All the waiting is over with today's final match of BPL. Comilla made a very good start. Sunil Narine has performed very well in this match as in the previous match. I hope the upcoming matches will not weaken the mentality of the Inter Milan players. This result clearly makes inter have to go through a steep road to advance to the quarterfinals. I would be very happy to see Afghanistan beat Bangladesh, because as you have rightly said Afghanistan have progressed a lot and deserve more recognition for their efforts. If stats could determine the attitude of a player then Virat Kohli should have remain the captain of Indian cricket team. If CSK is run by a mafia then there were 9 other teams that could have selected him. In the end his career is over both in international cricket and IPL. Even Sri Lanka lost this series by 3 - 0 with 2 more matches expected in next few days but still very good for them as they have very good and fighting players for better future which can help them to increase quality of this team which is badly going down recently specially after retirement of few legendary players. The second match which ends in Super Over was a good example of their fighting spirit, but sadly in the third match they lost their best player Hasaranga due to covid19 positive test, and now he is not available for the rest of the series. Pathum Nissanka a very promising young talented player with few more are not having good time in International circuit, but they still need some better domestic set up which help these youngsters for having better exposure for good form and skills. In my opinion, Sri Lankan cricket is not what it used to be before. Sri Lanka is a country which produced a lot of great players over the years. But now they are not in their prime. And I also agree that even though they have lost the series 3-0 they have done quite well in my opinion. And they were quite unlucky to miss out on one of their key players. PSG and Real Madrid look very careful in attack. I hope this match doesn't end in a draw and both teams can score goals in the second half, of course the second half will be more interesting than the first half. It doesn't seem much like a tough game to me. From the way its looking, Porto is the better team here, Lazio is good too but, I don't consider them good enough to eliminate Porto. Although, there is room for surprises but again, should you look at there domestic league, Porto is way ahead on top while, Lazio is far 8th spot. Anyway, the Serie A is by far a difficult league when matched with the Portugal's premeira. A game to watch out for would be Barcelona vs Napoli. While Barcelona still stuggles, Napoli has been at ots best and could best Barcelona still. In my opinion, Porto is obviously better than Lazio. Next 2-3 seasons we will see good impact from their big investment, but if they have to accept the reality of being relegated then things will never go well. The most important thing for them this season is to stay in the Premier League and start looking for more suitable players to fill the first team next season. If they fail to stay in the Premier League this season then the difficulty they will face in getting good players will increase. They will need some time to properly build a perfect team that can compete on tier 1. I think they should approach each season individually. For example, this season their goal should be to not get relegated. Next season maybe they can go for the top 10 placings. And maybe in the next 2 or 3 years, they might be able to go for the top 4 spots. |
