No instamine , premine or any other shady tactics. It's a cut above all the others from this wave or 99%. Luckily for miners  it has not been really discovered by many here yet. That will change when a bigger exchange picks it up.

I agree 100%, and i'm glad that i added cash. its a diamond in the rough.

I vote for a new title

Don't you own an Altcoin exchange? Why do now think alts are a terrible investment?

That isn't what i meant.

Did you just get some money, that you want to buy bitcoins with?

So, you want bitcoin to go down, so you can get cheaper bitcoins?

If you wait long enough, maybe bitcoin will go up to $10,000

really i'm just waiting for goldcoins to the moon  Cheesy
1164  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can I buy an LLC with bitcoins? on: January 29, 2014, 05:44:24 AM
Does this exist? I would like to do this, kinda like legal zoom, sadly they will not take my bitcoins.

i know right? there are several lawyer listings on the bitcoin wiki. perhaps try one of those people? not sure how up to date that list is though.

r3wt, much respect from Scifi-ex.com exchange.

I was one of the first to clone your git repo on day one. It was not very good then, but you and the code grew up a lot. It's not a trivial undertaking to grow an exchange on your own,  and you delivered!

See you soon.

thanks unfocus. the kind words of encouragement is what keeps me going sometimes.
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenEx Closing for improvements on: January 29, 2014, 04:07:50 AM
I liked your exchange! weeks - its too much! why you doing this to us??  Embarrassed

to get up to par with the other exchanges, get licensing, get filed as a legal business, add account logging, add 2fa, et al.
1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenEx Closing for improvements on: January 29, 2014, 02:33:44 AM
withdraw limit lowered.
1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenEx Closing for improvements on: January 29, 2014, 02:25:57 AM
Since trading is disabled and you would like us to withdraw funds, could you please turn off BTC withdrawal minimum?
Cannot withdraw or sell more to get to the minimum required.

Thanks!

.001 would be the bare minimum, i hope you can understand why.

Yep! That will do just fine.
Thank you Sir!

alright. i'll make that change later.please do not spam small withdrawals. attempt to withdraw all your balance in each particular coin at once. this isn't targeted at you, just anyone in general. thanks
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenEx Closing for improvements on: January 29, 2014, 02:20:47 AM
What are you using as the trade engine?

umm, we're using the trade engine?

Ok, now it says I have a pending withdrawal! There was definitely something up before as you can see "adversor" had the same issue as me.

Anyway, please process my withdrawal when you can and I sure hope you are able to relaunch the site as soon as possible as you have a great coin selection!

Thanks!

waiting on the coins to confirm into the hotwallet, then sending out transactions. there's some type of hold up or something, i'm not sure why the chain is so sluggish right now. it seems like its taking more and more transaction fees to get confirms these days.
1174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenEx Closing for improvements on: January 29, 2014, 01:02:34 AM
i made a page to view all open orders. this should help you cancel your open orders and withdraw quickly.

https://openex.pw/index.php?page=open_orders_all

I am unable to make a withdrawal from your site, it appears to be a common issue as can be seen in the chat:

Quote
adversor: why does it tell 'Username or password is invalid' when I want to withdraw. Login works with user/pass of course.
cryptmaster: i have the same issue adversor

I'm cryptmaster. Please process my withdrawal manually - you may send my remaining BTC to the same address I made my deposits from:

12x9L6CxJNrXUGBQvFp9Z18cDvaThvU6Ry

I'll report here when paid.

Thanks!

are you putting your password in the correct box? i can't imagine why you wouldn't be able to withdraw with the same password you login in with. that's just bizarre. the code is the same on both pages.
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenEx Closing for improvements on: January 28, 2014, 11:55:04 PM

1177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / OpenEx Closing for improvements[Postponed] on: January 28, 2014, 10:54:06 PM
I have decided to close the exchange this friday for a period of two to three weeks to make the following changes:

-system improvements
-better account history and logging
-joined tables for balances
-LTC market
-Fincen registration
-Registered LLC
-EULA
-2fa
-Security Audits

Please withdraw your coins from the exchange by friday. If this deadline is not met, we will extend it until monday, the 3rd of February.

thanks

EDIT:

Today i was diagnosed with acute pharyngitis, and will probably be bedridden for the next couple of days. All things considered, i have decided to reopen the exchange temporarily and have promoted Koontas and Fivemil to admininstators to confirm your withdrawals and assist in your support tickets. I suppose that when i come back to work i will just begin development on the new system in the background and allow fivemil and koontas to take on the administrative roles. i think it will be possible to "migrate" to the new system without downtime/loss of user accounts. i promise that i will test the new update extensively prior to releasing. also, and as a side note, i will send the first fee share payout tommorow. i may be very sick but i will still be able to use the laptop in the bed atleast for short periods of time.

If you have any questions please direct them to support. the staff has my cell number so they will be able to contact me if need be. please do not barrage support with tickets like "my withdrawal didn't go through yet" or "please add <insertcoinnamehere>." or any other non essential support issue. if a withdrawal hasn't come through yet it probably hasn't been processed. please note, this does not apply to the  rare circumstances where it shows up in your history but you never received it. that is a perfectly valid support request.

I hope i have cleared this up a bit as to my absence the last 3 days.

Oh, and if you ahve a support request that was never resolved, please close the old ticket and open a new one. the support ticket system needs to be rebuilt so its messy and confusing for an admin to navigate.

Anything else you can send me an email admin@openex.pw i will try to check it atleast 1-2 times per day until i'm back.

Thank you

Really, thats your retort? more baseless accusations? FYI, i updated to the latest source as soon as i knew about it. now i'm asking the question that needs to be asked. you instead of answering attempt to shift the focus onto me, which is the retort of children and immature adults.

and fyi, the genesis hash being wrong in the checkpoint file is a major problem, for obvious reasons. this is why your coin is forked, but by all means continue to tell me why i'm wrong and you're right.
just take astrocoin off your exchange and leave the astrocoin community if you think its a scam, nobody asked you to stay here
hes probably trying to get the price low so he can buy more since he couldnt steal enough coins...idk

Actually its because the coins were stolen, and i need to find out why, but nice attempt to switch the focus off the obvious scam dev team, which has been called out repeatedly.

once again, i'll post these transactions which should not be accepted by the client but are. why they are valid is anyones guess at this point.

http://pastebin.com/rtTTZ33p

using these transactions, the attacker was able to drain the ASR wallet on our site. its unclear how they were able to make these transactions appear valid. possibly a spam attack on our node with the illicit transactions? Again, i'm here asking for help, no reason to be butthurt.

If you're looking for help, making false claims that we changed the genesis hash and other BS that we're a "scam" dev team (In what way have we scammed? NO WAY AT ALL)  when all we did was fix the bug in the code is NOT the way to get help.

I made no claims until you and your sock puppets started attacking my exchange, for simply asking these questions. lie about me i'll lie about you. again, the client is accepting these transactions, and should not be. that is what i am trying to find out here, is why. there was an attack on bitcoin in 2010=2011 that was similar to this. i'm trying to figure out if this is a limited incident, ie our node being spammed with the fake transactions, or if its a global incident in the network.

maybe you could check the transactions in your client and see if they are valid. if they are not, then it is obviously a problem with our node being spammed, and i would need to add a connect directive to conf file to only accept connections/blocks from trusted nodes.

Our wallets are fine, this must be an issue just with your exchange. I don't see those txids in the blockchain, http://cryptexplorer.com
or http://altexplorer.net... , not sure exactly why.

My apologies again. i know what happened now. could you pm me with some trusted nodes that i can use with the connect directive. i need some official, trustworthy nodes to prevent this again. I will accept responsiblity for this one.
