Great initiative. As for someone new, can you share greater light on your technical analysis. And if possible, send the noob in direction towards better TA. What I am asking is how can I learn TA for my self. I have tried youtube but the information is so scattered.

My advice would be to dive in and actually trade with real money and in a live setting.  Since you have already watched videos and I assume have read some books then the next step is to learn through experience.  Why not start from a small amount and start trading with that.  You'll soon find out that actual trading is different from looking at the markets.

Now onward to Factom...

FCT/BTC:  A Dead Cat Bounce?

So I just read the news on Coindesk that Factom got 4.2 million USD in series A funding that was lead by none other than Tim Draper:  http://www.coindesk.com/factom-blockchain-series-a-4-2-million/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+CoinDesk+%28CoinDesk+-+The+Voice+of+Digital+Currency%29

So the FCT market got crazy and there's buying everywhere giving the shorts a little cringe on why this is happening now.  But the real question is, "Is this a dead cat bounce or is it the start of a reversal?"  In my experience this usually means a DCB.  These movements are normal in trading markets and nothing ever traded in an exchange goes down or up in a straight line.  FCT still is ok for now if you are shorting it but always keep in mind to protect yourself and set a stop loss and be ready to cover you shorts.

11482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: October 05, 2016, 02:02:36 AM
But Manchester United have problems in the Premier League and not performing as expected despite spending all this money for new expensive players. Also Mourinho himself has said that English teams don't care much about UEFA championships because Premier League is their main target every year. And I think the United board won't be happy if United are out of the Champions League again next year due to lower ranking in the local championship.

Really?  He said that?  Can you please post where you got the quote from because as far as I know all European clubs want to win UEFA championships because that means more money for the club.  And as far as United is concerned their squad is deep and they have the quality to win the Europa League and the EPL.  But as what the reason is for their under-performance is anybody's guess.  They have no excuse to be doing this bad, both manager and players.

It is just silly of him to said that, he is just showing his stupidity to the world as usual. Even if he focused on premier league alone he wont be able to achieve that, atleast not with that bad performance. He needs to focus on europa league as well as the consolation trophy incase he cant ein the premier league trophy

I don't think he said anything of that sort unless I'm mistaken.  Before the beginning of the season Mourinho has explicitly said he wants to win at United.  Be it the Europa League, FA Cup, the League Cup or the EPL, he expressed his desire to win it all at United.  So maybe Mourinho said something like it but it doesn't mean he shares the same idea for United.
11483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 205: Alvarez vs McGregor on: October 05, 2016, 01:21:41 AM
Jose Aldo Junior is dead serious about leaving the UFC and not even Conor McGregor could entice him back.
http://www.foxsports.com/ufc/story/jose-aldo-says-not-even-a-rematch-with-conor-mcgregor-would-bring-him-back-to-the-ufc-100416

Poor Jose Aldo can't even get a shot from Conor McGregor after their 1st match waiting him for nothing. I'm just waiting for the their rematch, but Alvarez got the opportunity for the UFC 205, this going to be a good match though. Hope to see bloody fight, a street fight in the octagon.

Drama.  There was an article somewhere (I'll look for the link) that said Dana White has declared that McGregor's FW belt will have to be vacated or he'll be forced to do so if he wins the LW championship.  If this is true what would this mean for Aldo?  Will he become FW champ automatically?  That would create a more interesting scenario for the feather weight division because McGregor will surely come after him.

And Aldo saying "not even McGregor would bring him back" is BS.  Of course it will bring him back.  McGregor is the money fight, everyone would love to take a shot at him.  Keep in mind that most of these fighters are always close to being broke except for McGregor and recently Nate Diaz.  I'm sure there's a few others.

Edit:  Here's the link to the said article:  http://www.bjpenn.com/mma-news/conor-mcgregor/conor-mcgregor-surrender-one-belt-wins-ufc-205/

The international break must be the great chance for Liverpool to give a rest and recovery    Adam    Lallana from injury.
Liverpool will face a big clash after the international break. Liverpool vs Manchester united at anfield is the biggest derby in england.
Liverpool have 2 weeks to give Lallana a treatment.

Liverpool is truly amazing side when it have clash against strong teams, so I am quite sure Liverpool will deliver wonderful result because it is more strong side than Manchester United, Manchester United still trying to find the way to perform constant and on other side Liverpool has very good momentum.

Your statement in bold is highly arguable,  Man United has a squad that could be seen as strong as Liverpool and maybe even stronger.  The problem is they have been under performing yet again this season even with an elite manager running the team.  Imagine if Man United were performing as well as they could.  That would be so good to watch week in and week out.
11485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 204 Michael Bisping Vs Dan Henderson on: October 04, 2016, 03:06:52 AM
I would bet on old boy Dan in this one. If 46 year old Dan Henderson beats Bisping it would mean that he really is not doing this for money alone.
It is wide known that Dan's a legend it would be huge waste if would end his career with a loss.

For sure.  Henderson is fighting for his legacy, this is not like the other fights where he just cashes his check.  I would expect that in paper Bisping has the edge but when that fight begins I think it will be a different story.  Henderson wants this more than Bisping does.  And Bisping could still have his doubts vs Henderson despite what he says regarding his confidence coming in this fight.

Hey tokeweed, nice thread. Ive also shorted factom and xmr at a good price because it also looked like the market makers are out and bull traps. What do you think about ripple? Volume is fading again and considering the huge dumps I happened to think pumpers already sold. Please share your ideas. Again, nice thread, keep it up. Thanks.

I know I might regret this but I'm staying away from XRP after having two small losses when I traded it in the past couple of months.  It's too swingy for my taste and I would wait for it to settle before going back in, if I get back that is.

XRP is probably one of the best looking TA chart in Polo :

We broke an important resistance in mid september but could not hold above 1450 ish, now the most important resistance.

the old resistance at 1100 ish became support, and we consolidate here in a trading range after the break out. Once we got fuel back, market tried to break again 1450 ish but could not hold above it. We may be forming a trading range between the old resistance which became support and 1450 ish.

Ps: notice the sign of accumulation since june that are very bullish (nonetheless, one could argue last pump attempt saw a bit of distribution, which could go with the hypothesis that we could be forming a new trading range).

Thanks for sharing your chart and analysis.  I made a small buy in XRP after seeing it and I made other lower bids in case I could get in cheaper.  Wink

Keep the charts and analysis coming.  It would be nice to have more people post their thought process so that we could learn from each other.

I'm currently riding the small waves around 1300-1360. Its been like this couple of days. But It's pretty obvious someone is accumulating the sell side up until 1360 when there are enough orders. However, because of the huge dumps it might be also viable to think that market makers are out for now, as the volume is fading too. I predict a spike either way soon. Mostly likely top but it could be to 1100 too.

Market makers have nothing to do with pumper, otherwise we'll have a conflict of interest Wink

Yup the market makers don't really care at what direction the market goes as they can make some profit either way.  The whales, the pumpers and the insiders are the ones to look out for but the problem is how.

Francesco Guidolin has been given the sack at Swansea and is replaced by Bob Bradley.  I had to look Bradley up online as I had no idea who he is.  I was kinda hoping that Ryan Giggs would manage Swansea.  He might show everyone that he could do a decent job in managing Man United in the future.

Ryan giggs doesnt need to coach other club. The dynasty of manchester united belongs to him, sooner or later he will coach the team, it is just a matter of time before he become the cach. I dont think it is wise for him to go the other club and coach them, it is just silly as he is like a mascot for manchester united as well

But he's already out of Man United as far as I know and is working in a TV network as a pundit.  So why not go into management for another club who's struggling and practice his theories and try to perfect his methods.  And then help them get back in form so they can try to finish in the top 10.

It would surely be better for him to be in management than be a pundit.

Hey guys here's a couple of videos to start making us excited for the event!  I'm really looking forward on watching Hendo and Bisping fight again.  Although I think this will be a close fight, I have a feeling that Hendo could get one lucky hit...  again.

Who is going where?
2017 F1 driver line-up so far

Williams-Mercedes
TBA
TBA

Possible Candidates – Valtteri Bottas, Felipe Nasr, Pascal Wehrlein, Alex Lynn, Lance Stroll

I would love to see Pascal Wehrlein to Williams and let's see what he can do with their car.  I'm guessing he could enter Q3 consistently every week.

It will take a while before he can get a drive in Mercedes as we can see that either Rosberg and Hamilton aren't planning to retire or leave the team just yet.  So Wehrlein will have to wait for around 3 - 4 years.  It would be better for him to get a drive in better teams than Manor.

McGregor is the man, my absolute favorite fighter. I think he will destroy Alvarez, expect fireworks from Conor here.

Yeah, McGregor will ring him like a bell for sure.  And Alvarez knows this so I wonder what strategy he'll be using in this fight.  If he's thinking of backing out vs Connor then he's just playing into Connor's strategy which is to press and bully fighters to the fence.  I can see this fight going under 2.5 rounds and Connor winning via TKO/KO.

Big suprise Manchester city lose with the score is 2-0
Indeed, Tottenham is better than Manchester city

Lol did you even watch the game or are you just trolling the thread?  Both clubs played superbly and as a City fan I wouldn't be too sad to see them lose.  A much deserved win by the Spurs.  Good game.

Basically, both teams are equally strong also both unbeaten in EPL but this time more fortunate Tottenham
playing confidently in front of fans improve their performance I'm also not surprised one team loses but I did not think Man city  not scored typically Man city scored at least 2 goals

Yeah...  You have to give it to the Spurs.  They pressed really well and from watching the game you could see that Wanyama made all the difference for them in the midfield.  He kept winning the ball back for his squad.  I fancy he could be as good as Kante this year.  I guess we'll have to see.

Damn Manchester United, dominated the match so hard but only can make 1 goal. It's really sucks and cost me so bad. It's seems Man United is not serious on Europa League, god damned it.

Damn too, I bet MU -3.5, because the opponent is a weak team. IF RM  or Barca replace MU, the result would be 4-0 5-0 6-0

Wow dude, you are really brave have that bet, Man United -3.5. Well, we can't compared Man United with Barcelona and Real Madrid though. I think Man United not serious about Europa League.

It would be a dumb decision for Mou if he will let this Europa League away. It is a way for them to be on CL next year aside being top 4 on Premier League. In fact they also still struggling in EPL. It is good to focus on one competition only, but how if they failed on local league while they out of Europa League. They should be able to focus on how to play their best on both competitions. At least if they failed on one competition then they still have another way to play on CL.

Yeah it would be a bad decision to not try winning the Europa league considering they a have a squad deep enough to win all competitions they are in this year.  And I don't think Mourinho is not serious about the Europa League as that guy wants to win all the time.  It's not in his bones to back down and he always finds ways to winning.  To prove my point, watch United spend on transfers this winter.  Cheesy

Yeah, good for Ricciardo winning the race.  He's one of my favorite drivers out there.  And the race between the two Red Bulls was a little bit entertaining.  Too bad Hamilton's engine went on fire.  It would have been nice to see him gain more points for the driver's championship and seeing Rosberg cringe and whine again would be priceless.  Grin

There were a lot of surprises in the matches this week and I can see that a lot of people lost their bets.  I think Man United played really well and should have won that game although I had a feeling that it will be a low scoring game.  It shouldn't have.  That game would have been 3 - 1 or 4 - 1.

Spurs and City played well vs each other so I wouldn't be too surprised if either club won.  Leicester is where it should be, if the top clubs were performing well last year the best LCFC can be is maybe in the third or the 4th spot.

Hull City is on fire on its home ground and Chelsea is not looking into good shape there, 1st half finished without any goal there now I placed my bet on under 1.5 goals @1.87, as per my opinion Hull City will keep pushing towards draw because it doing nice job there.

That second half though...  Makes you wonder what Conte did to them in the locker room.  Cheesy

Nice display by Chelsea after half time.  I also just watched the replay of the Liverpool vs Swansea match.  Did you see Sadio Mane celebrating with Firmino?  It was funny.
