It's a long way back for Westham as Aston villa has made their second goal of the match with a penalty kick from Douglas Luiz  just in the 52 mins of the the game after his (Douglas) blow shot in the first half giving Villa a lead in the scoreline. For Villa it's been an excellent team work for them in this game exercise their home advantage over the visitors Westham who have only managed to get a 1 goal through a flick deflection which has somehow awaken Westham impetus in the match trying their very best now in an energetic play to equalize the scores and possibly get a come back in this game.

Up Blues, Chelsea has taken the lead after a while before the Referee was called to attention on the hand ball committed by Arsenal player inside their box. Palmer scored the penalty kick with a brilliant shot to the left corner of the post.

Chelsea has the advantage now to win Arsenal but how are we sure that they would use this opportunity wisely to secure a win. Arsenal will definitely fight back for an equalizer and who knows if Arsenal might even win the game. There will be joy in Stamford Bridge this evening if Chelsea ends up winning this game.

Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal
I said it before now that arsenal are the favourite to win  this match, but Chelsea will try to contain them, as Chelsea players will see this game as a derby match, so they will come out all in to prove a point.
Cucurella is marking saka with all his strength, though I feel saka hasn't really recovered fully from his injury. Arsenal are really making a good attacking force, they might get something before the end of the first half.
First half has just ended, am not even sure Arsenal has a chance to win in this match, Arsenal lacks the effort to push through this match, am shocked to see how Chelsea is oppressing Arsenal. Seeing Jorginho running round the field with nothing to show pains me. Am not happy with the way Jorginho and Odegaard are playing this match but Saka is trying his best. Let's watch out for second half
It's so shocking seeing the performance of Chelsea in this game leading arsenal in the first half.  Chelsea have been taking advantage of the weak wing of Martinelli who have not shown a good form and lacking in the marking. Chelsea has also dominated the midfield which has been the main bone of their oppression and forceful attacks on arsenal and the possible solution for arsenal to recapture the . midfield is to bring in Partey in the midfield for a game changer that probably could end this game to a draw but I  somehow skeptical if Chelsea wont win this game.
1143  Economy / Economics / Re: AFRICA-FX- Most African currencies seen weakening, Ghana and Tanzania steady on: October 21, 2023, 10:04:32 AM
And the analysts don't want to suggest - for what reasons this is happening ? Maybe because of an unbalanced economy and dubious trends like "dedollarization".... I hope they will be smart enough not to join such dubious alliances as BRICS or other "anti-normal life" alliances. African countries should create their own economic union, unite their economies to strengthen them, and enter the world market as a strong economic union. At the same time, they should cut ties with dubious "friends" like China.
I do align with your stance and I think they shouldn't  cut ties with just China alone but also with America and the UK and focus on a united African economy that's not based on regional economic union but on totality of the African continent just as it's found with the EU. For the relations with most of the outside world has been unequal over the years even though most of us won't admit to it.

Building the African economy on a United currency will put Africa on the vanguard of international economies for Africa has all it takes to be at the limelight with all the natural resource embedded in the continent.
1144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much do you Value your Privacy in Gambling? on: October 21, 2023, 07:20:30 AM

So, for some days now, I've had this thought of "how much some people really value their privacy in gambling", like as a gambler, you signed up on a new casino and immediately, you are allowed to deposit and play without going through a KYC verification process like we do on some casinos immediately after registration.
You start playing and luckily, you won a significant amount of money.

I know the word "significant" can mean different values for different gamblers, so let's use figures i personally think are significant and capable of changing lives.

So, let's assume you luckily won anything as from $70,000 and above with a total bet below $100, and to withdraw this money, or even part of it, the casino requires you to pass all levels of verification in their system, which means that you will have to provide them all your personally information down to the most private of them all, and this casino is relatively new and you are not sure about their reputation.

Will you go ahead and provide them all they require from you for account verification, so they can process your withdrawal request, or will you willingly forfeit such amount of money back to the casino on the account that your private information is more expensive than that amount of money you have own from them?

I love to read your thoughts on this.
First, any casino that do this is not to be trusted and the intention might likely to deny you the money or make the conditions a little difficult to check if you will give up on the funds.

Personally, I will submit the documents and do the KYC, provided I will be paid my winnings. We do KYC for minor things talk more of when $70k is involved. I know there are people that will think twice before submitting  such KYC but I don't belong to that category because the amount involved is huge and it is my wish I get to such a situation.
It is for the avoidance of this occurrence that gamblers that take too much importance to their privacy are told to make use of casino's that don't require kyc for withdrawal of any amount won thereafter sign up. Even as that some casinos may pretend to be a no KYC requirements casino but when a huge amount is involved they start giving kyc conditions for withdrawal.

It will be very hard to see any gambler that will voluntarily forfeit such huge amount of $70,000 we don't always see this amount on the green line everyday so just like you I'll render my KYC on the grounds that am assured of making the withdrawal after summiting.

Arsenal should win this game when they find Chelsea struggling. Manchester City win was a huge morale boost for them but international break interrupted the focus, that may affect their motivation. It would be nice to win at Stamford Bridge, draw is also not a bad result but we don't see any draw between these two teams lately. There was no draw in last nine games, nobody is satisfied with a draw. Arsenal beat Chelsea 4 games in a row, let's make it to 5.
Arsenal has been on the right since the start of this season winning at every match which has been a motivation to their form moat especially the win they whisk away from the EPL defending champion's Manchester City. They have been consistent with their winning streaks as a result of their performance but like you said international break has a way of affecting team's performance and I won't be surprised seeing arsenal not winning the match against Chelsea in today's game not forgetting that Chelsea isn't an easy opponent to beat seeing how they have started rising to the bar by winning their three consecutive games it is possible they might add arsenal as the fourth consecutive win this season.

Arsenal have a champions league match against the Spanish side Sevilla just a few days from today and the outcome of that game matters a great deal to the gunners to survive their group which means there's a high probability Artheta may not be fielding his full house in the game against Chelsea in full preparation to secure a victory in their Tuesday's game against Sevilla in the UCL. So am very well watching out for a draw in the match against Arsenal vs Chelsea  or a win in favour of the blues.
It would have been better for Chelsea players not to have gotten involved in the international games for them to continue the momentum they were gathering, but as you said, that international break has a way of making things turn around, yes it is true, but not for a team like Arsenal who already have their method of playing, their tactics and game plan, while Chelsea are just struggling to pick form.
The international break is over, and no Arsenal player picked injury from the international games, rather the ones who were out injured like Saka and Trosard used the period to rest and be ready for the Chelsea game today. So it's definitely going to be a hard one for for Chelsea.
It's dishonorable to say no when the national flag calls.
Repeatedly I say, the game isn't going to be an easy one for both team and even as everyone's picking arsenal as the favourite in this match I still hope Chelsea team return with their impressive performance they showed up before the international break, and in same way you made mention of some arsenal players in the likes of Saka returning from injury Chelsea will also be welcoming back a number of key players from injury to this game. Chelsea seem to be underrated in this match against Arsenal comparing the two teams performance but I'll also remind you that there has been a lot of improvements in Chelsea's team that many teams and fans are yet to confirm but a win against Arsenal today will prove it right and am still holding my fort that Chelsea will win the game.

One tin wey I fit tok about this matta of delay transaction relating to personal experience at different intervals be say nah low transaction fees the cos am. When you wan make transaction and the fee low e go take much longer period for the transaction to complete bases on how other transactions wey people son make also dey for queue the wait before your own com in so each transaction the stay for line based on the rate of the transaction fees e com wit.

The previous times I don encounter the experience I just had to bump the transaction again or double spend (mk u know say e go cost you more fees ) so that my transaction go get quick confirmation bcos miners the give priority first to those transaction with higher fees for inside the blocks.

1147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: October 21, 2023, 04:42:10 AM
Indeed, it's possible, but the odds of achieving success are relatively low.

There are individuals who might argue that pursuing gambling as a viable career is impossible. However, it's important to recognize that there are professional poker players and sports bettors who have demonstrated otherwise.
Is there really a career in gambling just like every other professional career that's not completely based on luck to be successful but rather on the individual's ability a d hardwork.

Paying attention to the lives of those we refer as the few individuals that have made a profession in gambling canceling or ruling out doubts against the idea of no career in gambling, we will discover that these men have a backup financial sources of income that they use in resuscitating their gambling activity in maintaining the way they gamble without which they won't be able to hold on the so-called profession stage.

To name a few of these individuals Roman Ibramovich and Drake etc, the former is an oil tycoon business man while the latter is a professional singer with endorsement deals and contracts that maintains the gambling profession they stage to the public. Hence, a total dependency on gambling as a successful career to chase is not only relative low but impossible to achieve.

1149  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The pressure to last long in bed and the increased use of manpower drugs on: October 20, 2023, 08:51:54 PM
Nah only poor man the carry the matta of satisfying a woman in bed for him head, the rich has no such time. Sex isn't a marathon that you must last for a speculated minutes or hour before it should be termed enjoyable.

People that takes drugs before having sex to satisfy a woman are causing a future health hazard to their body system and organs of your body. The side effects of those drugs is what you don't want to know reason been that if you do you won't dare take it. The more you take sex enhancement drug the more your system gets weaken that you can't sleep with a woman without taking those drugs and anytime you don't take it your manhood won't kick because it has gotten used to been kicked through sex enhance meds.

Now the question is this how long do you plan on taking those drugs all your life?  It's quite unfortunate that sex has caused a lot of young men to turn into drug addicts and very soon we might be having countless cases of organ failures diseases in the future 10 years from now among people that would be age 40 by then.

Things has really changed unlike before when a graduate is coming out from the university their are job opportunities around the corners, people don't even stress themselves to acquire skills as an alternative just in case they don't get a job. Getting a job as a graduate some years back was a thing never to argue about or think about.  In this recent time things have really changed, expecting so much from the government as a graduate can lead people into serious problems.  The life we live now is so unpredictable, no one can be sure of practicing their desired career from what they have learnt in school.
There are factors we will have to pick out as to why it was simply for graduates to get a job preferably a job if their choice just after graduating from the university. Back then we never had the number of people in the university like we do now and every year this number of undergraduates and graduates keeps increasing without a responding increment to jobs.

The government and private sector can't provide jobs for all and that's the reality that have hit the present state of things that both graduates and non graduates now source to acquire skills to back up their profile with how the job hunting competition is spiking so higher.

What makes young people to feel unhappy after graduation no job is because they had all  their expectations in living a comfortable life hinged only on getting a job working in a highly established company or government ministry. It's high time youths wake up and nurture their construct to understand that working for someone in this age of technology can't deliver to you the happy productive life they seek, we are now in an age where the happiest people are people with the needed skills, self-made, self-employed (entrepreneurial minds). Having a job with static salary can't change your life for good, it's like working for other people's vision and dream with the energy of your own dreams
1151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can change lives on: October 20, 2023, 01:44:39 PM
In 2010, one Bitcoin was just $0.20, and buying 5,000 Bitcoin would cost only $1000.
Compare that price as of then to today's price $27k plus,  you would be obviously filthy rich.
So you mean if I invest $1000 in Bitcoin right now, in the next thirteen years Bitcoin price will reach $135,000,000 or 5,000x times higher?

This kind convincing strategy is really bullshit, if people want to change their life, they need to learn a high paying skill instead of investing small amount of money and hoping the investment will increase really really high.
sounds like a bullshit somehow but it's a bullshit that quite makes some sense in a way which is all about risk taking and patient. Someone that invests in bitcoin with $1000 in 2010 will most definitely be making that x5 times amount with today's bitcoin price when calculated, not to talk of the ATH price. The question is that is it a risk anyone will be willing to take YES there are investors that will be willing to take it looking at the past records of bitcoin price 13years behind. The profit ultimately may not be a life changing amount but will be worth it.

Having a skill makes the waiting light and non burdensome for you to be tempted to touch the investment proceeds before time and that's what makes the bitcoin journey of changing ones life achievable.

1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 19, 2023, 10:07:55 PM
-snip
will not blame anyone in that situation and if we think logically I appreciate the person efforts to avoid his friends after a big win because in my experience history when a friend finds out another friend has a lot of money and tries to borrow a large amount promises to return it but in In the end, they did not return the money and the two parties quarreled and broke off their friendship. so if that person avoids his friends to avoid this situation, I really appreciate it because he wants to maintain his friendship with other friends because money can break someone good relationship.

but if we think instantly we will think how bad that person is when it is difficult and happy they are always together but when they win they disappear and avoid other friends and should win big amounts at least give tips whatever the amount to the people closest to them to give them a feeling of gratitude for getting a big win but after all, it was a decision he had taken and as a friend he did not have to think badly.
For me, there’s no need to avoid your friends because you are just afraid that they will try to borrow you and won’t be able to return the money. Instead, face them and tell them the truth that you are also in need of that money so that they will also understand your point. At least, giving them some tips regardless of the amount will make them feel that they are not forgotten and are still important to you. If they are really your friends, they will understand you and won’t never criticize your decision.
your reply succeeded in impressing me and I really appreciate the very wise thoughts related to remaining honest and brave not to avoid friends when they win big and the method you gave is very reasonable and as a friend you will definitely really understand the situation.

but back to each other thoughts because sometimes someone has slightly bad thoughts when trouble comes to their friends but when they get a lot of money they actually avoid their friends and this behavior is actually very inappropriate to be considered friends because as friends we dont need money but need time to gamble together even if you use real money just to hang out and have fun.
it's actually frightening that someone you were having at heart as a friend would just give you some distance because they won huge amount of money. A friend you all probably shared both bad and good moments in all the times you guys have been gambling and just for him to be so fortunate to win that huge amount and he suddenly turned cold and seeing you his own friends as liability that will squander his money if he still stick around.  You guys didn't squander the little he had when he was with you then it's huge amount you'll squander, doesn't that sound hilarious.

It would make much sense he still sticks around but mad it plain  to his friends that he has budgeted the money for some investment or business project so he doesn't have money to give them from the win, I think that would have made sense more than anything else.

A few days ago, I was part of the team that embarked on a mission to introduce newcomers to bitcoin in Cameroon. The experience was both exhilarating and enlightening, as we engaged with the curious and passionate young Africans eager to understand the intricacies of Bitcoin. It was a profound moment of introspection, witnessing their genuine interest and profound questions about bitcoin. We did our best to impart knowledge, covering essential aspects such as the fundamentals of Bitcoin, its role as an alternative to traditional fiat currencies, the inner workings of the Bitcoin network, and concepts like proof of work. We delved into the realm of Bitcoin creation and mining, explaining the significance of Bitcoin wallets and how to secure them effectively, among other topics.

I am impress with the drive and eagerness by your team  to do something that spreads bitcoin awareness and adoption among the young people and you didn't actually stop there you have to offer them the opportunity to practically get on desk immediately by encouraging them with some Satoshi to have an experience of  what they have been lectured about exploring how it works.

Do you guys plan on continuing  the $1 worth of Satoshi to newcomers just after this set or it's just a part of the initiative that ends with this set learners. Because I was wondering how you guys source the money you gifting out as part of the programme?
1155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: October 19, 2023, 12:12:14 PM
Don't rest on gambling as source of financial income.

Not matter what people may say, gambling should be fun and that fun shouldn't be found only when we win but in losing too.

Never chasing losses can be helpful not to lose more. If you win in one or two games of the day just quit and go home to play another day.

Never gamble above your set gambling amount it better or makes you more In charge if you try to gamble below more often.

Never take loan to gamble, if you don't have the money to then just relax and feel comfortable while watching others play. Or better still just go home.
1156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An agent is no where to be found. on: October 19, 2023, 11:44:25 AM
Today I witness something very strange in the area where I live recently. There was a gambling shop that was not too far from where I am staying, so every day different gamblers visit the shop to bet on games, some win and some don't win a dime.

So, yesterday afternoon, a man bet on a midnight game and the game played accordingly as predicted, but the surprising thing was that the betting agent ran away with the money the man won, and the betting agent is no where to be found.

However, I am here to say these are the reasons why it is not always good to gamble in a betting agent's shop, because if the manager of the shop does not run with the money a gambler wins, then one of the workers in the betting shop might run away with the money someone wins, so I do conclude that an online gambling site with good reputation is the best for gambler, so what do you guys have to say about this?.
That is one disadvantage of using small betting shops where you can't assure that when you win a huge amount they will pay right away. But the scenario that you have told us is something usual these days as it also happens in our place as well. Not literally a scam thing because they also make payouts to those who win small but for financial reasons and family problems, they'll take the funds and leave.

Indeed, better not to use new betting sites especially when they involve 3rd parties as it is too risky.
Gamblers need to take into account all the possible consequences of their actions, if they are gambling just for the sake of fun and the amount they are using is very small then they can afford to gamble on those small shops, as even if they win the profits they will get will also be small, however if a person is gambling with a high amount of money in a game that could produce significant profits if they got lucky then they cannot gamble at such establishments, and instead they should only gamble at the most reputable casinos which will honor their obligations and pay them up in the case they win.
From what op explained I am not sure the problem of paying out the money is coming from the betting site/company but it's rather from a greedy bet shop owner who register as agent of the bet company as a channel through which in land gamblers can walk in and bet on their predictions. Some of these bet agents have given bad reputation to the bet sites they represent when the bat site has already paid in the won money into their ( the shop owner as agent) account immediately the bet win was confirmed so that can release the money to the appropriate winner but in their greed and scamming nature seeing how huge the money is they would choose to run away with the money. And this in turn cripples the repute of those bet sites they represent.

I have heard of these stories more often than one that's why I make sure to bet online if am using good amount to gamble with the expectation of winning a huge amount as returns just to avoid having my money at the mercy of betshop owners, except when am gambling for a small wins that doesn't make much sense to disappear with. Some of these bet shop owners are opportunists.
1157  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What really happened to Nigeria Economy on: October 19, 2023, 09:42:23 AM
The answer is simple: bad leaders happened to the Nigeria economy and these bad leaders are still happening as I writing this now.  Imagine a country that is suffering from a bad economy yet the executive and parliament are budgeting billions for exotic bullet proof cars for themselves each year.

The Nigeria situation is crystal clear that we have more and more of politicians in administration than leaders with leadership qualities and are driven by the love to actually serve and not been served as we see in all the levels of government of the country. Quack them borku e be like them be rice Grin
I genuinely agree with your viewpoints, including the once-adored nation has crumbled, and the country is rife with aggravating incidents of tragedy and struggles. A slew of heinous occurrences have hit the country's economic sector, causing the currency to tumble in revenue. Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan served his country with all his might, even though it was the same country that Nigerians blamed and complained about his government, President Muhammadu Buhari took over and things changed for the worse, now is the tenure of Tinubu, who is the president with the worst record currently, everything is going up in price, he entered office and he targeted removing fuel subsidies, which have really affected the common man.
The question that reverberates in my head is this; it's crude oil the only natural resource that is embedded in Nigeria Huh that the political leadership has beam their hornet nest all around it without thinking of diversifying the economy through other sectors making it an equal sources of earnings to the nation.

In the 50's down to the early 70's we had agricultural produce and agriculture was what the nation depends on and Nigeria economy was booming with the local currency having value over the so-called dollar of today. We had groundnuts pyramids in the North, cocoa in the West and palm oil and yam barns in the Southern part of Nigeria all of which were produced in large quality for exports to other countries.

Not until the late 70's that crude oil was discovered in Nigeria and the politicians  got engulfed and disarticulated by the oil boom and that was the beginning of this economy downturns we have been experiencing for decades and it getting worsening each passing year because the mistake is still in course.

Waiting for actually 10 minutes is a bit awkward, you could have just used another search engine. I tried it just now and works pretty fast for me, perhaps the words you searched have been used more often so it takes longer than usual, but not 10 minutes lol. I encountered the same issue but didn't took me any longer than 2 minutes, so yeah internet could be your problem or the device you are using.
if the word he was searching for has been searched for more often then that is the more reason the search process was supposed to be faster being a familiar words than any other words not being searched for a long time and not waste costly 10mins on doing that. Otherwise out of common sense  I'll agree with you that it might be due the quality of his device or network issue.
1160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: October 18, 2023, 07:53:14 PM
Coin flipping has so much to do with luck and with little or no skill at all whereas in day trading you can't just open a position to trade hinging on luck there must be an applied skills from a long time built technique.
I have learnt a number of lessons from my losses in gambling but I can't say I can depend and work with the experiences of those losses to make profit in subsequent bets but for trade the more experience and knowledge you possess the more chances you have of making profitable trades without having to be lucky at it.
Exactly, that's their difference. Experience in luck based games (or in coin flip specifically) doesn't increase your chances to profit the next time you gamble again. Because there's no skills that can help you to win, thus regardless of what you do the result will still depend on your luck.

While on trading, experience can help you to improve, this can increase the possibility to profit next time since you gained knowledge already from your past experiences. Although it is also risky just like gambling, but trading doesn't solely relying on luck. The more experience you have, means you already learned something, it could be another knowledge or strategy.

Given that trading experience can supposedly increase one's chances of profitability, how do you account for seasoned traders who still face unexpected downturns? Isn't the market's inherent unpredictability a form of luck in itself? Additionally, do you know any traders who, through gaining experience from their trades, consistently achieve a stable positive return?
I supposed what you mean by seasoned trader is akin to consistent trader and for the fact that they are consistent traders doesn't make them win all trades because the market is unpredictable but it gives them an edge in winning more trades than they would lose. The unexpected downturns results from the market sentiments that is beyond the trader's control and it is his experience that helps him beat these sentiments to make profit for in trading without experience you can't win these inherent sentiments and luck is just a waste of hope if that what you wanna hang your penny on.
No one should deceive you mate, there's no stable returns in trading but like I said earlier experience enhances your chances of winning more trades more than you will lose if without trading experience.
