Even the pins to the far left in your second pic?  There is solder there, but nothing is connected (looks like there might have been a pin there as I can see something in the connector but it might have broke off as nothing is there and nothing is soldered except some left over solder).  I don't have another rise, the card works in the 16x slot and I also tried plugging the riser into the 16x slot and card was still not recognized.

Hey sal002,

The pins at the end aren't required either because they are not being used for anything, its only utilized in full length 16x-16x risers. The PCB trails from these pins shouldn't connect to anything either.

You'll probably need to short the PCI-E detection pins on your motherboard as this is usually a motherboard dependent requirement.

Here's a great write up that Marc Bevand did awhile back on how to do this.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or would like to do a quick IM chat session to troubleshoot!

Can you ship 16x 16x extenders on the 24th, which were already ordered last week?
Yes, definitely! Your order will be shipped out as per the shipping date when your order placed!

It's just our manufacturer is having trouble keeping up with our production demands so I'm looking at bringing in another manufacturer as well. Hopefully we'll have production sorted soon!
1143  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: FS: Powered PCI-E Risers and Dual PSU Adapters - HashRateStore on: May 23, 2013, 01:27:05 AM
Just placed a second order.  Quality of the first cables was great!

I see the 16x extenders are on back order- hopefully not too long.

Thanks Again!

Awesome! Got your order on the store!  Smiley

Will let you know as soon as we get more 16x extenders in!

Thanks Madkind.....

Hashrate...did you get my email Huh?
Yup! Your shipping address was updated.  Smiley
1145  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: FS: Powered PCI-E Risers and Dual PSU Adapters - HashRateStore on: May 21, 2013, 08:37:35 PM
You see, only two cables go to the 2nd PSU. It works like the paperclip trick, but it is much safer and more convenient. You can use any ATX PSU as a secondary PSU.

Precisely! Very well put, madkind.  Smiley

Hey everyone!

After getting feedback from our customers we've just added dual power supply connectors to our store!

They use two standard 24 pin ATX connectors for connecting power supplies for super-mega-hash-rate-rigs!

Check'em out here: Dual Power Supply Adapter Cable for 24 pin ATX

Did you ship out all pending orders for the powered 1x 16 risers (I didn't get an email, so just curious).
Yes, we just made the last delivery pickup for the post office today for the remainder of our 1x-16x orders!

You should be receiving an email notification very shortly, if you PM your order number I can double check for you also.

Thanks again!

Got my email.  Can't wait to get the cable - thanks!

That's great! Just give me a shout if you have any questions or need anything else.

Thanks again, sal002!

Just received an e-mail update from HRS with huge headers stating "Your order has been completed and shipped".  However, when I log into my HRS account, it shows the item as "Backordered".  Glitch/bug?  Or did it really get shipped?  I was under the assumption 1x/16x won't be available till today and 16x/16x won't be in-stock until May 24th, the earliest.

P.S - Will tracking be available?
Hey Jayeeyee!

Yes, your order was indeed shipped a couple hours ago! We received a large shipment of 1x-16x risers and a small batch of the 16x-16x risers so we were able to fulfil some of the 16x-16x backorders.

Tracking is only available for Xpresspost or faster at the moment, but we are working on revamping our logistics system. Very soon we'll be implementing faster shipping and tracked parcels for everyone!  Cheesy

Just placed an order for 4x cables (2) 1x and (2) 16x.  Why is everything OOS!?  I'm already traumatized as it is from the BFL-nanigans!
That's great Jayeeyee!
We've just had an overwhelming response to our web store from the crypto-community but will be restocking our 1x-16x risers tomorrow and 16x-16x next week.

If you PM me your order number I can follow up and make sure everything gets shipped out in a timely manner.

Thanks!

did anyone recieved any cable from hashrate store?
are they legit?

Got my order from them in on Saturday (5-10) after placing it on 5-3 at like 10PM CST.  Installed a couple of cables in a rig last night, seem to perform well and the quality looks good, got them in less than half the time at not much more than Chinese non-powered extenders from eBay.

FYI The order was only for 10 cables so your mileage may vary on a larger order.

I am likely to order from them again in the next week or so if I continue to expand.

Thats good to hear, Jacob!

We also provide express shipping, just not on the web site at the moment. If you need it sooner send us an email at info@hashrateproducts.com and we'll be able to accomodate!

Placed an order on the evening of Friday the third and got it on sat the 10th.

Quality looks good and shipping was fast- I'll be back!
Thanks again, Jacob!

Just let us know if you have any questions or need anything else!
1153  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: PCI-e 1x to 16x powered riser cables in the Czech Republic? on: May 13, 2013, 09:50:45 PM
Anyone know where I can source a couple of these in the CZ, picked up locally in Brno would be ideal. Also looking for PCI-e 16x riser cables as well.

Trying to move my cards around to improve air flow.

Hey Miracek,

We just launched our web store for mining hardware and have shipped quite a few orders to CZ with our flat rate shipping.

Feel free to send me an email if you have any questions! alfred@hashrateproducts.com

Update to my purchase!

Got them in the mail the other day!  Works like a charm and shipping is a lot better/faster then ordering from other sources!

I see you are sold out, are you still expecting new stock on May 14th? Also, do you add the Molex connector on yourself, or do you get it from your supplier with it pre-soldered on?

The cables come with the molex from the manufacturer pre-soldered on.

And yes, the 1x-16x are just in transit right now from the manufacturer and should be here on the 14th. The 16x-16x adapters almost done production and should be here the week after!  Cheesy

Just out of curiosity, do they support pci 3.0? Or does it just go off of what ever the board supports?

Yup! They most certainly support PCI-E 3.0  Smiley

I am wonder if it is possible to run 4 cards on a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 motherboard?

And if it is.. How would that work?

I know i would have to get powered risers and raise them up..
an adequate PSU
But is that it?

Just plug them in..
Install drivers on Win 7
and go?

Yes, you're exactly correct. You should use at least one powered riser or two to be safe. Also invest in a quality power supply with more than your minimum required wattage.
I exact have the same motherboard on one of my rigs with a Corsair AX1200. Just don't forget to disable any features on the mobo in the BIOS that you dont need (firewire, sound, etc.) to save a bit more power.
