11561  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin prices go to the moon? on: March 01, 2017, 08:52:01 AM
The price today is not as volatile as it was before IMHO. Although the price of bitcoin
right now is rising due to the anticipation of ETF, whether is going to be approve
or not, the price will be stable up to the end of the year. Now if is going to moon
as you mentioned,  you don't want to go there, why? because once the price peak as
is highest, it will surely fall very quickly and suddenly. So just a steady claim will
be nice for us, just enjoy the ride for those crypto enthusiast.
11562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: March 01, 2017, 07:53:11 AM
Denver has lost 3 of his last four games. They lose 5 of the 6 games they play away. Memphis is lost in their last home match. My guess is Chicago will win.
Denver managed to win this one, thanks to a triple double from Nikola Jokic, who by the way is slowly becoming a superstar and hopefully the franchise player for the Nuggets. On the other hand ,the Bulls have really found themselves all season long to get things done, even in their own homecourt. I was actually surprised to see them lose this big against a non-playoff team (yet).

I have to checked Nikola Jokic's record and saw that this is his third triple-double of the season.
And looks like this is his breakout year. As for the Chicago Bulls, yes they are very inconsistent
this season, Jimmy Butler's just had eight points on 3-for-13 shooting. I thought the Bulls gonna
win this one because they are leading in the half-time and early in the 3rd before Denver
take's over in the 4th quarter. Bulls next game: - they will host Golden State.

11565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Betting Discussion & Predicitons on: February 28, 2017, 12:56:00 PM
I can't imagine the pain and then the joy one would have gone through by betting on Moonlight and having La La Land being announced as the winner at first. The odds were terrible though for La La Land.
i can see their face has been change from happiness became to sadness but at least they still have the best actress even not win for the best pictures and indeed this is the most embarrassing moment on Oscar history

La La Land was my bet for the Oscars this year. However, I didn't got the chance to
actually put a bet on it. I also don't know what what could have been my reaction
for hearing La La Land the winner then later on it was called a mistake because the
envelope was wrong (ala Miss Universe). I think PWC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) the
auditor firm which handles this years Oscars winners (tabulating, and preparing the
envelopes) already apologizes for the mistake but I guess the damage has been
done already.
11566  Other / Politics & Society / German hostage beheaded by Abu Sayyaf militants in Philippines on: February 28, 2017, 10:52:52 AM
A German man has been beheaded by Abu Sayyaf militants in the southern Philippines after a deadline to pay his ransom passed.

Philippine and German officials confirmed that 70-year-old Jurgen Kantner had been killed after being held for three months by the Islamist militant group.
It was the second time Kantner, 70, had been abducted. He was held along with his partner, Sabine Merz, by Somali pirates for nearly two months in 2008.

11567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption in Africa: Bitcoin solving problems in the country on: February 28, 2017, 10:22:44 AM
We all know for a fact, that most African country has low income and doesn't
earn as much as those in Europe and US. So Ihink Africans believe that bitcoin
could improve their economic standing if they have bitcoin in the wallet to buy
or trade or just simple change them to their local fiat. Or likely there are a
lot of bitcoin advocates in Africa now so bitcoin is increasingly becoming maintream
there. I hope Africa can take advantage of bitcoin and become mass adopted in
the continent.

11568  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it still worth it to trade? on: February 28, 2017, 08:50:23 AM
Now up to the ETF decision is the time to trade specially bitcoin as the price is always
at its all time high. Also the alt-coins is doing good as well, ETH, ZCash etc.. so it is
also worth to trade those. And I always hear "Buy low, hold, sell high." So I think you
know what it means, you can start with small investment and make it grow. Make
it long or short term investment its up to you. Goodluck..
11569  Economy / Economics / Re: Wood Mackenzie values Aramco at $400 billion, despite claims of $2 tr by Saudis on: February 28, 2017, 07:51:44 AM
I think the Saudi's has somewhat ballooned their valuation, to somewhat help them
in Aramco's IPO. We don't know how they made such huge valuation, or what factors
or multiplier they used to get that value. Do they take in consideration the millions or
billions of reserves under the oil fields and multiple it by how many dollars?

But one thing for sure why the Saudi government is offering a public IPO of Aramco,
I think they have known already that the used of crude oil is already peaking, and
most of the motor company today want to use hydrogen to all new models of
car replacing  the traditional oil engine models.

Bitcoin price looks poised to break down from its consolidation pattern as volatility is returning to the markets.

Bitcoin Price Key Highlights

- Bitcoin price has previously consolidated inside a symmetrical triangle formation and is showing signs of breaking out.
- Price looks ready to head back south as it is trying to move below the 100 SMA dynamic support.
- Oscillators are also hinting that bearish momentum is building up.

11571  Economy / Speculation / Re: Get ready to BUYDL on: February 27, 2017, 02:06:46 PM
I think $521 is so low for the bitcoin price if ever ETF is not approved. I will still speculate
that the price will drop on the $900's range and no lower that that. And I think it will
appreciate as normal and probably reach the same price as now or more slowly in the coming
months if not approve by SEC. So we better get ready for March 11 because for sure this
will be another major milestone in bitcoin history.

What Corporates Really Think Of Cryptocurrencies

Blockchain may have more potential to disrupt corporate finance than actual bitcoin does, but that doesn’t mean cryptocurrencies are entirely ignored by the enterprise space. PYMNTS takes a look at how the corporate world interacts with cryptocurrencies — and we’re not just talking about bitcoin — from how businesses pay cyber ransoms to the role bitcoin plays in promoting T&E innovation.

11573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Operating a BTC gambling site - Worth it? on: February 27, 2017, 10:21:15 AM
Hey everyone.  Wink

I'm a passionate Web-Developer and currently got a little bit more time on my hands than usual.
I really love what I'm doing and enjoy running my own projects, so I decided to sit down and start coding a new BTC gambling website. Cheesy

Everything is prepared already:
 - I have a really catchy Game which I couldn't find anywhere else to play online
 - I have designers on my hand for some neat graphics
 - I have done the math to maintain a small house edge
 - The automatic handling of BTC transactions is finished
 - Provably Fair is planned to be done today
 - My dedicated server is ready to handle a good amount of traffic
 - [...]

Looks like you got it all set-up. However, I suggest you do a soft release. You can ask a reputable
SR or above member or specially those experienced members here that gamble on on-line gambling
sites so that they can test your new on-line game.

Quote
But I'm interested to know: Is developing a BTC gambling websites considered to be profitable?
Can I expect people to pay attention to a new game?
Is the market maybe already saturated?

I don't think that the market is saturated at the moment. So putting a online gambling site
is still profitable. I just have a few questions.
How much bankroll are you going to put initially?
How much of your marketing budget are you allocating to online marketing?.
The reason I'm asking this is because I considered those 2 as important factors to
succeed in the business you are getting in.

Quote
My decision to code this website isn't going to change, regardless of the answers I will receive.
I'm simply wondering what dimensions I could be entering with this project. Wink

I'm excited to hear your thoughts and opinions on this!  Smiley

Goodluck to your project and wish you well.
11574  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain Business Model on: February 27, 2017, 09:09:59 AM
Hi,

Can anybody tell me a business model where Blockchain is in use (except in Finance Industry) and the startup or company has already customers and revenues?
Do you have any example? Which industry is most developed in this area?

2nd Question
Does anybody know in which business areas blockchain will be most used?
Inssurance?
...?

A blockchain is a collection of data of events and transactions or a ledger that
can be shared with with many parties across the network. To simply put it is
like a database. It is called a blockchain because transactions organized into
blocks chained together and updated.

Of course since bitcoin has used blockchain technology as its foundation, a lot
of industries are taking notice of it and are being experimented at various institution
globally.

Someone already posted a link to all other industries who are trying to implement it.
Just go visit that links.

11575  Other / Politics & Society / 10+ Independent Online News Sources and Why America Needs More of Them on: February 27, 2017, 08:15:52 AM
I have a good read about the current state of media in America right now. I just want to
share with you guys and feel free to comment. Here's a quote that strike me the most.

"We Don't have an investigative media in America.
Our reporters, don't go after the facts.
They're not reporters, they're repeaters."

Greg Palast - Investigative Reporter,Author

The author also mentioned many websites of independent new sources that is also available
in the internet.

11576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 main mistakes of Bitcoin newbies on: February 27, 2017, 07:13:20 AM
Hi, with price soaring and newbies joining I found useful sharing this miniguide.
Hope this is appreciated

http://immutable.today/10-mistakes-bitcoin-newbies/

Nice miniguide. Just a few comments I would like to  say:

"Plan a backup and recover strategy of your private keys and addresses. Keep them printed under your mattress. Remember you can build paper wallets and use hardware wallets as valid alternative to software"

You only mentioned how to backup and recover, but I only saw strategy for back-up,
I didn't read any for recovering it. I suggest you can add it in the articel as well.
Just my 2˘.

11577  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-02-27]Bitcoin Price Technical Analysis for 02/27/2017 – Signs of Rally Exh on: February 27, 2017, 05:37:31 AM
Bitcoin Price Technical Analysis for 02/27/2017 – Signs of Rally Exhaustion?

Bitcoin Price Key Highlights

Bitcoin price is still moving inside its uptrend channel visible on longer-term time frames.
Price is currently testing the resistance near the $1200 mark as expected but is showing signs that buying pressure is fading.
A reversal candlestick can be seen on the daily time frame but price has yet to close below the low at $1100 to confirm the potential selloff.

Bitcoin price has been able to keep up its climb but it might need to make a correction before heading any further north.

11578  Other / Off-topic / Re: Someone accidently send me money on: February 26, 2017, 02:03:16 PM
Its kinda weird someone sending you a free 100 dollars, but I guess its not your fault.
You are one lucky guy, why are you feeling bad for that money? just considered it
a gift from someone  Smiley. I guess this will be a "good" learning experience from him
to double check every transaction he will do in the future.

There was one guy/gal in the community said that he got 40 bitcoin and she/he took
it but I dunno if is real or not.

11579  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do you think Trumps supporters still love him? on: February 26, 2017, 01:03:28 PM
Hmm... I think President Trump supporters still love him eventhough he has a lot
of controversies is because they feel like he is a fresh of fresh air to the Americans.
Some of his supporters might say that he is just misunderstood or his comment
is taken out of context. Or maybe they think that he is doing the right way for the
American people specially those who voted him.
But for whatever reasons they love or voted him, I think they gonna regret getting
him to the Presidency.

11580  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: money on: February 26, 2017, 11:54:34 AM
Please i would love to know how a newbie can make Money on bitcointalk. It will do me a lot of good.

I think newbie can make money here by just reading many tutorial in earning bitcoin. Joining signature campaign that accepting newbie. But of course if you are a newbie, they pay small amount of bitcoin than other higher rank in this bitcoin forum. And lastly selling your service like translating thread in your local thread.

I would not suggest signature campaign for a newbie account, but full member one.

however, newbie can earn bitcoin from service section where you can find a lot of services you can do in order to get bitcoin.

There is a signature campaign that accepts newbie.Which is the "Lets think about the future
campaign. Here's the link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1560376.0

There's also campaigns like twitter or facebook or just a simple sign up that accepts newbie
as well. You can also offer your service to many freelancing sites.

Note: Although there are signature campaigns that accepts newbie, it is much better if
you could get a higher rank to get better pay. You must not also spam, you need  to add
a meaningful post to different discussions here.
