That's what we are talking about:

11122  Other / Meta / Re: "Last edited" on a mobile? Solutions? on: January 09, 2019, 01:52:35 AM
Probably not. AFAIK, there is no way to "hover" the text, which is what you need to do to see it.

My hover on touchscreens, and it seems by default, is to press, hold and swipe slightly so as to not be inferred as a tap but a hover. It’s a bit advanced though.

Doesn’t work every time either, enjoy!
I can't manage to do this on my iPhone (IOS 12).

What is your phone? Android or IOS?

11124  Local / Brasil / Re: Tem como comprar Bitcoin no Debito? on: January 08, 2019, 11:52:42 PM
No caso, teria que ser em um local físico com a maquineta, não? Era mais facil fazer uma transferencia pra alguma exchange e comprar direto de lá (mais facil, rapido e barato).
11125  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum use in AIRGAPPED Computer on: January 08, 2019, 02:43:00 PM
Use a wallet to tie into my trezor BTC and  get a signed transaction (hexadecimal string) for sending BTC to an addy of my choice. ALL OFFLINE
You are missing a step there. It has everything to do with past transactions. How can you create the transaction if your wallet doesn't have an internet connection to get your inputs necessary for the raw transaction? You need to build the transaction from a connected device OR have the inputs info already set previously in the wallet software. Otherwise, it's like telling your Electrum wallet to guess the blockchain and which amount of coins you own.

Then carry that HEX STRING with me in an email and when ready to SPEND or BROADCAST it I can, without carrying the BTC on my cell phone hot wallet, example Mycellium.
You can (and should) do that online. Just use the "Preview" button. There is no need to use a Trezor hardware wallet offline.
11126  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum support question... pending transaction (long time) on: January 08, 2019, 01:27:38 AM
yes ok - thanks.  Is there a way to open the new version without it trying to open the existing wallets?  It keeps coming up saying they are unable to be upgraded then just exits out of the software.
Only if you have the backup seed of those wallets: Go to the %appdata%\Electrum\wallets folder and delete the wallet files (or even better, move them to another folder - like your Desktop).
11127  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum support question... pending transaction (long time) on: January 08, 2019, 01:19:51 AM
I have the seed given when I first opened the account - would that be the one to use?
Yes.

And would that be restoring the wallet in the new version?
You can use the seed whenever you want to restore your wallet (regardless of the version). Since your wallet isn't (somehow) working, you can try restoring it while in the new version.

P.S: NEVER LOSE THIS BACKUP SEED! Without it, you can't restore your wallet if anything happens with it.

Do you have your backup seed? If so, you could just restore your wallet.
11129  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum support question... pending transaction (long time) on: January 08, 2019, 12:31:19 AM
Am I on an older version (2.5.4) and should I just keep working through the server list?
Damnn, you are almost 4 years outdated. Do like HCP said and update to the latest version.

I'm pretty sure this will fix it.
11130  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum support question... pending transaction (long time) on: January 07, 2019, 11:57:53 PM
I've tried changing to another server from the list but the button in the bottom RH corner stays red.  Any other tips on that?
Go to Tools -> Network. Find the server with the highest "Height" (from the list on the "Overview" tab and select it. Try changing from server to server (from the ones with highest "Height" until your wallet synchronizes).

If it doesn't work, try what I said above: Or going to %appdata%/Electrum folder and deleting the blockchain_headers file.
11131  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum support question... pending transaction (long time) on: January 07, 2019, 11:36:22 PM
Is your Electrum wallet synchronized? (is there is a green dot at the bottom-right corner of the wallet?)

Try changing your Electrum server. Or going to %appdata%/Electrum folder and deleting the blockchain_headers file.
11132  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Want to purchase us gift cards on: January 07, 2019, 10:59:03 PM
What kind of gift cards do you want? Any specific service in mind?
11133  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discord Nitro with Bitcoin on: January 07, 2019, 09:02:30 PM
Haven't they just introduced Discord Nitro gifting?
But you can't buy/gift it with Bitcoin. Only Paypal and Credit Card.

Edit:
Edit: @TryNinja I am aware of that. My point is that gifting has just been introduced and Bitrefill didn't have much time to introduce it.
Got it. That makes sense.

BTW, I just maxed my credit cards. Otherwise, I could buy it for you (OP).
11134  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano X - new mobile focused hardware wallet on: January 07, 2019, 08:44:18 PM
Are sure about that? I am quite sure that I managed to get it to work by simply using USB to micro-usb converter provided by Samsung with the original cable. The same goes for Trezor. It works perfectly fine.
That's correct. I've tried once and it worked with the OTG cable that came with my old phone (a Samsung Galaxy S8+).

There is no difference between the OTG cable sold by Ledger and any regular one.
11135  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano X - new mobile focused hardware wallet on: January 07, 2019, 01:25:46 PM
Android users will be able to use the On-The-Go cable kit to connect their Ledger Nano S or Ledger Blue to their smartphone. This functionality will later be added as a software update to the Ledger Live mobile app. iPhone users are out of luck due to restrictions of the iPhone's Lightning port.
RIP. I've just got a new iPhone.

I was kinda excited to use it in my mobile app (just to check it out, cuz it looks dope). Maybe I get a Nano X in the future because of the Bluetooth or just buy an old Android phone to play around with it.
11136  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano X - new mobile focused hardware wallet on: January 07, 2019, 03:07:02 AM
https://www.coindesk.com/ledger-crypto-wallet-goes-mobile-with-bluetooth-ready-nano-x

This hasn't had a full launch yet but here are some details - mobile focused with Bluetooth, space for 100 coins, larger screen, price drop for the nano s.

What's the opinion on Bluetooth for this? Will you be tempted to upgrade?
I only store BTC and a few coins (sometimes) in my Nano S. So, it's probably going to be a no for me.

All I want to know is if this mobile app is going to be exclusive for the new device or if that's the new app that they promised back when they were developing the Ledger Live dashboard (and if it's going to work with the Ledger Nano S).

Yes, a change from alia_armelle to alia is a minor change which I would normally do for anyone who can convince me to spend time on it. (If I recognize your username, I'm much more likely to handle your requests. I'm also much more likely to look into your scam accusations...)

I never accept payment for this sort of thing.
11138  Economy / Reputation / Re: A moderator has given me a red trust accusing me of something that I am not. on: January 06, 2019, 10:58:02 PM
Glad that theymos decided to change your username. Smiley

Now, let's see if gmaxwell is willing to change the negative trust.

Edit: Looks like the negative trust was removed!

Are people still having luck with this mixer?  I sent $40 worth of BTC to it on Monday and it has yet to acknowledge or send my BTC to the address I gave it.  Also, the mixer ID now shows invalid when I try to check status (it showed valid but waiting for deposits before that).

I should note that I did attempt to contact their support by both methods (email and jabber) and have gotten no response.
When was the last time you contact them? Looks like they haven't logged on BitcoinTalk since 13 December 2018.

If it's been some time and it's starting to look like a scam, create a thread with all the evidence in the Scam Accusations board.
11140  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Bitcoin QR code maker on: January 06, 2019, 12:28:43 AM
Should we report such threads?
I think so. It's an obvious fake website after all.
