Bump after some months.
One merit source was added to Portuguese board, but it's not enough in my opinion.
Other boards like the Russian and Indonesian have highly merited users, but Portuguese board does not. Nobody is able to rank up just posting in the Portuguese board.

I had this crazy idea some other day. I was thinking about this wall observer pool. Pages of this thread could be used to count time.
What if instead of "December 15 closing price" we had something like page 24000 closing price"? Lol

Bastante interessante. Eu realmente sempre ignorei as referências do white paper do bitcoin.

Congratulations Lucius and oeleo.
Hard competition.
I will keep trying until accepted one day. This is the best campaign in my opinion.

2. I just say that LTC address can start with 3 also, why is this shitposting by you?
I don't think it is shitposting, but it is quite irrelevant because nobody is expected to be paid in litecoin here, and there are other coins which starts with 3 (like many of the recently Bitcoin forks). Do I need to specify that this is not a bitcoin private address? And all this drama is so off topic...

I would feel fucked up if I didn't have a backup. #DYOR
Well, that's right. I just use a different back up method. Authy. Your method works well too.

Guys, guys... What are you talking about no backup for GA 2FA?
You can fucking write down the "seed", store it in a safe place, and recover from it if needed..
Also, another option is using FIDO 2FA which everyone with a hardware wallet could use. It would be really easy to implement too. And it makes sense, because... crypto, you know.
Have you ever tried to fuking writing down this crazy GA seed ? It's not like a recovery phrase with 12 words... Looks much more like an address. I have dozens of 2fa seeds, if I had to write all of them I would be fuked up.

Which is actually a bit of a problem... I've always found GA to be a little obscure on how to retrieve your infos if you lost your phone or it suddenly stops working.
Google authenticatior (ga) is not obscure about anything. They clearly state at their website that if you lose your phone, it is over. There is no backup or anything. It is safer, because it cannot be hacked... So safe that even you cannot access if you lose it. What you can do is use Authy instead of GA, which is backed up in a cloud... It is less secure, as it can be hacked. More information here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3178131.0But don't really see the point of 2FA on the forum though Oo Not like there is BTC stored here. And hacking an account has 0 value as it would soon be tagged as stolen.
Those accounts are valuable. They do not hold BTC, but they may have sentiment value... They also have can be used to earn BTC through campaigns/bounties. They also carry your reputation, as some of those accounts have holder hundreds of BTC as escrow or something like that .. some also are used by professional developers.. So, those accounts should be more protected in my opinion.

^ My theory is that there was a bonafide intention to create that new forum software but the development never reached a satisfactory result. Probably many of those initial 6000BTC (is this a completely confirmed exact amount btw?) were spent along the path at price WAY lower than todays.
The value was not spend. I saw the address few months ago and it was intact. I don't want tk find it now but someone posted in a topic few time ago. I doubt this new forum software is going to beê released anytime soon. I agree with you about 2fa and recovery, that's urgent. Hilariousandco said it will be released soon (automatic recovery). 2fa is a dream which will never come true. However it would generate a lot of problems too, as people would soon be crying about losing their Google authenticatior...

Vai no REPUTATION e conta a situação.

I think is possible to pay low fees when sending ERC20 tokens, but as i tested not all ERC20 tokens works in that way, some of them has too high gas price in my opinion, because they not value so much in fiat.
You define the gas price. Those ERC-20 tokens you are talking about probably have a high Gas Limit. You should always use the recommended gas limit, there is no problem if you put too much Gas , because you will be refunded if you send too much gas. Gas Price is the atribute you can reduce, and that is what is going to control the fees of the transaction.

Pergunta atual
O que acontece se o hashrate cair demais? Existem mecanismos no protocolo do Bitcoin para defender a rede nesse caso, a longo prazo?

Let's suppose you bought 1 BTC. The idea to hold is that you will always have one btc. Holding, you will never lose this 1 BTC. If you sell at a 10% "stop loss"you may fall in a bear trap, and when you try to buy again the price may be higher and you will buy only 0.75 with that money Holding is really a good strategy in a bull market. In a bear market it is not a good strategy. However, cryptocurrencies have a long term upward moviment, so holding was the best strategy so far. You are not a good holder :p

Hi guys
I have 3 questions. (1) How is it possible to send ERC20 Tokens without gas? (2) If I want to send ERC20 Tokens from, lets say Account A with 0 Ethereum to Account B with Ethereum and have account B pay for the transaction gas, how do I do that? (3) How is this guy in the examples doing it and is the gas being paid and by which account, the sender or receiver?
To me it looks like no gas is being paid, which is very strange.
I've tried googling answers to this but I'm getting the same answers "It's Not Possible you Noob""
Ok, First of all I will tell you that this is a bitcoin forum, and this post should be in Altcoin discussion session. For your questions, first of all you need to understand that ethereum is a "world computer", where everything is proceessed by the whole network. So, if it was possible to make a zero gas transaction, that would easily result in a dos attack (denial of service). For example, someone would create a script of infinity transactions in a loop, until the network goes down. What prevents a DOS attack in ethereum Network is that everything costs gas. So you have to pay for everything you do in the network. So, the whole gas system was created in such a way to prevent this from happening. As gavin wood said, in a world computer, waste of computer resources would mean waste of world resources. Regarding your example, you can see that the user spent 37263 gas. However, the gas prices was set to zero. I believe there are two possible explainations for that: 1- the gas price is not zero (0.000000), but something so low that etherscan consider as zero, such as 0.00000001 eth . 2- the owner of the transaction is a miner, and he decided to include this transaction in a block anyway. . I am not sure if that is possible in ethereum network, but it MAY be. I made this post explaining ethereum gas system some time ago: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3285767.msg34270190#msg34270190You cannot control how much gas is necessary to make a transaction. If you set a low gas for a transaction, it won't be processed. What you can set is the gas PRICE, which is , in this case, low. I don't believe it is zero, but so low that etherscan cannot see it. As you can see, he paid a lot of gas for this transaction. Who decides how much is the minimum acceptable gas price is the miner.

Can you sign a message from an old address? Quite a gap in your posts from 2016 to present and your posts from then to now seem very different. Maybe that's the case of putting a neutral/negative trust until he proves he is the owner of the address? Because it really looks like a hacked/bought account, and his trust is from 2016/2013, prior to hack/bought.
