It is probably because Bitcoin Gold fork already happened yesterday (so only snapshot of those BTC balances matters) and those who bought BTC only for getting free Bitcoin Gold are now selling their bitcoins.
The fork will be on November that's what I red from a website. So I guess a Blew my opportunity to sell my 15m SATs. The snapshot was yesterday, at block 491,407. The Bitcoin Gold network, however, is not functioning yet, and is planned to be up in November. I really hope it will ever be up. It is a hoax and I really do not see how some devs who do not even understand their left from their right will make this work since what they were after themselves in the first place is free cash ready to dump pretty fast on users. let us just keep watching how the 2x fork will play out anyway. This can also be free cash and still an oportunity. Thats what matter its up to the community what to support. Anyway bch price almost the same with eth haha |

I just checked poloniex today and btcprice went don't to $5506.28 so that would be -$500 dive. Is this because of the upcoming fork? Can somebody enlighten me what could be causing this?

No, Bitcoin Gold has a replay protection. That means the broadcasted transaction from the current chain cannot rely on the other chain, in other words, not accepted by the other chain. However, at the next fork, there might be a risk of replay, because it is unknown whether they implemented a replay protection. Hi how is it unknown? But I don't think they'll be taking deposit or withdrawal on the first day. So if you bitcoin on these exchanges you will automatically have on your account bitcoin gold is that it? Sorry Im really new to this forks. Yes correct and you can trade it anytime if market opens in that particular exchanges I transfer some of my btc in hitbtc before the snapshot but its not credited yet as of now maybe it will take more hours. Ive read somewhere that ita not safe to transfer btc now. It has something to do with the relays and stuffs. |

WE still have to wait for more info about this matter. As of now just wait and be patient if someone will make an export software for bitcoin gold. Yeah lets wait for any announcements on how we can be safe. But as the last fork its safer not to move bitcoin till that day. It is best. |

I am a person that gains profit from investing in ICOs but now I'm having second thoughts. I know some ICOs are potential scam so I am really picky to where I put my money.
Anyway, considering with what happened to Ethereum price and with the nearing Aigist 1, do you guys think that it will still be profitable to invest on ICOs mostly on ERC20 tokens and those accepting btc payments?
This is why i dont spend money at an ICO at first. I join bounty.. at first ICO managers are at high energy of interacting with the community at near closing of ICO they slow down and even stop. If devs finds a way of keeping the communication active I then consider investing. Given that i see potential. |
