1141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lol. Litecoin Cash (LCC) spectacularly crashed. Officially a premine dump scam? on: March 11, 2018, 12:40:34 PM
the fate of all these fork coins are always the same. they don't add any value, they don't do anything special, they simply change a bunch of codes which is mostly copy paste of other projects and make it work somehow then premine the shit out of the coin and make a lot of money.

if someone wanted to create a proper project they would have never forked a coin like this in first place!
1142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fake Volumes - exchangers on: March 11, 2018, 12:27:31 PM
For the exchanges that allow zero-fee trading, that encourages fake volume too, since people can abuse that to manipulate prices and target a desired figure via High Frequency Trading.

i don't think we can call that "fake" volume. as long as there are real trades taking place between real people, no matter what the fees are or what the strategy is, the volume it produces can not be fake.
i think a better term for exchanges with 0 fees is "exaggerated volume".
1143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC Replaced by an Altcoin ? on: March 11, 2018, 12:15:57 PM
only if you can find an altcoin that is truly better than bitcoin and solves the issues you think exist without introducing newer problems. for example some altcoins think they can solve the bitcoin scaling issue with simply increasing the block size of it or reducing the block time, (eg BCH and ETH) and they fail because they create newer problems.
1144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency in its infancy stage? on: March 10, 2018, 02:17:06 PM
i believe that bitcoin is indeed in its early stages of development and adoption, which you can call the "infancy stage".

but unfortunately the altcoins are in a very terrible stage, it is in a pre maturity stage or pre infancy if you want. and right now they are not taken seriously either by developers or anyone else. the technology is serious though and that is why you see everyone only is excited about their technology not the coins.
1145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about Ethereum? on: March 10, 2018, 01:56:28 PM
What do you like best about Ethereum?
Good smartcontract? Have good future in ico industry? easier to move?

none of these 3 are true!
Ethereum has one of the worst ways to create smart contracts and it has a collection of the worst smart contracts created on it.
the future of ICOs will be very dark in  general because of the way they are.
and finally it is not easy to move at all. there are far easier to use, move,... coins out there.

the only thing that i like about ETH and i think everyone else is the same even if they don't admit it, is the fact that it has very good pumps which makes it profitable at times of pumping.
1146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bcash fanboys learned the value of BTC in these hard times. on: March 10, 2018, 01:30:10 PM
very true, but also you are missing a very important fact.

the fact that it doesn't matter if it is BCash or anything else, they are all getting dumped because of one simple reason: they are all useless.

the only usage these altcoins have is for speculation and the very same reason led to big bubbles in each of them which is bursting. if they had any usage that would have saved their values.
1147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if bitcoin can be used in buying online game items ? on: March 10, 2018, 01:15:32 PM
it also already happened with Steam (Valve corp.) they are one of the biggest gaming platforms in the whole world with millions of players and they added bitcoin support but unfortunately last year they stopped it because the fees were very high!

maybe we can see that happening again in a year or so with Lightning Network and if we can accept the fact that bitcoin not being a currency is dumbest thing in the world...
1148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin on the way out? on: March 07, 2018, 02:30:03 PM
it is a very well known phenomena called spam attack. when it starts the number of transactions grow to an unrealistic number and as long as that is kept up, the number stays up.

but thanks to this mechanism known as fees and the fee market, this spam attack can not last long because it costs a lot. and when it stops the number comes back to realistic numbers and now you are comparing this real number which has increased compare to before with the peak of the spam attack unrealistic number and thinking it has dropped!!!
1149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to read the order book on: March 07, 2018, 02:12:19 PM
you can't really interpret this particular situation that you have in your picture.
i don't really have any logical explanation about why these orders like this exist. maybe some bot is placing them like those weird ping pong (or something like ping pong) trading strategy bots!
but one thing i can tell you is that this is nothing when price wants to move in that direction. i mean your picture shows 24 of these orders and they come to a total of 0.024BTC... that's nothing compared to the volume that goes around. if someone simply dumps 0.03BTC=258 EUR in this, price goes right past it in a blinking of an eye.
secondly the price difference is nothing. it goes from 8601.93 EUR to 8601.70 EUR that is 0.002% change!

the best way to look at this order book is to zoom in so that it shows all these small orders in one place instead of spreading them like this.
1150  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading learnings offer on: March 07, 2018, 02:05:27 PM
I'm curious, one of my friend receive an offer to teach him trading in binance with starting capital for free via message in this forum. It is legit or not? Your answer will be appreciated.

i think it depends. i am not clear what the "offer" was here.
what do you mean "with starting capital"?

there can be a wide variety of reasons for someone to do something like this. maybe the person offering this is running a pump group so he wants victims who listen to him and buy shitcoins he has bought already so he can make a profit.
or maybe he simply wanted a binance referral to make more money off the commissions, maybe that is why there is a "starting capital requirement".
1151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: March - bullish month? on: March 07, 2018, 01:49:57 PM
so far the trend has been a very good one and all has been happening according to expectations. price is rising but slowly with each round of it better than the last one. price goes up to the resistance and down to a higher low which shows it is a rising triangle and as soon as we break the horizontal line of it and go above that resistance we are officially in a bull market.
and that can happen in this month.
1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 15 MARCH ! BTC will be affected or not ? on: March 06, 2018, 02:33:49 PM
first of all China is always banning bitcoin (i know the article says crack down or whatever) Cheesy
secondly any news effect depends on the timing of it. for example today price reached the upper limit (resistance) and it was tested like last times. it couldn't break it so it is falling down right now. if this news becomes big it can create a bigger dip but still won't be near enough to cause a drop lower than previous bottom ($9500).
if it came out yesterday and tried to become big, nothing would have happened.
1153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Way back 2016. on: March 06, 2018, 02:24:33 PM
xireKT is right, nobody can predict the market specially when it comes to altcoins.
what can be done is some sort of speculation to get the closest thing, however. for example by the end of 2016 you could say that in a year price will be above $1000 and it can even reach $2000 if enough demand comes up. and you could say that based on history and speculation of the future based on that and also based on the adoption rate.

when the mass adoption in Japan happened you increase this rate that you speculated in 2016 and get a new one. when scaling debate ended you increase the speculation, and so on.
same is true right now.

what i want to tell you is that instead of looking for someone who made a "correct prediction" and following him like a zombie you should learn how the prediction itself works.
1154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Moon, Doge extremely low transaction fees! on: March 06, 2018, 02:15:34 PM
I recently came across these coins. Their transaction fee is merely 1-40 Satoshi in btc

you forgot to make the point you wanted to make. you just made an statement Wink
by the way there are coins like IOTA (if i am not mistaken) which don't even have transaction fees.

you can also use 10-sat transaction fees in bitcoin right now.

unfortunately you can not do this.
the minimum amount of fee that you can set and have your transaction propagated and eventually mined is 1 satoshi/byte and smallest transaction is ~140 byte which means min fee can be 140 satoshi.

if you know any other way, let me know!
1155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cobra-bitcoin compromised. Bitcoin.org is not safe bitcoin site anymore on: March 06, 2018, 02:10:13 PM
just because someone is supporting bitcoin cash it doesn't mean their accounts are compromised. they may have their  reasons for doing such things, maybe he wants it to get pumped so he can dump a large amount and make a shitload of money LOL.

but jokes aside bitcoin.org being compromised or not is a meaningless and dumb thing. bitcoin.org is just a website like any other website. people should never put too much trust in anything that is centralized. and bitcoin.org is centralized.

things people have to know are these:
source code: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/
how to verify authenticity of the binaries for bitcoin core: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1588906.0
1156  Other / Meta / Re: I Will not pay even a cent on: March 06, 2018, 02:01:42 PM
Did you pay for this account? Smiley

i think he is talking about "Units of Evil"!
some IP addresses (i think Tor or possibly proxies and VPNs) have been used in the past to do something "evil" on the forum so now they are in a black list and if someone signs up with them they are asked to pay a fee based on how "evil" that IP was.

OP can simply use another proxy or TOR exit,... to sign up.
1157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the maximum number of different cryptocurrencies we should invest in? on: March 05, 2018, 04:03:27 PM
I was reading some expert opinions about investing in cryptocurrencies and found that it's best to invest in three different cryptos. What is your opinion?

there really isn't a fix number for that. it depends on the person. most people are "one coiners". they only invest in bitcoin and will never bother with any of the altcoins because they say it doesn't worth the headache and they are pump and dumps.

some others go over board and invest in 50+ different coins and hold them and even lost a lot of money in total which will negate if one coin goes to the moon even!

i say somewhere between these two is a good place to be. any number in 1 digits is good (1-9) and i would possibly go with 3 myself altcoin i never hold any altcoin for long.
1158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for thesis? on: March 05, 2018, 03:47:49 PM
Could it be possible for a bitcoin to become a thesis? I mean its a way of spreading awareness of btc. What do you think?

in order to spread awareness of bitcoin you don't need to make it into an academic thesis. what you need to do is to educate people and teach them about bitcoin.
a thesis is when you want to study bitcoin at academic level. for example there are some of them already made. i think one of them was actually on the spam attack against bitcoin and how it affected things in 2015.
1159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do other crypto-currencies have a chance or is bitcoin to far ahead? on: March 05, 2018, 03:42:48 PM
i would like to call it in a different way. other altcoins are too far behind not just bitcoin being far ahead.

and sadly that is mainly because the altcoins have not been focusing on utility, instead they have been focusing on things that people may get more excited about so that they can get more hype and get pumped more and become richer.
1160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: waves on: March 02, 2018, 08:58:37 AM
i also expect a good future for Waves, it is a good enough project with lots of interesting features specially features that are very hyped these days including smart contracts and decentralized exchange platform.

Waves is certainly a much better platform than Ethereum. the only difference is that it is not as much advertised and hyped!
