Is there no way to export your wallet from trezor (or ledger, etc)? Seems like for that amount of money I would rather send it from a wallet on my computer. Like how would you access your funds if the company closed? This is a good question I have been using trezor for years. I have 3 of them gray white black and I use them to organize multiple wallets with multiple partners. When doge mooned on the 28th of jan I was not prepped. My binance.us account only allowed 5000 usd withdrawal in a day. So I did not want to send all 700,000 doge as it would of been 2 x 700,000 = 14k and I was not sure I could get approved for withdrawal over 5000 I had tried a few times the last 2 months and had issues with photo acceptance. Yeah in theory I could have sold these 700,000 for as high as 56k. But a few things were going against it happening that way. I did sell 450,000 and get 18k I had sold 300,000 on the early Jan rally and got 5k so I got 23k out of a 2500 investment with 250,000 coins not cashed worth 7500. To think things like: I should have fixed my binance.us account to handle bigger money. I should have hodl the whole million coins on binance with 500,000 at 7 cents and 500,000 at 8 cents giving me 75k score is silly. I could have done that and binance gets hacked. I could of done that, but set sells at 2 cents and 3 cents. this would be 25k and zero coins left who would think that setting the million at 2 and 3 cents would have been dumb. It does show me I now need to evaluate My coin storage better. I did set up binance.us fully I have coinbase setup fully. So cashing large money is no longer an issue. I am debating what rig to do LTC, BTC, DOGE wallets on. I think I will pull a 3060ti off 1 rig move it to my 1 card 3090 rig. I then will use that rig to run 3 core wallets. I have a 1tb nvme.2 ssd in it and 64gb Ram so it will download wallets fast. It already has an unused synched BTC wallet. I will copy the nvme.2 ssd to 2 back ups and het this set up over the next few days. |

I sold 300,000 for 5100usd early runup in early jan. I sold 450,000 for 18000 usd from Jan 28 to Feb 2. So I have 23100 usd from about a 2500 usd investment or a 20600 profit. And I still have 250,000 doge . So in my book both doge and ltc qualify for your merit give away. Not many other coins that I can think of off hand. Maybe no other coins. Certainly no coin wrapped in defi with eth. As I said what happens to eth if the sole leader dies. |

This gear will be leaving my home in April and going into a large warehouse with a ton of fans. 18000 cfm out of the mining room and 19000 com into the room. Risers are simply a poor choice that many go for thinking they are good. My rigs run for years with zero issues. Trouble shooting these rigs is basically instant (under 5 minutes) Try finding a bad riser on a 13 card rig that crashes the rig intermittently. 1 usb cable out of the 13 is bad and it does it on and off. you lost the hash of 13 cards on and off till you find the problem. |

This has been talked about for years and it was always the same answer by almost everyone. It is not "impossible" for bitcoin to be there, it is totally doable and I would definitely assume the price would be there eventually one day, maybe 20 years later, maybe 30 but it will be there one day. However at the current levels, we are not looking at anything remotely that way, it is impossible for price to be there anytime soon.
The reason why people ask these questions is the fact that the amount of satoshis they have is very little, maybe few thousand, maybe tens of thousands but that's about it, it is always the people we do not have over 1+ bitcoin, that means they hope that if one day 1 satoshi equals 1 dollars, then they could get rich and that is how they could profit from it, and they know as long as bitcoin is under 200-300k that means even if it goes up to 200k, they are not going to be rich.
This is pretty accurate. If you tag inflation into the picture I think in 10 years or so the dollar will be worth 50 cents. btc will at worst match inflation so 37k becomes 74k I think in 20 years or so the dollar will be worth 25 cents. btc will at worst match inflation so 74k becomes 148k the world wealth in dollar terms will be 300-400 trillion now btc is .227% .681trillion/300 trillion so if btc can gain to 1% of the world worth in a month it becomes 4.4 x bigger or 2.996 trillion or 161,128 a coin even if that happens and it goes 2x in ten years for inflation it is 322256 usd in 2031. and 644512 usd in 2041 I do think it can grow to 1% or the world wealth over the next 2-3 years But my earlier posts show that it needs to growth to 50% of the world wealth by 2041 and inflation of 4x from now until then to reach 23 cents a sat. I would guess it will never reach 5% of the worlds wealth but lets look at gold it is 7.3 to 10 trillion so 10/300 = 3.3% high number 7.3/400 1.825% low number. if btc is .227% of the worlds wealth and gold is 3.3% of the worlds wealth then the question becomes can btc reach 3.3% of the worlds wealth in 20 years I would say yes it can. and if the world is worth 1200 trillion in 2041 and btc is 3.3% of the worlds wealth then btc = 39.6 trillion or 39,600,000,000,000/19500000 = 2,030,769 so the high number I get for 2041 is 2,030,769 a coin which is 2 cents a sat. |

These boards do everything the onda dp1800 does. 2 differences are cpu cooler is different the boot ringer is very loud. I knew they were clones so I wanted to wait till I got the 9 before I ordered 9 more. USA still has trump tax on China so I did not order 18 on the first shot. I like these you can mount 3 cards with perfect spacing and use a 750 or 850 watt psu. if you use smos a 2gb stick of ram works. I have 1 board using 2gb stick of ram I have 1 board using 4gb stick of ram I have 1 board using 8gb stick of ram If you do a 3 card and don't use any add on riser you can cut mounting board shorter. Six it has 6 slots if you do a three card and alternate you have 3 spare slots. Lastly since it is a Celeron 3900 cpu if you fit 6 gpus say low power amd 5500 xt the cpu will struggle a bit. I usually build 3 long cards and a short one on the end. Or just 3 cards. very easy to cool. and cheaper 750 or 850 watt psus work. More detail on the clone aspect a Chinese clone of gear is common.
You do not want a 50 dollar clone of a 500 dollar item the clone will suck .
but this was 70 dollar clone of a 110 dollar item and so far I see no down sides. |

Right now my nvidia 3090 rig is 9217 good and 74 bad pointed to California 124 to 1 ratio
and my 3 card amd asus rig is 4742 good and 51 bad pointed to California 92 to 1 ratio
and my 4 card mixed amd rig is 24365 good and 251 bad point to California. 97 to 1 ratio
So run you gear a few days and see if you get closer to 90 good and 1 bad ratio
mine range from 92 to 1 up to 124 to 1
The evga 3090 is 2 days old and maybe is better since it is 1 card vs 3 or 4 cards
It is also on a better mobo with a better cpu a better eth jack
Maybe it is better due to being a nvidia vs an amd. But all numbers above are good.
If you 78 - 9 continues to 7800-900 it would be 8.6 to 1. which is terrible. But give it some time to see what it does when you are over 1000 or 2000 shares

And yes, I clearly understand this as gambling.However, it seems hard to find actual (recent) information on solo mining, particularly risks involved. So my question is: Assuming I join solo.ckpool.org for solo mining, what risks are still present *except* - the money I spend in hardware (including breakage) - the money I spend in power ? I am not looking at altcoins at this point because the dominance is very high above 70%, so the possibility of altcoins not going up is very high.
but from cmc or coingecko I see that some altcoins have also experienced very high increases even though btc domination is very high.
such as eth, doge, ltc, bnb, and others.
doge which has the highest increase in recent days because, elon musk said doge on his twitter account and made a very large fomo.

I have always supported the op and builder of the ltc miner I still have two of them.
And since I hit a pair of blocks of doge about 20,000 doge. I decided to hodl doge.
On Jan 1 2021 I had 1,000,000 doge. mostly because of these two little miners purchased years ago.
I purchased 10gh of l3+ miners and the op gave free firmware that lowers the watts used on L3+ gear saving me a lot of watts since 2018.
of the 1,000,000 doge i had this jan 1 i sold 300000 at 5100 and I sold 450000 at 18000
a grand total of 23000 usd.
I mined about 260000 doge with his gear and the L3+
I converted some of the ltc that the l3+ mined. to get that 1,000,000 doge.
So 23,000 usd and still 250,000 doge coins in hand all sparked by his moonlander then his apollo.
So to say his Btc miner won’t do well is kind of short sighted.

paying about 9 cent an mh at viabtc.
so the 3090 I just hooked up is 113x0.09 = $10.17 a day. It burns 320 watts (whole 1 card rig) or 7.68 kwatts make it 8 kwatts. My winter power cost is 10 cents so 80 cents in power make it $1.17 my card is clearing 10.17-1.17 = $9.00 a day
230 days = 2070 which was what I paid for it.

Well the computer/mining goods section no longer has much action for a lot of reasons.
Gpus are unobtainable everywhere unless you over pay by a lot.
So when I listed a new sealed quality gpu at a 100 usd markup.
600 vs 500 no one wanted it. This could be a sign of a larger issue with the availability of GPU equipment versus demand. ... That would be nice to think. But the card is listing from 829 to 1129 on ebay. A new sealed one with an invoice for six hundred should be jumped on. It was not. Basically the buyers don’t come to the site like they used to do. I actually thought I was being generous with the offer I made. As I said I just mined with it for the last 20 days and have earned back 4 a day. It will be paid off in around 105 days. Maybe I will sell it then. |
