BTW, what are your thoughts on https://www.blockexperts.com/ ? I'm think about getting service for CSC on this block explorer. It's very clean. The ones we have are not as aesthetically pleasing.

Yes that looks very good to me, could you ask if they have a JSON api available as well?

As GoldSeal indicates there are quite some interesting things on the horizon but there is also a backlog of things that should be done on the wallet. Several people asked if they could help in some way, well one thing that needs to be done is going over open and closed issues from Litecoin and Bitcoin and deduct any necessary changes that need to be applied to the Casinocoin wallet. Not everything will be relevant but things like security issues or important bug fixes will need to be applied to Casinocoin as well. You can find the Bitcoin and Litecoin issues here (click on closed to see the already closed issues):

https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/issues
https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/issues

To create new issues you can go to https://github.com/casinocoin/casinocoin/issues. Please be clear in explaining what should be done and add a reference to the existing issues. You can also add enhancement requests if you know of things that should be added.

Weird, the port is open, server is 1 and its running.
Can you look in you're casinocoind debug.log for errors?

I am in too, willing to bring in all the java and android sources so we have one central source code repository. Also it would be wise/handy to use some collaborative software like https://www.drupal.org/project/openatrium so we can better accommodate a group effort. Anybody else knows any good software for doing that?

So you are casinocoin ?

Yes that is me, just for day to day posting any official updates will come from this account or mentioned by GoldSeal.

Hey dude. cheers. Ping me when you have a chance. The forum and tutorial links are broken on the website. Also we may need to fix the host records for the dns seeds. Some people have indicated that some of the seeds may not be working.
You can add 81.169.131.31 as a seed, has been a permanent node for more than a year now at megamineros.com

I tried that, like this:
addnode=81.169.131.31:47950
maxconnections=1

but it connects to other ip's instead. Is there any way to get this to work with just 1 predefined node? Would like to test if bitraise.me could be used as a seed node.

firewall blocked it somehow, can you retry?

yes, works, what did you unblock? because the port is open at bitraise.me

It was blocked by the firewall at my end. The firewall config was not persisted and due to a server reboot recently it had been lost. After updating it you could connect again. I also tried your casinocoin daemon at bitraise.me for address:port 178.62.180.81:47950 but it results in a socket recv error 104. A telnet to the same is also dropped immediatly so you either did not start your daemon with server=1 or you have not opened port 47950 at your side as well.

To keep the original CasinoCoin account clean I decided to create this separate account to post, and will be attempting to remove any unuseful posts from the original account since I made quite a few over the years that were unrelated to the development of CasinoCoin (proof last line of the original post).

I'm almost done the new website(Just getting back into study mode so ill have some down time to finish it up in the next few days) and will add GoldSeal to the github REPO in a few days to see what he thinks, but there has been several other issues addressed that need to be taken care of.
The main issues are the DNS seeds currently that need to be fixed, my seed is currently offline(csccity) so any other dedicated seeds please post.

Going to roll through the posts ive missed now to see about anything else! Please direct PMs to this account as the notifications go to my personal email now so ill be seeing them daily instead of checking periodically with the main account.

Good you're back again! If there is renewed serious interest in moving this coin forward i think we should put some most basic and important things in a 'foundation like' structure where costs are being funded by the community and several people are in the lead and have access to the most important items. Things that should be controlled by the foundation would be:
- Source Code Repository
- DNS records and seed management
- Foundation website
That would be the only way to protect the public interests of CSC and take of the financial burden of the shoulders of a few. With all due respect but having control in the hands of one person is very dangerous, we all saw what happened when Transcoder disappeared from the face of the earth!

Nice to see a renewed interest in CSC!! Been a while since i last did some development work. I still have the Java CasinoCoin and Android wallet implementation on GitHub. I even build a test Dice Server with ADF (the oracle JSF implementation) that also includes on how to run a Java based casinocoin daemon that handles wallets and transactions. If there is an interest i am willing to continue some development on that. Is there a new big party involved in the latest surge? Anyway, contact me if i can be of any help! I am still willing to help this coin move forward!

good to have you back! Still waiting for casinocoin to get back and get things updated.
What needs to be updated? I can imagine the wallet has quite some issues that could/should be resolved. Somebody should look at the bitcoin source tree and deduct any important changes, bugs and security issues from the last year or so and we can then build them into the CSC wallet. I still have a Qt development/build environment available for CSC.

no so much the price -- more the hashrate -- CSC is at the threshold "point of no return"
very few outsiders investors are willing to look at anything under a GH/s amoung asics
none at under 100 MH/s
And an other thing, ... it is not so much the hashrate but the amount of peers that make a crypto network stable. It is better to have 100 peers with 100 KHash than 2 peers with 100 MHash. If big hashing power peers enter or leave the network it will reestablish itself automatically. If there are enough geographically separated peers the network will not be influenced by the loss of a few!

but how long will the casino coin take to establish the name
Well, how long will it take for real casinos to adopt cryptocurrencies? Not sure, even though there are clear advantages in using crypto it is still a long way from being adopted. Thats why we are now focusing on software and hardware to simplify adoption. We already have a server daemon, client wallets, Java implementation and Android wallet, the free Dice Server is on its way and now we are also working towards a creditcard like system. What other cryptos are that far?

I always stated i am a developer, not a marketeer, ... i hope others step up to the plate and take care of that part. I will not take much at the moment to take a stake in CSC and help promote the coin into a bright future!

Not so much an issue as well, as soon as asic scrypt is becoming mainstream hash rate can be easily increased to needed levels. I think the main developers for casinocoin (Goldseal, casinocoin and myself) are trying to get all necessary software in place first before heavily investing in hashrate and price. For now that would only suit the crypto traders and not actual investors!
I guess CSC is true to the brand ... gambling ... but Russian Roulette can end ... in a BANG!

Well then, name me one Crypto currency aside from Bitcoin and Litecoin that has a true long term bright future? Bitcoin or Litecoin would be sufficient as a crypto currency for gambling were it not for the average high block time. Casinocoin solves that issue and has the brand name as you stated. All other cryptos will be obsolete in the future ...

the price has dropped below 200sat and the hashrate is now below 100mh!
You stand daringly close to the cliff - immediate action or death - am afraid Sad
Not true! For $100 the price can be raised to 300sat, .... there simply is not a lot of CSC being sold, everybody holds on too them. For now not a problem, actually a good thing, when the price rises in the future this will change automatically. The same goes for hashrate.

There is still development going on although not always visible. Everybody always jumps on new coins that arise every day in the hope one of them will be the next Bitcoin success. Casinocoin is still one of few that actually has a business case and has the potential to fulfill an actual real life application instead of staying in the dungeons of crypto markets. This coin is far from dead !!!!

I've been in Thailand and Cambodia last nine days. However, I'm back as of last night. I've started talking to Gemalto about adding 2FA. They have some interesting thin token tech that I want to see if it can be integrated.

Take a look:
http://www.gemalto.com/financial/cards/display-interface
Whoow, those are really cool. Probably cost a lot as well  Undecided Have you also asked them about possibility and price for getting a SDK of some kind?

Very busy the last few months back to school and moved to a new city almost completely settled in!

I still watch and monitor CSC very closely and am happy that there is still some buzz around, but frightens me that the price has dropped below 200sat and the hashrate is now below 100mh!
WE as a community and especially myself need to figure out some ways to boost the popularity and gain more adopters.

On a plus note we have almost broken the 700,000 Block mark!

No worries. Scrypt asics will be in full force next few months. Then hashrates will go up and prices will follow with higher difficulties.
Yep same here. My daytime job has not allowed me the last 6 weeks to finish the Casinocoin Dice server but i have not given up on it, it will be finished in the near future. I am fully supporting CSC now for more than a year and not planning on dropping it at all. Just wish there was more active development aside from GoldSeal, Casinocoin and myself but still certain that this coin will be around in the future when others have disappeared. Its just one of the few coins that actually has a businesscase.

@GoldSeal, any luck on the CSC creditcards?

Ajo always creating amazing things for casinocoin, much appreciated

Is there any instructions for installing it(I haven't checked over the git to closely yet but will later tonight)
As well is there any ways to get this into the CasinoCoin wallet, or the mobile wallet ?

Id love to add the dice to casinocoin city or even link directly to your version

There is a Server Installation Guide.txt in the docs folder on GitHub with the steps to install and configure a VPS. If you find any missing steps or problems please create a GitHub issue for it.

I do plan on adding an API that supplies the available bets and the mobile wallet contains a payment request option to initiate a wallet payment so creating a mobile dice application will be straight forward and fairly easy to implement.

Most important things missing in the Dice Server and that are on my todo list:
  • Jackpot Bets implementation
  • Administration interface
  • Job scheduler that checks for system integrity, invalid transactions, bet results, table/records cleanup, monitoring reports, etc.
  • GUI improvements
  • Multi language support

I have no real intentions on running an actual production Dice Server. My strength lies in software development and i am doing all this because i simply have a big stake in CSC and i really believe in the future of this coin. So be my guest and start a dice server and i will try and help wherever i can, ... that goes for everybody here Wink

Please do remember that the current version is far from production ready.

Nice to see some development on CSC again Smiley
I read "less than". What is the total number of random numbers? Good job jochems!
On the last tab there is an explanation on how your 'Lucky' number is determined. It could be done with a random number generator but it is actually based on the TX id of your incoming bet transaction. The id is concatenated with a secret hash which is created new every day. That string is passed through a SHA-256 hash generator and that results in a hexadecimal string. The first 4 bits of that string is your lucky number so that can be a maximum of FFFF which is 65535. So 'Less or equal to 62260' is 62260 / 65535 = 0.95 -> 95% which is the possibility that your number is less or equal to 62260 if the max is 65535. The first bet is less or equal because i made the BetProcessor class smart enough to handle expressions instead of hard coding them compared to all other dice servers out there. When the Administration interface is ready you will be able to define your own bets like value1 | operator | value2.

I think the idea for a jackpot is also new for a dice implementation. On every bet there will be 1 coin moved to the jackpot (thus a minimal bet of 2) and a random number will be generated between 1 and 256 so you'll have a 1 in 256 to win the jackpot.

I still have a lot of work to do but i think that within about 4 weeks i will be able to release a first production ready version. Than we can promote all over the forums that there is a free Dice server implementation available. The only thing you would need is a big stash of CSC to startup with to be able to backup the first bets and a VPS to run everything on. Depending on how high you will set the maximum bets you'll need arround 100.000 to 500.000 coins to start running.

Any ideas on features or GUI are appreciated. If you are interested to be among the first to startup your Dice server you can contact me and we'll see how to get you up and running!
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] ♠ CasinoCoin v1.3 ♥ ♦ 1+ Years Old ♣ on: September 13, 2014, 09:30:36 PM
Lack of news is not always lack of development Wink I just finished uploading and installing a first BETA version of the free DiceServer for Casinocoin.

It is a full MVC Java based dice server that is build on BC4J (Business Components for Java) for the model and Oracle's ADF implementation of JSF. It is based on ADF Essentials which is free to use and deployed on the open-source community version of Glassfish Java Application server. It is using MySQL as blockchain store and web application store.

The base of the Dice Server is CasinocoinJ which is the Java implementation of Casinocoin which i release a while back. The sources of this Dice Server can also be used as basis or example for all kind of online casinos that are Java based or other casinocoin Java applications. It shows how the server downloads the blockchain and handles incomming and outgoing transactions.

I installed an instance of the dice server on a VPS: http://h2338826.stratoserver.net/CasinocoinDice/faces/start. The server is fully functional and if you select a bet address and sent coins to it your bet will be processed, when you win you will receive your price, if you lose you will receive a 0.001 coin verification transaction. Desiging a nice GUI is not among my greatest talents so any ideas on that are more than welcome Smiley

Please be patient as its still in BETA and the jackpot bets are not working correctly yet so do NOT sent coins to those addresses as of yet. For now i can not guarantee the correct processing of bets so hang in there with me.

If you can't wait you can find the sources at https://github.com/ajochems/CasinocoinDice and i uploaded a first v0.1 release of the application ear file. To use the sources you will first have to install Oracle JDeveloper 12.1.3 which you can download free of charge (after registration) from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/downloads/index.html.

If you encounter bugs please create issues at GitHub for it.

As always, ... Enjoy!
