11141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH will have forking soon, PoS and you know where the price shall go :) on: August 25, 2017, 06:25:42 AM
There is one coin that went POW to POS and didn't die? There is a valuable POS coin in the world?

I don't like ETH but I guess what investors and buyers really like about it is its certainty in the sense of direction. With Bitcoin you have consensus problems but with ETH you just have a few leaders who get together and decide. DAO hack? Hard fork done. PoS, sure, let's do it. And I am not sure about price increase after POS... it is not exactly a good news is it?
11142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin ATM to buy Altcoins? on: August 24, 2017, 06:46:22 AM
The answer is no. There are only Bitcoin ATMs, where you can buy Bitcoins for cash (insert cash or card and you receive Bitcoins). There are also 2-way ATMs that let you pay Bitcoins to get cash out. That's why they're called Bitcoin ATMs. Although even this term is wrong, because it is not an automated teller, just an exchanger that looks like ATMs Smiley
11143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GBYTE Coin for trading!! on: August 24, 2017, 06:34:09 AM
The current collapse in the price of GB was associated with the uneven distribution of coins. Now when the spread changes, I think the coin again will cost$ 1000 Wink

It didn't actually collapse if you take into account that all alts had a surge in price in spring. It's actually back to its normal pre surge value. But yes, the sudden spike of double distribution for holders attracted speculators. But it will recover and continue to grow after it is 100% distributed.

Also, it will soon have partnerships for 10% cashback with merchants. Good discounts!
11144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BRO] [WEBRADIO] 😍 BITRAD.IO 😍 - ICO LIVE - Stream diffrent - Webradio on: August 23, 2017, 07:16:49 PM
Do you plan in recent time to do another ico sell on the website? I browse your website often but there is no way I can buy bro?

ICO was announced for the end of the month. Also, you can buy coins from Cryptopia exchange. Soon will probably be listed on Nova.

Good news. I have a question for bitrandio representatives and I send the coins to the cryptоdo exchange and they have not been credited to the balance sheet, and the stock exchange is scammed as to me to return the coins 17.2 bro transaction https://chainz.cryptoid.info/bro/tx.dws?daf340f225a5f4b09d69f9cc5c2aae11c60199cce30069e1b9456cca44f99015.htm

There is a known issue for the exchange wallet, and this is nothing that BRO dev can help you with because the network itself is fine. You just have to work it out with the exchange. Perhaps if you speak up on the official BRO forum, you can ask the devs to try and contact the exchanger to solve their technical problems?
11145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This time next year Waves will be trading at $250 on: August 23, 2017, 07:01:46 PM
The burger king news is big:

Quote
Burger King Russia issued a token on Waves Platform. Whoppercoin is named after Whopper, the signature sandwich introduced in 1957. A billion Whoppercoins have been issued, while Burger King mentioned the possibility of reissuing the token. Whoppercoin is sent to user’s wallet in exchange for a scanned copy of the receipt. Buy one Whopper gives you a Whoppercoin.
http://wavescommunity.com/burger-king-russia-issued-a-token-on-waves/

Using waves token to buy a physical asset rather than trading for bitcoins is a major step forward for the crypto world. Good time to buy waves  Wink

Russia and China are too big to ignore. They may have a small presence now, but it is already significant as the super rich are in on it. But once say even 5% of the population from the middle class take up Bitcoin, their economies combined will make a huge splash. They may not yet use WAVES once they get out from under the rock so it IS still too early to tell.
11146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple (XRP) rising? on: August 23, 2017, 06:07:21 AM
I dont know why, but maybe its because of too much demand, like it happens with any other altcoin that is on top 15.
Buy you all people know how ripple works, it goes up, and then goes downx2, so its riskie, but i dont think it can have a nice future.
It is a good coin for speculation if you wanna have big amounts of ripple, just buy 10000, wait until it rises for 1 cent, and you made a profit of $100 easy.

Do you really think top 15 alts are expensive because there is too much demand? Ripple is like ETH, false demand and lot of early whales.
Anyway, I had to laugh at the last statement. If you wanna have big amounts just buy 1 Bitcoin and wait for it to go up $100, you also make a profit of $100 easy.
11147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you had 1000$ to invest in Altcoins long term, which one would you choose? on: August 22, 2017, 08:25:34 PM
My choice will be ETH. In long-run it will have the most value with ICOs power.
BCH is too volatile for my taste. With 300% difficult increasing in hours, price will do a ping-pong again.
NEO is already pumped for buying right now.
LTC is 'old' coin by my understandings.

Actually, my choices more or less are using the same reasons as these, but for opposite leanings, except not BCH because it is a incidental alt with no real uniqueness from Bitcoin.

Not ETH because it already has too much problems and inflated use with non-practical ICOs.
Maybe NEO because it is the lowest priced (I will have more coins with $1000) and still has lots of room.
Definitely LTC because it is OLD and won't lose fizz if it goes up. It is the second coming of Bitcoin to me Smiley If BTC is 1 million, LTC will still be 10k.
11148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This time next year Waves will be trading at $250 on: August 22, 2017, 08:20:46 PM
It's backed by Titov and Putin, aiming for mass-market adoption, easy for newbies (much easier than Ether), being used by Burger King, hired PR Director with serious experience (Edelman), smart contracts by Christmas ...

Most people in the crypto world judge currencies, tokens, and platforms by technical merit. That is not the most important factor in going mainstream.

I've been watching WAVES only recently, patiently waiting for it to drop just below $4 before buying in. What I find strange is that even with all these big names associated, there is hardly any movement in WAVES price except slowly going down since the past few weeks. It's been a bad month for alts anyway after Bitcoin fork so I still expect it to go down some more. Definitely seems like a big mover, but not until next year.
11149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BRO] [WEBRADIO] 😍 BITRAD.IO 😍 - ICO LIVE - Stream diffrent - Webradio on: August 22, 2017, 07:06:08 PM
Yeah looking at my deposit history I've had a lot of transactions that have never confirmed. I deposit them directly to my Cryptopia address (which i shouldn't do) but with all the problems i would think its better to deposit smaller amounts than bigger amounts from my wallet. I'm not sure if this problem is on Cryptopia's end or not. Anyway hope it gets fixed soon as i'm actually liking the Bitradio project Wink

I strongly believe this is a problem with Cryptopia's wallet. On my wallet, all transactions have been confirmed, with last week's reaching several hundred confirmations. Also I don't see this issue raised on the site's forum. It's a shame because we already are listed on this exchange and seem to have trouble reaching listing on others. But apart from listing issue, the project itself is doing as well as it always has.
11150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] UltrON Miner Systems - Honest Сloud Mining on: August 22, 2017, 06:38:12 AM
How can you ensure your honesty as a cloud mining site, especially when they have been so many "honest" ones who anyway cannot make ROT for their users? Genesis for example. It is honest but so many people lost money when their contracts expire. Your post looks good for now, but I guess you need trust before anyone will join you.

At worst case scenario, we still have to wait 105 days for ROI. Anyone want to take the chance?
11151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are russians involved in so many coins? on: August 22, 2017, 06:14:11 AM
Russians have been forced to learn and defend themselves the way they know. Spoetnik is correct also, even if politically incorrect Smiley But my experience is that aside from many Russian scammers and hackers, also a lot from East Europe and America. But Americans a lot of talk and usually copying the elite Russians. Chinese are plenty too but not as loud and they don't show off so nobody realises.
11152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do all blockchains use proof of work? on: August 21, 2017, 04:14:08 PM
First time poster here. I've been noticing so many projects using blockchains, but I don't understand how is proof of work applicable to most applications. Do they all use it? Is it necessary?

Edit: What do you call this category for proof of X?

Since nobody has answered your edit, this "category" you are looking for is called a "consensus algorithm", specifically when used to describe the system used in cryptocurrency blockchains to reach consensus. Proof of work is the most popular but you can see many new concepts coming up nowadays like proof-of-human and proof-of-time even.
11153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ico help neede and understad in detail on: August 21, 2017, 04:04:46 PM
The simple answer to your question is YES, you can. But the correct answer should be: does your idea really need an ICO? Do you have the ideas clearly specified, do you have a business plan in place and do you have an idea of how crypto or the blockchain will help this idea or do you just want to use the anonymous features of ICO. It sounds to me just that you want to raise money for a business, and use a token to raise money.

Check out the SERVICES section under Bitcoin discussion. You will see a few people promoting ICO startup services.
11154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 30 Seconds to Win 1 ETH on: August 21, 2017, 09:07:14 AM
Oh, looks like this is over and great news for the participating winners. Good to see the posters shut all the nonsense up about escrow too, really hate when everyone thinks escrow is necessary for everything, even when no one is risking anything. By the way,,, don't forget to share the results of the research with everyone! I left my email so hope to see it drop into my inbox soon.
11155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🔥 BITCOlN CASH JUST MINED FIRST EVER 8MB BLOCK!!!! 🔥 on: August 21, 2017, 08:56:26 AM
I think it's a little strange when you look at the blocks of bitcoin cash at the moment.
You have one new block about every minute at the moment. That is ten times what it is supposed to be I think.
And that means as well that many new coins are getting into the market.
I would expect those coins to create a mass of transactions, but they do not.
At the moment one block is filled with about 20kb.
To me it looks like the only group who profits right now are the miners.

This is not at all a big surprise. Who on earth is using Bitcoin Cash besides the miners, traders and the few who have money invested in it? Are people waiting to trade Bitcoin cash out to pay their bills? Is someone buying stuff on Amazon with it? Are gamblers and casinos moving big chunks of it around as normal operations. No, no, no.

Makes it no different from an alt in that respect. Remember, there are millions of tx that involve moving out BCH to sell. Those are not done yet.
11156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PoW/PoS180%] AltCommunityCoin [Blake2S][Bounties] - We Decide The Future! on: August 20, 2017, 07:17:16 PM
Normally I join all the airdrops I can find but I will wait to watch this one and participate later, as there are 10 rounds! The no supply cap does concern me, especially when there is no clear way for community to decide this. Shouldn't at least a temporary cap or plan be installed? Developers need to lay out a clear path, and then ask the community to decide on the final things.
11157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should i Buy DGB NoW ?? on: August 20, 2017, 09:34:12 AM
Should i trust or buy DBG NOW to make some good profit ?
Any one got news about DGB HuhHuhHuh

There is a very slow movement of DGB. The team and the project are all great and have a bright future but the coin remains stagnant, but it does not mean that this Digibyte coin is pure shitcoin. It has some use. You can actually invest in some right now as it is still very cheap. But expect the price to take even 1st quarter of 2018 to rise.

If you're really desperate for news about DigiByte, you only have to look at Google. Or Reddit! I would stay away from this coin... it was one of those projects that name dropped like hell, building all this empty hype about big names and big games. And of course, people like me fell for it.

Refer to https://web.archive.org/web/20160820152102/https://invesd.org/interview-5-digibyte/

Ask yourself which of this was realised. If you can even show 25% things were achieved, then yes, maybe there's hope.
11158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SpicaCoin⭐⭐Coin of Smart Traders⭐⭐Big Reward from Series of Polls and Airdrops⭐⭐ on: August 20, 2017, 09:25:36 AM
We can be of assistance regarding voting as there are exchanges that allow free votes like Nova and Tradesatoshi. But someone need to add spica coin first. Also, I can see now your purpose of why you created this coin, but, the challenge here is that, find strategies on how the community will have the enthusiasm to participate in each poll.

And also, do you have results for poll no. 3? If yes, did you already send the rewards to the participants & who's the winner for that? Thanks.

I hope I will be one of those lucky ones in the future... Grin

I have participated in a lot of coins that tried to use the free vote listing of Nova and TradeSatoshi - some successful and some not. I would not say listing on those places are a guarantee of coin longevity since some have also dropped out after being listed early on.

I am more wary now of wasting time with new coins. Even if I don't spend much money, the time is a pain. That said, looks like a decent coin to follow for now.
11159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dissapointment in WAVES & QTUM? on: August 19, 2017, 05:34:52 PM
Both are already "in profit" so you should expect the ups and downs. Remember when Bitcoin "dumped" to $300 after the >$1000 ATH? It took years to recover back the "profits" and now we forgot about that.

Waves is encouraging more decentralised exchanges. We have to support this. The more the better.
11160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Golem vs SONM vs iexec on: August 19, 2017, 09:05:32 AM
XEL Elastic is the best choice

abandoned coin that is not even cheap anymore and developed by part timers and volunteers is the best choice ? Roll Eyes

Abandoned = wrong. This is pure ignorance and misinformation. But maybe this is the difference also with XEL supporters?
Not cheap anymore? = Cheapness means good coin? What are we discussing here? How cheap a coin is or how good a coin is? I may have been misinformed.
Developed by part timers and volunteers = Oh no, we better abandon Bitcoin because it has a lot of part timers and volunteers.
