1161  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much safe Electrum 2FA is? on: November 13, 2023, 02:03:45 PM
The whole concept of Electrum wallet was to provide a non custodial wallet. It is still open source and I believe it will remain in the same manner. What made it look bad was when they introduced a mobile wallet.

In the beginning it looked good, while you still we're able to do what with the wallet on a mobile instrument as it was with on a desktop. After their latest release they are now one of the worst wallet for some one using a Bitcoin wallet.

In the meantime there have wallet, that came out with a lot of features. For me the unstoppable wallet is good and the best part is that you can use it for multiple crypto

1162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's happening with Bitcoin transaction fees? on: November 13, 2023, 01:01:29 PM
Is there any solution to what is happening with the transaction fee? Apart from getting the Blockchain forked what else can be done. The fees are now becoming a pain for small business owners and those who make micro payment.

I think everyone should move towards the LN. As it is the only option left now. Considering a person who wants to buy $20 wort of product or someone interested in transferring $20 worth of Bitcoin. They would need to pay $5 worth of fees. Is this what Bitcoin meant when it was launched.

In the end a common person won't be able to enjoy swift transaction other than finding a solution to preserve money in the form of Bitcoin.
1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC] Eloncoin - Mars, here we come!! 🚀 - POS Energy Efficient. on: November 13, 2023, 12:51:18 PM
My question is that do I need more coins for staking? Or Staking has been disabled.
250 EMC is too low to get a block in years. I have a lot of ~50k EMC inputs with an average age of 15 days. I'm not regularly staking these days but getting few blocks every hour when I enable staking.
Staking is disabled in your wallet. You need to enable that.

Hey! Thanks for explaining how it works with staking. Got another set of 250 coins and now I have 500 in total. Keeping my wallet online if I can get a few more as reward.

If not then it is bad luck for me, atleast I am trying as I always see 13 connection active. Why others are not keeping their wallets active is not my concern but the owner should make it compulsory for those who are in the signature campaign to do it as one of mandatory requirement.
1164  Local / India / Re: Will Bitcoin reach $150K in the next Bull Run? on: November 13, 2023, 08:47:35 AM
Like I said, I keep the next target at 40k USD. I have sell orders ready at 45k and 50k USD after which I will hold back and wait for the prices to rebound back before buying back at the lows. Possibly we might even break the all time high if this momentum continues. It seems today afternoon it touched a high of 37.7k and then dropped back to 36k. Resistance is being felt at 37k level and thus we have to see if this breaks or not.

Hoping for the best Grin

I agree with your prediction that the next level for the price would be 40k and then we will see another set of profit bookings. I think we should achieve it by the end of this month or the first week of December. I read some speculation that the rebound might lead the price to go below 22k. I doubt that would happen but nothing is guaranteed with Bitcoin volatility and we as a community have seen how fast it went down from its previous ATH earlier. In the meantime did anyone check how fast ORDI is pumping? It started from $10 and yesterday it touched $24, now trading at $22. This is the coin that is causing so much congestion in the memepool. The Bitcoin transaction fee is skyrocketing because of this coin and it will remain the same in the coming times.
1165  Local / India / Re: ICC World Cup 2023 - India discussion on: November 13, 2023, 08:39:31 AM
India is on the 9* unbeaten winning run and the only team that did before was Australia twice 11* in 2003 and 2007.

And this is how India won their matches and when we look at the result column its pretty much safe to say that they shattered every oppositions whether its batting first or while chasing. India's batting and bowling is in top form and we can look that everyone in the top 5 is in the top 15/20 run scorers of this tournament.

Indian bowling unit is the actual reason why team look more deadly than before because Indian bowling unit took 88 wickets and only team that hasn't been bowled out is AFG.

India has outperformed every Indian fan's expectations in this World Cup. Yesterday might be the first time when all the top batter got their half-century and two of them got their century. KL Rahul got his century in just 62 balls and I think he created some record for getting a fast 100 in the World Cup. What made me laugh my lungs out was when I saw Kohli bowling again and this time getting a wicket.

As a fan, I have the confidence that this team will bring the cup home in 2023. Looking at the batting approach of Rohit Sharma I am confident that he will get back into the T20 squad. Next year we will have the T20 World Cup and this time he might get another chance to captain the team if India wins this year.
1166  Local / India / Re: ICC World Cup 2023 - India discussion on: November 12, 2023, 02:10:31 PM
India VS Netherlands

No changes in the team today against the Netherlands. India won the toss and choose to bat first. Both the opening pair are showing agressive batting. Shubhman Gill got his half century and Rohit will get his too. It is again becoming a one sided game as expected.

Edit: Gill out at 51 because of an incredible catch by the Duth fielder.

This game doesn't affect any of the playing team. Still the whole Indian team played without any changes. India batted very good as they crossed 400 runs today. Biggest contributor to the target for Netherlands was Shreyas Iyer and then K L Rahul. They batted so well that they each got a century today.

We all know that the Netherlands team won't be able to chase the target. It is again a one sided match as were all the other 8 that India played before getting into the semifinals.
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your thoughts about potential newly borned coins during the bear market? on: November 12, 2023, 02:02:26 PM
The coin that was launched just before Bitcoin hit 37k was MEME. This coin got listed on Binance and saw a good pump and now everyone is booking profit. I feel it will again make a come back when Bitcoin goes full throttle. Another coin that maing everyone mad in the Bitcoin community including.me is ORDI. It was listed recently on Binance and is continuously getting pumped. It started from $10 and now is trading on $21. This is another project to look into when the bull run makes a comeback.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: November 12, 2023, 12:56:57 PM

The job is still not done so fingers crossed for the semis and need a few more innings. I hope Gill also chips in and tries his best to go big, he's equally dangerous or I dare to say more explosive in this current Indian batting lineup but only if he digs in for long because this kid can hit even good balls with ease.

If India is able to defeat the New Zealand team in the semifinals then the team they meet in the finals will get defeated too. I have fear of uncertainty in my minds as India always fails to deliver in ICC trophy.

Today the top 3 played what they have been doing. Even Kohli was very agressive when he came to bat today. All three got their half century. Sheyas was at his best and KL did what was expected from him. The team is looking good till now fingers crossed they play in the same manner on 15th.
1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Open source multi crypto wallets! on: November 12, 2023, 12:47:51 PM
I have used unstoppable wallet a couple of times on my mobile device. I was previously using Electrum wallet and after the last update I have now completely stopped using it. I generally  prefer using its desktop version as it is far better than the mobile version. Unstoppable is not completely a Bitcoin wallet you can add other cryptocurrency to it.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: November 11, 2023, 02:47:57 PM
The most promising team in this format in the future looks Afghanistan.

Do you guys agree?
Absolutely! Afghanistan should be proud of their performance and i am sure they know it. They won hearts of many fans all around the world with their fight against good teams.

Still plenty of space for improvement in the field and how to handle pressure when things are not going their way but they are ticking lots of boxes, especially the batting department is maturing and it's a good sign.
Thanks for the support! If you could understand what is happening? Amul one of the big sponser startted to sponsor Afghanistan. If you remember, they were the last in the ranking and Amul still consider them a team to recognise. They did and they as a sponser would be happy.

In 2019 they were in the bottom and now they question those who qualified for.the semifinals.

1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After BlackRock ETF application, which layer 2 project will pump in sync? on: November 11, 2023, 01:20:07 PM
Layer 2 solution is what Ethereum ecosystem made out of the issues that Bitcoin is facing. These projects are the reason why Ethereum is still so successful and would remain unless a new projects come up with something new.

I doubt that as before there are projects that are good beyond expectations and they still lack what Ethereum offered. Which according to me was unique solution. They are all just copy and paste with some new features.

Whereas layer 2 projects are giving Ethereum the ability to live long and foster. Considering those views of mine, I feel these two are the best two invest, I still think the first two have good potential in the upcoming bull run. If I am correct both the top 2 went beyond $1 in the first bull run. I am expecting them to go beyond $2 this time.
1172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: November 11, 2023, 12:56:02 PM
The end of a respectable exit from the World Cup for Bangladesh. After 7 games they batted really well and in the end they again lost. They made themselves viral with Angelo Mathews time out and thanks to them we realised that such law does existed. The problem with Bangladesh is the same that is happening with Srilanka. All corrupt politicians are handling the board. After Srilanka, I feel the ICC should also ban Bangladesh board.

The second match of today is an interesting one. Pakistan known as the best team with the best bowlers lack those bowlers that they had earlier. They produced some of the best bowlers like Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Saqlain and those before I understood cricket. Look at where they are now. They have bowlers who are over hyped. They have batters who are over hyped. They do not care about fitness test and most of them are in the team because they are relative of someone known.

I am not sure what India will do in the knock out. If history repeats itself then they would be out of the competition. If not then they will be in the finals. But, what happened to these countries in the Indian subcontinent like Srilanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh. They were once the best but they are know the worst.

The most promising team in this format in the future looks Afghanistan.

Do you guys agree?
1173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC] Eloncoin - Mars, here we come!! 🚀 - POS Energy Efficient. on: November 11, 2023, 12:37:46 PM

Great! It is now listed on another exchange. I recently recieved 250 coins in my wallet and was planning on staking them. I feel memecoins and the one with Elon in its name has huge potential financially. You never know when he picks it up and it booms.

The problem I am facing is that on the top right hand side it say staking is deactivated. I did check the FAQ and it mentioned to keep holding the coins for staking reward. I hope I am correct and by the way I have 250 coins in my wallet.

My question is that do I need more coins for staking? Or Staking has been disabled.

I might be wrong or it might be my ignorance. Isn't this issue of seeing the forum down became more prevalent after the Bitcoin mixer issue. I mean it is more frequent and long lasting before the mixer got down by the FBI. I think there is something wrong and I feel the admin should have two urls. One .org and the next should be .onion.
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex was hacked (Security Breach Discussion) on: November 10, 2023, 03:29:36 PM
They are doing what some big Blockchain proposed to their hackers when hot hacked. This isn't new as this is still the simplest way to approach an hacker.

Considering if it was not an internal problem. I feel this can become a big issue if not taken care soon. One of the biggest reason why everyone uses Tron Blockchain is explained below.

1.Tron is fast and reliable.
2.Transaction fees are the lowest.
3. Stable transaction fee.

What do you think ?
1176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's happening with Bitcoin transaction fees? on: November 10, 2023, 02:22:45 PM
I have updated the OP and I am not happy with what is happening at the moment. If the developer team don't come up with a solution then this might be the end of financial freedom. This is going beyond what everyone thought as Ordinals are now growing more powerful than what we expected.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: November 10, 2023, 01:31:27 PM
BTW, does anyone find it annoying that stadium dj keeps playing hindi songs despite Indian team not playing?
99.99% of spectators are Desis and Afghanis so Bollywood songs make more sense.

I wasn't talking about particularly this match, we hear desi songs in all matches.

Why not you apply for the DJ position and suggest here before you apply what song you would want to play? The common sense here is that they are not playing for international audience. They are playing for those Indians who have come to watch the match. You should understand one point the World Cup is happening in India and the crowd that you see are Indians and not foreigners.

Coming back to the match which I skipped watching. I think this match and the next coming up between England and Pakistan are just time pass. There is nothing to watch as it is clear like Afganistan, Pakistan would play in the same manner.
1178  Local / India / Re: India trained 3,000 police officials on crypto investigations in 2022–2023 on: November 10, 2023, 01:15:09 PM

This is really a great news for the Indian crypto community and a step forward in the cyber security, the numbers are negligible comparing the size population which exceeds 1.4 Billion still the government is taking their infant step now which will encourage people to report their scams to cyber cells and possibly we can track down the scammers.

This is really a good news! Considering how much functionally illiterate our Indian cops are when there is a crime related to cryptocurrency. Getting them onboard will help the innocent community and get hold of criminals. How long are they able to remember it is a big question.

Like cyber crime there should be a dedicated unit within it to handle such issues. I am unaware whether Indian local police has such a unit. I am aware that the NIA, CBI, RAW and IB has such dedicated unit. India needs such law enforcement units locally and they should be fully equipped and have proper knowledge to investigate such crimes.
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BlackRock ETH, ETF application! Which L2 will pump in next bull run? on: November 10, 2023, 12:56:16 PM
After BlackRock application for Ethereum ETF, we saw the market reacting positively. Ethereum price rose to $2000 for the first time this year. Currently  it is still going strong and I am not sure where will it end. The below are the list of top 10 cryptocurrency projects that are providing layer 2 solution on the Ethereum Blockchain.

Which one do you think from the above list is the best in terms of speed and fees? Which one do you think would pump in the bull run and why?
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could stable coins save a deprecating economy on: November 10, 2023, 12:41:03 PM

Launching a stablecoin or CBDC on a public blockchain network is a terrible idea. I think they're better off launching their own coin on a Blockchain under their control (private chain). It's the first time governments take such a venture, so anything can happen in the long run. With or without stablecoins, you can rest assured truly-decentralized cryptocurrencies won't be going anywhere soon. Just my thoughts Grin

I don't think any cryptocurrency except Bitcoin is truly decentralized. Regardless of their benefits and the biggest myth is stablecoin considered as a decentralized entity. Being said that creation of stablecoin itself is a controversial issue. Some say it helps traders whereas some say it is a way of the US government entering into the cryptocurrency world.

I am not saying it is a good idea by the UK what I am trying to say is that they think it is a good idea. You are right creating a CBDC on a public Blockchain using a third party vendor is terrible idea. What if the third party vendor in this case is an unknown entity of the government. There can be many reason for the government to come up with such an idea but in the end the main purpose of any government is to always monitor financial activities of its citizens.
