I have 3 290's that I'm looking to convert into a 280x rig

the 290's I'm running are:  Sapphire BF4 on Hynix and 2x XFX Black Edition (980 core stock) ((one is Hynix, one is Elpida))

I'm getting 900kh on the Hynix cards, and 875 on the Elpida, I can push the Hynix to 920 but WU rates drop a bit

Looking for a straight trade for 4x 280x cards.

will work with anyone to make this a legit and fair trade, also can use ebay, etc (not sure if escrow would work in this situation? but open to the possibility)

I could understand a little more than their prices, but $100 more plus having to pay for shipping ill pass.

Hey I might be very interested.

I have 3 290's (2 are XFX Black with one Hynix and one Elpida)  And the 3rd is a Sapphire BF4 Edition on Hynix
The Hynix pull around 920kh/s with the elpida around 875kh/s.  they all come with orig boxes and stuff, the sapphire is about 3 weeks old and both XFX are a week old.

obviously it wouldnt be fair for an even swap, but what kind of trade can we put together?

I've never used escrow before as this whole marketplace is new to me, but im 110% honest and legit so if escrow is preferred method that works for me.  I can also give you my facebook name and we can gmail chat, etc, etc

edit: it's funny because ive been kicking myself for not building this rig as a 280x rig as my other rig is 5x XFX 280x, so ive been debating trying to offload these on craigslist or ebay and start a hunt for more cards lol

so should I be looking to offload my rig with 5x XFX 280x?  they seem to run about 69c with a vornado fan blowing on them, turn the vornado off they they creep up mid 70c with one hitting in the 80's for some reason.

eek, that hurts.. just spend like 40 bucks on a cheap ATI card on craigslist or something

Just wanted to follow up with you guys.

I ended up selling off my 280x rig, then returned the 290x cards and then build 2 new machines with the profit from selling the 280x rig.

now I've got 2 rock solid rigs:

1:
5x XFX TDFD 280x with 760w seasonic platinum and 1000 evga g2 gold

2:
3x R9 290 (2 XFX Black edition and 1 Sapphire BF4) with the same PSU setup (760w seasonic and 1000G2)

2 of the 290's are Hynix and 1 is Elpida so I get roughly 920, 910, 870 kh/s on each card

the 280x rig are all hashing at 730 each, so my total hashing power is over 6Mh/s now

I was thinking to eventually add 2 more 290's to the second rig once I make enough to cover the cost, but the heat and noise associated with those cards is crazy.  during summer Im not sure what Im going to do with it.

Why is xfx junk? I've built my 5x 280x xfx rig that's been rock solid for a few weeks now, each at 730kh with 1.5% rejects

Just started my rigs up.

Rig 1: 2x XFX 290x and 1x Sapphire 290 (each 290x hashes at 940 with 3% reject rate, i was able to pull 980 each card but reject rate started to climb) and the 290 hashes about 880

Rig 2: 1x XFX DD 280x and 2x Gigabyte 280x that were DOA (awaiting return so I can replace) - so this rig is out of comish til I can replace the 2 gigabytes, thinking about just running the single XFX however

I ran out of money so I had to go cheap on the PSU with the Raidmax 1200AE Gold on each rig

Reading alot of reviews saying these fake gold rated PSU's are not ideal.. but It's all I could afford.  Hopefully they'll last til I break even on my investment and start earning money to replace them with better quality units.
