11161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying for citizenship using Bitcoins! on: October 11, 2017, 08:08:31 PM
Never heard of that island-country.   Is the weather nice?  Is it hurricane bait?  Are there a bunch of dirty thieves there who'll jack your wallet soon as you step off the plane?

I'd hate to get there and be ambushed by a bunch of Mexicans or something.   These islands definitely don't like ugly Americans.  lol
11162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the Philippines uproar on: October 11, 2017, 01:56:53 AM
There is no denying that the future of bitcoins in the Philippines will flourish since we adopt the "Open Market" mentality.  Everything that shows profitability, surely Filipino will venture into it.  This poverty-stricken country will do everything especially the people under poverty threshold to venture into such profit oriented forum.  I have a friend who is now a Member of this forum who ever since was not accepted into signature campaigns because of poor communication skills. I am a Junior member, you see but I have already claimed my first .000 bitcoin yesterday.  It is a testament that if you do good in this forum, earnings will be a great augmentation to your monthly salary so to speak. But it should not only be that way, we should strive more to be considered big players in the market now. Contributing to the substantial thread/topic is a way to go.

It is sad to hear that mostly Filipinos will venture to Bitcoin just because it is profitable but not looking on how good the technology is. they must also be open to the fact that earning bitcoin requires great effort and great time management.
Uhh, why else would anyone buy bitcoin?  Answer: To make money, AKA being profitable.   It's not sad, it's the only reason anyone would ever be into bitcoin.  Nobody wants to spend it--they want to get rich(er).  The problem with the Philippines is that they're ignorant and just come here to spout nonsense.  They should stick to the local boards.
Philippines and Filipinos are two different things Sir, and don't generalize us Filipinos on other Filipinos that are here for just nonsense things. again, I said that mostly Filipinos will venture to bitcoin because they want to get rich/er . and it is sad on my part that they seeing bitcoin as the only way t escape poverty.
Please educate me about the difference.  I'm not a worldly man, and I know I'm making a huge, sweeping, blanket statement, but I'm only going by what I see on bitcointalk.

11164  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Don't doubt the power of Faucets! on: October 10, 2017, 08:41:14 PM
Faucets are a huge waste of time--but only at today's prices.  If you'd claimed from them back in 2010 and kept everything, you'd be pretty well off.  Same goes for now.  If bitcoin goes up to $1 million in 5 years, you'd be looked upon as a very smart, savvy faucet-claimer.  So you just never know.

OP, I don't know about your system.  Maybe it'll work for you.  Me, I claim from moonbit and moondoge and that's more than enough time spent on them.
11165  Other / Meta / Re: hilariousandco is contradicting himself ? on: October 10, 2017, 08:19:09 PM
Hilariousandco is doing an awesome job with this.  Kiss your posts and activity goodbye if you shitpost.  Mprep also is doing a good job with the altcoin section, which is chronically a mess.

As has been stated, people are human and work at a human speed.  Just because something doesn't get deleted immediately doesn't mean it shouldn't ever, nor does it mean you're safe to post in mega spam threads.
11166  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy Account on: October 10, 2017, 06:06:13 PM
Jesus, where have you been all this time?  How much did you have on there?

Check out the most recent cryptsy thread in scam accusations, you might be able to get some information there--but I highly doubt you'll be able to reclaim anything.   I stopped following that thread, but I think everyone who had crypto on cryptsy is screwed.  Hopefully you learned not to keep money on exchanges.
11167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people left their full-time employment to go into Bitcoin? on: October 09, 2017, 11:43:18 PM
Hell no, I didn't quit my job to enter the extremely risky, spiritually unrewarding field of shitcoin/bitcoin trading and/or signature campaign spamming.

LOL

I wouldn't quit my day job.  I actually get to help people by doing what I'm doing, and it's not all about the money.  Bitcoin is a hobby for me at best, and most of the bitcoin I've bought in the last two years I've been in it has been earned through my job.  The signature campaign thing is just a byproduct of being a member of bitcointalk.  There's no way in hell I'd try to be a trader, not when you can lose 95% or more in your position within minutes.  I don't have the stomach or the testicles for that, and sig campaigns don't pay enough to live on anyway--at least not in the US.
11168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay rent with bitcoin? aka btc to bank account. Is there a service? on: October 09, 2017, 11:30:01 PM
Hi BTCQueen,

I am a private investor here in the US, I am not quite sure where you're located but I am focusing in Florida. I have a number of properties here and a few more in Arizona. I'm offering Owner Finance/ Lease Option or even straight purchase using Bitcoin and Etherium. No cashing out or BTC-to-bank, just wallet to wallet will do. Let me know if you're interested, would be happy to help.
Yeah, OK buddy.  What you are is just a noob making claims, and you could be anybody.

I don't know of any way to pay rent using bitcoin in the US, unless the landlord knows about and would be willing to accept it.  Mine certainly doesn't.  Sounds like the Philippines, for all its other problems, has got its act together as far as crypto goes.   We really need something like that in the states.  Then again, I'm not sure if I'd want to spend bitcoin when I could just as easily pay rent in fiat--but I'd be open to the idea.
11169  Other / Meta / Re: How to get activity? on: October 09, 2017, 10:50:24 PM
Why do you want activity if you don't even know what it is or does?
If I report this thread as being useless, will you delete it?

Seriously, there are always at least 2-3 active threads on the first page of meta dealing with this very issue.  It might be difficult for scrambled brains to understand, but it's not hard to find an answer.   And given enough time and posting, you can figure it out pretty quickly.

"total time logged in".. does it count in this calculation?
No, it does not, sir.
11170  Other / Meta / Re: It sucks being a Newbie on: October 09, 2017, 05:54:13 PM
Thanks for the replies. I'm sure spam could be a problem here...

Too bad there's no fast track to membership, but I guess that would defeat the purpose of having Newbies at all.

Yes it would, and the forum would be even more of a mess than it is, believe me.

Do more reading and less posting for now, and you'll be done with the noob restrictions in no time.  Your English is pretty good, which is a huge plus and the sole reason you're not getting flamed to death here.

my previous post were all shit.
Well then WTF are you asking the question for?

Wondering why he is accepted? And im denied. Obviously that his post count is parallel with his activity.
Thankyou for answering this question.
Probably because you're a Filipino shitposter and all your posts reflect this.  Canned answers to stupid questions, which makes up a good portion of bitcointalk material.   Get used to rejection unless your post quality magically improves.

Quantity doesn't equal quality.
11173  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just going to $100,000 now? on: October 08, 2017, 10:24:07 PM
Strangely enough, I've had similar dreams about bitcoin--then I wake up and we're still at $4400 or whatever.
Bitcoin is probably going to get there eventually, but it'll happen when I own absolutely no bitcoin whatsoever, and I will not have predicted it in a dream--knowing my luck.  And we're still way far away from that right now.  Maybe in 10 years if something better doesn't come along.
11174  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FUCKING COINBASE on: October 08, 2017, 07:22:09 PM
I can see you're angry because you were not able to use your funds but maybe they do that to keep your currency safe? Its a extra step from their side to make sure no one else is trying to get into your account, although IMO it should have been optional feature so only users who want it active can keep it and others can use instant password reset.
Yeah, but that's a pretty long delay, and I can understand the frustration.  That would drive me batty--but only if I still had a coinbase account.   They nuked me a couple years ago, though it was pretty much my fault.

They do need to get their shit together, but they're still one of the most reputable exchanges around.  Don't know why they feel the need to delay that email verification thing.  Most other businesses send those within minutes.
11175  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Patience and Holding on: October 08, 2017, 06:12:19 PM
Ugh. I've lost so much potential profit by not being patient and not believing in bitcoin--but I don't dwell on it, since none of us knows what the future holds.   And that's the main reason why I don't trade altcoins.  The market volatility is insane, and I don't have the stomach to be patient in a market where you could potentially lose literally everything in an instant.

Once I get my debt settled, I'll be buying some bitcoin to hold on to.  But no altcoins for me.
11176  Other / Meta / Re: ACCOUNT 'TRIPLE' Hacked - Recovering on: October 08, 2017, 05:28:41 PM
Wait, so did I do a deal with you or a hacker back in July?  I didn't get a PayPal chargeback, so I assume it was you--the real owner, and I'll have to check the address I received the funds from.

I'll give the account a negative until this is resolved, leaving the positive I left in July in place.

This forum and the hackers drive me nuts.

Edit: whew.  Let me know when you get your account back, I'll remove the feedback.
11177  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: October 08, 2017, 04:38:21 AM
Retract your "trolling for crypto" offer in the other thread you started,  and you'll probably be an entertaining member of bitcointalk--assuming you don't get banned first and that you're not somebody's alt.

Interesting observation about the starving to death thing.  So true.  That's part of the whole "money is the root of all evil" philosophy.

You're not looking for a handout, are you?  You can go starve with the rest of them.
11178  Economy / Goods / Re: MAY THE COIN BE WITH YOU! New T-shirt design on: October 08, 2017, 01:42:49 AM
I'm not buying one, as I'm not a fan of t-shirts that have wording or designs on them, but that's a nice design.  It would be even better if the BTC symbol was more prominent, but it's not bad.  Props for making bitcoin apparel.  I'd be more in the market for a bitcoin baseball cap or something of that nature.

Stickers, stuck to McDonald's drive-through windows would be excellent.  That would do more to expose the great unwashed masses than any t-shirt could.  lol
11179  Economy / Economics / Re: Pissed of by eBay: I want to choose by myself which currency to accept on: October 07, 2017, 06:31:44 PM
Crypto is simply still too insignificant to be recognized as a form of payment by the vast majority of business/organizations. This might change in a few years but for now you gotta switch between crypto and fiat yourself. Personally I have to pay all of my bills and products with traditional money too but I don't mind it that much. Utility of crypto is still virtually non-existent worldwide at the moment.
This is true.  I've sold stuff on eBay and have offered to accept bitcoin.  Know how many people took me up on that?  Zero.  People don't want to spend bitcoin, if they even know about it. There's no need to rage against eBay for this, and buyers don't have to pay with PayPal exclusively.   Also, it's their site, not yours or mine.  You don't have to use it if you don't want to.
11180  Economy / Economics / Re: Dogecoin Petition for Amazon on: October 07, 2017, 04:44:18 PM
Wow, nice news. If doge coin is accepted at amazon is open the way for being accepted of crypto currencies in the world. Soon or later , Etherum will be the same. I'm gonna buy more doge and ETH for now. Thanks for your information sir.
It's not news, dude.  Amazon doesn't accept any crypto, nor will they anytime soon.   Especially not doge.  If they were to start taking any coin, it'd be bitcoin.  So no need to rush out to buy doge or anything else.

I'd be happy to spend doge at Amazon, and it sure would be nice if they did end up taking it.  I don't think online petitions are effective for anything, though.   I'll keep my fingers crossed but I won't get my hopes up.
