1163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and privacy!!! on: October 12, 2018, 05:36:35 PM
Bitcoin has paved the way for a number of decentralized blockchain systems. Among them, cryptocurrencies are especially prevalent. But, there are still a lot of functionalities that are yet to be implemented. The most basic use case is that of a secure transaction without the need for a centralized authority. Bitcoin implemented it, with one major catch and that is privacy. Don't we all crave privacy?

Originally, Bitcoin network was thought to be anonymous. Everybody felt secure believing that no one could ever recognize them. Later, it was found that it was not the case. The difficulty was public ledger that was accessible by everyone to go through. It contains all the private records. This unbolted the way for a lot of cyber hackers to extract information making it less secure. Also, anonymity was compromised due to the data leaks. Once identity is known of a Bitcoin user, anyone can go through his past and possible future transactions.

In the light of above explanation, should Bitcoin be upgraded by a confidential blockchain system which is scalable too?

Well, i believe that satoshi was creating bitcoin so that bitcoin will become a global currency in the world.
If bitcoin want to become a global currency, it will need to become public so it can be adopted by peoples around the world.
But this is only my opinion. If you want using crypto with high privacy, i recommend to use monero.
1164  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you honestly feel about the recent bitcoin drop? on: October 12, 2018, 05:28:47 PM
I am relatively new on this and was just invited by a friend to join. I sold mine months ago so I really don't have much. I was thinking that I would have been deathly afraid if I had any bitcoin and this happened. I know it isn't the first time so maybe it will be a good time to buy?

And why did you sell your bitcoin ? If you want to involving in crypto again, you should hold your bitcoin and buy more good coins in this bear market.
There is nothing to be afraid. If you want to buy coins, you must be able to afford to lose them, otherwise you wont have the patience and trust in your money.
1165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty needs KYC to receive reward? on: October 11, 2018, 05:30:39 PM
This is indeed a risky action to take. I usually avoid bounties which have a KYC requirement as much as i can.
Peoples can use your KYC to make fake account, fake information, etc. But if you know it is a legal company and won't use your KYC to anything illegal,
then it is ok to do KYC because it is verified. Not only hunters, but investors are usually doing KYC when investing.
1166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is useless so why high price? on: October 11, 2018, 05:18:47 PM
Bitcoin is very slow transaction and fee is rediculus then why people bother buying it or considering it. I have £130 of bitcoin and I want to move it and it is asking for £28 network fee. Why should people bother having it. I can't wait to get rid of it when the fee is low.

Actually bitcoin is not useless as you think. bitcoin has been used as a popular payment currency in the dark world since the early year of btc.
For now, we need to make bitcoin used by everyone in the world as a global currency. But as long as the btc value not stable, it will very hard to become a popular currency in the world.
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ♠️♠️♠️Exchange bounty stakes to ETHER (ETH) instantly ♠️♠️♠️ on: October 11, 2018, 05:10:58 PM
Well, although we can exchange our bounty stakes to ETH, the problem is we need some buyers to buy the stakes.
To make buyers come, they must have a trust about the ICO project so they want to buy the stakes to received the tokens with lower rate from ICO.
As long we dont have any much buyers for stake, the liquidity will be insufficient to convert the stakes to ETH.
1168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Power consumption of Bitcoin mining on: October 10, 2018, 04:42:57 AM
Today I read this article.....

https://www.ccn.com/bitcoins-electricity-usage-could-power-all-of-austria-in-the-future/

It says in 2018 Bitcoin mining may consume 0.5% of world’s electricity in 2018.
I think this is because the mechanism "PoW" of Bitcoin. It costs a lot of power. And it looks like this statistics only includes Bitcoin, but there are still other coins can be mined.
I am sure for some people this is not environment-friendly and this could be used as the reason to restrict Bitcoin.

Will this affect the future of Bitcoin? or will there be any new energy-saving mining method for Bitcoin or other coins? How do you think about this?

Mining bitcoin is requiring much electricity indeed, but i don't think it will be harming our resources.
There are many eco friendly resources that we can use for mining bitcoin if we want create mining farm.
There are several bitcoin mining farms that using solar energy, or other alternate energy to save more resources.
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Asking stores do they accept bitcoin on: October 10, 2018, 04:25:44 AM
How many times have you came in a store and asked whether or not they accept bitcoin when you wanted to pay?

Should we do that EACH time we visit ANY store?
Would we create a huge advertisement for BTC that way?

Would stores start accepting it when they encounter a couple of people on a weekly basis asking them if they accept bitcoin?

Should we start doing this? o.o
Should we create a community so hard core that asks for everything they pay if it could be handled in BTC?

Indeed it is not a bad idea to ask peoples if they accept btc or not. Everything to create awareness of btc and crypto is important.
to create an advertisement of btc is not an easy task. Bitcoin is not a new coin, they won't pay peoples who advertise it like new coins and new ICO's
1170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peak get lower and lower, and dips get worse on: October 10, 2018, 04:09:22 AM
Peak - 16 Dec: 20.000$

Dip - 30 Dec: 12.600$

Peak - 6 Jan: 17.100$

Dip - 5 Feb: 6.900$

Peak - 4 Mar: 11.500$

Dip - 7 Apr: 6.600$

Peak - 5 May: 9.800$

Dip - 28 Jun: 5.800$

Peak - 24 Jul: 8.400$

Now we are at 6.200 going down to the next even deeper dip

This is the long and slow death of Bitcoin as there are not really anyone new who wants to use it (let's face it, there is no use at all, only "investment"), and as current Bitcoin-believers are slowly becoming fewer and fewer, the price will continue this long slow death-spiral

Looks like your prediction was off, now the bitcoin value has gone stable in $6300+.
You cannot compare btc price on only 1 year. If you see the bitcoin value from the past years, the peak always gone higher than the past year.
1171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is anonymity the future for bitcoin??? on: October 09, 2018, 05:05:54 AM
As we can see each and every transaction for bitcoin is publicly registered to the blockchain where in all of us have access, so I am just thinking if anonymity or providing privacy will be the next move for bitcoin. Just my thoughts, you can add yours here and let's discuss it.

I don't think so. Bitcoin is not to be used with anonymity because everyone can track the transactions on bitcoin.
There are some kind of mixer, created by some peoples to make your btc transactions cannot be traced and become more private.
1172  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin confirmation times on: October 09, 2018, 04:40:45 AM
Hi All,

If I send BTC from coinbase to my blockchain.info wallet - I receive my BTC instantly, and I'm able to spend them right away without the need to wait for 10-20 mins for confirmations...

How is that possible? is blockchain.info set to accept 0-confirmations for BTC? if yes, how am I able to send BTC from Coinbase --> blockchain.info instantly and from blockchain.info to another address? where is the 10 mins block for each transaction?

Another thing, one time I purchased BTC from localbitcoins.com and the seller sent me BTC to my trezor, however, the transaction was not recorded on the blockchain? and the seller told me that there is a system in localbitcoins.com which allows sending to BTC addresses independently.

I'm cofused here and would appreciate some info..

Well, bitcoin confirmation time is around 10 minute. In 10 minute time range, bitcoin network collect many transactions and processing in 1 block.
Maybe your transaction was after 9 minute of the last bitcoin block, so you need only 1 minute to be processed. But maybe im wrong because this is only my thought.
1173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC transaction fees is going down. on: October 09, 2018, 04:06:10 AM
From last few days, btc transactions fees has been reduced remarkably. Even its transactions fees are now lower than bitcoin cash. It is really a great news for btc trader i think. How it can help the current market?? Share your logic please .

Usually, bitcoin price will depends on the network of bitcoin itself. If there are many transactions being processed, then the fee will be more than normal.
Furthermore, if you measuring bitcoin fee in fiat currency, it will be depends on bitcoin price in the market currently.
1174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reducing scam on: October 08, 2018, 06:48:44 AM
Kind time of the day, with every day in ICO we meet more and more fraud. It is clear that no one forces us to invest in these projects. But the idea of a cryptocurrency does not imply any regulatory department. What do you think that could help in solving this problem? I just see only that the advisors were responsible, or they took a pledge from the projects they are entering.

Actually this problem can be solved by only investing through the legit ICO listing platform. There are some exchanges listing ICO of other companies.
They already verified the company who want to holding ICO through their exchange. And investors won't do their research for long because the ICO being held there is already verified.
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I join 50 bounties on: October 08, 2018, 06:39:15 AM
I join 50 bounties and spent my time in front of a computer what was reasonable..?

Please clarify your thread whether you have joined 50 bounties, or you are currently participating in 50 bounties simultaneously ?
I think many peoples have participating more than 50 bounties if they start from the earlier year of ICO.
But if doing 50 bounties together with the same time, i think you are either a social media promoter or content creator.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I currently have 5 ETH. I should buy an ICO on: October 08, 2018, 05:15:34 AM

I currently have 5 ETH. I should buy an ICO. I need advice from you. please give me a list of trusted ico

It is okay to using your ETH to investing on some ICO's, but you must do your due diligence before start to joining any ICO.
Investing in ICO is risky, you have a possibility to getting scammed by the fake company.
An extra effort will be required to find a good ICO and gain profit for long time.
1177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token listing on: October 08, 2018, 05:01:11 AM
What's more better,Firstly token listing in exchanger and than distribution token or distribution token before listing in exchanger?

The ideal from my opinion is distribution first, and listing withing short time after distribution completed.
Delayed listing can damage the price of the token because unlocked tokens can be traded in the DEX with any price.
1178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: seling or holding your altcoin ? on: October 08, 2018, 04:19:44 AM
as price is going down what is the best stredigy for for altcoin
If your coins or tokens price going down, a good strategy is just holding the coins which you strongly believe about the project if you are an investor.
It will be different if you are a trader. If you are a trader, you must sell your coins when it down above 10% to stop your loss.
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My thoughts on bounty rewards on: October 08, 2018, 03:56:10 AM
I still don't get the main reason why people picks on the bounty hunter that they dump their coin whenever they received them.
My question is why do you have to complain on me selling or holding, do you have to decide what a worker should do with his or her earned money as if you both share same bills.

And if possible that their are a lot of dumper which partake in a particular bounty maybe just 60% of them in a 1% share of the total supply, so someone should explain affect the market price.

You guys just have to let we hunters be and sell at our convenient time.

The ICO company who held the bounty campaign should be responsible for the token price.
They don't pay hunters in a liquid coins, so the hunters sell their tokens with cheap price to get the money for their efforts.
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is neo good choice for long-term investment ? on: October 08, 2018, 03:21:36 AM
A lot of people said chinese ethereum for neo. I searched a lot about neo , then I bought some neo at 0.0085 btc. But it dropped at 0.0072 now. I know the market all down but neo dissapointed me. What do you think about neo for long-tem for neo ?

NEO is a good coin to use or hold for long time. But actually it is not only NEO, the other good altcoins are a good investment for long term.
But sadly there are only few peoples who can hold their coins patiently without affected by the market price fluctuation.
