Officially (according to the creators) it is BCC but it is listed as BCH on exchanges that already use BCC for other alts - but as mentioned BitcoinCash will replaced BCC as it seems to have bigger demand and bigger volume. Poor BitConnect ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

If you believe in ETH, then hold (for years). The price will continue to increase. A drop from $400 to $200 isn't much really, when you think it's not so long ago that ETH was $10. No coin rises continuously without ever falling back. Plus the reason for the recent drop was much more because of bitcoin than anything else, and it affected the whole market.
Good advice for almost any of the more serious alts. They're all in good, reasonable entry prices now - even ETH. It's very likely to reach its ATH again so if you get in now, you stand to make double if you are patient. If you want to gamble, use cheap eth to buy even cheaper ICO tokens. There are so many of them around. But not recommended as investment!

So... did anyone get any dividends from Masternodes? It was 1 August today. Checked the website and Masternode sections but didn't notice anything different. Care to share, my rich BROsters? Make us happy.

WHALES always manage to do that to us. They pump the prices high and we buy in at a high. If we can harness the power of the masses, identify good coins to speculate and hype it together and get rich together, why not?
Because... as you notice yourself, pumps are not sustainable. The only aim is to make money, not to really increase value of the alt. The whales do it to you, and you want to group together... like a crowdwhale, and do it to others. If you're okay with the wrongness of that, then okay and wish you the best.

I didn't trade any BTC to alts. I'll never do that! But I have no issue earning other alts or exchanging some loose BTC on exchanges for alts over the months (to save on transfer or when I don't have enough for minimum WD).
As a result, my alt holdings: ETH Doge Dash

Thanks for sharing. I must have tried so many already but after a while each seems to get outdated or slow loading. I understand the feeds from hundreds will always mean slow pages but I honestly hate waiting for everything to load with each page.

Most of the critics aginst EOS coin is relevant to 99% of the rest ico's. Lets check how long scam hyps last... well around 3-4 monts right?! So it is too early to decide. Beside this the team looks serious, the conception regarding business is applyable, the technology behind seems promosing and they got the best code of several coins. The last is, if you don't like it buy fitness brecelet like this you will know that there are 263 steps to pastry.
The thing is, it will be a 1-year wait AT LEAST to decide if EOS is a scam. We are talking about hundreds of days of ICO, raking in the money. The team is serious... so? Dogecoin team was not serious but it proved more viable than 90% of alts. The technology behind it? EOS is a proven clone of its dev's previous project with the codes only changing the name of the files (github).

Well, first ETH got so much movement in value because of all the ETH tokens from ICOs. I am beginning to see a few more WAVES platform tokens than usual. Perhaps once it catches on, it will move towards ATH again, but will take a while and more slippage I think.
|
|
|
The worst thing about EOS is that as it keeps getting "lower" it keeps looking attractive to new investors, since the belief is that it can recover. So there's more money poured into it, helping sustain the pumps on a daily basis, and allowing the founders to reap their riches patiently.

I don't see this as a threat at all simply because of the fact that the crypto space is so large
I'm not speaking of crypto projects, rather the trading of the cryptocurrencies. What's taking place at the present time in the latter is child's play compared to the traditional financial markets. When enough well funded hedge funds with highly skilled algo programmers and traders invade the crypto space, the competition will become an entirely different space than what now exists. Read up on HFT and you'll get an inkling. My question to Target Fund managers is what makes them think they can compete with some of the participants mentioned in the Forbes article? Some of those guys are heavyweights. Hey, the team at Target Coin has a combined experience of over 20+ years in investing and trading. Our team has also managed a $25 Mn hedge fund focused on equities and forex and have generated 38% YoY returns. About Forbes article, they are more focused on long-term investments in promising cryptos with a heavy 50% performance fee. And Forbes is writing an article on us too soon. Forbes is a big name, but their own performance and rating is beginning to be questionable these days. Remember they featured a lot of dead scams already. But still, being featured is a good thing and brings recognition. Looking forward to seeing it.

Think we really need to be listed on another exchange very badly. CryptoDAO is not responsive for one, the volume there is too thin for another. Also, I did my captcha yesterday more than 3 times... and only checked today to see that there was no activity.

Don't be thinking that this low price is good entry, especially when it is below ICO. Good entry is when the cards start to come and you see a change of pace, more updates, less excuses. Don't give more money to this thing until it proves itself.

I see a lot of coins without purpose to exist. To be a coin or a token with future is necessary that coin have a REAL purpose to exist like tokens that are created to distribute solar energy or real inovative technologies like Tangle and etc...
Obs: be more fast or more secure or more private that Bitcoin is not a very REAL purpose to exist and these coins that are trynig to be a "substitute" of Bitcoin as a currency will fail. Bitcoin have a very big network power that give real valor and security to the network, and reach these network power levels is not easy and is not by the day to the night.
When i say coins without purpose im saiding that coins that are created just to be a currency and nothing more (just with a fell idiots increases like be more fast or secure)
That's the price of anarchy isn't it? Or freedom, if you put it that way. All of the coins created have their own stated purpose. Whether it's real or not doesn't seem to have much impact with alts. I want to build a new project. I'll create a new token.

literally the second I can dump my SNM tokens for what I paid for them I am going to.... such a terrible investment. Wish I had these funds back so I could put it to a real project like PPT and Monkey Capital.
Actually SONM is much more a "real project" than PPT and Monkey Capital. The real lesson here is, there's no point in investing in ICOs for a quick buck based on how "real" the project is. Investments are gambles, and risky. You wanna gamble, bet on ICOs not based on project but on ability of team to manipulate price.

Offering BCC for BTC you own is not really the same as supporting BCC. Supporting BCC means you will open an exchange for it. This move is to prevent customers from withdrawing BTC. Exchanges will prefer their volumes to remain.
|
|
|
Are we really sure that we will see BCC? So far BTC doing fine and everything will be fine as it was expected.. Why people believe that BCC can become something special because it won't be different from any other altcoin..PnD will be provided as welcomes, but as soon as whales finishes their games, it will be forgotten..
I guess they already know this. They saw what happened to ETC and know that they will end up the same way. The whales will make their money and BTC will become even more concentrated at the few. But BCC will go on, low key but valuable.

What does everybody think? What is the smart way to go to enter alt market at a good price during the next few days?
The smartest way is not to enter a market at such an unpredictable/volatile period. Trading is somewhat a gamble anyway, but should be based on sound analysis. If the sound analysis cannot find strong leaning, then don't enter. Wait first and see.

So after the successful token distribution... but once again token holders are left to wonder what hit them. Even TrueFlip token holders will be wondering the same, as TF is supposed to use a protocol provided by DAO. Two ICOs, a lot of money raised, and investors already at a loss. Let's hope the development happens quickly and funds used for more than the travelling for talks.

Altcoins are the future, whether you like it or not. But a sweeping statement like that is not useful. Rather, the future of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin are linked to alts. Look at what Litecoin's Segwit success did to help make it faster for Bitcoin.

Where I will find that "id" you are talking about? I just have address of my wallet where I send it.
I follow SiaCoin every now and then but yes I hate the explorers of most alts. Try this other explorer explorer.siahub.info. User this: (replace ABC with your address) see if it works. https://explorer.siahub.info/hash/Also, check that you got the Polo withdrawal confirmation email.
