11241  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Quickseller escrowing for himself on: September 10, 2015, 10:45:14 AM
This thread really proves that none can be trusted. Dint get still why QS has to lie about it and escrow his own deal using an alt. He lost all his reputation in seconds and on top he charged his escrow fee too? Is it all the facts he has been stating about an escrow ensures safety and people should trust it flushed out completely? I'm speechless.

It's better if he discards his thread in the Currency Exchange section. Makes no sense now "Trade with caution: Use Escrow".

And Tomatocage has done the same and he even left a good rating on his other alt account when the trade happened, he should get a negative trust rating aswell.

edit: i see he actually got a neg trust rating and wardrick decided to give him a positive trust rating, pretty suspicious.

I don't get the positive rating left on the accounts but however, I guess TC has accepted way back that he did in. Contradicting this, QS dint accept that and kept lying about it. He collected the escrow fee as well which makes it even worse.

Self escrowing is not a good practise if one does believe in such things. If the other party doesn't trust you, you can't start escrowing your own deal and then charge a fee to make it look legit. People who believe in self escrowing and then lying about it is all fine, I have no words except that's too immature. Scamming or not scamming is not the case here but it's the case of being an honest person who one can trust. A LIAR cannot be trusted whatsover.
11242  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tomatocage is a scammer on: September 09, 2015, 08:35:26 PM
Having an alt doesn't make a person look shady. If you have no proof to submit here, it's better to close the thread or else prove anyone person who has been scammed by TC.

It was never proven that I ever scammed any person. So, why do I have -ve ? -ve is given on beliefs & imagination, not proof.

This thread is about TC being a scammer or not and that too without proof. You were given a rating which requires no proof while a scam accusation thread needs to have a proof on the basis of which a person can be termed as a scammer.
11243  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is escrowing for yourself using a secret alt OK? on: September 09, 2015, 08:23:07 PM

forum doesnt even ban scammers...

but scammers shouldnt be on defaulttrust level 1
thats why i think everybody who thinks escrowing for himself is ok shouldnt be on defaulttrust.

That's why I said it's WRONG and also unethical to do so. Escrows here are defining their own set of rules and what service needs to be used for the betterment of members and make them feel safe, the service is now looking shady itself. Hope other escrows learn from this and stop doing it.

Edit: I don't find a reason to have escrows on the DT list as they tend to leave a rating for those members who they have escrowed for.

It's not against the rules but it's definitely WRONG to do it no matter what's the reason behind it. If an escrow does it, he definitely is not trustworthy and nobody should trust him either.

which rules?
dictionary says third party? do we need a special dictionary for bitcointalk to redefine words?

I'm talking about this forum rules. It can't earn any member a ban if they escrow for themselves.

Really? I mean this is the third time he has been removed from the DT list. I've never heard of another member being added and removed so many times. He's made a record  Roll Eyes

Yeah and this time I don't think he will be re-added, due his behavior and lies.

Just checked his trust rating is Huh. I can't take he escrowed a deal for himself but don't know if there's any truth in it too. He just dug his own grave else he was one of a trusted an popular members out here. However, I trust BB more and if he feels QS isn't trustworthy, he is and the decision is right there.
11249  Other / Meta / Re: Negative You were scammed or you strongly believe that this person is a scammer on: September 09, 2015, 07:31:14 PM
Trust abuse can be claimed by anyone and there's no specific definition for it. Even Theymos has said the same and hence it's upto the member to leave a ratng that he may feel accurate. Not necessary the member who has been given the rating and other members who have witnessed it may feel the same and hence it can be a trust abuse according to them.

Also, I've noticed that quite many of your ratings are accurate. Being a DT member, you shouldn't mind if anyone does criticize your ratings as you hold some responsibility for your ratings as they are trusted.  Smiley

11251  Other / Meta / Re: Default trust on: September 07, 2015, 07:03:18 PM
The easiest way to earn a default trust position is to leave negative ratings on all known or unknown scammers. Then the DT members would trust your ratings and add you to the DT list. Another way is to be active in the lending section and that earns you a position pretty quickly. Trading barely holds any importance as it is necessary that the members in DT level 1 should add you to their list and if a member trades with them or uses their escrow services, earning a position in the DT list is tough.

11254  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Neteller/Skrill Reversible Questions on: September 06, 2015, 10:04:37 AM
So neteller is only reverisible if someone else uses someone elses neteller acct for the transaction?  What if its the person who uses their own neteller acct?  Could they contact neteller and have it reversed or only if its fraud such as someone else using their neteller account.

Just image if some one want to scam you then first they will send money and later if they claim my account was hacked and I did not authorize that transaction means still amount can be reversed right?

They need to contact Nettler to do a charge back. Neteller will check the account for any unauthorized activity (IP address change or multiple attempts to login) and then will take a decision but there have not been many complaints compared to PP chargebacks.
11255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: September 05, 2015, 08:27:17 PM
Gambling isn't a way to grow your bitcoin. It is very risky and if you can get a lot of profit in seconds, the next moment it's all gone. It's better to participate in signature campaigns and/or earn it by doing small jobs which earn a decent bounty like 0.1-0.5 BTC. Lending BTC also is a safe option to gain a decent interest of 10% or more in a week's time.

I think the risk started when we trusted using bitcoin. We know that anytime exchange rate maybe up to 280 few hours more it will be 220 but we still keep BTC

Yeah true but if we compare bitcoin and gambling, there is a vast difference between the two. Gambling soon becomes an addiction but bitcoins don't. Gambling is like you completely lose or completely win (in one trade/bet) while in bitcoin the person gets atleast half of his investment back. If the price falls from $280-$220, he atleast gets $220 back and if he waits, he may even earn profit. In gambling, it's not the case.
11256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: September 05, 2015, 06:08:28 PM
Gambling is illegal in some countries and hence it's wrong for sure. The reason being obvious is that people start getting addicted to this game and then keep investing all their earnings to earn profit. It becomes a habit which is dangerous. Those who have managed to earn profit only are lucky while the others are unfortunate.

11258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want human body parts and organs to be bought & sold with Bitcoin? on: September 05, 2015, 03:49:39 PM
If Bitcoin is considered as MONEY, then definitely people will use it while trading may it be for any thing like body parts as well. There are many people who need money in an emergency and selling or buying kidneys will be an option for them but I doubt they'll use bitcoins rather than REAL CASH.
