11441  Other / Meta / Re: What about these accounts? on: October 29, 2018, 05:08:48 PM
The giveaway is only for Member+? Or am i missing something?
I'm not sure about this. I think that with "member" he means the literal meaning of the word (users who are part of the forum) and not the rank "Member".

Otherwise, there wouldn't be so many Newbie/Jr. Members posting there every day for more than a month (they are probably receiving their free 0.01 mBTC every day).
11442  Local / Primeiros Passos (Iniciantes) / Re: Como vender minhas Criptos? on: October 29, 2018, 03:11:35 PM

11446  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [CoinPayments.net] ShapeShift Notice on: October 28, 2018, 01:56:55 AM
I wonder what will happen with services using the ShapeShift API. Technically speaking, the services using their API have an account already, and for that reason should continue to offer people conversions without verification as long as the amounts are below the legal norm.
You will need to authenticate with an account to use it. That's why CoinPayments and every other third-party wallet using Shapeshift exchange services will require you to authenticate yourself before being able to use the exchange services.

Sad news: in the future (when KYC becomes mandatory for every transaction), you will have to authenticate yourself with your Shapeshift membership account to use it (even with third party wallets such as Coinomi and Exodus).

If you are using a wallet that integrates with Shapeshift, you will need to authenticate once through the wallet to enjoy the benefits of your membership and to then use the http://shapeshift.io service,” explained the company.
https://news.bitcoin.com/shapeshift-membership-user-information/

From Shapeshift API: "Authorization is a new field required for all ShapeShift API endpoints now that Membership is implemented."

11447  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Smartphone HTC Exodus on: October 26, 2018, 09:23:25 PM

Exatamente.
11448  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: October 26, 2018, 03:18:23 PM
fucking scammers. 2 days ago I sent them 150 dollars - I received 3 keys for 45$, and one key was invalid, 100 dollars were stolen from me, I wrote them to the EMAIL - they do not answer. SCAMMERS! DO NOT WORK WITH THEM TO ANYONE
Are you saying that after they spent ~100BTC ($640.000) in their signature campaign (advertisement) for over one year and almost another hundred BTC in forum ad slots, they decided to ruin their reputation for $100?  Roll Eyes

When did you write them an email? And to which email was it?
11449  Other / Meta / Re: Almost 2.5M users registered but only 30k accounts on: October 26, 2018, 03:08:29 PM
I'm pretty sure this DB only has data about users who received or sent at least one merit (since the data is probably taken from theymos' weekly merit history file). If there is no merit transaction coming from your account, you can't be in that database.

So, 30858 accounts have received/sent merit at least once.

This is a tool that allow you to run full SQL queries over the merit data and is based on SQLite. If you are familiar with SQL you know the possibilities are basically endless or limited to your SQL knowledge.
11450  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Lockbox Blockchain Hardware Wallet - Powered by Ledger! on: October 26, 2018, 01:00:20 PM
I’m curious to know what are the “exclusive features” of Lockbox, since it looks exactly like an Ledger Nano S but with a different skin (just like the special Pizza Day version). According to the Lockbox page, they are not the same:

Quote
What’s the difference between Lockbox and Ledger Nano S?
Lockbox has been designed specifically by Ledger for Blockchain. It features custom Blockchain firmware, enabling the exclusive features of Lockbox. Lockbox is not compatible with Ledger products such as Ledger Live.

Stupid hacker that already got 0.26271888BTC. That's the point of this thread (warn people about those fake emails, so they don't fall for it).
11454  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do not send bitcoins to extortionists on: October 25, 2018, 11:42:04 AM
Yeah, this has been happening a lot with a few users. This user made a thread yesterday saying how he already got tons of emails like this saying that he got hacked/has a rat installed/know his password/etc... And he put everything (with every Bitcoin address) in this website: https://www.seekoin.com/address.php

This thread: Scammer addresses directory

<...>
It is virtually impossible to change (see Change username/name on the bitcointalk forum), and it would entail paying 50BTC to become a VIP member to get the job done.

Since your account is still a Newbie with not much activity and not already tied to business (at least that I could see), consider creating a new account with the correct name and using that one instead. You don't have to delete your current account. In fact, you can't delete an account. At best, you can try to delete the posts (not all may be deletable, depending on the board you posted them in) and perhaps create a small post in off-topic that states which your new account is with a link to it, in case any person following your account wonders where you’ve gone off to.

The problem is that he is already using the username he wants, but with the wrong capitalization. And the forum accounts are not case-sensitive, so he can’t create the account VELA.re if he’s already using VeLa.RE.
11457  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Levei um ban de 7 dias por postar um proof of authentication on: October 24, 2018, 02:50:55 AM
Acabei de voltar de um ban parecido. Aconselho ver melhor as regras.

Se for rápido tudo bem. Do contrário é 7 dias chorando Cheesy

E, que raios é proof of authentication?

11458  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to regain access to your accounts if you your Google Auth Device on: October 24, 2018, 02:46:42 AM
I have also experience this kind of scenario with my Kucoin account and I have not manage to retrieve it. I dont care about it anymore though. I dont have much in that account anyway. Lesson learned: DO NOT LOSE YOUR PHONE.
No one ever expects to lose their phones. The lesson should be to use an 2FA OTP app that supports backups (such as andOTP for Android) or write down your secret token/save the QR code to help you restore your codes if you ever lose or break your phone.
11459  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum always showing 'synchronising'? on: October 23, 2018, 06:26:12 PM
Update your Electrum to the latest version.

AFAIK there are synchronization issues for versions below 2.9.3;
