If you are lucky and have a clean repayment record, people might offer you loans.
They don't care what you do with the money, as long as you repay them.  Smiley
1142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 01, 2016, 06:06:22 AM
Today BIG BASH LEAGUE match is between Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder. Match will start in another two and half hours.

In directbet site I couldn't find any bets of this match. Any idea who will win this match?

Sydney Thunder is sitting pretty at the top of the league right now.
But then again, just one match separates these 2 teams.
1143  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone here part of "1 million club"? on: January 01, 2016, 05:22:10 AM
id be happy just reaching double figures, but if it gets to the point where we have full user adoption then you wont need anywhere near 21 bitcoins to have a lot of bitcoin. Hopefully one day 1 or 2 bitcoins will be ridiculous amounts to have, but to answer the question no im afraid not Sad

1 BTC might be enough, but no harm in reaching 21 bitcoins as well.
You can not have too much of a good thing.  Smiley
1144  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen if there's no price rise for the halfing? on: January 01, 2016, 05:20:44 AM
without a price rise it won't be profitable to mine anymore.
So home miners will be forced, which is very very bad for bitcoin's main feature; decentralization.

Miners will just have to look at their variable costs - i.e. electricity.
There may not be new miners coming into the market.
If the price is sufficient to cover electricity costs, the existing miners will continue mining.
1145  Economy / Speculation / Re: We all know huobi volume is faked, but what is this??? on: January 01, 2016, 05:17:07 AM
Buy and sell of a million+ coins at a time. Turned a profit also. wow

There is no profit involved in these trades. It is just coins moving from one pocket of yours to another.
That is why exchanges with no transaction fees are not reliable for volume data.
1146  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Price Slides 10% In PostXmas Selloff As CNY Premium Drops to Discount on: January 01, 2016, 05:13:13 AM
I think it is good time to buy more as we may see 480 or even around 500 by start of new year. But i will sell at that point because i don't think bitcoin can be stable over 500 like last time it droped after reaching 500.

Yes. It is good time to buy now. The price will be around $500 in January next year. It will rise slowly from there.

When you say next year, do you mean 2016 or 2017?
People will be disappointed with a price of $500 in Jan 2017.  Smiley
1147  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: December 29, 2015, 02:12:46 PM
for long term holding everyday is good day to buying bitcoin Smiley
Im sure in 2016 we would see bitcoin can reach $600 above

I strongly agree with you. Every day is a good day to buy bitcoin to save it for long-term. Because definitely you will be in profit in long-term holding of bitcoins.
I predict bitcoin prices will test $5k to $10k in 2016 with my analysis.

If you buy at frequent intervals, you tend to average out the price of acquisition.
This is more advantageous than going all-in at a particular price.
1148  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price coming down on: December 29, 2015, 02:08:21 PM
A lot of people believe it is China driving the price.
Maybe people are getting rid of their extra coins after getting the best deals during Bitcoin Black Friday.  Smiley
1149  Economy / Economics / Re: How Much Of Your Tax Refund Will You Use To Buy Bitcoin? on: December 29, 2015, 02:05:27 PM
Is the tax refund substantial?
How much (say as a percentage of monthly income) do Americans get as tax refund?
1150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [2015-12-27]Bitcoin Milestone:15 Million Bitcoins Mined 100 Million Transactions on: December 27, 2015, 06:44:45 AM

I wonder why they always use price to evaluate Bitcoin's performance as a currency.

Bitcoin has also performed exceptionally well against the world’s largest currencies including pound sterling, US dollars and Japanese yen, becoming the world’s best performing currency of the year.
1151  Economy / Speculation / Re: 500$ This Dec ! on: December 27, 2015, 06:41:27 AM
The mood here has changed a lot. Many people are worried and yes I do understand this.
However people should always remember it is speculation and speculation is risky.

Yeah, it will be even sadder if we go under the 400 USD. But people should learn to think long term.
We should be sad if the price will not reach 500 USD in january.
Because then we know for a fact the pump is over.

Well, the Christmas party is over.
What ever the price is at the end of this year, I am okay with a slow and steady climb going forward.  Smiley
1152  Economy / Economics / Re: The Switzerland of Bitcoin on: December 27, 2015, 06:39:35 AM
So I guess Switzerland IS The Switzerland of Bitcoin

How real is that news? I couldn't locate anything on it when I searched.
Plus,  you have people from Switzerland claiming that it isn't true.

I am Swiss, living in Switzerland, but I never heard about that referendum. It's not a real news...
1153  Economy / Economics / Re: How New World Order will implode on: December 27, 2015, 06:36:22 AM
Its almost Christmas and each day that passes I'm becoming more optimistic. The stock market is crashing, oil price is crashing, China is crashing. Gold is going up, bitcoin is finally going up.
-snip-
If you think that bitcoin will remain the only sunny island in the middle of the ocean you might be wrong. Bitcoin is not separated from problems of economic markets being one of the assets itself.
Huge stock market crash will most likely cause bitcoin price to drop as well. In times of crisis the best options are commodities like gold, silver and real estate market imo.

Bitcoin is treated as a commodity and hence it may crash with other asset classes. I am not sure real estate will do well in times of crisis. Real estate was one of the biggest losers during the sub-prime crisis.  Smiley
1154  Economy / Economics / Re: Reuters:"2016 could prove to be the year that the price of bitcoin surges again" on: December 26, 2015, 11:19:14 AM
I am pumped for 2016!
I think with halving bitcoin will go back over 600 like it was before the drop!

A lot of people think that the halving effect has been incorporated in 2015 itself.
The price rose from $200 to almost $500 on the back of nothing.
1155  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: December 26, 2015, 11:16:38 AM
I say 50 bitcoins will get you by retirement after huge price increases.

Say bitcoin price raises to 10,000 each

You will have $500,000

You can retire with that much money if you live frugally, and have no fixed expenses.

You can't retire with 500k, no way, no how

You may be able to do it, if you live in a third world country.
You still have to invest $500k and get an annuity, but it can be done.  Smiley
1156  Economy / Speculation / Re: The sky is falling. on: December 26, 2015, 11:13:26 AM
Indeed a steady drop in the last hours, but I suspect it to be a temporary thing and will eat my shoes if it goed beneath $400. Not that it does affect me very much (I only own dust), but who knows it might be a nice oppertunity to get some cheap coins and get to the shoe-store.

Steady and rather sharp drop.
10% in a few hours is nothing to joke about.
Hopefully, it recovers as quickly as it dropped.
1157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 26, 2015, 11:09:12 AM
England is not playing well.
Both openers back in the pavilion for low scores.
South Africa were favourites before the match began, now they must be further ahead.
1158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 25, 2015, 06:34:26 AM
Tomorrow going to start two test matches and one oneday match.

Second test between Australia and West Indies - this one 90% australia going to win

1st test between South Africa and England - this match very difficult to predict but mostly SA may win because they are better team than england as of now.

1st one day match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka - NZ have higher chances but SL may bounce back. I will wait for match to start to decide on which team to bet.

South Africa had a horrid time in India.
England must be banking on that form to continue in the series against them.
1159  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - 2016 on: December 25, 2015, 06:32:38 AM
Ecerybody want to know this,of course they also wondering about that,so i am. And after read aomw article about what happen with bitcoin price on 2016,i will say that bitcoin price will raise up at least until $1200,its caused two reason, first. Much more people use and adopt bitcoin, and the second is becauae bitcoin halving gonna happen.

A lot of people are banking on the block reward halving to drive up prices.
That may be incorporated in bitcoin's price already.  Smiley
1160  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: December 25, 2015, 06:29:55 AM
I think i am not waiting for bitcoin price drop to 100$ , because in my opinion if the price is dropping near 100$ It will be hard for bitcoin price to bounce back, so i really hope bitcoin will never get that low

If it drops anywhere close to $100, there are enough moneybags waiting in the wings ready to enter.
So I think that eventuality will never be reached.  Smiley
