Would be nice, if we went sideways on the 35k level for a while Cheesy not this stupid 30k/31k ... to nearby at the 2xk levels Cheesy this stresses. A middle 3xk would be more calming Cheesy

For all intents and purposes, there is hardly any difference in terms of going sideways in the lower $30ks or going sideways in the middle $30ks.

Works for me. 32-33k day after day
11363  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Q: Most reliable SHA-256 Asic Miners on: January 27, 2021, 02:49:06 AM
it is amazing how i managed to be 17 for 17 on my s17pros. still all work just fine.

s9s were good in general.
if he could score a841 he would like them.

with his 2.5 cent power i would look for gear that can shift psus

s9 ,a841, a921 would all work well with the psu 7empest sells.
11364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Planning to build a new rig on: January 27, 2021, 02:43:13 AM
I have some other rigs running but I am looking to building another rig  so help me to choose the best setup for mining, 2x RX5500XT or a single RX5700XT? Which one will be better in return of investment wise, energy consumption and cost
I prefer lower power graphics cards because they have very few overheating problems and are more stable. But that doesn't mean you should buy any RX5500XT.
The RX5500XT 8GB will probably be easier to sell later, because they are cheaper and will suit many gamers.
The perfect middle is the RX5600XT.

Doesn't make sense to me because 2x RX5500XT is equal to a RX5700XT and the power is as follows

RX5500XT = 54 watts power draw mining ETH ( 2x = 108 watts)
RX5700XT =  91 - 100 watts power draw mining ETH

It's fairly the same thing and a RX5700XT still use 4MH to triumph over 2x RX5500XT

I just purchased two 5500 8gb cards for 209 each total 418.

So if you find a pair 5500 8gb cheaper than 1 5700 it makes perfect sense.

my 5500 comes on the 28th.

the truth is short term

5500 8gb shipped quick at a good price are fine.

5600 6gb shipped quick at a good price are fine

5700 8gb shipped quick at a good price are fine..

same for

nvidia 3060ti shipped quick at a good price
nvidia 3070. shipped quick at a good price
nivdia 3080.  shipped quick at a good price.

all six above are worth getting if the price is good and you get them by jan 31 or feb 1

Hey you all. It turns out that my spare battery were also dead. Got a new one and everything works fine now. Thanks for the tip of looking into the date/hour, it helped a lot. Ty all for the help.

Gave you a merit for your follow up. Continue to post and you will become a jr member.

I  read thread over again and realized wouldn't it be nice if people behaved and acted like this all the time.

I decided everyone deserved a merit.

HWInfo version 6.42 can now also display the GDDR6X temperatures

Guys pls share results..

Would that be GPU memory junction temperature ?

yeah I loaded 6.4.2 and don't see a number claiming to be ram temp.

but I have access to a 3060ti which uses gddr6

26 in a row all of 2021 right across the board.

lets just keep filling these mofos in one day at a time.
11369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: January 26, 2021, 11:18:31 PM

no they all are power in.

I do the seasonic focus 850watt psu and connect to all 3 satas 2 cables I double it up but don't connect 2 consecutive slots with gpu's so no cable melt   and all 3x 4 pin Molex

this is the psu

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/seasonic-focus-gx-850-850w-80-gold-psu-full-modular-fan-control-in-fanless-silent-cooling-mode-10-yr-warranty-black/6414265.p?skuId=6414265

it has 3 molex and 2 sata cables.

since I know I alternate the gpu's on that board overload of the cables does not happen.

makes for a compact build of

3x 3080's. .......................................700watts at wall you must set to 205 watts on smos if you do 3 of these. ideally if you want 3x 3080's a 1000 or 1200 watt psu set to 220 watts is better.

 or 3x 3080tis ...................................500watts at wall
or 3x 5700xt with a short 5600xt .........550 watts at  wall

oh I grabbed that 5500 xt from b&H thanks.

Thanks for the info Phil.  I might want to try one of these builds.  I'm slowly trying to get a nice 3000 series rig going but we all know how hard it is to get those cards.  I got lucky and have a 3060ti that's supposed to arrive tomorrow and another one on Friday.  It would be nice to not have to deal with risers.  Keep me in mind if you do decide to sell off some of your stock of those boards.

Curious why the 4th card has to be short though

well on a 3x5700 1x5600 build

that build allows all cards to breath

on a 3 card 3060ti

slot 1 3060ti
slot 2 blank
slot 3 3060ti
slot 4 blank
slot 5 3060ti
slot 6 blank

the 3060ti is nice in that you effectively have spare pcie slots

3 card onda d1800 builds are very stable and  compact
11370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: January 26, 2021, 09:02:58 PM
Yeah the only hope I have is no one gets very much gear and price is driven upwards long enough to match diff.

It may be we get the 6-9 months os good profits.

Adding gear may be next to impossible for most anyone.

I would think this could be a good thing and keep profits up 🆙.

I now have more space and power.
I have 400 amps at 240 volts and a new space.

I can do 70kwatts easy. I got some onda d1800 boards coming on the 28th.

I could do 3x 3060ti on a board and do 100 boards no problem.

Biggest issue is getting cards. Maybe it is a good thing.

Just add a few cards a month when they show up.

Question about the Onda board Phil.  If you're only going to use 3 slots, do you still have to connect all the power inputs?  It looks like the three SATA is power in and the molex is power out?

no they all are power in.

11372  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Q: Most reliable SHA-256 Asic Miners on: January 26, 2021, 08:19:34 PM
I tested a851/a852 they sucked do not get them.

a841 are very good.

and s9 is good.

my single a921 was better then the a851 i had.

if you have a deal for the a921 and have 240 volt power there is a seller of really good psu in the marketplace.

it will do 2400 watts at plat levels.

7empest is the seller.

11374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 3080 or RTX 3090 ? on: January 26, 2021, 05:18:50 PM
Hi there,

First of all, sorry for my english, it's not my first language.

I'm reading a lot of posts and i try to learn a lot about mining.

I'm going to try and i'm actually looking at some GPUs on Aliexpress.

The only thing is, i don't know what to choose between RTX 3080 and RTX 3090. I could invest for 6 GPUs and i will have an electricity cost of 0.14 € / KWH.

Nicehash show me a record around 8-900 $ / Month for this configuration.

What do you guys think ?

Thank you very much, i would appreciate your help Smiley

Dont mine unless you get a card at a cheap price right away.

we are having inflated mining profits. once they get closer to normal these cards wont be that good.
11375  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: January 26, 2021, 04:10:11 PM
They did message me some months ago stating that the Chinese government was going to tax BTC, so they were considering moving the farm to Iran, I said , no thank you and asked to ship my miners, which they did, 28 of them without power cords, Ha.

One of their farms had stopped hashing months ago but a second one was working as of the 1st of January.

Too bad, other than that I had had good experience with them.

I purchased

 1 m3
10 m10s
2 m20s
1 m21s

most from them.

They were okay maybe a 6 or 7 of 10 for me.
11376  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S19pro review. now open. on: January 26, 2021, 01:25:39 PM
you mentioned "firmware rather than bitmain shitware would help the gear."

I tried to find a firmware for my S19Pro but can't find anything available yet! while I can see some of the pools are giving me way less than others ( comparing between pools by connecting every 2 in a different pool).

I don't know how you did the test or what pools you tested.

Variance is possible. At the moment no one has issued aftermarket firmware.
11377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BIOS is not saving configs!? on: January 26, 2021, 01:16:25 PM

I am asking mods to move this to alt coins as it is a gpu mining question.

I think the battery is dead. most mobos have this battery

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00304ZLFC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?

they go dead and bios does not stay saved.

Did you save the old battery?

Test it for power.

Really clean the battery socket. Qtips and alcohol.

It could be oxidized a bit.

Clean the new battery with alcohol and q-tips.

So the new bond needs to be a fuck and suck machine.

Spoiler Alert: She lesbian now.

It just gets better and better.

Bet you the next one is gonna be a transgender lesbian black/asian disabled dwarf.

A hot Malaysian boy/girl might work.

I been married for 34 years and prefer my wife over any bed partner, but Bob from the planet Anus may be working on a coup using a hot Malaysian boy/girl to convert older guys like me.

Spoiler Alert: She lesbian now.

works for me. it is the most essential part of the character.

she could be bi les or straight. but needs to get lots of bed action.
