Its Scrypt Adapative-N so basically as you have with Vertcoin, it utilizes its own unique miner (through GPU in most cases) that will for the most part half your available mining power

hmm that's new to me - will that mean that I can use cgminer like for other scrypt coins?
and solo-mine?

ok I prob need to study a bit I see..

for other coins yes, this wont let you use cgminer to mine it.

Basically the advantages of the two main features with our coin (adaptive and gravity) is that we are pushing away mining pools from hammering the coin and having an impact on the coins value.

We want to ensure the best possible success for this coin by securing service providers and facilities for the coin holders. Because of the potential volume of coins per block, we feel that this is going to be the best way to ensure that these services can be offered from day 1 so that people are not yelling at us for a way to actively make use of the coins.

So we will be providing a download link to Vertminer (Which is used by Vert Coin) in order to mine Panda

the simplest way for us to explain what vertminer is :

It makes use of GPU at around half the normal capacity of what you would usually hash at through CGMINER - It's a modded algorithm that is harder to mine than normal scrypt, and requires lowered thread concurrency and possibly lowered intensity, memclock and core clocks depending on your setup.

Please refer to vertcoin threads and settings related threads in order to gain a more indepth understanding of how it works:

Yeah, no.  This is a pure cash grab... and most definitely not "dogecoin-like".

Please feel free to explain why you feel that way as we feel that offering such a great coin, with great functionality and features, services on launch and a big crossover in to the asian markets is a very good opportunity for people who are interested in our coin. If you feel that the 3% / IPO is unfair then please feel free to mine another coin. We see a lot of altcoins launch, and we are learning from all of their mistakes by ensuring a solid and smooth launch, please appreciate that we only have everyone's best interest at heart. This isn't going to be a coin you mine for a day and then switch to mine something else Smiley

We are going to be assisting users with compiling a lot of the information already available on the Vertcoin setting threads to ensure that users can get up and running without too much turbulence and raging Wink
