wallet doesnt sync

I have exactly the same problem on OS X. Any ideas?
[/quote

Hey Mac Friends! I had this problem too, I'm not sure if by luck/chance it worked... however, this is what i did.

Download Mac client from vertcoin site, in your downloads see Vertcoin.QT.DMG
Simply open that, and when it tells you to 'drag to applications folder' - DON'T, just double click and run it. Smiley That worked for me - just move it into your apps folder after, or keep in dock Smiley

My common sense says that since Vertcoin is better than Litecoin, it will eventually have a higher market cap than Litecoin, which means this is only the beginning of the value increase. Are there any flaws in such thinking?
This will never happen since ltc and btc are the only 2 coins which have massive support. VTC, like many other new coins, is just a temporary coin to earn (or lose) quick money.

btc is another class but do u know how ltc went 0.3 to 10 $ and why ? u give massive support me u they nothing else

LTC did not have that massive support before.. network hashrate was much much slower than this days. After decembers ATH at btc market, then network HR multiplied many times and right now on VTC there is HR about 4 GHs modified scrypt, which is like 8 GHs on normal scrypt and still GROWING HARD! In last hour there was increase about 1 GHs! Pretty impressive, huh?

Is this what you call lack of support? Cheesy I think every one is moving from all scrypt coins here and soon there wont be any reason to come back to normal scrypt coins as VTC is really technically superb, it has support and it is ASIC resistant..

I know there is huge hype, but it probably has its reason.. the value IS in this coin.. not elsewhere.. and deffinitelly not at billiardth copy paste premined clone coins that even though has quite huge market cap as well.. for example Mega Coin.. look how it will be eaten by VTC in few hours..
what has MEC ? nothing.. what has VTC? all.. yet, MEC is still slightly above in terms of market cap.. WHY? no reason for it.. VTC must hit first spots at coin market cap, that is just true and nothing else is going to happen...

I think that is what's really going to drive interest in this coin up once word gets out.. there are many, many gpu owners out there who don't want to be pushed out of the game by high dollar asics.. cpu/gpu provides a more "level" playing field for the little guy who doesn't have $50k to spend on hardware farms.

I don't know about overtaking litecoin anytime soon, but there is no way anyone could say this is another doge fad.. this coin has some solid fundamentals and i think that will be it's driving force in adoption and value.

Wouldn't a 1 MHz scrypt ASIC able to mine this at 500 KH is everyone is hashing at half their max? What is stopping from small gridseeds to scale?

I went all in on most of my coin holdings and am the proud holder of 580 coins. If we do end up seeing bitcoin 1:1 pairing, oh my god my life has changed overnight...

haha, fortunatelly not Cheesy ASICs are out of this..
they are built directly to be used on scrypt nothing else.. they are dumb devices doing just one task..
GPU can adapt to different n factor in this algo which will increase through time.. so even if they started to design new asics to VTC right now (and it is not really simple process), by the time its out, VTC may have higher n factor putting them again out of game Cheesy
This is why VTC is and WILL be ASIC resistant...
