I'm not going to escrow money with anyone when all you have to do is post your information here. The ball's in your court.

No, Jeremy, the ball is in your court. I don't dox for free.
Anyone else find the idea of this bet pretty tasteless?

Did you witness it with your own eyes? Then by definition you don't know, so shut yer shit spewin pie hole m'kay? Try having a discussion as if you aren't some kind of mongoloid wanna be expert.

No. I do know; I'm not a shit for brains conspiracy theorist with his head up his ass. Im pretty sure that colloidal silver you were peddling on the forums a while back gave you severe brain damage, so I can understand why you buy into this bullshit.

Thanks for proof you never learned to stand upright. Use brain more, fingers and lips less.
11426  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug War on: July 27, 2012, 02:33:50 AM
Drug smuggling conspiracies aside, as far as our own CIA, et all doing the smuggling. The benefit to the US of having so much illicit opium produced in this area is in the added burden it adds from the addicts who now have much easier access to the end products in Russia, China, etc etc.

Exactly, just like the situation that caused the Boxer Rebellion. In addition to weakening opposing governments they also have a steady stream of funds to divert to black ops, because if it has to be appropriated from congress it is on the record. It costs them nearly nothing to produce and is sold for exorbitant prices usually at the expense of the target markets. In this case the large majority of heroin goes to Russian consumers.
11427  Other / Politics & Society / Re: AR-15 lower (the important part with the serial number) from 3d printer on: July 27, 2012, 12:30:54 AM
http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_118/579913_3D_printed_lower___yes__it_works_.html

So he said he has fired over 200 rounds so far with no problems. What does this mean for society? We will probably live to see an age where 3d printers can make anything out of poop and dirt, and then  a 3d printer that can make a 3d printer! Bottom line, fuck patents, ring in the printer's age.

Nice. And if my understanding of the US gun laws are correct, since that makes you the "manufacturer" of the weapon (the lower receiver, with the serial number is, effectively the "gun", and everything else can be bought as replacement parts), you don't have to register it or anything?

And yes, Printers can already make ~60% of the parts needed to make another printer. Certainly all the structural parts, and they're working on the control circuits. Printing circuit boards is a complex process.

Here's a nifty little story By Cory Doctorow, "Printcrime" http://craphound.com/?p=573

Even if you made a zip gun out of some old steel pipe, according to the law you are still required to register it.

I know this is splitting hairs- but that is not what is on page 3, still don't know where that chart is from even if it mirrors the table. Seems fairly obvious to me that is nearly a 10x increase in acreage... you can't just dismiss the lowest year because it was an "outlier". That's not how it works. Have you ever considered perhaps the invasion might have been in part motivated by the local's eradication of the poppy fields, and the subsequent production restoration and increase might have also be a direct goal of the invasion in the first place? I am not sure how you can argue that the most significant reduction of poppy growth in the recorded history of Afghanistan is irrelevant. This says to me in short that the locals said no to the status quo, and the status quo told them to each shit and like it.

I still don't know what the hell you are looking at. This is what is on page 3...
11430  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug War on: July 26, 2012, 10:15:48 PM
You ask for sources from me but don't provide any of your own? For all I know that chart was made on a etch-a-sketch.

My bad, it is from your link, from the table you advised looking at, from the row you said was important. I think we are on the same side here though...
That is not the table I advised looking at. It is a simple index, not a chart. See page 3. I love how cherry picking always seems to be the thing the other guy does.

I am aware, it is a Steam issue related to the fact that I have an extended character in my profile name. If I remove it it restores its normal operations. Also, telling me you doubt it is not very helpful - clearly I already doubt it, why else would I make this thread?
11434  Other / Meta / Can I change my avatar without losing my "grandfathered" signature image? on: July 26, 2012, 08:05:34 PM
Anyone know?
11435  Other / Off-topic / Re: Possible Bitcoin connection to Colorado shooting? on: July 26, 2012, 06:10:19 AM
there are a lot of points that can go on both sides, more interpretations will air, and more evidence will come out for both parties. Is there a motive to stage this sort of thing? Sure. Could it be done? Sure. Was it done? Maybe. I will say the story seems a whole lot more fishy than most other stories of the type.

Most articulate sensible post I have seen so far. The truth is NO ON HERE REALLY KNOWS. Stop pretending like you have more facts than everyone else on BOTH SIDES. Ruling out either of the possibilities is just as retarded as the opposing view point. It is like two people arguing which leg is better to cut off, the right or the left. Maybe you should just put down the axe.

You take something said about you and spin it back at the opposition.
Now you are just being refractory and have taken my point and then just flipped it back on me as if you made it.
This is getting too meta for me. If getting the last word on a point is important to you, feel free to take it. Discussing this more will solve nothing.

This is info management 101. Ignorance is strength, freedom is slavery, I'm rubber you are glue, whatever you say I will repeat back to you. Quite childish.
You seem to think we are in a work of fiction. In this particular fictional case, you guys would not really be spreading the truth, but in-fact would be a segment of the inner party set up to weed out rebellious individuals.

Inner party? They have thousands of monkeys doing exactly what you do. Its not a grand high conspiracy, it is a matter of public record.

Way to be lazy and only read the first paragraph. First of all that is JUST 2004, second that is GLOBAL ILLICIT POPPY PRODUCTION, not Afghanistan's production. Go down to "Table 1. GLOBAL ILLICIT CULTIVATION OF OPIUM POPPY AND PRODUCTION OF OPIUM, 1990-2004", page 3, and look at the jump in acreage after 2001.
