For what it's worth, PoolMineWith.Us has NOT received the wallet yet.  We haven't mined a single block.  Other than the twitter update, we're still waiting just like the rest of you.

Looking into it.  We're already getting stratum traffic even though the stratum obviously isn't up.

I gotta say... That one is impressive.

I've been seeing a LOT of downtime/site offline since Coinmarket has gone over to Cloudflare.

Just figured I'd speak up, since I never saw downtime that wasn't announced prior to the changeover.

I've gone ahead and removed the pool fees for the time being at kdc.poolminewith.us.

Go mine some gold!

Enjoy.

Turned my miners off Klondike yesterday (40,000khs) emailed dev some suggestions i got ignored I've left 4000khs on and now crypto fountain have locked my account  ill be dumping if this doesnt get sorted shortly !!!

Granted, I have no idea exactly what was the content of that email, but if you literally emailed only "suggestions", then no response would be required.  If you asked questions or whatnot, that's a different story.

Don't worry.  We're running a little "contest" for anyone that didn't get one of those first 20 slots.  You'll have your chance too!

I have a silly and potentially stupid idea:

The Olympics are happening right?

When someone wins an event in the Olympics, what are they awarded with?  A gold medal.

What does the Klondike, and therefore KlondikeCoin represent?  Gold

We as a community should do some digging and see if we can identify the winners of the various events and award them with paper wallets of 100 KDC each.  Thereby making KlondikeCoin an "unofficial sponsor" of Gold Medalists everywhere.

(Yes, I'm sort of pulling this idea riding the coattails of Doge sponsoring Olympic teams)

Wait wait wait...

A premine AND an IPO?

You can't be serious.

We want to ensure the best possible success for this coin by securing service providers and facilities for the coin holders. Because of the potential volume of coins per block, we feel that this is going to be the best way to ensure that these services can be offered from day 1 so that people are not yelling at us for a way to actively make use of the coins.

Yeah, no.  This is a pure cash grab... and most definitely not "dogecoin-like".

Please feel free to explain why you feel that way as we feel that offering such a great coin, with great functionality and features, services on launch and a big crossover in to the asian markets is a very good opportunity for people who are interested in our coin. If you feel that the 3% / IPO is unfair then please feel free to mine another coin. We see a lot of altcoins launch, and we are learning from all of their mistakes by ensuring a solid and smooth launch, please appreciate that we only have everyone's best interest at heart. This isn't going to be a coin you mine for a day and then switch to mine something else Smiley

Sev

Alright, best we can do is take you at your word, just like ever other coin that has over-promised and under-delivered.

Good luck to you.  You'll need it.

Wow, I was actually reading through this whole thread last night and I got inspired to go purchase a chunk of Klondikes.  I just went to Coinmarket.io and I have to say I have changed my mind.  A never-ending stack of buys for 10 coins at a time just to make a point and desperately sustain a pricecomes across as adolescent and obnoxious.  I can't even see one legit buy order to be able to tell what a real demand price might be.  You are hurting your coin and it's unfortunate because you have obviously worked very hard.  Good luck sorting things out.

Go check Coinedup instead, there are 10 BTC buy orders at the top.

Well there were, 4.5 BTC left

Thanks, just went back to coinmarket.io and buy stacks were gone.  I really hope it was some sort of strange glitch, but I've never seen that before.  I think I'll wait a few days and see how this gets sorted out.  Great community support here though, gotta say.  Back to sorting through all the crap coins :-(

Actually it happens on a lot of exchanges with a lot of coins.  I spend a lot of time on CoinEx and I see it all the time.  It's people trying to manipulate the price of a coin to their favor since the small transactions can easily sway the market ticker and hopefully influence other buyers/sellers to create a run.

When you see long runs of similar small coin orders like that, just ignore them.

Klondike still going down???

It's been relatively stable since last night in the 5000's.

Before anyone says otherwise, pretty much all of the altcoins have tanked over the last few days.  SmartCoin has shaved off 50%, Coino has gone down 40%, Digibyte has gone down about 40%, even most of the old guard coins have been falling too thanks to the BTC market - nobody wants to spend money.

The exception of course is Dogecoin.

lol, to the moon!

Doge has been such a massive success due to the community. A lot of people said it was an awful idea at first, but they've proved with a good community you can pretty much make any altcoin popular.

But but... how dare you say the community is responsible for making a coin useful?!

It's completely the dev's responsiblity to make us rich by forcing block changes and whatnot dontchaknow!

 Grin

exactly what is making the btc price drop so much anyway haven't really been paying attention until kdc plummeted

MtGox have stopped all BTC withdrawals. They are blaming Bitcoin devs for coin weakness that allows double transactions on withdrawals, bitcoin devs are blaming them for bad coding.

There are a lot of rumours that this is just MTGox trying to hide the fact that they are about to go down. If that happens there will be a pretty major drop in BTC price I would imagine, but it's all rumours as always.

Why would MtGox go down with all their assets?

MtGox is a Ponzi scheme.  They don't have funds to pay out their current customers.

Seriously, WHY would any exchange be able to support a commodity price 10% higher than the rest of the world?  For example, when MtGox was trading BTC at $1000 USD+, the rest of the world was in the $900's.  If you were buying BTC, why would you even consider buying at MtGox?  You wouldn't.  Therefore there would be no buy support and the value of BTC would never be able to break parity from other exchanges at best, let alone exceed 10-15% higher than them.

The only explanation is that MtGox was artificially manipulating the numbers somehow, and more than likely running a Ponzi scheme borrowing money from new customers to pay the old ones.

It finally came crashing down around them and now they are looking for yet another excuse to dig themselves out from under their steaming pile.  Hopefully this time they won't and they'll die off for the better of the community.

Hard stuff... you think they used customer money for their own profit, and now because BTC is not moving higher they have problems to payback customers?  Those exchange all ask commissions, and a lot of it!!! For example when you check how much cryptsy earn everyday on commisions then i don't think MtGox can have run out of money, unless that guy spend everything on drugs and girls.

I wouldn't doubt it for a second.

Is the owner of MtGox still missing by the way?  Last I knew he disappeared several days ago, along with something like $38 million.

What's wrong with this coin? Why it keep dropping?

Nothing.  The day traders are just pissed off that the devs won't capitulate to their demands to make them a quick buck but rather keep to the original vision of the coin.

Imagine that.  Devs with balls enough to see something through!

Annnnnyway... enough of that.

I'm anxious to hear more about the cart store from the dev.  Patience, I know.  Looking forward to see if it's simply a hosted ecommerce website or more of a payment processing gateway/API.  The latter would simplify things a good bit for what I'm working on!

Looking forward to the updated roadmap!
