it has popped twice, one from $900 to 500.. and just yesterday from $1200 to $800. why do people not see this? it was a crash, but it inevitably rebounded.

thats just too fast tho, they are called bear traps

once the bubble pops for real, we will have a few months of consolidation at low prices( like 50% lower than the ATH), much like the bubble pop from 266, only longer.

its going to take longer, because the market is growing and its taking more and more Capital to move the market either way.

at one point this bubble needs to pop or like deflate a bit, no? maybe? maybe not? idk!

I set my target at 3000$ for various reasons.
11223  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 02, 2013, 06:29:56 PM

its looking good!

the rally should be able to continue.

but a return to the choo choo MOFO trendline might be in order, the double top is consering.

Thanks for that!  If you had said 'single digits by Friday' I would have crawled in my hole and cried.

lol, no way.

worst case, we will test support at 800-600 ish, but initial support at previous resistances looks good to me, so i think UP.

I only just realised I could login by clicking the "Log In" box. Good to be back :-)

So, who else bought at 800?  Cool

I was a big seller at 800

all my friends handed me their bitcoins. i've been writing a lot of checks. lol.

but thats done now, so i see no  reason not to continue the rally to 3,000$

You see no reason to get to $3000?  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked
*ops i mean,  i see no  reason  not to continue the rally to 3,000$
you scared?

 Cool

it's been like this for a month.. the new crashes have been significantly different from the past ones; they weren't nearly as large in scale. can we say we are in a new era now? i mean, crashing from 1150 (bitstamp) to about $800 is a big deal, but going from $32 to $2, and $265 to $70 is much more significant, at least ratio wise.

the rise to 1K is definitely justified, a lot has changed, US regulations is no longer a concern for one.

but this market is bat shit crazy sometimes...

All i know is, I'll be a buyer when i see some really strong movements down, i'm looking for a bubble pop, b4 i buy again.

now does that mean ill buy at 500 or 1500   idk, and i don't really care.

11229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 02, 2013, 12:17:01 AM
since bitcoin traded below 900$ today, its time for a new poll

after some consideration... i came up with "Are you still bullish, even at >1000$?"

vote!

There is no "backing". There is only utility.

I would argue that bitcoin is backed by a very specific cryptographic algorithm.

I think Vycid said it pretty clearly, and I agree.  The unmentioned part that is exciting to me is the underlying value of the protocol/blockchain.  The rest is us speculating on the future price of the mining reward.

yup!

you have no idea where i have been!

at one point i flat out screamed  " BIIIIIIIITTTTTTCCCCCCCCCOOOOOOOOOINNNNNNNN " in public , as the cops were arresting me.

I ended up in the crazy house bin alongside replica, no joke

So now I have to quit the bitcoins, and keep stress levels low... so ya i wont be posting much of anything anymore.

good luck all, never let this bubble pop, never!  Wink

We should have here in this thread a spam detect & destroying system (SDDS). Every member should have be able to vote posts and if post gets enough "spam" votes then it would be moved to oblivion. If member has many posts with this "spam" mark, he/she/it should be banned for a while.

if its not Speculation Spam

The last time Gox was down nothing much happened. Wouldn't get too excited.

Meanwhile, bitstamp quietly moving their funds...

While she says she can't be sure, Meiklejohn says that that 194,993-bitcoin transaction was probably done by Bitstamp, the world's second-largest exchange for trading dollars for bitcoins.

ya i quietly moved some fundz recently too   Cheesy

I must admit I love (I'd love) those double bottoms.
Otherwise, I stated some while ago that we'll hit 1k by the end of this week, still have a day or so to go. Buy, everyone!

looks more like a double top

idk.

this is bitcoin.
