1141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: June 17, 2023, 09:05:41 PM
Priorities matters in all of this. La Liga is important to win just like the champions league. At least if he can’t win both, he shouldn’t lose both of them. I respect Xavi’s coaching style and I’m sure he’s going to do better by next season. The team is currently facing financial challenges, but I hope they’re able to find a way out to be able to sign new players to fill the void against next season, most especially the champions league competition.
I think it will take time for xavi to bring Barcelona back strong in the Champions league. Last season Barcelona was eliminated in the grub phase and this season we hope Xavi can bring Barcelona further forward in the Champions League.  I think one of the best strengths that Xavi has this season is their success in winning the Laliga which makes them more confident for next season in the Champions League. Xavi is not full of experience in the Champions League yet, but I see that he has quite the same character as Pep and it's just that he needs time and a long process to bring Barcelona back to become the strongest team in the Champions League.
1142  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: June 17, 2023, 06:56:09 PM
I am happy that you have learnt from  your mistake ginsan for thinking that bitcoin is a short term profit generator, which this is what so many people always have at the back of their mind that is to sell and make profit when there is a little pump in price. They are blindfolded with little profit at the moment and didn't see the huge benefit when you hold for long. So many bitcoiners have this idea of selling durig the bull or in a price higher than what tgey bought as smartness and buying again after the price has dump below what they sold. They are just deceiving themselves thinking that they are making income not knowing that it will be hard for them to have that same number of bitcoin or higher than it after they have sold it,due to some financial circumstances that will come around the person and will make him use some part of the funds to solve.
That's a road full of obstacles that I can use as a lesson that is valuable enough to be a big motivation for the future developments that I will do. I think one of the biggest factors is the lack of better knowledge of the direction of development of bitcoin that led us to fall into the wrong decision.

Ginsan take for instance that the price you sold those 5BTC of yours and compare it to assuming you left it to this very time, how much your bitcoin portfolio will worth.
I don't remember anymore even it was buried not to see it. I think it's taboo to remember.

If you have a clear reason why you should sell your bitcoins in the past, then I don't think it's a bad decision.
There are many reasons to sell bitcoin holdings and one of them is when you feel you need the money urgently. Your health and anything other like building a business are some of the reasons to sell bitcoin, but if you have better options then holding and seeking a solution such as a loan is fine too.
Well not that problem, but what I remember was in a situation when I sold it just to gamble and in the end it all disappeared with the trigger of excessive stress levels. But for now I have moved on from that bitter event and returned to a good direction and am more confident about buying and buying btc which I will keep for the long term.
1143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: June 17, 2023, 01:51:48 PM
I don't see it as gambling though, I see it as a test to myself, on how tough I will be on this kind of games. So I just started with a short term goal and then work my way up to a year and then now I'm confident of my capacity and mental strength to continue to accumulate although there were moments last year wherein I need to sell some stash because of the death of my sister.

Nevertheless, I was not deter, after that I continue to have plans and execute my strategy and I would say that I'm doing fairly good right or at least have the confidence now to be a bitcoin HODLer. And I'm trying to get to 52 weeks or even higher.
That's very extraordinary, you have succeeded in instilling a belief that is strong enough and full of determination to carry out the investment you are making. Indeed, all of these twists and turns are quite difficult and full of challenges, but the level of confidence or experience that we have learned in previous years can be used as a strong reference to start here, namely buying and holding through each strategy. Indeed, I myself also feel a sense of boredom, but I have to get rid of that to achieve my target of buying btc every week and that is one of my targets in the long term.

On the other hand you have reached 52 weeks in the buying stage and that is quite an interesting milestone and I think you will get used to it and there will be no more burden to keep buying and buying. I myself, for now, have probably just entered the 17th purchase stage and even then I do it routinely every week. Well hopefully our dream can be achieved to have 1 btc and it will motivate us to keep buying and buying.

You've been a forum member since 2016 ginsan.. so are saying that since sometime around then, you have gone through 17 stages in which you had been weekly buying BTC on the dip.. (or what you perceive to have been a dip)?  That buying on dips like that works better than if you had just followed a strict DCA?

If I understand you correctly, you are DCAing within a buying on dip approach... in order to attempt to get more bang for your buck with your DCAs.

A very strict DCA of $10 per week for the past 6 years would have gotten you real close to 1 BTC.. and you would have invested $3,660.

Did you do better than that in your trying to time your buying BTC on dips rather than just consistently buying on a weekly basis in order to attempt to reach your 1 BTC goal? and presumptively you would like to continue to accumulate BTC even after you achieve 1 BTC.
Sorry to explain off topic. Several times i have held more than 5 btc at the same time i sold it and at the same time i did not hold it long term. And only this time I realized that the decision to sell in the past was the worst decision I had ever made.  Maybe it's a bit stupid but that's my experience and I learned to go back to accumulate with DCA since I visited this thread and don't plan to sell again because I've learned from many mistakes that I've done in the past.

Indeed, that's what I said, I just started and hope for a lot of positive support, be it financially or otherwise, because it can make me more enthusiastic about doing the DCA strategy every week.
1144  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is hodling top 10 Marketcap coins a good tactic? on: June 16, 2023, 08:54:42 PM
I have been loyal with holding to 10 marketcap coins but right now seems not good tactic, right now many bad news coming from every where and cryptocurrency easy dropped to lower price when getting bad news. Last three weeks I invested with BNB coins when price above $320 and right now dropped drastically under $230. Its my mistake when holding with top 10 marketcap coins but before investing in BNB still hold another top 10 marketcap coins but price still drop under 30%.

But not all top 10 marketcap coins is bad tactic for holding because another my holding Ethereum success raise to higher price, my investment entry with ETH when price drop on $1,200 and still hold right now waiting for back to all time high price. Do your own research when holding with top 10 marketcap coins before have wrong tactic which one potential coins have to hold and not.
Holding a coin which is at a strong fundamental level or strong market capitation is absolutely not in doubt, whether it's bnb or eth or any other coin that is top 50 cmc, of course there's nothing to worry about friends. The downward rally has become a normal thing and I don't think you need to worry because bnb will definitely go up again this year or next year and the current decline is the effect of falling btc prices. Coins that have strong fundamentals like bnb, of course, their price movements follow the price of btc.

Yes, I also hold a few coins for now, but I don't feel that things are burdened in my mind about this decline because I am accumulating coins in the DCA way and I'm sure that one day the price of the coins we buy will have a significant upward rally. Well one thing that I might stay away from is coin memes because they have no development or product that would allow us to hold them in our portfolio.
1145  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is buying BTC now, the best option ??? on: June 16, 2023, 08:32:46 PM
Buying BTC can never go wrong. We should always buy the coin, don’t take stress about the price. We have seen Bitcoin’s capabilities earlier and we know how far it can go. Bitcoins are limited in numbers, hence very rare. So when the demand to buy the coin will increase, the price will automatically go up in order to meet the demand. Hence it is advisable to buy the coins always in a regular interval. So yes OP, currently buying the Bitcoins is the best option possible.
We have seen the decline that occurred this week where if they are still asking when is the right time to buy btc the answer is at this time. There is nothing to care about the price because if we continue to delay buying it is likely that we will always be in the shadow of being left behind to add btc to our portfolio.  Well like you said btc will be more scarce in the future because bitcoin has a supply of 21 million. So for that, I estimate that the decline that occurred this week is a small correction that can be used to enter and buy gradually.

For next year, we will come to the halving, which is an important event that is eagerly awaited by btc holders and hopes that we will go to a better rally at the end of this year.  Previously, news about sec and all kinds of fud caused the price of btc to fall, but we have seen that btc is very strong and we just need time.

1147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: June 15, 2023, 09:37:31 PM
Even the best Arab players will want an opportunity to play in Europe. Nothing has really changes in the Saudi league.
I respect what they are trying to build and I hope they build a league that will captivate the whole world but for now I don't think there have been a significant change. Bringing in stars that are at the eclipse of their career isn't a new thing. America does it, Japan does it, China did it. In fact, China succeeded in persuading some young players like Oscar, Bakambu, Carrasco to join them in their league.
Building a league that can rival Europe wont take a couple of years, it will take time. And it has to be more than just the Saudi league, it has to be the whole Asian football. The can have at least 10 leagues that are very competitive just like Europe has its own top 5 leagues.
Maybe the Arab league is popular since Ronaldo joined there.  before that no one even discussed it here. Ronaldo popularity can raise the Saudi Arabian League, it is increasingly known throughout the world, even Ronaldo arrival makes the Saudi Arabian League even more interesting to watch. Apart from that, what has already been said, I totally agree that the Arab League will not be able to make big changes to compete with the European League, even though they have enough money to build their league.

On the other hand European players joining the Saudi Arabian league seem to be at the end of their career and I'm not sure the Saudi Arabian League will really be famous when they don't have Ronaldo anymore. Well all these things of course are build and build and for now they are the best asian tier and it's better than before.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 15, 2023, 09:18:50 PM
It's not time for Jude Bellingham to be compared to Zidane even though he was given the honor of wearing the jersey that Zidane once wore when he was actively playing for Real Madrid. Zidane has been recognized as the world's best player with various achievements he has achieved at club and international level, he is also able to lead the midfield well. Jude Bellingham is still very young, his qualities are able to attract Real Madrid's interest in signing him. His story with Real Madrid has just begun, there is still a lot to do to become the best player in the world like Zidane did.

It's a bit odd if we equate Bellingham with Zidane for now. I think we have to see his performance next season, will he be able to make a bigger contribution to Real Madrid or will he need time to adapt to Real Madrid game. Zidane is a big legend at Real Madrid I think it will be difficult for other players to match him. However, Belligham can achieve all of that, but it takes process and time.

Yes, Bellingham arrival was allegedly a great purchase made by Real Madrid's management. I think the strength and expertise he has will be good enough for Real Madrid strength in the next season. Real madrid are always capable of surprises in the transfer window and it is possible that they will make another great signing this season.
1149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 15, 2023, 08:55:27 PM
Even then, it is still quite a risk for the Bayern team who are facing important matches in European competition. I think that to overshadow next season, Bayern must look for a goalkeeper who is experienced and has good quality to replace Neuer.
Sommer and Sven Ulreich have not been good so far, this season when Neuer was injured but they have not been able to make people believe that they deserve to be in the main position, I think Bayern should look for another goalkeeper.
Manuel Neuer cannot be fully relied on by Bayern Munich in the next season because he is old and I'm not even sure that he will be able to give the best to Bayern Munich as he did in the previous season. I think one of the factors is that his glorious era with Bayern Munich is over and it is only fitting for Bayern Munich to look for a goalkeeper who has stronger talents such as manuer neur. But as far as we can see several goalkeepers owned by Bayern Munich, their average age is over 30 years old. I think Bayern Munich should be able to find a goalkeeper who is younger and ready to make a big contribution to Bayern Munich next season.

However, one of the things that makes me sure is that Bayern Munich management for next season still entrusts Yann Sommer because he is able to replace the role left by the neur when he was injured. But on the one hand I think Bayern Munich deserves to bring Alexander Nubel home from Monaco because I think he will be reliable enough for next season.

Manchester United already spend a lot of money as it is.  They spend even more than Manchester City in signing players if you look at their net spend. In terms of players salary Manchester United spend the most in the league also. So selling the club to Sheikh Jassim might not yield the expected result.
I wonder why United fans blame the Glazzers for every misfortune in the club when the owners are clearly not doing a bad job.
I feel the problem of United is with the board. They make decisions that should not be made. The recruiting team of Manchester United should be changed, they are not doing a good job.
If Sheikh Jassim officially buys Manchester United, I think there will be a lot of changes in the members of the Manchester United board, this is nothing but bringing new changes to the new era of ownership. Apart from that, the expenses made by Manchester United in the previous few seasons did not seem to match their target, namely failing to win the EPL Trophy. For the latest developments I think the Glazers will proceed as soon as possible because there are strong rumors that this sale will go to Sheikh Jassim.

Next season the EPL competition will be even more interesting after we see some pretty hard efforts from team owners in bringing in lots of star players like what is being done by Newcastle United and Manchester united. So on the other hand I think Arsenal are also not standing still they have to be able to cover their gaps in the transfer window.
1151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 14, 2023, 09:31:38 PM
There will be always rumors about Mbappe and Real Madrid. It is not only in this forum but there are still some media that spread the rumors about Mbappe and Real Madrid. Besides Mabppe has clarified it, Florentino Pérez also has stated to sign Mbappe in the next year. His price is still too expensive if Real Madrid signs him this transfer season. Real Madrid may have the money, but Florentino Pérez doesn't want to pay Mbappe with unrealistic money.

Sure, Ancelotti must target other players, just forget Mbappe temporarily. Harry Kane and Osimhen are also good strikers, these players deserve to replace Benzema, too. I really hope Real Madrid wants to consider these players and they should be more serious to negotiate with Tottenham/Napoli.

Mbappe is very synonymous with Real Madrid because Real Madrid was very keen to sign him from last season's transfer window. The situation between PSG and Mbappe is not in good enough harmony so that Real Madrid can take this opportunity to again seduce Mbappe to agree to their offer.  Indeed, Mbappe release price will probably break the club record and that is very clear because PSG will fence him in at a fairly high price.

Benzema departure has indeed become a void for now in the Real Madrid striker position. Like it or not real madrid have to find a suitable replacement for that position and if they fail to get Mbappe for the second time it is very likely that real madrid will bring in kane or Osimhen, which most likely the price of the release clauses of these two players is more affordable, compared to the value of Mbappe release which was  too high.
1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: June 14, 2023, 09:20:44 PM
It is very difficult to maintain a high level of play over several seasons, after every peak there is a decline, and besides, other teams can be much stronger next season, until we know how Bayern will play, or what to expect from Real Madrid, Barcelona or other teams . Guardiola did everything right and City looked very good at the end of the season, but in previous seasons everything was not so perfect, so I'm not sure that things will turn out as well for City as they did this time.
Every season, of course, there are many surprises that we will see in the UCL, be it the defending champions defending the title or the challengers who are not seeded. This season belongs to Manchester city and it is not certain that they can maintain it next season even though they are still strong candidates. Competition will occur and this will be seen from the strong teams this season such as Bayern munich and Inter milan and even Ac milan. I think one of the things that amazed us this season was the decline in the performance of the Real Madrid team which other teams were able to take advantage of in winning the trophy.

Next season the team from the EPL will be enough to attract my attention, especially Manchester united. They were a big team in the previous era in UCL and this season they seem quite ready to give competition to other teams in the race for the ucl trophy. Erik ten hag will make a major overhaul in the transfer window to cement the team even stronger in the Champions League.
1153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 13, 2023, 09:49:37 PM
That will be a wise choice for PSG to cash in on Mbappe instead of losing him at the end of next season as a free agent, that will be a huge loss for them. I don't understand what is happening with PSG, why they are losing their key players first it was Sergio Ramos then Neymar linked with possible exit, Messi followed and now Mbappe also facing the exit door.
Yes, it's a bit strange what is happening at PSG at the moment where several players choose to leave PSG in this season's transfer window. For Messi, it's clear because his contract with PSG has expired this season, he has officially joined Inter Miami. However, one side of Mbappe is actually being pressured by PSG where they will make a surprising statement or urge Mbappe to renew his contract with PSG or he will be sold. I'm sure this is one way if PSG don't want to lose their star players so that PSG management will pressure Mbappe to immediately sign a new contract.

When a situation like this occurs, the player will automatically think wiser where he can go to another club or he will ask for a higher salary payment if he accepts an offer to renew his contract. One of these loopholes might be used by other teams to send an offer to Mbappe and Real Madrid is a club that really wants to sign him.
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 13, 2023, 09:38:04 PM
He's already done alot for Manchester City, I really do think it's time for him to part ways with Manchester City. Barcelona have been linked already, and how they play really suits him as he will not find it difficult to adapt to Barcelona.

As for Manchester City, they already have the England forward Kalvin Philips, still making advanaces to Introduce Kovacic from Chelsea.
I really do think it'll be a done deal because Mauricio Pochetino has plans to recruit his own players especially for the midfielder's.
He's finally won the Champions League, now he can explore but no Saudi Arabian club wants him currently.
Maybe it's true as you said that Gundogan has got it all with manchester city and he will look at the future with new challenges with other teams in the next season. Barcelona are even very interested in getting Gundogan, but for now Gundogan has not provided any clarity regarding his future even for now I don't think he will think about it because he is on vacation after helping Manchester City win the Trophy UCL.

I feel that his impressive performance with Manchester City this season will spark the interest of several big teams to get him, especially at the end of this month he will clearly have his status as a free transfer player which will make a number of big European clubs try to approach him.
1155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 13, 2023, 08:06:22 PM
I can imagine the dream team that is already prepared by ancelotti. The comeback of brahim diaz and fran garcia to the madrid was even making the club even better. I hope that mbappe will able to go to the real madrid after PSG will be announcing to sell him.
Madrid can take a step to secure him. IM very happy mbappe has been deciding to leave from PSG. I can imagine how strong real madrid with mbappe played as a replacement for benzema.
Madrid will have crazy attacking lines. Mbappe is very suit with madrid. I hope that if real madrid will able to get him.

It will be so good to see new real madrid with mbappe on it. Madrid fans dream come true. Perez has been also saying yes for mbappe. that's a positive signal for real madrid to get mbappe.
Real madrid just need to find additional defenders that can perform like rudiger. The typical player like haaland must be anticipated by real madrid next season.

Brahim Diaz return to real madrid is a breath of fresh air for ancelotti because he is getting another edit of energy to wade through next season. Diaz is a high-quality player that Real Madrid can count on next season. During his loan spell at Ac milan Diaz was able to show a very impressive appearance for 3 seasons with Ac milan. Well one of the things that makes us sure Real madrid will be stronger in the next season is that their target in the transfer window is that they are star players like Mbappe and Harry kane.

Real madrid is one of the big teams I believe the advantages they have will make it easier for them to seduce star players to join them in this transfer window this season. For Harry Kane, Ancelotti will likely continue to monitor developments where they hope that Tottenham will be able to lower the price for Harry Kane, which Real Madrid can reach.

I don't understand Pep Guadiola, just one Champions league, he is challenging Real Madrid that has 13 champions leagues. or was he high on something? it will take Manchester city like 30 years to get 13 Champions league. because they can't defend the title next year. even if they do it will be hard to start to compare themselves to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid has no contender when it comes to champions league, their closest rival is Ac Milan, they has 7 Champions league title. And not Manchester city.
It was just a joke from pep guardiola when he managed to bring manchester city to win the ucl trophy for the first time. In my opinion, he was very happy at that time and he made quite surprising words where he would challenge Real Madrid for the UCL trophy in the following season. I think things like that happen a lot in football and it's just a joke.

I think that Manchester City will not be able to catch up with Real Madrid, which has collected 14 UCL trophies, it will be quite impossible to happen because it takes quite a long time.  I think Pep Guardiola is giving a signal that they can say anything about the UCL because they already have 1 UCL trophy they got this season.

Even though he hasn't been able to provide a trophy for Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has been successful enough to prove that he is still productive in scoring goals. In 16 matches with Al-Nassr, Ronaldo managed to become #2 as the top scorer of the clubs under Talisca. he success with 14 goals, while Talisca with 20 goals. So, it is not impossible that next season with a full playing schedule, Ronaldo can give his first trophy for Al-Nassr. So far there has been no disciplinary action reported. This means that he has no regrets about his decision to play at Al-Nassr.
I think it's very natural that Ronaldo failed to bring Al nassr to become champions in his first season with Al Nassr, because as we know he went to Al nassr to be precise in the second half of the season which made him not have much time to help the club win the title in  this season. But another thing that is special is that he was able to make many big contributions to al nassr in other words he became the second top scorer on the al nassr team, which indicates that Ronaldo is still very aggressive in front of the opponent's goal.

Well next season I think Al nassr will be more difficult to provide resistance to al ittihad because Al ittihad surprisingly they managed to bring in Benzema to strengthen their squad in defending the title for next season.

Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan are rumored to be leaving Manchester City soon. I know they have been important players in the Manchester City squad in recent seasons, so I think Manchester City will have a very hard time finding replacements for both of them if both players leave this season.

Gundogan has been linked with move to Barcelona, then Silva will go to PSG. If these reports are true, then of course Manchester City are in big trouble especially about finding the right replacement.
It doesn't ignored anymore, where from the start it was indicated that Gondogan would leave Manchester City in this summer's transfer window. He has with manchester city for 7 seasons and he has won many trophies with manchester city.  I think news developments are still a big question at the moment because it could be that he will accept an offer to stay with Manchester City next season because Manchester City has submitted a contract extension proposal for Gondogan.

Barcelona are interested in getting Gondogan in this summer's transfer window, especially with free agent status where Gundogan contract with Manchester City will end in June. I think his certainty of staying with Manchester City will not come true after he postponed the delay to sign the contract proposed by Manchester City.
1159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 12, 2023, 03:25:38 PM
the Manchester City team was built with process and now they are very solidly formed, it is possible for this team to continue to be in good form in the next 5 years or more.
and I'm sure that if Pep Guardiola stays at Manchester City in the next few seasons, they will be able to win many titles.
They actually dominated Premier League in the last six seasons but many players who experienced those successful years with them might leave Etihad in this summer. Winning Champions League is a greatest achievement they wanted to gain with Manchester City and now they had it. Players like Gundogan, Silva are open to move and some players like Laporte, Cancelo will not want to stay too. They want to play more often because Euro 2024 will come soon.

Manchester City are rich and Pep is a genius coach but sometimes, you can not get good replacements just by spending money and buying new players. Klopp and Liverpool are examples when their trio Salah-Firmino-Mane broken, they got more problems in attacking.

Quote
The Premier League has very tight competition from other teams, therefore teams are required to continue to develop much better.
currently the most competitive league is the Premier League even though man CIty has dominated in the last few seasons but that is inseparable from the strength and consistency of this team which is very good.
Next season, Manchester City will get more difficulty to protect their crown in Premier League because logically Arsenal would become stronger, same for Newcastle United. Manchester United, Chelsea can get improvement in the summer too.
All their dreams have been perfectly fulfilled this season, some of them are looking for new challenges for their next career like Gundogan. This situation is indeed difficult for Manchester City to accept, especially since Gundogan is one of the players who has shone quite a bit this season. Of course, all efforts will be made by Manchester City to keep Gundogan from leaving in this season's transfer market. On the one hand, Manchester City has no objection to letting Cancelo go because he is no longer a player on Pep's main list.

Gundogan has attracted quite a bit of attention in this season's transfer window where many European clubs are very interested in getting his signature, especially Barcelona who are very interested in getting Gundogan in this season transfer market. I think even though some players choose to leave Manchester City in the transfer market this season, they can still balance their squad in the next season.

Waw it’s kind of surprising to me that people are already predicting the winner of next premier league, it’s too early for that, we should wait till the season starts first and let’s see how all the teams are going to perform, we can’t use last season to judge how each team are going to perform in the coming season. Don’t be surprised if Arsenal that performed very well this season even as they couldn’t win the league might end up performing poorly next season, or maybe Liverpool was trying to catch up at the end of the season that just ended, then you believe they are going to perform well next season? Let the season start first, then we can all make predictions.
He is like one of the Liverpool fans who is quite frustrated with the achievements made by Liverpool this season. In fact, he is one of the fans who is quite sure that Liverpool will win the EPL trophy next season. I think it could happen quickly or vice versa Liverpool for next season they can learn from their mistakes this season. But as far as that goes I think next season is still quite a long way off and we should rather not say that for now.

I agree with you that at the moment we can monitor the progress of the epl teams in the transfer window if they get some injections of energy rather than new faces it will certainly be easy for us to judge who will be stronger for next season.
