I don't think so, no. It is starting to get a bad reputation already. I think it will drop to almost $0. One silver lining to all these BTC forks is that now that they are becoming commonplace, there is less fear of them. The upcoming seg2x isn't having the same market plummet effect that we had with part 1 this summer. It is good that BTC is becoming more resilient.

Mining on laptops is a horrible idea because they’re not designed to be run at full stress 24/7 and most laptops have very bad cooling systems. The 940MX has terrible mining performance and cpu mining with anything other than XMR will usually result in tiny profits. Don’t mine with a laptop, build a desktop style rig to do that.

Unless of course you do not work in a laptop store. Then this question comes up from a completely different angle Wink
