11181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DDF - Digital Developers Fund: Profit From Digital Assets on: July 03, 2017, 06:09:25 PM
Digital Assets

Domain names and crypto currencies have high barriers to entry and risks due to lack of regulations, technical hurdles and lack of investment instruments.

Can you please elaborate more on this?

I've been in the website flippening before and I don't see any barriers along the way. I just buy a attracted domain names and sell for more. But I'm not sure that barriers they are facing. Thanks.

11183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao VS Horn (Boxing) on: June 29, 2017, 10:31:07 PM
I saw some footage of Horn doing a public workout. This kid looks good and nice. And even taking pictures of some of his fans. However, even Australians are picking Pacquiao to win the fight because they believe that Horn is still young and not yet in the level of Manny. I still will go to Manny to win.
11184  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: btc crossing 3,000 $ today ? on: June 29, 2017, 09:34:13 PM
Currently the price is pretty low, a perfect time to buy if you're planning short-term trading.

The price should bounce back to $2800 very soon. But I'm not seeing $3000 anytime soon.
Currently it is still around $2500 USD.People are making false news against bitcoin it is going down on 1 August which is 100% false news. But I am pretty sure and seeing that bitcoin will touch easily $3000 USD in this month or in the next. Now for bitcoin it is very challenging competition.

Yes, the uncertainty on Aug 1 really putting a lot of fear on a lot of investors. That is why we have been seeing a price correction like every week and will likely continue until the said date. But I'm not worry though, $3000 will be hit in the coming months.
11185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather Vs McGregor: Info and prediction thread on: June 29, 2017, 08:40:54 PM
Conor brought in Manny Pacquiao's sparring partner Dashon Johnson to prepare him for the Floyd fight.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/3890583/conor-mcgregor-vs-floyd-mayweather-dashon-johnson/

People underestimate Conor and what he's capable of. If Floyd makes that mistake he could regret it.

Wow. Connor Mcgregor is really taking this seriously guys. I think its all for the money and glory. He is making this fight very competitive eventhough this is a boxing match and give Floyd alot of disadvantage. I will follow every news about this fight before making a bet. But by the looks of it, I give Connor a chance to beat Floyd.
11186  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-06-29]Is the New Ransomware Demanding Bitcoin More Dangerous Than WannaCry on: June 29, 2017, 07:30:40 PM
Is the New Ransomware Demanding Bitcoin More Dangerous Than WannaCry?

Last months the ransomware software Wanna Cry attacked 200,000 victims in at least 150 countries worldwide and a huge fuss was made of the capability of hackers to use Bitcoin in illegal actions. Now, a new ransomware comes on stage.

A new virus-encryptor began its attacks on Tuesday in Ukraine. The virus blocks computers and demands a ransom of $300 in Bitcoins like WannaCry did. According to reports, by Wednesday the Bitcoin wallet, which was given by ransomware for the transfer of funds, had received nine transfers.

11187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will Viacoin price be when Segwit support announced? on: June 29, 2017, 06:46:00 PM
36 hours tops and it will be public.

Hope you are right!

Yeah. I hope you sir are correct. I'm joining the bandwagon just now. I believed that the price can get to ATH when Segwit support is announced. Because I'm been observing and watching this coin for a while and its seems that its a correct decision to invest on it. The countdown begins..
11188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof that Crime isn't Why they Hate Bitcoin. on: June 29, 2017, 06:25:07 PM
Actually, bitcoin isn't best asset, currency or commodity to be used as crime tool because bitcoin nature is pseudonymous where anyone can track your bitcoin movement as long as they know your bitcoin addresses, unless you use trusted bitcoin mixer. Furthermore, government could compare bitcoin movement/addresses with regulated bitcoin services and know the owner of the bitcoin.
Those people who critic bitcoin either don't know how bitcoin works, hates bitcoin or both of them.

Exactly. they thought they can get away with crimes using bitcoin. But they don't know that bitcoin is pseudo anonymous. And it a government agency wants to track you it will be easy because its like following a paper trail. So you can't get away with it. You will see a lot of news people being tracked by their bitcoin address.
11189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I suddenly decided to leave gambling alone. on: June 29, 2017, 12:46:50 PM
I've had good moments and bad moments in my life, but the worst moments is when I spent the entire day gambling and focusing only to winning money for this or that.
I'm tired, seriously, to win big and then fall in more deep "debt" because of greediness. I can't afford to have such experiences anymore, it makes me sad the fact that instead of saving those money I preferred to spend them on a gambling site, I was like oh ok it's just x, so If i can lose it it's ok, oh it's just a faucet, it's ok if I lose it. But when If even with the faucet I reach like 0.06 or more, and then I lose them it's still a touch to the heart, that makes you say if I start back with this amount I can magically make it 0.6, yes probably, cause I did that in the past, as my far record is been from 0.001 to 1.6 btc in 3 hours with roulette, but let's not dig that.

I prefer spending the money on what are my necessities now, than see my wallet drop in amount. Every single f*** time, every time I had the chance to buy btc, or doge whatever, I ended up expecting to win big.
EVEN if I win big, I repeat that, I waste the money afterward, because I think it's a good idea to bet bigger now if my budget supports it, and there it goes down the hole.

Why I decided to leave gambling anyway? I saw how rapidly I was going down in the past few days, and like an hot potato to keep sinking my butt on the wallet. I'm tired of that. I better move my butt and find something that used to keep me busy, like programming, I love programming. But then I got stressed and I started to gamble.

I hope you all understand. All my friends I made in these years on the gambling sites, thank you everyone for your support of my strong decision.
Thanks everyone.

Most gamblers do this same mistake and that's because they don't think they were just once lucky, but they think they know now how to win with gambling every time they play. You've made the right decision, just stick to it no matter what others say.

I respect your decision to quit and I hope many on this forum in similar situations would look for a better way out and learn from you and this thread

I respect the OP's decision to quit too. Hopefully he will stand by his word, because many gambling addicts just say the words but never actually quit. I really wish OP had serious intentions when he was writing his post and I wish he will have strength to abstain from gambling in the future.

i hope so like you because to quit from gambling is really hard and we need more power in our mind to leave gambling. once we can leave the gambling, we need to search another thing so our mind will stop thinking about gambling anymore. and if we can really quit from gambling, then we can start a new life without spend our money for playing gambling only.

True. To keep your mind busy with something else is a great idea. I think even video gaming can help some people and reading books or watching interesting movies can help others.

Diversifying attention is one of the best way to keep ourselves from gambling.  If we occupy our selves with works and keep busy, we will skip gambling and eventually forget about it.  We can also save money to repair the damage done by uncontrolled gambling and we can be able to rebuild our lost self esteem and respect once again.  It may take time but eventually all bad things that had been done will be forgotten and we will start as a new being far from being addicted to gambling.

This happens in the best case scenario, but unfortunately, as I personally heard from some gambling addicts, they think about gambling even when in a retaurant, or in a movie theater, or when going to sleep. An activity should be really interesting to distract an addict from gambling.

I know now some gambling addicts that really live and breath gambling. Its like its already in their bloodstream and all they talk is gambling. I think this kind of person would have difficulty in getting out of the gambling world. I don't know what will make this guys quit for good.
11190  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift? on: June 28, 2017, 09:02:22 AM
I don't think its wise to give bitcoin as a wedding gift, IMHO. Specially if the couples don't know about bitcoin in the first place. I think the best option is to give them fiat instead.  Or maybe give some things that they can value specially they are starting from scratch. like a TV or some appliances.
11191  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-06-27] WannaCry Some More? Petya Bitcoin Ransomware Attacks on: June 27, 2017, 09:22:59 PM
I guess those affected now didn't learn from the WannaCry virus attack. Did not upgrade their PC's and their servers to protect from this kind of attack. I hope they have a backup and be able to restore everything and not paid this low life hackers.
11192  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: June 27, 2017, 08:45:52 PM
Electrum wallet is the best wallet I have used so far. Its lightweight the design is user friendly and you can adjust the fee's. Specially with the current situation, adjusting fee's is a must because if you like to transfer bitcoin quick then you will love this feature.
11193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: So who of the original ETH dev team dumped a fuckton of ETH? on: June 27, 2017, 08:30:04 PM
Apparently, the GDAX Ethereum megaflashcrash was due some huge amount that came from the genesis block dumping all at once into the market and triggering this shitshow.

Apparently, the genesis block had 72 million premined coins that was kept between the developers (wtf)

Honestly, how isn't ETH anything but a mess?

What a selfish post... You really posted it? Why?

Selfish how? Im just pointing at an obvious problem: There's too much ETH in control of the original devs and we have seen what potentially is a massive dump by one of them or several of them.

Im not worried because im not holding any ETH, but if I was holding ETH, then i would be pretty worried.

If I understood correctly, 72 million out of 100 million is in the hands of very few. That's pretty retarded in my book.

If this is true then it can only one thing. They are just simply pump and dump coin. I pitied who may have been trap already and can't get out. I'm not worried at all because I was able to get out of it weeks before the actual crash and I'd say I made a profit. But for those who are not lucky, and still holding I think they will be in a rude awaking once the price drop more in the coming weeks.
11194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: June 27, 2017, 07:16:48 PM
The only way to quit gambling for good is to eject it from your everyday life, don’t think you can control it, that is just an illusion, forget about it, stop gambling and begin to do other stuff to entertain you.

I totally agree with you, research has even proven that when you repeatedly do something for more than six times you form a habit from it so it's just a matter of stopp bf completely and forming new habits of doing other things apart from gambling. Just try to stop for more than six times and you're sure going to be able to avoid it.

When it becomes habit then it is hard for you to not do it so be careful for those that have not been addicted yet. To be honest, Im heavily addicted and I couldnt stop that is why I still play nowadays. I play with low bankroll so that I wont lose everything like I used to be and with this I could keep gambling forever

Its really hard habit to break. Specially for pathological gamblers. Its already in their minds and you cannot just shutdown because it is already wired in your brain. The best method is to really seek professional help in order for someone to really stop their addiction. And admit to your self that you are a gambling addict. Because most of us are having a self denial, that is why we can't quit it.
11195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India's small merchants accepts bitcoin on: June 27, 2017, 06:47:49 PM
I believe more and more countries will be starting to consider accepting bitcoins as a mode of payment for goods and services, this would surely result in a huge demand for bitcoins in the future and it might cause bitcoin price to rise higher. But bitcoin still need to solve the problem which are slow transaction speed and high miners fees to encourage more users to use bitcoins for purchasing small items.
Not only bitcoin can be accepted, but also some altcoins are already accepted as a payment method. Like OneCoin, which already exist in a lot of countries.Has a lot of merchants and they are using it at the moment to make some transactions for their goods Wink

I heard a lot about Onecoin, but I'm not still buying it. It could be more country will accept bitcoin as payment scheme, but I believed we are still years behind from it. Unstable price, high transaction fees and slow confirmation are the reason that we won't see it happening in the near future. Bitcoin now is not for micro payments. Its beginning to used as investment instrument or even store of value.
11196  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-06-26] Bitcoin Adoption Grows in World’s Leading Electronics District on: June 27, 2017, 06:14:57 PM
No surprise at all since they already adopted bitcoin last April. I'm expecting all retail stores should be accepting bitcoin as mode of payment their. Japan is truly leading the way for bitcoin that is why  I find in funny seeing hundreds of thread saying the bitcoin is dead. With Japan backing it up, I doubt it will die but instead will grow more every year and soon be mass adopted globally.
11197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: June 27, 2017, 05:44:28 PM
My plan is to start a Youtube channel with the bitcoins that I have. Since I need a camera anyway, might as well use that camera to earn few more bucks. Creating a Youtube channel will be fun especially if your niche is travelling. You go to places, capture the whole experience, then go home, and have fun editing the videos. I know that there are Youtubers that hate editing but I think that's the part where you can get so creative.

I truly believe that it's so boring to have a life where you don't travel that much so I'm going to travel with or without a Youtube channel. But like I said, it's better to create a few kickbacks from the earnings from Youtube. I got locked up in the house for years now and I'm preparing for next year to start visiting places that I really want to visit. All of the expenses will be paid by converting the bitcoins that I have. I know that travelling will be a major expense in life but some of my bitcoins have already made profits by now. There are coins that I got when the price of bitcoin was still just $600. That's 4x already with the price of $2400 per bitcoin so I don't really mind spending that much coins in the future.

Sounds like a good idea mate. And I hope you are going to succeed with your plans. My plan was to put up a website, something like a e-store or blog and try to monetize it in the future. I'm working with a friend of mine, who is a web developer and both of us are going to maintain it and share profit.
11198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC getting too expensive to gamble with on: June 26, 2017, 09:22:37 PM
That's exactly why there are a lot of decimal places concerning when you're using bitcoins when you are gambling online. That's just basically it; it's all the same with just different currencies. There are a lot of ways you could safely use different things. Don't worry about the things that you've done you should know what you should do when you are making that choice to do it, better be ready for consequences.
op just too early to make judgement , he might did not think clearly that time.

there is nothing called too expensive to gamble with when bitcoin itself indeed have a lot of the smallest unit and everybody could always accustome it to the amount in dollar or whatever currency you want to convert , it wasn't a valid reason to move to other currency , bitcoin still best as gambling currency.

For me as long as you enjoy playing with crypto's I think you are all good. Whatever unit you can used to play then it will just fine. It you think that bitcoin is too expensive then look for altcoins, otherwise just stay with bitcoin. And by the way, if you are thinking its expensive because of the transaction fee, I think the fee is going down because the spam attack has already stopped and confirmation time should be quick by now.
11199  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CryptoСurrency forecast, my first experience is 71% good result, is it true? on: June 26, 2017, 08:06:04 PM
Interesting page but it seems a little lean and it's not clear entirely what action I should be taking from it..

The way I see it, they will likely predict which direction a certain coin its going and its up to us if we are going to follow their prediction. I saw some comments appreciating their efforts to put this kind of prediction and will surely help newbies on what coin are they going to invest. I'm bookmarking your site and will observe some of your top 5 assets.
11200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hey guys get this, no sell = no value drop on: June 26, 2017, 06:54:04 PM
Why would you not sell and free up some $$$ if you know price was going to drop further?

Its trading basics 101 sell as the market starts turning bearish and then rebuy even further down in the dip.

Just make sure you arent selling right at the very bottom  Wink

I don't know what coins he holding but if its bitcoin they I will not sell but hold. But if that is shitcoin he's holding, then I agree it would be better to sell before you are trap and lose money. ETH is going down as well, so If you are going to ask me, I'm going to sell it now and maybe buy back again at more lower price.
