1121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Ethereum reach the 1400$ mark this year? on: April 21, 2020, 08:17:56 PM
There is possibility that ethereum will hit the $1400 this year because we have 8 months left before the end of the 2020 and that is very long and more possible to happen and ethereum can prepare to increase the price in the end of 2020.

But right now we still in the dumped of the market so once the start of pumping again we expect high chance for the ethereum to reach that price.
I think that this year ETH will not be able to grow to $ 1400, because at least by the end of the year there are 8 months left, but so far the virus does not stop and now comes the world crisis.
It too early to decide the price of ETH not to receive the $1400 price range asked by the OP because the volatility in nature of crypto market can suddenly the market trend into ridiculous surge in price of the market. With that been said, the pandemic is the major thing i see hindering the bullish market now but everything is still possible though.
1122  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency can not replace fiat currency. on: April 21, 2020, 06:15:49 PM
You tried, you made a point : that are still many rural areas in the world that are yet to be developed, which may make the usage of cryptocurrency no feasible In those area. In this vein I want to believe it is the same with internet network. It may take long process and time but it is possible, network must be made available in all those area to achieve this.
Thats correct but if you read the OP statement he have mentioned the rural area and he clearly stated that in the future when internet is not the problem of rural area and even internet is not the problem every in the world crypto will not replace fiat because we actually need both.
1123  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency can not replace fiat currency. on: April 20, 2020, 05:28:30 PM
You actually did not give strong reasons why cryptocurrency can't replace fiat currency. Cryptocurrency can actually/theoretically do most things fiat currencies can do, but I doubt typical fiat currencies can safely do most things cryptocurrency can do with losing their centralization. Besides, government can run their fiats on Blockchain or other real decentralized system.

Crypto could actually work better in rural areas than fiat, even without relying too much on internet. But I believe safe/crypto-friendly worldwide rural internet coverage is a possibility in the future
I believe that specially today that Coronavirus spreads through social contact. They are saying that the easiest way to transfer the virus is through fiat currency. Imagine, they are saying that virus can leave in fiat. So, covid seems to be a startup in a cashless society. Believe me that covid is a way to present cryptocurrency.
You totally make an awesome point there mate because the banks was said to quarantine fiat currency to prevent the spread of the virus and alot of questions are asked these days about cash been unsafe to use during the pandemic which i believe will give crypto currency more exposure but despite that some people will still choose to use fiat currency.
1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Boogle Coin, Are they Google? Lets Discuss. on: April 20, 2020, 04:29:30 PM
I am not with Boogle, nor do i have any affiliation, this thread only serves as information.

I saw the Boogle project a while ago and immidiatly noticed the similarity to, of course Google.

Was wondering how they could legally put out a search engine with such a similar Name.

Does anyone know if or if not they are affiliated with Google, how they were able to acquire Boogle.com? (Recently) And if they are not affiliated, how are they legally able to do it?
It pretty easy mate, they are making search engine decentralized so that people private information will be secure and they also offer a service of splitting their advertised earning to users of their search engine base of the numbers of advertisements link they click which i think will be challenge to tradition search engines and innovation like this is what we need not project which imitate others.

Well, again, that dosnt drill to the core, thats just what they offer or want to do. What me and a couple of other potential investors are wondering about is how they can operate with that company name/domain being a search engine and not get an asswhooping from google. Thats all.
There's nothing like ass whooping from Google because of the domain the project owner used since the domain was legally bought through GoDaddy LLC and if the boogle domain matter much to Google they would have bought it just like they did with the Google.net, social, .news etc.

It took me 3 seconds to find: https://domainnamewire.com/2012/04/16/google-files-complaint-against-domain-registered-1999/

This is a business on a confusingly similar domain with millions collected from investors, the business has been branding itself as Boogle and recently acquired Boogle.com. If y lawsuit of a few million, (maybe up to the hundreds) and a UDRP for the domain dosnt count as an ass-whooping, then i dont know what does. The question remains the same, why does google not do it (its not like they are not aware of the project). Instead they choose not to comment.
I never see the UDRP complaint before and as you said it  a business on confusing similar domain but the domain aint the same name and if Google want to whoop-ass it will be Go daddy LLC ass because they are the one responsible for it all for it didnt take them nothing to inform Google about it in the first while they sell it to them for high price.

why does google not do it ? I dont know.

1126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline cryptocurrency transfer? on: April 18, 2020, 09:06:35 PM
Sending crypto currencies to another user using messaging service sounds bullshit. From what I understand is that the exchange (which I never heard of) will have access to your account balance and everything. Once you send crypto currencies through SMS (you will have to send it to a user having an account in that exchange and has their phone number associated with it), they receiver will receive the coin in his exchange wallet. This sounds really impracticable and security wise, not safe/secure at all.
I don't know how it really works but base on my understanding there will be a third party suppose to be the messaging company, ironically bitcoin is made to eliminate the third parties like banks or the middle-man. What I imagine on how it works is that your message acts like your signature once you send it to them they will pass the funds or the crypto to your recipient just like what you are doing in the banks to make transactions. I don't want to call impracticable or some sort of silly idea, I just don't want to say sorry for my words in the future.
Thats correct. SMS message procedure are done through the sender to service tower to SMSC(Short Message Service Center which is centralized) to service tower and to the receiver.
I don't see any reason a genuine crypto enthusiast that values his privacy will use such a platform.

1127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's price, and mental health. on: April 18, 2020, 04:01:52 PM
Well, actually my mental health is fine, as long as bitcoin is above $7000 haha
I think it's better if it went up to $10,000. My brain will be at ease and relaxed, no mental health issues.

I'll gonna be more patient on this since bitcoin halving is near and pumping is possible.
The current price of BTC now is $7027.18, let's wait for a month.
Almost all crypto investors and traders want the price of bitcoin market to surge more but with the current pandemic issue i believe it will be the month of halving before bitcoin can really make the price you mentioned and it hurts because those that predicted this year halving not to be much profitable we think they are right.
1128  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥BITSLER > $10,000 DAILY Wagering contest < REFUND plan for Betking's players on: April 17, 2020, 02:31:42 PM
I must confess Baryom is a smart, amazing and business intellectual guy because what he's planning to do will clean the name of Betkings and also advertised his casino while more gamblers trust about his company will increase. But out of curiosity, is there any strong relationship between Dean and Baryom because things like this dont just happen?
I'm sorry of i offend anyone with my curiosity.
They run a partnership program but how they intent to do it after the BK debt paid is what i dont understand.

I agree with Chrisbin that we should judge people so quickly when they are still sticking around trying to make things right. BUT at the same time I have heard from 2 users on this forum (not me thankfully) about BK because I asked them about it when I wanted to join.
we need to remember what has happened and not allow it to take place again.
That's correct but i learn something long ago that things that involve huge number of people is not easy to control cause it consist of people from different background, culture and understanding. However, most people from the crypto sphere usually quick answer to things especially when it have to do with fund and it good to see someone like Baryom standing up to clear the issue.

1129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: April 17, 2020, 01:46:44 PM
With these day of nice growth of GOLD price, I got to see myself how storage fee works and I think I've seen a problem.

The website tells that the fee is 0.0027% per day.
I had 5.94 GOLD and although the calculation would say:
fee = 5.94 * 0.0027 / 100 = 0.00016038 GOLD,
my wallet was paying 0.001 GOLD, which is 6 times more.

I'm also curious that since now I have only 0.024 GOLD (which I hoped I can convert into some ETH change for gas and I've seen late that it's under the minimum limit) I'll still pay 0.001 GOLD / day?
I think that some fine tuning is necessary. And yes, I know that you have only 3 decimal places and the contract is live, so I don't know what a fair solution would be.

If you store your tokens on any exchange we do not changes fees.

Regards,
Support Team @ Digital Gold
https://gold.storage
To avoid misconception because it seems you make a mistake. Do you mean you dont charge fees for token kept on exchange? If you dont charge less than 0.001Gold, is the fee only applied for working days or round the clock?
1130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tips on: April 17, 2020, 12:24:16 PM
I also wanna share my trading tips. Mainly, recently, I tried trading signals of Margin Whales
Snip..
Honestly, this kind of share could be misleading because theres no genuine trading signal out there but group which mainly took advangage of vulnerable and less knowledge crypto traders. I will advise you guys not to join the whales margin signal group and it better to check the whales move through whales alert.
I dont see element  of trading tips in what he shared for it something that have to do with trading signals.

As of now, there are only 14 members in the group and I think if you have a good service this might have an interest in everyone who will find your group. It is good to hear that you are giving free tips to everyone but they need to understand that the crypto market is unpredictable and there are no accurate tools to predict on it.

How about if you also open a group with open conversation not just a channel group. But anyway, thank you for your effort and keep up the good work and I hope all you have been broadcast is accurate so that they will earn a profit. The important is, how to do stop-loss and how to broadcast buy/sell point.
They will understand the part of crypto market to be unpredictable if the price predictor included it ever he give people his trading tip and from your message I believe you have joined @Pipjaeger group but i think it will be more better if he also provides his chart tips on this thread which is also what some people does on here.

1132  Economy / Economics / Re: China’s second corona wave can it crush it’s economy? on: April 16, 2020, 09:55:27 PM
Just when we thought that China had banished corona from it’s land suddenly new cases began to pop up at record pace, and now the health experts believe that it could be a second potential wave of Coronavirus in China. At this stage China will once again be forced to go into lockdown, and do you’ll think that it’s economy will be able to recover quickly from this second lockdown too?.

Source:

https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/china-coronavirus-cases-hit-highest-21857013

We can't be totally sure what they are saying is true or no. They won't even release half of their statistics publicly. Are they this desperate to win this economic war? I find it hilarious seeing them being surprised that the cases are rising back again. I mean, like what did they expect? And now they claim that all those "imported" cases. Lol, yeah we believe you China.
The issue about the Chinese having another Covid-19 situation is truth but i don't think it will affect their economy as the article writer presume because they were able to manage their previous occasion and it wont be difficult for them to manage another .

I don't know what made them think that they have successfully bought everything under control. They even went this far allowing everyone to resume their daily activity as usual to make "everything normal" on their country.
They did successfully control the covid-19 but their mistake is allow people from overseas to enter their country which was what lead to the second case of covid-19.

1134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Another Exchange got hacked on: April 14, 2020, 07:56:49 PM
There is safe way to choose sentralized exchange, you won't ever be comfortable to store your money there.

A good thing is depend on your intention, choose hardware wallet if your intention is for long term investment.

Choose centralized exchange when you have intention to be a trader, at least when you are a trader you will intens to see your asset on the exchange so when the bad thing come you can send all your fund to the right place.
In addition to your statement no exchange site (either centralized or decentralized) is ever secure and i think this is the part people seems not to understand that the benefit of decentralized exchange site the no KYC implementation and that does not justify it be some kind of bullet roof to attack.
1135  Economy / Exchanges / Re: "False crypto exchange traffic volume?" on: April 14, 2020, 06:28:52 PM

@Exolix, glad you notice this because most people in the crypto territory believe capital market was the only price and coin ranking platform that listed project fake volume while all others dont have intact trade volume and ranking. But, what people dont understand is that exchange sites are the most cause of fake volume listing we're experiencing these days.
@rexxarofmoknathal, i dont understand your stance but alexa rank should enough to judge if the information provided by the platform said is correct.

I would like to receive a comment from coingecko. Why do we see information in this format and what affects it.
Waiting for a reply or comment from coingecko concern this statement will be waste of time.
I dont understand what you mean when you said "Why do we see information in this format"
The last time i check the result and rank provided by alexa ranking is enough to the traffic of a site.
1136  Economy / Exchanges / Re: "False crypto exchange traffic volume?" on: April 13, 2020, 09:17:21 PM
We cross check the volume that these exchanges are reporting versus the website traffic that they are getting . You can see it at https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges

An exchange with large volume and low traffic would be a negative signal

I read about "Trust Score 2.0: CoinGecko Updates" and everything is logical and understandable, but then I looked at the table. Why does the Huobi Global exchange have such a difference between the “24h Volume (Normalized)” and “24h Volume" data?

Funny you ask this since I don't think many people have noticed it. In any case, it seems that its all to do with the volume being higher than the benchmark as only then the normalisation will be applied to correct for the discrepancy between the two. This normalisation involves multiplying the volume to the traffic estimate against the benchmark, thus driving the volume downwards. You can read more about it from this source addressing the exact same issue: https://www.coindesk.com/coingecko-unveils-exchange-trust-score-to-fight-fake-volume-data

1137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ixinium bounty participants? on: April 13, 2020, 04:08:51 PM
How many of you guys participated in ixinium bounty campaign? I heard it's a success from few bounty hunters, well I remember this bounty campaign and as I can tell it does look like a scam project back then, no info about the team, what lesson can be learnt here ?
But of course, the truth is that most of these projects that end up as scams wasn't that they were set up to end as scams but sometimes the teams get overwhelmed with the reality on ground and then abandon the projects. We have seen good and greatly set up projects end that way. So, for a suspected scam project to end up a winner is an exception just like a winner ending up a scam is.
Firstly, i also parcipated in this bounty.
Secondly, i just find this thread now but i was amazed that someone have the thought that the project is scam which i totally disagree with because they paid all bounty partcipants and any partcipant who's not paid definitely dont follow the bounty manager instruction.
1138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: characteristics of fraudulent projects on: April 12, 2020, 11:17:10 PM
when investors and the crypto community already believed, but the team said differently!
- The team did not respond well to the crypto community.
- The team is very shady and does not provide updates about their projects on the telegram & social media channels.
- The team plans to take a vacation
- The team blocked accounts one by one from each community who questioned about the development of the project.
- and finally you are banned in this group  Grin

it's so annoying, how you feel?  Roll Eyes
I think I know some of the criteria you mean. first it is better to go away from them because based on what they are doing it is being scammed and they have no plans for new development, while many tokens and coins are developing new features to stay afloat in this industry.

This is a good lesson before investing in projects like this, where you have to understand whether the team is working seriously or just want to rob your money.
Fraudulent projects operate differently and it always hard to notice them right from the get go. Besides, understanding the project team serious working level didnt justify any project to be scam free and i think the best thing to do such situations is to be relevant with the project news in other to easily spot out some unfair thing done by the project team.
1139  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why not decentralized exchange..? on: April 12, 2020, 10:29:43 PM
Because users do not need to transfer their assets to the exchange, decentralized exchanges reduce the risk of theft from the hacking of exchanges. But with all of this, things change over time and fade away.
Who makes the transfer? Isn't magic or anything...
DEX exchange sites have no access to users funds, private keys and the trading activities are done on the Ethereum blockchain while the exchange site works just like Escrow services between the buyer/seller.

Its either DEX or CEX exchanges never give such assurance. The risk of losing our account is not also because of them but of course, ourselves who manage it.
As you said, the whole secure level of wallet of wallet depend on the wallet owner.

A reason why a lot of traders are using CEX than having DEX is not only about the security reason but it is all about the price and market volume which CEX has it more than DEX. And this thing is a big consideration that being a trader must have to look by.
You're right because almost all DEX lack liquidity, volume and a good price but it the best place to buy token/coin at best bottom price in the market.
1140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: April 12, 2020, 08:21:34 PM
this current pandemic will open more people eyes to cryptocurrency and gold...

I truly hope so, even more, I hope that cryptocurrencies will finally win the battle with gold to be the safe heaven asset of the world. Why?

Because its obviously easier to buy, sell and maintain cryptocurrencies and with real gold one can do literally nothing. It will be hard to buy something even if you have a kilo of gold because it is not easy to break it into smaller pieces (without the needed knowledge and special tools) and to value correctly. That is why I see a very big chance for cryptocurrencies because already we can buy things with them and hopefully soon it will be possible to pay with them everywhere. Easy to store, maintain, send, pay with, etc.

Of course GOLD token should perform very good now and I am sure we will see soon more real gold in the Bullionstar vault bought by Digital Gold team.
Many people who don't know the GOLD token are really excited about when I advertise it to them. Everybody says that we are entering the new economy age with crypto and for sure it will change the world and the FIAT money reality we are living in.

I think it is obvious for everybody that cryptocurrencies are way better than FIAT money or gold and finally, the world economy will have to change despite everything.
You make a good point but it a simultaneously progress for Rome is not build in a day and i think the words said by people like Kiyosaki and others big name about Gold and BTC to be save haven should be enough to boost people courage towards Gold and BTC.

What are advantages of Digital Gold over PAX Gold?
Digital gold is a genuine precious metal backed stablecoin which respect and follow the anonymity aspect implement by Satoshi which was also the thing most crypto enthusiast value while Pax in the other only value their own profit level through the centralized and KYC aspect of the project.
I watched Pax's video and they say there is no storage fee while GOLD has 0.99% annual storage fee.
Yes and that because Pax gold are troy ounce and have less security while Digital gold are PAMP cast gold bar which has some kind of secure and trackable security. I believe the 0.99% annual fee is for the security used to secure the gold bar.

I am aware that PAX Gold has 0.02% transaction fee but that's still a lot lower than Digital Gold.
The two token are ERC20 so there transaction fee is actually determine by ETH network not by the project team so there fee should be the same mate.
