Seems like a cool project for someone with a lot of time on their hands that didn't care about profiting from it. That leaves me extremely uninterested. Last I checked, there wasn't even a way to play pirated games on a Xbox One. That's why I haven't bought one yet ... Lol. That's about the only thing hackable on a xbox 360, the original Xbox from 2001 was the one that really allowed you to do some cool 3rd party software shit with.

I often question why some of these idled data centers have not entered into CPU mining, many of the servers have 8 or more CPU's in each rack computer. Never mind the power required but if they are sitting idled, why not?
Because it wouldn't make a significant amount of money for the time, hassle, and added mileage on the equipment. |

Is there any trusted pool to use?
So far, I've only used nanopool, spacepool, and zhash.pro. Have had no issues with payouts, but the zhash.pro pool's front end is supposed to be upgraded soon. Right now it's super slow. |

I use windows, my only concern are the god damn Windows updates... After every one, my rig seems to get a new big problem. Normally its GPUs missing, but have been other shit aswell. Once or twice i had to format the entire rig. Stay away from the updates!
You can completely disable windows updates in gpedit on Win10. Other versions you don't even have to do it in gpedit. |

Newegg, BHphoto, microcenter all have them.
None of these places have any in stock unless you are talking about the resellers asking for 1k and up. There are zero in stock across all the major distributors. Dont just tout random places. There is shortage and I wouldnt expect any to be available for a few weeks, and if they do they will sell out in under a hour like the last batch 3 days ago on Newegg. You're right about selling out in an hour. I watched some 1070ti's that I got a notification for from BH sell out in 45 minutes. I also got another notification yesterday that they had 1080ti's in stock. I was lucky enough to get six of them, but they were gone in less than an hour. You have to sign up for the notifications and be ready to buy as soon as the email comes. |

I don't like buying 6 at a time from Amazon anymore, unless it's a third party seller that doesn't charge sales tax. Most of the third party sellers are price gouging right now though. Other places that don't have facilities in my state are much better. BH is at the top of my list. No sales tax unless you live in New York ... Free and fast shipping. You just have to be ready and buy when they have stock ... Wait an hour ... They may all be gone.
