vert.PoolMineWith.Us is open for your hashes!

Bring your miners and hash out!

PPLNS, 1% Pool Fee, eMail Confirms

Wouldn't a 1 MHz scrypt ASIC able to mine this at 500 KH is everyone is hashing at half their max? What is stopping from small gridseeds to scale?

haha, fortunatelly not Cheesy ASICs are out of this..
they are built directly to be used on scrypt nothing else.. they are dumb devices doing just one task..
GPU can adapt to different n factor in this algo which will increase through time.. so even if they started to design new asics to VTC right now (and it is not really simple process), by the time its out, VTC may have higher n factor putting them again out of game Cheesy
This is why VTC is and WILL be ASIC resistant...

ASIC prevention will kick in in two years. Adaptive N-Factor is BS branding. VertCoin is just another shitcoin
ASIC prevention is NOW, dude. Have you even tried to mine this coin? It's hard as hell. The developers here are aggressive and will listen to the community. ASIC prevention is key feature of this coin. They will change N-factor scheduling if needed.

It doesn't work. The mining process simply becomes more difficult for everybody mining the coin when the 'Asic prevention' kicks in.

This.  Looking at the code, that's part of the reason hash rates are half of what normal scrypt coins get.  When the next Nfactor tick kicks in, hash rates will cut in half again.

Worse yet, when that next Nfactor tick hits, all of those currently working settings that everybody has optimized for all their cards will start killing cards like the normal scrypt settings are for the current Nfactor.

Sure, it's ASIC-proof, but it'll end up being GPU-proof in just a tick or two as well.

Yeah it's soooo hard to change a config every few years.
It's pathetic how they want to see Vertcoin dying. Cheesy

Don't get me wrong, I definitely DON'T want to see it die.  I never said that at all.  (Okay, I may have implied that with the "This." statement, sorry.)

What I did mean to say is that I seriously doubt with the way that the code was designed that miners won't be able to keep up with it.  GPU mining speeds have been getting better each generation, yes, but those improvements have been INCREMENTAL, not EXPONENTIAL.

I think ASIC's will be working on VertCoin, especially if it maintains success, a lot quicker than you all think.  Adding memory to an ASIC design isn't quite as hard as people make it out to be.  It's more of an added cost and more power budget than anything else.  But if it's profitable, they'll do it.  Unless I messed something, VertCoin is still pretty much scrypt, it's not a huge change at all.

Come mine on top.PoolMineWith.Us and get you some TopCoin!

Seriously, come get some.  We wanna share.  There's too many TopCoin and not enough miners!

I don't mind keeping them all to myself, but really...

Have no fear... kdc.PoolMineWith.Us is still most definitely a KlonedikeCoin Pool.

And we always will be.

Sure, we've branched out and have a few other pools now too, but Klondike will always be our favorite!
Bring your hashes on over and pitch a tent.  No, not THAT kind of tent!

cash.PoolMineWith.Us

I guess we're getting a little bit more popular now that a real exchange picked up the coin?

Come join the fun.  I promise nobody pees in this pool.

Still have plenty of space for miners over here on cash.PoolMineWith.Us.

Proud to be supporting CASH and giving folks a place to mine!  Bring it on!

KDC would be nice. Sad

PoolMineWith.Us has a nice, shiny pool open for your Crypto CASH coin needs!

Nothing fancy, just a pool that works.

(The usual: PPLNS, 1% fee, email confirmations, running v1.1, etc)
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: TopCoin - Unique coin because of 2 day block halving. on: February 04, 2014, 04:50:08 AM
No coup for PoolMineWith.Us - we didn't get our first block on before the half.

Of course that might be because we just opened the pool 10 minutes ago. Smiley

(PPLNS, 1% fee, mail confirms, blah blah blah)

I'd like to see this logo image:

In a smaller "banner" form.  Preferably one that the OP allows affiliated sites/pools to use on their sites.  Wink

cryptofountain keeps going down, cant register to coinarmy, smalltime closed...

PoolMineWith.Us is here - and we always will be.

At least until our datacenter burns down...  Undecided

Yes, another crappy payout - but look at the graph.  I bet you're all sitting on a MOUNTAIN of unexchanged balance, for a second straight day.

My guess is we're sitting on coins that can't be exchanged through an automated api waiting for H2O to do it manually, but he's been tied up trying to fix the regional server issues.  (That's me trying to be optimistic and nice)

I'd still much prefer to have whatever is causing the work restart requests fixed, since that's causing a huge drop in efficiency.

kdc.PoolMineWith.Us

Blah blah blah, blah blah.  Blah blah blah!  Blah blah blah.

BLAH! BLAH BLAH BLAH!

(We figured we wouldn't waste your time with useless words that would just get ignored in this ad for our pool)

People should start moving away from Smalltimeminer, way to much hashpower there.

We'll happily take any castaways over at PoolMineWith.Us!

Network hash rate jumped from <400Khash/s to over 1Ghash/s.  Gravity kicked in.
Network hash has been around 900-1100mhps the whole day  Shocked

It was sub-400's last night.

I looked at last night's payout and said  Sad

I looked at last night/this morning's unexchanged and said  Shocked

That line is gonna rocket right up when that sucker goes.  My guess is that we've been mining a few coins that aren't traded on any exchanges that can be automated over the last day or two.  Gotta wait for H2O to manually exchange em.

Plenty of room over at kdc.poolminewith.us...

It's eerily quiet over here.

Just a tip guys. Use sgminer 4.0.0 instead of cgminer. Then use optimized .bin files not the optimized .cl files. Optimized .bin + sgminer 4.0.0 will give you  20kh/s to 30kh/s more. For those miners who uses cgwatcher, you can download version 1.3.5.2, rename the .exe file sgminer to cgminer so that cgwatcher will recognize it. Remove argument "-scrypt" since sgminer was designed for scrypt mining.

Or you could just use cgminer with the optimized bin files and get the same results WITHOUT the bugs that sgminer has.   Roll Eyes

I tried that but i get more hashes with sgminer. The only bug that i see on sgminer is it doesnt show the accepted shares and it shows percentage rejection rate. I just disregard those info and focus on cgwatcher to check my miner stats.

There's tons of bugs with sgminer.  GUI input locks up if you try to switch pools, various settings don't work when trying to adjust them while the miner is running, etc.  The miner itself is okay though I guess, but I didn't find it any faster than cgminer 3.7.2 either.
