public ActionResult Wallet()
        {
            ViewBag.Address = System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["WalletAddress"];

            Info.Blockchain.API.BlockExplorer.BlockExplorer ex = new Info.Blockchain.API.BlockExplorer.BlockExplorer();
            var address = ex.GetAddress(System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["WalletAddress"]);

            Decimal amount = Convert.ToDecimal(address.FinalBalance / 100000000.0M);
            String balance = String.Format("{0:0.######}", amount);
            ViewBag.Balance = balance;

            return View();
        }

2.  Same approach, but poll your own bitcoind instance.  There are a few .net wrappers for bitcoind.
  • Have a server running bitcoind in server mode
  • Set the credentials and configs and firewalls up
  • Use JSON RPC calls (web client will do) to query an address that bitcoind hosts

3.  Roll your own blockchain passer and keep updating it.  There are a few .net ones out there, but too much over kill for a few tx a day.

Hope this helps.

Very curious what do you mean by "trust them to report correct" ? can they report that I received X on the transaction while I received Y ?
