You need to post a lot. But apparently make sure to stay on topic and give complete and full answers, if not the mod will be on you. (shots fired)

Hello
I am new to bitcointalk and wondering how to get activity? and what does it do?
You get activity points by posting on forum and with time. Every two weeks you can get max 14 points - to get them in this two weeks you have to write min 14 posts.

Activity increase every 14 days by reviewing your post counts and active logins. Minimum of these two is picked up. in short if you keep on constructive posting regularly then your rank will go high. The official answer is kind of like :
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Hello

You need to be as active as the name suggests, to write a lot, to help and out of here you will just receive the rank increase. Just be active, that's all.

The activity number is determined in this way: time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration activity = min(time * 14, posts)
Activity is updated every 30 minutes.

Hello
I am new to bitcointalk and wondering how to get activity? and what does it do?
You get 1 activity for each post with a maximum of 14 activity points in a 2 week activity period. If you do more than 14 posts in that period, the extra posts can count toward activity in another period that you are active. Basically, you have the potential of 14 activity points every 2 weeks. But you have to be active in a period to get any points. This is why is takes so long for activity to increase.

Hello

As long as you stay active and posting at the threads here you can get an activity. But strictly make sure that all your post and reply are within the topic or else the moderator will be on to you. There's also a computation regarding the Time and Activity. Ranking also is one of the big factor for the activity.

Activity points are counted every two weeks. If you wrote 100 posts in your first two weeks of being user of this forum you will get 14 points of activity at the end of this two weeks. In the moment when the activity points after this first two weeks will be given to your account is starting next two weeks.. And now - if in this next two weeks you will write nothing - you will not get activity points. If you write at least 1 post you will get 14 activity points - just because before you write more than 14 posts (100 posts - so your posts count is right now 101). In other words - to get activity points you have to write at least 1 post in two weeks.

I have a question.. there is also a "total time logged in".. does it count in this calculation? I mean if I just read but don't want to write for now.. it should count like an improvement from the newbie status.

If I report this thread as being useless, will you delete it? Seriously, there are always at least 2-3 active threads on the first page of meta dealing with this very issue. It might be difficult for scrambled brains to understand, but it's not hard to find an answer. And given enough time and posting, you can figure it out pretty quickly. "total time logged in".. does it count in this calculation?
No, it does not, sir.

As said above, you just make sure to stay active in the forum, reply on posts and make awesome threads Activity also gives you more profile things (for example bigger signatures, avatars, etc.)
