Maybe google try to buyout datum in some time later, and if something like that happens I can't imagine what will happen to the price of tokens  Haha, Google does not need to buy data from anyone, because it has all information, even the favorite of anyone used Google in the past. Google does not only track through data normal, it still can track through Google Chrome, Google Seach and any product from Google, ... You can reseach more detail about this issue on Google Seach  Google certainly has a lot of information, but not all. And this information is more generalized. In Datum people can sell more personal information, and more detailed, because they will be paid for it. This is the difference. In the quality and accuracy of the data. Well, maybe I'm not right, but my opinion is. Yes, I also think, that the data from Datum platform is of higher quality, more valid and structured which makes it attractive for companies to buy. HA! if google ever announces their intentions to buy Datum, the investors will be millionaires  ) If they manage to HODL that long, yes. remember, theres thousands upon thousands of people who bought bitcoin at 0.02 - 20$ a piece, but if they all sold before prices could reach the current level of 5.5K they didn't become millionaires either. A lot of people want the quick profits; if they buy 500 coins at 5$ a piece, and suddenly that coin is at 50$, they usually won't wait until prices may or may not climb higher to 100$ or 200$. |

Although you should not be worried about the price, look at WAVES for example. It was belong ICO price, and now its kinda stable right now. Keep it up, I will buy some SONM.

I agree, let's do our homework because there are a lot of undervalued coins around this time which is before the fork. It's good to buy altcoins around this time too. Bitcoin has made a great place in people's minds and hearts and now one else can take its place altcoin is also increasing its popularity very quickly but Bitcoin has already made its root in digital world and altcoin is still like a newbie. I think in coming future there will be only trades of bitcoin and other currency trade will stop and altcoin will also be included in it as bitcoin is used by many people and has a stable value or place in digital world but it not the case with altcoin as people are just buying and selling it or converting it to bitcoin and than using it so its popularity is overthrown by bitcoin and no many people know about it as many people know bitcoin and trust it. on the contrary, bitcoin has the first movers advantage but thats basically it. Coins like NEM are cheaper, faster and lighter, so it's actually more reasonable to assume the alts will get used the most in day to day life, where bitcoin will become a hedge. bitcoin also can't magically start doing what these other coins are doing, because its just not built that way. the platforms built around the coins, like SONM for example, can't suddenly start using bitcoin instead. |

maybe, but SONM is a no future project too no future? lol Of course SONM has no future. Nobody needs access to cheap computing power. Especially not all the researchers in academia that have to wait months to get very brief access to super computers. plus it'd be terrible to have practically free world wide wifi, a laptop capable of making money when you don't use it, global energy sharing, data processing at the speed of light, dividends for shareholders, ... I'll just stick to my good ol' Windows 95 thank you very much |

This is the right moment to buy sonm even because of the bitcoin fork, it's a great project and this is a great opportunity to get on board. From my analysis this coin can reach a high price in respect of the actual one. The price at the moment is so low because the platform is still under development, until it will be released the price will stay low. Just give it time and the price will raise.
I'm not even thinking about cashing out before december 2018, once they bring out a new working version we'll see 1$ in the rear view mirror |

Well, that's already the case. Just that companies don't pay you but another company, or just steal your datas without asking. Datum will not stop this. they don't exactly steal it. there an expression: if you're not paying for the product you are the product. for facebook you are the product, same for google. you data is useful for them to sell. It's nothing wrong if they sell the data because if you register on facebook you have to accept the terms and conditions but it's great that Datum offers an opportunity to sell it on your own. when you join facebook and other social media you already sell(for free) your private data so they can bombing repeatedly with targeted advertisements,datum offer user the opportunity to sell it on your own,and perhaps earn something... But how will that change? Facebook will still be using your data when you log in to their website. How will Datum prevent that? they won't, but they might develop some sort of reverse ad blocker? Reading "reverse ad blocker" made me burst my coffee and made me say what the f*ck?! . I don't even know where to start with that... What do you mean? where your data gets hashed or something like ad companies don't know who produces which data, like coca cola knows 100.000 people on facebook like their page, but they don't know who liked it Ok, let's take a Coca-cola example. Facebook and Coca-cola will know every participant that "likes" the coca-cola, if they don't, that data is not part of Facebook in any way. After that, liking that page is not relevant. And if it is not relevant, you could just fill out the form of what you like and do not and try to sell that. how does the deep web scramble your info? You can find out drugs are getting bought, but you don't know who exactly buys it. A bitcoin address can send and receive transactions, but we don't know who is behind that address. |

I am really interested in the project. Wish it will get on new exchange though, not really keen on Etherdelta, feels like there's lots of market manipulation going on.
thats not a real exchange. Unless the company actually gets it listed on a legit exchange (livecoin, bittrex, binance, kraken, ...), its not listed in my opinion In two months tops they'll be listed on a bigger one no doubt |

I think there could have been more communication from the team to avoid this.
When you google change bank, you just get the website. Though good, they also need a reddit page, among other things. Many easy things to do to get word out about how big their project could be!
