11241  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New Bitmain Products? S4+ and S7? on: April 11, 2015, 09:21:33 PM
I am sure the S4+, S6, S7 are already built but at the moment they are making too much money with the S5. There is no reason what so ever to release anything new.

How are you sure of this?  3 Products sound like a heck of a lot to sit on.

Do you have specs? Or other info?
11242  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: s3 problem , why moving ? on: April 11, 2015, 09:20:13 PM
heatsink's Security is.The piece alumine was left from side.

owner tell me this "it was running when I unplugged it to send it to you! If not we will send you a different one. "

Does it look like it did damage to the miner?  Being shipped and having a loose metal object in miner is not ideal.
11243  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Mining Proxy? on: April 11, 2015, 09:16:03 PM
You might look at some of the mining rental sites.  I believe beta rigs you can set miners for rent and have pools set on the site for when they are not rented.

So when not being rented you can pick pool on a website from anywhere with a internet connection.
11244  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: s3 problem , why moving ? on: April 11, 2015, 09:11:42 PM
my s3 , will turn on if not ?

With pictures we cannot answer this.  You would need to inspect it in person.  Pieces breaking off is not a good sign as far as it's being handled good in shipping.
11245  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S5 Setup [HD] on: April 11, 2015, 09:10:21 PM
this heatsink that cut only one the length, Is the problem ? my s3 have cut only one the lenght heatsink. http://www.picz.ge/img/s3/1504/11/4/4dc7b0f1c20f.jpg help me.

Don't understand what you're asking, sorry.

what is ?

http://www.picz.ge/img/s2/1504/12/c/c823585857ec.jpg

i'm interested , this Aluminiumis necessary ? my s3 Missing one piece

Almost always, yes.

why ?

what is ?

what do i ? One missing

With one missing it might not be a huge deal.  But it makes me think your miner took a huge hit.    Breaking the heatsink is not easy.

You might want to check for other damage, see if it still works. Before turning on make sure heatsink is still secure.  You might have to deal with seller if part's are falling off.

*Also this is in another thread no need for double post.  Also this is in S5 forum and it is a S3.   I suggest sticking with your thread you made.
11246  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: s3 problem , why moving ? on: April 11, 2015, 09:04:03 PM
i open s3 and i see that this Missing one piece . is this problem ?

http://www.picz.ge/img/s2/1504/12/c/c823585857ec.jpg

it should not cause any major issue, as long as the heatsink is still there, but i would return it anyway, because something like this could happen only if the package ghas been damaged in the shipping, probably the miner will not work as intended...

i owner wrote this > "Ok it looks like that is just a fin blade. You don't need it. You can simply unscrew the top and pull it out. Let me know if you have any problems well doing it. " and this "it was running when I unplugged it to send it to you! If not we will send you a different one. " Smiley

As long as it's just one fin I would not be worried as long as it works.   I would be worried about what caused this fin to come loose sounds like miner took a spill hard

Before running I would make sure heatsink is still on secure.   It's not something we can tell by picture.
11247  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: s3 problem , why moving ? on: April 11, 2015, 07:24:18 PM
i know it aluminium is cut from heatsink  only one plate and may  that s3 don't will turn on ?

Have you opened it up to verify this?  I just find it hard to believe the heatsink snapped like that.  And if it did that miner took quiet the hit.

I would NOT run it without opening it up removing the object, and looking at miner with top of case off.  If it is metal no you don't have metal parts falling around during normal operation.  And looking at miner in video top does not look that great cant tell if the scrap is from or how deep it in.  This miner might of had a hard life.

or this or heatsink

http://www.picz.ge/img/s3/1504/11/6/6bf6df41d06b.jpg

Have you not opened it up yet?  You WILL want to before running it.  If there is a loose piece of metal that can connect things that should not be that could do damage to miner, or worst case scenario cause flame.

11249  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Avalon 4.1 Miner- Summer Mining - Notlist3d on: April 11, 2015, 06:26:18 PM
I am preparing a little bit ahead.    In next week or two I will be testing more then one. So today one of my goals was to test a usb hub.

I ended up going to my parts closet and found a 5 port usb non-powered hub (generic inexpensive hub).  Plug it into Raspberry Pi and then the one Avalon 4.1 I have into it.  Worked perfect It's now mining away on a hub, did not slow down mining or any bad things.
11250  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Rand Paul Walks Off Interview with The Guardian (Hmm... Did he?) on: April 11, 2015, 03:37:19 PM
He obviously had to leave, since the time was up. The "reporter" is a slimy rodent educated by a messed up system.

He could have finished the question.  I'm surprised he just left.  He should have said he had to go to other interview not just turn and walk away, I would have believed it then.

I do agree the reporter was happy it happened.  He knew it would get air time.   But you can't blame a reporter for being happy they got a good blip to sell to news channels.

"Last question..." A venue like this is not free or cheap for CNN. Even the rodent 'journalist' knew that. He NEVER took the opportunity to ask his SOOOOO important last question minutes before someone said "LAST QUESTION!". And even then he asked another question, not that SOOOOO important  last question he was dying to ask... You know, the one that came after rand paul was called again by the CNN crew.

How come we never see a longer video of at least 30 minutes BEFORE the "scandal"? Do you know why those videos are always so tightly edited when you can have 10 minutes of free space on youtube and then let the public decides?

Why is that? Do you have an answer? I do.

I will play the opposite just for fun.  It could be that people get bored easily and just showing the highlight will get more views.   Maybe the reporter hit a nerve with his last question.

The real answer is it's politics.  You are under a microscope on everything you do.  If you are going to run for president wether or not you are a front runner, it makes you news.    And a 30 second blip is easy  for most news outlets to put into show. Politicians I think are use to having every answer fact checked, every move watched.   It's part of the politics game.
11251  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to exchange RMB to USD in USA as a Foreigner? on: April 11, 2015, 03:29:42 PM
I have worked in China since last January. Now i got transfer to United States.

I want to exchange some Chinese Yuan (RMB) to US Dollars.

Which bank offer such fast service to foreigner?

Most banks will do this.  If you have a account with a bank you have a better chance of having higher limits of exchanging cash.

And when you fly into the US look at the international airport as some will have places to change your cash.  But a bank chances are will give you a better rate, but the airport exchanges are convenient if your  international airport has one.
11252  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I can earn from the Signature campaign? on: April 11, 2015, 03:26:38 PM
The truth is you won't earn a ton with a brand new account.  Just is to many accounts that might be a alt and you are not able to have as big of sig as higher ranks.

Once member and above I would highly suggest joining one.  It is nice to make a little btc for posting you would do anyways.  Only thing to be careful is do not spam, or post one liners with a sig campaign as it will get you a temp ban most likely.
11253  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Top 5 Bitcoin Wallets on Android on: April 11, 2015, 03:23:29 PM
With a phone wallet I could just be paranoid.  But I see it as a wallet to keep a little BTC, but not a substantial amount.

And you can use a app that shows BTC balances, and check your wallets without having access to them.  This way you can see the big wallets without touching them, or risking them.
11254  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: s3 problem , why moving ? on: April 11, 2015, 03:16:31 PM
you need a plus head screw driver +
we don't know the nature of that thing so we can't say pull or do that or that...
screwdriver and do it!

It's hard to see in video to low of quality.  Can't see if cable or what it is.

Get a philips screwdriver as said above and open it up  and see what it is.    No it is not normal to have something jump in-front of the PCIe slots.
11255  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New Bitmain Products? S4+ and S7? on: April 11, 2015, 03:13:24 PM
It's all speculation.  As far as I know Bitmain has not made a announcement.

But if you read forums people say they know they are being released.    So far most/all have been wrong on timeframe.

With BTC price I don't see a huge rush from any companies on next gen.   I think they will go a little slower and more efficient with money.
11256  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Newest Diff thread April 5 to April 18th on: April 11, 2015, 03:10:29 PM
Bitwisdom:

Bitcoin Difficulty:    49,446,390,688
Estimated Next Difficulty:    49,032,386,045 (-0.84%)
Adjust time:    After 1119 Blocks, About 8.0 days

It's a little higher than phil's earlier post.  We will see if trend goes up slowly.   Hopefully it changes and goes back down.
11257  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Do you think mining will be profitable again ? on: April 11, 2015, 03:08:12 PM
I don't think the price will rise again :/

It will I think.  Just is going to be a slow upwards movement.  I don't think we will just jump to 1k overnight though.

Also I think it will be interesting to see what halving does to price.  I think in long run next halving could help price, but temporarly hurt miners.
11258  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain lost password on: April 11, 2015, 07:04:28 AM
P.S. As you have access yo your email and 2FA, there is a chance for recovering your wallet by contacting support.

Get with support as suggested. I think with showing you have 2FA still it will help your cause.

Can I ask why do you have just a list of 150 passwords?  You really need to invest into some password management.
11259  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Do you think mining will be profitable again ? on: April 11, 2015, 06:56:21 AM
it also depends on WHAT you mine. Say what you will about altcoins, they provide a way to mine something and then trade that for bitcoins.
Is it easy to sell altcoin that is easy to mine ?

Not exactly.

Try using https://www.coinwarz.com

There are many different altcoins that are changing difficulty and market value.

Coinwarz is a great site.  Only thing is difficulty and price change quickly on some coins.

I suggest looking into multipools with BTC payout if you are wanting to mine alt sha coins.  That being said you would be better off with mining BTC in a lot of cases.  Or renting and bringing in even more.
11260  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: April 11, 2015, 06:19:22 AM
hi marco!!!
can you explicit list in OP,
the valid board for signature campaign???
many thanks!

The valid boards/threads are all boards/threads that aren't listed in the excluded boards/thread bit.

...for "altcoin boards."

do you mean "Alternate cryptocurrencies" and all his child boards?
I mean

Altcoin Discussion
Announcements (Altcoins)
Mining (Altcoins)
Pools (Altcoins)
Marketplace (Altcoins)
Service Announcements (Altcoins)
Service Discussion (Altcoins)

are all disqualified???

All Alt-Currency boards. This may change end of April when a new campaign launches.

ok thanks!!!!

As a miner I would love if Altcoin boards get included.  But I can understand with less traffic why you currently don't.

Do you have a ball park of when we need to provide address, and when cards will be shipped out? (I only ask as I'm excited to hopefully try one out).
