11461  Other / Meta / Re: Trust spam happens on: April 05, 2015, 11:07:13 PM
I just left a review noting symantec hacks websites to steal keys and resell them (after he publicly admitted so) and I instantly got trust spam from several accounts, very similarly as OP. So I'm pretty sure he's the one who left that spam for OP too.
haha wow that is a lot of negative feedback. Well I guess we now know who was behind all those spam negatives that Vod got not long ago. None of them have any credibility though, especially considering that they all have negative trust
11462  Other / Meta / Re: Woke up this morning... on: April 05, 2015, 11:04:33 PM
To ban a contributing member like BlindMayorBitcorn for basically nothing,  and to allow the rampant trollfest from NLC&sockpuppets, is in my opinion completely insane, makes no sense whatsoever, and is really really backwards.

If you guys care about this forum, reinstating newbie jail, would be a better move than banning BlindMayorBitcorn for a +1 or whatever.

I have been in touch with the admins regarding this in the past.

Also the constant references to pedophilia seem to be ok? complete overt racism is ok, spamming the thread for months and months on end is ok... but a +1 or a short post is not?

Someone needs to pull their head out of their arse imho.

400 billion times this ^

The problem is that he is not wearing a paid sig ad, so for the staff his post are all substantial and he is not trying to boost his post count.

*NLC

Odd logic this..

It is not my logix, but (I think) the forum team's logic. They will ban only who is wearing a sig add and post insubstantial message here at bitcointalk.org . However, NLC is a troll and "be a troll" isn't against the forum rules, isn't it (correct me).
I don't think he was trying to boost his post count. I think he is regarded within the community as being someone that meaningfully contributes when he posts (I say this because carra23 is someone that tends to reject most people that apply to his campaigns and also, based on a number of reports, tends to actively ask people if they want to join based on Huh criteria - I would assume that it is based on post quality), and as a result was actively asked to join a paid signature deal, which he agreed to (this is after a very long history of not wearing a paid signature). After he joined, his posting habits did not appear to change, and consisted of a lost of pictures poking fun of the subject at hand along with generally short posts.

I would say that based on the fact that he had a history of not wearing a paid signature, was actively asked to participate in the paid signature deal (assuming this can be substantiated), and the fact that he has made 58 out of the 60 required posts to receive payment in only 5 days (but has 30 days to finish) would mean that he would probably not fall under the category as a "signature spammer" and a 'paid sig + insubstantial posts' ban is probably not in order.
11463  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FuckIdolPlus scammer $56 -> Please banned him on: April 05, 2015, 10:41:09 PM
Now symantec has left several fake reviews in my profile from several accounts because of the honest feedback I left in his  Roll Eyes You're clearly showing the kind of person you are (although that doesn't prove your accusation against FuckIdolPlus aren't -or are- true of course).
I don't think feedback left by either party has any real credibility so I don't think it matters that you got negative trust. I think it is pretty clear based on the screenshots in the OP that he was scammed though. I see a PM confirming that a whole bunch of keys were going to be purchased for ~$200, then a fewer number of keys were going to be sold for ~$110, escrow is agreed to but then for some reason they decide they can't wait the few hours that escrow would take so they decide that the OP would send 1/2 of the payment first, would receive the keys then send the second half of the payment FuckIdolPlus acknowledged receipt of the payment and in this thread admitted to sending only 4 working keys which is significantly less then the number of keys agreed to
11464  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FuckIdolPlus scammer $56 -> Please banned him on: April 05, 2015, 07:16:08 PM
You exploit Microsoft too. What's the difference?

Muhammad Zakir - what makes you think this is a false scam accusation? Unless I'm missing something, symantec has provided a good amount of logs proving so.

I will find here: Skype: tanya.kuthiala.3 and E-Mail: tanya.kuthiala.3@gmail.com and I'll figure out something like this

https://www.facebook.com/tanya.kuthiala.3 or https://www.facebook.com/tanya.kuthiala (This is Indians)

PS: Here's a bitch in Indians...That is why Muhammad Zakir trying to justify the actions of this scam

Muhammad Zakir - https://i.imgur.com/Rmv7Hju.png (This is Indians)

I don't think Skype actually makes you confirm your email address so it is possible that the email was just randomly input when the Skype was created.

Do those Facebook accounts actually have an association with that email address? I understand that Facebook assigns the username based on the name of the person when they sign up so I think it would be unusual for someone to use a Skype handle that is the same of an essentially randomly assigned username by Facebook
11465  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a loan Of 0.01 for 4 hours on: April 05, 2015, 03:49:29 PM
The amount you are offing is barely enough to cover the tx fee to send you the loan. I am not sure why anyone would be willing to essentially lend you money for free
11466  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for $80 loan in BTC - colleral included on: April 05, 2015, 03:41:44 PM
If you are selling the domain it might be a fair price, however you have actually posted in the lending section which is not designed for sales.

If you looked at the digital goods section and the auction section, you will see tons of threads of domain spammers/squatters trying to sell their worthless domains with no luck.

The domain appraiser sites generally are not able to give accurate valuations, at least this is what I understand
11467  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for $80 loan in BTC - colleral included on: April 05, 2015, 03:28:11 PM
Looking for $80 loan in BTC, repayment in 1 week.
Collateral:
Domain - *oder.tv - registered at namecheap - whois protected
(First letter censored so it doesn't get indexed on google), first letter is the letter in the alphabet next to J.
Why would the domain koder.tv ever have *any* kind of value to anyone? Unless you have built up brand recognition, there is zero reason that someone would ever visit that site without the use of advertising
11468  Economy / Services / Re: Signature designer contest 0.22btc :) on: April 05, 2015, 01:20:17 PM
@ izanagi your full member signature was awesome i really liked it  Smiley

@ roslinpl all of your signatures was what we was looking for i did need to ask for other opinions to make it fair and they also say to choose yours so well done!

1st roslinpl winner of 0.2btc total - 0.17btc to be paid by escrow when he is ready and the 0.03btc by me whenever you post your address, thnx!

2nd izanagi like i said your full member was fantastic but you had real stiff competition. You win 0.05btc from escrow when he gets on.

Please leave your addresses when you get a moment so escrow knows where to send!

Awesome stuff guys well done!
@roslinpl and izanagi, it is safe to either post or PM the BB code of your submissions and once bralex confirms that he has received them I will go ahead and release escrow to addresses of your choice
11469  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Newest Diff thread April 5 to April 18th on: April 05, 2015, 08:37:00 AM
Hmmm, this is a hard one to guess. I think I am going to guess +2.51 to +2.75%. This works out to roughly what the 1,006 average block time works out to if it remains constant
11470  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering Loans [No Collateral] on: April 05, 2015, 06:19:08 AM
Loan amount required: 2 BTC
Interest: 2.1 BTC (can be discussed over PM)
Loan time: Repay in 2 months.
Address: 1Mq7bscPayr1Anoe4jdoApAnJ5EviumyP9
Colleteral: PM.

P.S. I can explain to you why i need this money in-depth via PM.

Are you an alt of Deathwing?

Loan amount required: 2 BTC (if possible, 1 is enough too.)
Interest: 2.1 BTC (can be discussed over PM)
Loan time: Should be maximum 2 months.
Address: 1Death52MEY2f3WKGGmNCz6ganDznpexLN
Colleteral: If required, PM.
LOL I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw those two posts. If you do end up lending to them, I would make sure that any collateral is liquid, stable and 100% in control by either escrow or yourself prior to sending funds to either of these people
11471  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan 0.049 with collateral on: April 05, 2015, 05:22:42 AM
I advice to keep your 0.039BTC than investing on scrypt.cc
Thank me later
Even though the above post is signature spam it is good advice. Most/all cloud mining sites are going to end up being a scam sooner or later.

IMO the collateral should be sufficient especially if the lender is able to make one post every two weeks to increase activity
11472  Economy / Auctions / Re: [w.t.s] Senior member account. on: April 05, 2015, 05:19:07 AM
this auction will end 04-12-2015 so i can bid to this

@0.13
increments bid 0.025 Last price was 0.125
I don't see any min increment in the OP or anywhere before that post. I would personally accept that bid as it will hopefully encourage the other bidder to outbid him.

I think .025 is a big increase for a low priced item like a senior account. A more appropriate increase would be .01 but .005 should be fine.
11473  Economy / Collectibles / Re: For sale: 10g gold cube on: April 05, 2015, 05:15:25 AM
If you won it then there is little reason to want to get rid of it efficiently so it would probably make sense for you to sell it for fiat and/or a coin dealer and then use that money to purchase Bitcoin via the currency exchange section - you may end up even getting more Bitcoin then if you sold it directly if you open a thread and can wait a day or two/three for a good deal.

The hassle would also be lower for you because you would not need to deal with shipping/packaging plus whoever you sell to will likely want to wait a good amount of time to either pay you or release escrow while they try to get the coin tested to make sure it is not any kind of fake.
11474  Economy / Collectibles / Re: For sale: 10g gold cube on: April 05, 2015, 04:57:56 AM
I see that their domain was registered in 2006 so I may be wrong on the shilling but it is still very dangerous to buy from an unknown site.

I hope you understand that there is a good reason for paranoia on here because of the large number of scam attempts often times them being very elaborate.
11475  Economy / Collectibles / Re: For sale: 10g gold cube on: April 05, 2015, 04:52:42 AM
Does anybody (beside OP) have any experience with bitgold.com?
Read the homepage, the concept is great, but for obvious reason is trust an issue if dealing with this company.

They are a start up. Maybe reach out to the multiple venture capital companies listed on their website homepage?

It sounds like there is a good possibility that you are a shill for bitgold. I am going to speculate that you don't hope that anyone buys from you, but rather you are hoping that people see your thread and decide to buy from bitgold and receive either nothing or a fake.
11476  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Bitcointalk.org Account prices on: April 05, 2015, 02:44:03 AM
Your method, in theory is a good way to determine how much accounts are worth, however  you also need to factor in the fact that certain level accounts are more rare then others. For example newbie and junior member accounts will take very little effort to create/build so there is more then an ample supply of them. Hero accounts on the other hand take years to build up so they will tend to sell for prices above what they can earn in ~1 month via a sig deal (although their values have fallen dramatically over the last several months).

Miner was received, QuickSeller did a good job making sure everything was exactly as described and expected.  Thanks.
Thank you. It was a pleasure working with you.

It proves that they are able to sign a message from the address today. It prevents someone coming in 6 months and claiming they were a newbie and posted a mtgox address that they cannot sign from because the exchange controls the private keys, not them directly.

They can also claim their dog ate the harddrive or something more reasonable along those lines. Im not sure what exactly would be gained by that claim. If you are unable to provide a signed message in 6 month with the address you posted here you might as well have not posted it.
Well it would be an excuse that a hacker could make 6 months from now as to why they cannot sign a message from the address that the real owner of the account posted 6 months in the past.
11479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BurtW arrested on: April 04, 2015, 10:29:27 PM
Most of the examples in his segment would not have happened had people not been ignorant about their rights.

Thats a bit hard on people generally. The cops have been trained specifically on techniques to get you to unwittingly waive your rights.

You're experience was probably exceptional, as there are many cases of people who refused the search, and were forced to wait for hours while K-9 units arrived on the scene. Most people would give in before that happened, thinking that the constitution would protect them.
If you ask if you are free to go, and they do not have probable cause to continue to detain you then they have to let you go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2d7-0TDsxnw

before you reply witnessed pls check the message that you are quoting. that post doesnt have a message and its signature so he cant prove that he own that address..

pls put the current date in the message of the signature

I makes no sense to post the address of someone else as it would only allow said someone to regain control over your account. A signed message is also not needed IMHO as this will obviously not increase the credibility of the post, only time will. Lets say I gain access to an account this morning and posted an address a few minutes later. This address will hold less credit over an address that was posted last year.

When signing a message, one should allways include a date, yes.

IMHO MAsterV's message is very generic and might be misused.
It proves that they are able to sign a message from the address today. It prevents someone coming in 6 months and claiming they were a newbie and posted a mtgox address that they cannot sign from because the exchange controls the private keys, not them directly.
