11201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving Site Calculator on: January 05, 2016, 07:35:40 PM
you guys must be living under a rock, because that site is quite old, is nothing new

besides this i think, the effect of the halving will enter in spring

Oh yeah it is.
I first went on it when it was at 244 days 'till the block halving.
Now it is considerably less than that.
I found that on a similar thread to this one though.
11202  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: INVEST YOUR BITCOIN - 105% RETURN EVERY DAY on: January 05, 2016, 07:32:07 PM
If someone someday get a system for get a 105% of profit daily the last thing he is going to do is to share the system, because if he share the system quickly it would be useless, please guys use your mind, there arent nothing called free money

What if, you get 5% per day.
You then get 5% taken away for mining fee.
With a 1 BTC investment, you ger:
1.05 BTC
then
1% = 0.015BTC
5% = 0.075BTC

1.05-0.075BTC = 0.925BTC

MAybe this is what he meant?

1%=0.015 btc ? something wrong with it

I don't appreciate you quoting my mistake!

This is something that can be resolved over PM, don't do it here.
11203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving Site Calculator on: January 05, 2016, 07:27:39 PM
Ill be watching this site, thought it was before mid year, good to see we have another month n half of  extra time ahead

http://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/

wow what a site , which gives full details about bitcoin and its production and value in the market with this data we can come to know the market circulation of Btc. and how much minning are going to be done.

It also seems to have quite a good sister site, based on Litecoin!
Didn't realise that more than 1/2 of all the litecoin has been released in mining rewards.

Still need to calculat if my hashnest miners will lose me money after the halving, though.

Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?

If you wanted to invest it. I suggest you invest in platinum. Whilst gold and silver's prices are falling, platinums is till rising (I think).
You can get about 1kg of platinum for around £25000. OR 100g for £2500, down to 1g for £25
11206  Other / Meta / Re: New sig campaign to end sig campaigns on: January 04, 2016, 09:50:22 PM
Here's an idea:

How about those of us who don't appreciate what sig campaigns are doing to this forum decide to only start self-moderated threads, deleting any posts with sig campaign ads in them?

To get the idea to spread, we can use a sig of our own, come up with a slogan for it.

"END ADVERTISING SPAM - ONLY START SELF-MODERATED THREADS AND DELETE SIG CAMPAIGNER'S POSTS FROM THEM!"

Doesn't exactly roll of the tongue that way, but I'm sure we can work on that. How does it sound?

PS. I'd make this thread self-moderated but that's not possible on the meta subforum...

Most people that are in signature campaigns do not spam!

It is up to the campaign managers to decide this. If you want to persue anything take it up with them!

I always find it strange that those on this forum dislike people that want to get paid for posting. A lot of posts from people outside of signature campaigns are spammers and scammers too!

EDIT: if you try to put your "SLOGAN" in your signature, that is technically classed as a signature campaighn. And so, for posting, you will have to remove your own posts too?
11207  Other / Meta / Re: Hey Forum Software Is Free! on: January 03, 2016, 10:39:17 PM
I just found out that forum software is free!
http://www.simplemachines.org/

It is great that the forum administrators are supporting open source programs/operating systems and means that the software can be continuously be updated!
They also hired someone to make a new forum software for us. That software will also be open source.

Great!

So there will be a person momenterally dedicated to helping the forum to survive?

11209  Other / Off-topic / Re: Coca-Cola (the drink): Good or Bad (in moderation) on: January 03, 2016, 08:15:36 PM
Sugar does not cause cavities..

No but it feeds the bacteria in your mouth to grow, causing bad breath and up to infections of the tooth.

I recomend people who eat too much sugar to use  mouth washing water often.

Incorrect! At a high pH, bacteria cannot survive! So you actually kill bacteria by drinking coke.

Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?

BOTH!
You have banks that are trusted as they are ensured by the government.

You have online investments that can produce a lot for a small amount of money.
So, both is good!

I know of two sites that you could use to earn money from investments (only because they have been paying for more than 4 and a half years). If you wnat to PM me then I will tell you them and you can take a look. (one offers upto 60% daily return, the oter offers 110% weekly return. Profits accured from Gambling Bots, quite a legit service. With a minimum investment of around 0.1 BTC.

11213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Birthday Bitcoin! on: January 03, 2016, 12:53:51 AM
they said it couldn't last-- we had to prove them wrong!

too bad i didnt believe 100% in 2011 and quit mining

battlefield 3 dosent seem that important now lol!

I was advised to start with Bitcoin and was first introduced to it in June/May 2013. Extremely unhappy I didn't purhcas ethen, and only got into it 2 years later, in June 2015.

REASON:
In November 2013 the price hetrupled (was multiplied by 7), so from an investment of £100, I could've got ~£750 in just a financial quater!
11214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Birthday Bitcoin! on: January 03, 2016, 12:48:52 AM
The genesis block is 7 years old today (timestamp: 2009-01-03 18:15:05).

"The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks"

*raises glass* Here's to a productive 8th year.

And hopefully, another 8 years of Bitcoin!
Probably will continue. Still a great currency, I don't imagine its downfall until another twenty years time at least.
11215  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan Required on: January 03, 2016, 12:46:37 AM
I wont scam you. Scamming with money for starters is against the law and I don't want to get arrested. If your afraid I'll scam you and want to report me to the police i can give you my living address or whatever

You're a child.  You can't be held accountable for your actions.  And you know that.

Give me your phone number so I can call your parents and tell them of the scam you are pulling.  They will probably take away your internet.

Careful VOD!
That may be deemed as abusive. Considering you seem more immature, your parents may be monitorin what you are viewing. So, causing hurt to another member may force your parents to revoke you internet privilages for a while!
11216  Other / Off-topic / Re: Coca-Cola (the drink): Good or Bad (in moderation) on: January 03, 2016, 12:42:35 AM
I know it's still bad but I only drink 3 liters a week, mostly all on the weekend. And Diet Coke, which it may release insulin in our bodies but at least it's 0 calories so you are not getting fat unless you compensate later.

To me everything should be consumed in moderation, even the strongest substances if you will. There's no point of not consuming alcohol at all like alcoholics swear to do, just drink one cup every once in a while and there's no harm. The problem is people who drinks this poison stuff (being sugar or alcohol) daily and abuse it.

Diet code is less alkali than normal coke.
However, 'tis seen as being less helthy than normal coke.
Said to contain cancer causing ingredients such as: asparthame.
11217  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Game Idea (Gambling, P2P) on: January 03, 2016, 12:40:14 AM
I've got a good idea of a game from a game I'm playing since I was a kid. It is player-to-player game and is pretty entertaining. This game is pretty much nerve-wrecking. And you need guts to win.

I'm a web developer and needs a sponsor to develop this game or just get the game idea. I'd like to play this myself.

Why not copyright your concept first for a cheap price. Once this is done, no one can steal your idea.
You can then make a proto type or an algorithm for how the game will be done.
Then code it.
Then release it.

Simple, cannot see why a sponsor would really be necessary.
11218  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Comparison: Is It Just Me? on: January 03, 2016, 12:29:32 AM
I also like the simplicity of this forum, it runs flawlessly because it's not bloated with useless javascript and flash, I can have a ton of tabs opened at the same time, if I try to do this with more modern and "cooler" looking forums my browser starts lagging.

That's another thing. The SMF programs are more server based and more happens on the server than the clients.

Clients - users' computer
Server - centre of network
(incase people don't know)

I know forums like reddit tend to load more than you would ever want!

This collection of SMF programs seems to be more HTML heavy than Javascript and CSS, which allows the forum to flow more efficiently and offers a greater compatability of browsers and can be opened in almost any browser.
11219  Other / Off-topic / Re: Coca-Cola (the drink): Good or Bad (in moderation) on: January 03, 2016, 12:24:26 AM
I drink roughly 48 oz. a day and am relatively healthy.  Pretty sure I will die a betes one day.

Can you die of diabetes? You can get treatmenst for that now, I thought!

Is this wrong, can you actually die from it.

Be careful sending BTC first to a newbie...

Based on his rank, I think this warning may have been useless.
Though it is good that you are looking out for members on this forum! Great work upon notifying users of potential scam attacks from newbie acounts, even with low amounts of Bitcoin.
