1163  Economy / Economics / Re: Health Plan Premiums Are Skyrocketing According To New Survey on: May 08, 2014, 10:32:09 PM
I always wonder what the basis is when they say "premiums are rising" because there are about 11ty billion things that one could call premium all changing at the same time, so that kind of blanket statement always makes me curious and some of the things that come to mind for example are filed rates, group risk premiums, non risk premiums, individual premiums, some amalgamation of those? Its just a very nebulous statement that really tells you nothing...but that's probably the point.
1164  Economy / Economics / Re: Health Plan Premiums Are Skyrocketing According To New Survey on: May 08, 2014, 09:28:10 PM

1166  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Animals Leaving Yellowstone? Earthquakes and Seismic Activity on: May 08, 2014, 06:00:52 PM
I've been to Yellowstone dozens of times, watched Bison running for no apparent reason- on the road or off, tearing up trees and then stopping and playing in one of the many rivers there. Nothing unusual seeing Bison running around.

I think what causes the earth quakes are the bison themselves.  Im joking guys

1168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now You Can Pay Income Tax Using Bitcoin in Singapore on: May 08, 2014, 05:56:27 PM
Very cool but it's through bill pay service, Singapore government not accepting bitcoin directly.

Yea I think this is a third party software and they probably file the income taxes for you, everyone does that but with fiat.
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are newcommers to bitcoin laggards or what? on: May 08, 2014, 05:46:41 PM
Late laggards, Bitcoin will die tomorrow.  NOT!

Bitcoin wont die tommorrow due to the fact, Gov has some,  To many companies now involved and other supportive factors.

you will see soon the train systems are going to use bitcoin, buses, taxis.
1170  Other / Off-topic / Re: $16,264.50 ......I'm a fucking idiot on: May 08, 2014, 05:27:35 PM
Since I joined the Bitcoin bandwagon in November 2013, this is how much money I have put into Coinbase to purchase bitcoins.

Currently I only have 12 BTC, yes just 12, valued at $5367............. I have lost about 11 bitcoins investing in Alt coins (one of the Alt coins I put a huge amount of went form 80 satoshi to 2 satoshi and the devs left the coin, so I consider that money gone). I also have about 2 BTC worth of LTC but given my luck i might as well consider that gone too.

I need 1BTC to be $1355.375 in order to break even. So I have to bank on BTC going above ATH again. And if by some chance 1BTC passes $4k mark I will have $40,000 and I will be very happy (this is the only thought that keeps me from being depressed right now).

If I waited and spent that $16K now, I could have had 36 bitcoins in my posession.

How much of a fucking idiot am I?

I don't even know how the fuck I was able to spare $16K form Nov 2013 to now since I don't even have any savings myself (but no debts either)

A very big fucking idiot frankly.

There's no room to "invest" in Bitcoin anymore. The highest price I'd predict it getting from now is about $500. Bitcoin will never ever reach anything above $500 worth again. It's dead franky, you're just wasting your money.

no you just dont know how to trade, and bitcoin will reach 700 again and stop looking it as a product and treat it like a currency.
1171  Economy / Economics / Re: Ron Paul Doesn’t Believe Bitcoin is “True Money” on: May 08, 2014, 05:24:29 PM
I don't believe what this old man is saying. Bitcoin is the only real currency.

Thats why he was cheated in going for presidency, no one believes him.
1172  Economy / Economics / Re: Hypothetically, if a large enough gold deposit was found, could it cause economi on: May 08, 2014, 05:18:24 PM
The current world economy is, sadly, not based on anything material.

There was a McDuck comic where he found more gold than existed in the rest of the world. Ancient incan treasure or whatever. His reaction was panic. Nobody must ever know about it or all his gold would become worthless.

This is why bitcoin is better than gold. The supply is known and cannot be changed beyond what is already predetermined. Especially since real gold is traded several times over the actual amounts that exist.

yes thats kinda true, it goes the same thing with diamomds da beers did advertising in the 1930's and now diamond is worth something just cause of that alone, here is a video to what I am talking about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5kWu1ifBGU

Day trading is very tricky, its about patience, you cant just jump in and expect to make profits.  you should have play with a little at a time, thats what I did,  I also lose btc but very little.  There are a lot pumpers and dumpers out there, so you have to watch for those type of groups.  you must learn not to jump in fast when prices are high or when is dead. like dogecoin rigght now and vertcoin.

1176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are newcommers to bitcoin laggards or what? on: May 08, 2014, 03:28:57 PM
Definitely not in the early adopter phase for bitcoin, perhaps for some of the new cryptos. I'd say we're at the early majority stage.

I 100% disagree, out of all the people I know most won't touch crypto,  IMO late adoption.

Id say late adoption as well, and it will probably be more late adoption thats to the bad press and Mtgox for damaging bitcoin more, I say it it wasnt for gox prices would have been way higher at this time, Im sure a few adopters pulled out since many of them had lost lots of money in gox
1177  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The porn actress/actor will embrass Bitcoin ... because of the banks ! on: May 08, 2014, 02:57:57 PM
feels to me like an attack on a group of people for no good reason,  I think the accounts should be reinstated and the bank fined.

Attacks on groups on people is nothing new, everyone does it and I mean everyone.  This would be good for bitcoin let the adult industry support bitcoin save money on fees, did you know they even charge more fees if they are processing payments in the adult industry.
1178  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Woman Celebrates Her “Cool” Abortion on YouTube on: May 08, 2014, 02:48:46 PM
with all this social media around, everybody wants to be famous. they jump at every chance to record themselves in hopes of becoming famous.. because that's all that they aspire to. it's getting ridiculous.
it also got to the point now people wants to be a video camera man with there phones, I remember a man fell in the subway instead of people getting help or help they decided to record an even that could have turned tragic.
1179  Economy / Economics / Re: china playing with us on: May 08, 2014, 02:22:03 PM
China is best at FUD , they are just manipulating the market.
I'll say they are smart if they are succeeding in manipulating the market..! but they have succeeded to do it more than couple of times now.

yes they are doing it very intelligently .

I think they realized it when bitcoin went ove 1200 dollars just cause there prices where going up, its like they knew they were the leaders in the market so they took that info and used it against our market, and yes we shouldnt focous on there markets.
