Interesting theory, but why would they use an exchange? Or, if they did, why Gox and not something smaller?

Totally unsure of what I'm going to wake up to tomorrow...

$400? $500? $200?  Huh

Need Walsoraj' guidance.

A) trust issues
B) geographical issues
C) seller already on gox
D) if I'm the buyer I want that "wall to fall and bitcoin to the moon" where everyone can see it

seems like some whale wussed out.... only made the market stronger.... china charged right back to 2400 in minutes lol

No, I dont get why people think all movement means whale. Its a bunch of small-medium players selling, not a whale.

A whale move is obvious. Like mr. 10k wall the other day.

I Think Mr 10k wall was meeting someone at that price to sell. Someone had a deal that if it breaks ATH, put up your 10k coins and I'll buy it all. Someone like user:Loaded, who showed back up in this forum about this time, would be behind something like this. Most whales buy over time on an exchange to not cause a panic buying spree, they will buy off exchange, or sell off exchange, or over time to not cause slippage. They are a whale for these reasons. I agree these dumpers are medium sized coin and fiat holders. I'm not going to lie, if I had the coinage to move the market, and maybe gain an extra 10-20% on my holdings, I would do it.

I just wish new users would not panic, and maybe lose some of their own coins at a loss.

So who is still waiting for that crash to $250??  Roll Eyes

I don't see any major consolidation happening until ~$480USD

So, probably a stupid question to ask to all the bulls, but do you think there's a chance we see 300 today? Should I rebuy back at a loss?
I'm back in, which probably means that all hell will break loose. The market seems to do the opposite of what I expect from it lately.

5000 coins to 300. So I am gonna go with yes, unless a big bear comes out of the woods real real soon.

Now, in all honesty...

Who are these people buying 10+ BTC now? Like "Durp, gonna wait until we're ABOVE the ATH to buy tons of coins"

I'm glad they're doing it, but it's strange....

I guess they know next week will be huge once word gets out of breaking ATH
1172  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 06, 2013, 04:45:48 AM
People who bought in on the last ATH can now sell and come out even. I wish I could do that for some of the stock I have bought in the past!!

Does anybody remember the last time we had 6 consecutive green 15m candles? Is that a "bot game" keeping that from happening?

You end up the night at 234$/BTC and you wake up at 240$/BTC. Good morning everyone!

It looks like someone is trying to make it $234 before I go to bed  Roll Eyes

What does that even mean? Or is it a joke?

It means, as I have watched over the last hour or so, (right before I go to bed) someone has been dumping coins for whatever reason (taking profits?). That is all.

1179  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Experimenting with Jalapeno firmware... on: October 31, 2013, 02:55:57 AM
Using GenTarkins firmware I am getting 8-10gh/s on my jalapeņo averaging over 9, and 33-36gh/s on my littles single averaging just over 34gh/s with no adjustment to the firmware. I believe they are both running on frequency 9, with 7% hw errors on my jally and ~5% hw errors on my LS.

Off topic but Bitcoin related:

Anyone here watch White Collar in the U.S?  The newest episode was quite interesting.

"The team has arrested Brendan "Three Time" Holland, who ran Grey Trade, a black market version of ebay. The plan is to keep the site up and running for a few days to go after sellers. They will pose as buyers and outbid everyone so they aren't allowing illegal transactions to continue."

I guess the writers saw the SilkRoad news lol.
